Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the nutrient content of composting campus solid waste with the addition of EM-4 with 4 different composting techniques and to see better and more efficient composting techniques, as well as to produce a booklet design as teaching material in biology class XII semester SMA semester. II. This research was conducted at the Compost Shop of the Natural Science Laboratory for Biology Education FKIP, Riau University, consisting of two stages, namely experimentation and booklet design which were carried out in October-December 2020. Experiments using 4 different composting techniques. The treatment given was in the form of giving EM-4 solution. The composting techniques used include: drum technique, takakura technique, bokhasi technique and hollow brick technique. The parameters measured included the nutrient content of C / N, N, P and K ratios. The results showed that differences in composting techniques for campus solid waste also had an effect on the resulting nutrient content, the C / N ratio in composting results had reached the SNI value for the C / ratio. Those who reached SNI were drum technique 15.58, takakura technique 18.71, bokhasi technique 13.02 and hollow brick technique 17.73. The N nutrient content in the composting results, the bokhasi composting technique was higher than the other techniques, namely 1.40%, the P nutrient content of the drum composting technique was higher than the other techniques, namely 0.23%, while the highest K nutrient content was the bokhasi composting technique. that is 0.24%. The experimental results are used for the design of the booklet as teaching material on waste treatment materials for Biology subjects in class XII SMA.Key Words: Booklet, composting, waste, EM-4

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the phytoplankton community andprimary productivity as the quality of watering, as well as to produce a handout designas teaching materials in biology learning in class X SMA. This research was conductedin July-August 2020 in the waters of Danau Selais, Bina Widya Campus, RiauUniversity and the Laboratory of Biology Education, FKIP, Riau University. This studyused 2 designs, namely using a survey method with the steps as descriptive quantitativein data collection and handout design. The parameters measured include physical,chemical and biological parameters. The sampling of phytoplankton communities was 4points of observation with 3 samples, while the primary productivity was carried out bythe dark-light bottle method. 18 species of phytoplankton in the waters of Danau Selais,Bina Widya Campus, Riau University and 719 individuals. The abundance ofphytoplankton ranges from 22453.20-985444.60 ind / liter which indicates that thewaters of Selais Lake are categorized as moderate fertility waters with good waterquality. The phytoplankton diversity index value ranged from 2.30 to 3.61 and theevenness value of phytoplankton was 0.53-0.62 which indicates that the phytoplanktonin Selais Lake was quite even. The primary productivity of Danau Selais at Bina WidyaCampus reaches Eutrophic fertility levels of 1,010.38 mgC / m3 / day. The parametersof Lake Sealis chemical physical factors include temperature ranging from 28.7-29.10C, pH of water ranging from 6.55-6.63, brightness level of 46 cm and total suspendedsolid, namely 18-22 mg / L. Based on the potential analysis, the results of the study weredesigned to be handouts as teaching materials on ecosystem materials for Biologylearning in class X SMA.Key Words: Phytoplankton Community, Primary Productivity, Biological Handout Design

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to got the information about student’s scientific attitude and creativity of product and correlation both of it in enviromental issues through project based learning. This research was conducted from January to June 2015. Sample in this research were 34 students of 2014 grade in FKIP Biologi UR used parameters were (1) scientific attitude with 4 indicators (curiosity, cooperative, carefulness and discipline); (2) creativity of product. Observation instrument managed by reseacher and the realibility values based Alfa Cronbach is 0.70-0.87. The creativity was scored through product (report) by using portofolio instrument, with descriptors were: Initiative (collecting information), inovation (environmental issues that are happening), variation of idea (way of display data), and suitable idea and their solution. The data analyzed was using SPSS. Descriptive statistic were percent, mean, standard deviation and inference statistic (Multiple regretion). Mean values shows that student’s scientific attitude was 79,99 (good), and the creativity of product was 80,10 (good). Positive correlation among curiosity, cooperation, carefulness and discipline give contribution as 68% to determine the creativity of product. Separately, each aspect of student’s scientific attitude give contribution for creativity of product were: curiosity (60%), carefulness (57%), discipline (48%) and cooperative (47%). The conclusion is student’s scientific attitude and creativity of product is in good category. It means that there are correlation between student’s scientific attitude and the creativity of product in environmental issues through project based learning in FKIP Biologi UR.Key Words: Student’s Scientific Attitude, Creativity, Environmental Course, Project Based Learning.

Abstract

Abstract: The research was conducted to find out about the structure of the Plankton community in the Mangrove Ecosystem Waters of Meng Kapan Village, Siak Regency. This research was carried out for 2 months starting in July – August 2020. This study used two designs, namely exploratory research and poster design. Parameters measured are biological parameters and physical chemical parameters of the waters. The research was conducted at 3 stations. The determination of stations is done by purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the composition of the type of phytoplankton in the Mangrove Ecosystem Waters, Meng Kapan Village, Siak Regency, Riau Province. as many as 16 species and 140 individuals, the composition of zooplankton in the mangrove ecosystem waters of Meng Kapan Village found 2 classes, 4 species and 13 individuals. The data from the results of this study also has the potential to be used as a poster design for Protista material in high school Biology learning for class X.Key Words: Phytoplankton, Zooplankton, Media Poster

