Critical thinking is becoming an increasingly important skill in the 21st century, characterized by technological advances, globalization, and information complexity. To determine research trends related to critical thinking skills, this research uses the R Package and carries out bibliometric analysis. The metadata used comes from SCOPUS from 2014 to 2024. The data was analyzed with the keywords "critical thinking" and "basic education" to find publication trends, the most prolific authors, the most active institutions, and the most popular research topics and methods. The results of the analysis highlight the evolution and changes in understanding and approaches to critical thinking in the context of basic education over the period studied. This research provides valuable insights for academics, researchers, and educational practitioners to understand the dynamics of the development of critical thinking in basic education literature. It also offers avenues for additional research.

This study aims to develop a conceptual framework and a preliminary assessment instrument to measure kindergarten teachers' competence in integrating character education into their lesson plans. Character education, the deliberate cultivation of positive ethical and moral values in students, is increasingly recognized as essential for holistic child development. However, there is a lack of standardized tools to evaluate teachers' abilities in this domain. This research will employ a comprehensive literature review to identify the key components of teacher competence in character education lesson planning. The review will examine existing research, theoretical frameworks, and best practices in character education and early childhood pedagogy. The findings will inform the development of a conceptual framework that outlines the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for effective character education lesson planning in kindergarten. Based on this framework, a preliminary assessment instrument will be designed. The expected outcome of this study is a preliminary assessment instrument grounded in a robust conceptual framework. This instrument will be ready for further refinement and validation through pilot testing and feedback from experts and practitioners in the field. This study will contribute to the field of early childhood education by providing a foundation for developing a standardized tool to evaluate and enhance teacher competence in character education, ultimately leading to improved character development outcomes for young children.

Pembelajaran yang ideal yaitu pembelajaran yang mencapai tujuan pembelajaran secara efektif sehingga menstimulasi perkembangan potensi anak. salah satu yang dibutuhkan guru dalam pembelajaran berupa model pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak. Namun kenyataannya masih banyak guru-guru Taman Kanak-kanak yang belum mampu menggunakan model pembelajaran yang bervariasi dalam proses pembelajaran dan masih menggunakan model pembelajaran klasikal yang bersifat indivual dalam setiap aktivitasnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tentang model pembelajaran untuk menstimulasi kolaborasi anak usia dini yang digunakan di Kota Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran yang dilakukan di satuan PAUD belum bervariasi, ditemukan hanya 1 partisipan yang telah menggunakan model pembelajaran bervariatif yaitu dengan menggunakan projectbased learning dan model pembelajaran STEAM, namun keterampilan kolaborasi hanya dilakukan pada kegiatan tertentu. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena keterbatasan kemampuan guru, waktu dan setting kelas. Oleh karena itu sangat dibutuhkan inovasi dalam merancang, menentukan dan mengimplentasikan model pembelajaran terutama dalam menstimulasi keterampilan kolaborasi anak.

The research aims to describe the process and strategy of character value inculcation in elementary schools. The study was conducted using a qualitative case-study method, at one of Muhammadiyah's elementary schools in Jakarta. Subjects in the study were the principal, deputy headmaster for student affairs, coach Hizbul Wathan. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document study. Stages and procedures of data analysis are done through data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results showed that (1) Character values developed in schools are religious, disciplined, responsible and caring for the environment, (2) There are four main methods used to strengthen student character, namely motivating, advising, appreciating and exemplary, (3) There are a number of supporting and inhibiting factors for character building activities that originate from schools, students and parents

AbstractThis article uses data from the Scopus database for bibliometric review and wordcloud analysis visualization of publications related to Brain and Critical Thinking in Education (BCTE). The study highlights the importance of the brain in the learning process and critical thinking, as well as identifying research trends, key topics, and geographic distribution of authors over the decade 2013-2023. With a focus on English-language publications, the study reveals that "critical thinking" is the most frequently cited topic, with the United States as the most significant contributor. This analysis also suggests the need for further research that integrates brain-based learning with critical thinking to improve students' critical thinking and 21st-century skills in education. Understanding how the brain works will enable educators to design a comprehensive learning plan, including teaching materials, implementation, media, models, strategies, approaches, and appropriate methods, to achieve learning goals.AbstrakArtikel ini menggunakan data dari database Scopus untuk review bibliometrik dan visualisasi analisis wordcloud dari publikasi terkait Brain and Critical Thinking in Education (BCTE). Studi tersebut menyoroti pentingnya otak dalam proses pembelajaran dan berpikir kritis, serta mengidentifikasi tren penelitian, topik utama, dan distribusi geografis penulis selama dekade 2013-2023. Dengan fokus pada publikasi berbahasa Inggris, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa “berpikir kritis” adalah topik yang paling sering dikutip, dengan Amerika Serikat sebagai kontributor paling signifikan. Analisis ini juga menyarankan perlunya penelitian lebih lanjut yang mengintegrasikan pembelajaran berbasis otak dengan berpikir kritis untuk meningkatkan pemikiran kritis siswa dan keterampilan abad 21 dalam bidang pendidikan. Memahami cara kerja otak akan memungkinkan pendidik merancang rencana pembelajaran yang komprehensif, meliputi bahan ajar, pelaksanaan, media, model, strategi, pendekatan, dan metode yang tepat, untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. This research aims to find the main themes and research categories on reading difficulties (Diselectia). For the data taken to fulfill the purpose of this study, the authors searched several relevant sources from Google Scholar and Scopus (SAGE et al. & Francis). Articles were determined using four combinations of keywords; reports were included in the data set, and the researcher applied a systematic literature review method. Pieces that will become research sources are limited to the last six years. The total number of articles reviewed was 921 from different sources, namely Springer, Elsevier, SAGE, Eric, and Taylor & Francis. Articles were re-selected according to indicators, and then 194 articles were obtained. The dominant research methodology of the articles reviewed is qualitative. The four main themes revealed from the qualitative content analysis are dyslexia, causes of dyslexia, cases of dyslexia, and solutions to overcome dyslexia. Articles are filtered from topic descriptions, eligibility criteria, and search strategies. The cause of dyslexia can be due to developmental errors during pregnancy or other factors such as physical defects or habits that the child has. The solution offered by the teacher is to use several methods and learning media that are appropriate to the child's condition.

Kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir penting dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anak tentang cara melindungi diri ketika terjadi bencana banjir. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media komik terhadap pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir anak usia 7-8 tahun di Kabupaten Sidrap. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE Penelitian ini diawali dengan kelompok uji kecil yang melibatkan 5 orang anak dan kelompok uji besar melibatkan 10 orang. Berdasarkan hasil uji efektivitas thitung sebesar 10,793 dengan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai 0,001 < 0,05. Dengan demikian penggunaan media Komik Aku Pintar Siaga Bencana Banjir efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir pada anak usia 7-8 tahun

Inclusive education serves as a means for special needs students to receive equal learning opportunities alongside their peers in regular schools. This study aims to: 1) Identify the primary challenges faced by SDN 13 Banawa in implementing inclusive education, and 2) Analyze the strategies employed by the school to address these challenges. This qualitative research employs a case study approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study, conducted in October 2024, involved three subjects: one school principal, one teacher, and one parent of a student. The data analysis techniques included data preparation, coding, and interpretation of research findings to draw conclusions. The results reveal five key challenges: 1) low teacher competence, 2) lack of specialized instructors for special needs students, 3) absence of dedicated funding, 4) the non-implementation of a special curriculum for special needs students, and 5) inadequate learning facilities. To overcome these challenges, the school has implemented several strategies, including: 1) self-guided training through the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) to enhance teacher competence in inclusive education, 2) utilization of the independent curriculum, 3) collaboration with parents, and 4) leveraging BOS (School Operational Assistance) funds for financing. The findings suggest that these strategies are short-term solutions and may encounter challenges in the long term. Future research is recommended to explore more sustainable strategies and assess the long-term impacts of the measures undertaken by schools.

This study aims to analyze the constraints of teachers' understanding and competence in implementing inclusive education in Natural and Social Science Learning at SDN 13 Kampung Baru, Pariaman City. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods in the form of in-depth interviews, classroom observations and document analysis. The research subjects consisted of five class teachers, one IPAS subject teacher, and one special assistant teacher (GPK). The results showed that 80% of teachers experienced problems in understanding the concept of inclusive education, especially related to the adaptation of IPAS materials for students with special needs. In addition, 70% of teachers admitted to having difficulties in implementing inclusive teaching methods, such as the use of appropriate learning media and experiential learning strategies. The inhibiting factors included a lack of training in inclusive education (90%), a lack of collaboration with GPK (60%) and limited supporting facilities at school (75%). This study recommends organizing intensive training to improve teachers' competencies, procuring inclusive learning media and increasing collaboration between classroom teachers and GPKs. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in developing more inclusive and effective Natural and Social Science Learning strategies in primary schools.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana implementasi pembelajaran anak tunalaras di Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Tangerang. Subjek penelitian ini hanya dilakukan kepada guru kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan naratif yang bertujuan untuk mendokumentasikan data, peristiwa, atau fenomena melalui wawancara mendalam dengan narasumber yang memiliki pemahaman yang mendalam tentang fenomena tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan pengumpulan dokumen. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada metode analisis kualitatif Miles dan Huberman, yang terdiri beberapa tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran untuk anak tunalaras serupa dengan pelaksanaan pembelajaran untuk anak-anak lainnya, namun ada perhatian khusus yang diberikan setelah jam pelajaran berakhir. Perencanaan pembelajaran melibatkan guru kelas, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan dalam waktu yang khusus untuk anak tunalaras, evaluasi yang sama untuk anak tunalaras sama pula dengan yang digunakan untuk anak-anak lainnya, dan ada program remedial serta waktu tambahan yang diberikan kepada anak tunalaras.