Abstract

Absract: This study aims to identify the types of earthworms and their potential to produce electronic LKPD designs on the concept oligochaetes in class X even semester KD 3.9 and 4.9. This research was carried out from August to September 2021 at Muara Fajar landfills and Laboratory of the Biology Education Study Program. This research consist of two stages, namely the research phase I is a descriptive study with a survey method to identify the types of earthworm. Earthworm sampling was carried out using the hand-sorting method at three different stations. Determination of location the sampling plot is done by purposive random sampling method. Each station has ten plots with a size of 30x30cm each. The number of eaarthworms from each plot was collected, counted, and identified. Phase II research is an electronic LKPD design that use 2 stages, namely the analysis and design stages. The results showed that three families of earthworms were found, represented by three genera. The family Megascolecidae is represented by genus Pheretima, family Glossocolecidae is represented by genus Pontoscolex, and family Lumbricidae is represented by genus Lumbricus.Key Words: Landfills; Identify; Earthworm; Hand-sorting; Electronic LKPD

Abstract

This study aims to determine the sustainability status of the Re-Opening Oil Wells of Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The method used in this research is Multidimensional Scaling analysis which is implemented using Rap-Re-Opening Oil Wells software. Existing status of Wells Bojonegoro Re-Opening Oil Sustainability Less Sustainable with the weighting value of each dimension is 34.56%, 39.73%, 45.25%, 37.90%, 57.00%. The strategy to increase the addition of status values from the 5 dimensions of the Sustainability Index, evaluated only one dimension that is sustainable with a fairly good status. The results obtained from the improvement scenario obtained by the respective percentage figures as follows; Ecology 41.44%, Economics 61.62%, Social and Culture 45.25%, Technology 42.02%, Institutional 61, 29%. Thus the strategy to increase sustainable status can be improved by the Oil Wells Rap-Re-Opening Method.

Abstract

The development of the palm oil industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly, including the increasing number of palm oil processing factories and their liquid waste which has an impact on increasing the amount of greenhouse gases through methane gas. This research was conducted to determine the strategy in utilizing the effluent palm oil mill as a sustainable energy source in the palm oil mill of PT. MSSP of Siak Regency. Utilization of palm oil mill effluent as biogas fuel is carried out using covered lagoon reactor pond technology and serves to reduce the emission value of 1,365.90 tons of CH4 during 2019 and to function in economic efficiency from the use of sustainable energy or biogas for companies by Rp. 8,109,598,450 and socially functioning for employees and the community around PT. MSSP is a positive perception, both in lightening the work of employees and reducing the will in community settlements. The strategy carried out in the utilization of palm oil mill effluent as a sustainable energy source at PT. MSSP aims at good and proper management and application. The strategy was formulated in the SWOT analysis by compiling strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the application of the utilization of palm oil mill effluent as a sustainable energy source.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (SLM) by observing its impacts toward the scientific literacy, characters, and HOTS of Grade VII Junior High School (JHS) students in Pekanbaru within the context of K-13. The survey was conducted with 45 natural science teachers on the basis that they have integrated K-13 into their teaching and learning. The data of SLM implementation was obtained from the teacher by means of questionnaires and observation which was conducted in science classes in three JHS in pollution and global warming topics. The results showed that 49.13% of activities were successfully implemented by SLM. The results showed that students’ scientific literacy in the three schools were 69.5%, 76.3%, and 75.2%. Meanwhile, the character values have reached 80.6%, 76.4%, 72.9%, and students’ HOTS values were 73.0%, 72.5%, and 73.3%. Based on the survey, it can be concluded that although the school has pioneered SLM, the strengthening of scientific literacy, characters, and HOTS has not been executed by all teachers who implement K-13 due to various obstacles need new policies to assess the execution of the SLM program by the local education department.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine changes in the characteristics fisika aspects, chemical and biological propertiesof peat soil as a result of the activities of industrial timber estates at differentages, namely land use HTI age of 3 years, HTIHTI aged 4 years and 5 years of age and strategize Industrial Plantation Forest management. The results showed physical changes due to peatland conversion into Industrial Plantation Forestisan increase in the value of bulk density, particle density, water levels, chemical changes due to peatland conversion into Industrial Plantation Forestisan increase in the pH value and the content of C-organic, biological changes due to peatland conversion into Industrial Plantation Forestisa decrease inthe number of microbes. Results of the analysis strategy SWOTPT. Satria Agung Perkasa is inquadrant 1, with rekomedasi strategy, namely: Increase the commitment of all stakeholders in the management of peatland in accordance with prevailing regulations, Organize and manage the optimal conditions of water management, Invites all parties to be more concerned about the environmental impact monitoring peatland, Campaign on the importance of the role and maintain the condition of peat, and to promote the importance of the role and maintain the condition of peat.

Abstract

Urban development currently tends to improve green open space and increase concrete construction. The Office of Public Works and Coverage reports that the new public open green space announced in 2018 is only 2.52% after increasing from 2017 which was only 1.93%. Pekanbaru City Judicial Team continues to make efforts to curb the peddlers because there are directives for street vendors to no longer be active in the Green City Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is to analyze the evaluation of ecological, social and economic functions and issue recommendations for strategies to optimize the function of the green open space of the central city of Pekanbaru. The analytical method used is descriptive method and completed with a SWOT analysis to formulate a strategy for optimizing the function of public green space in the City Center of Pekanbaru. The recommended strategies based on the results of the SWOT analysis are (1) Addition of vegetation type composition in each public open green space in Pekanbaru City Center, (2) Reduce pavement area (cementation) and increase air infiltration areas by using paving blocks, (3) Optimize green open space facilities not maximally utilized, and (4) Confirmation of street trade policy and trade management of trademarks around Pekanbaru City Public Centers.
