Abstract

Selfie becomes world’s trend conducted by various groups ranging from the children to adults. Selfie can be used as a means to fill spare time and become their own entertainment. In fact, most people can feel calm after taking selfie. Selfie also a means to express themselves, for some people. Many people do selfies and upload them to social media for various reasons, such as a hobby, to get the attention and recognition or appreciation for others in social media who see the selfie. This study was conducted to determine how activities and self-concept that shows the emergence of new lifestyle of universitas riau’s students. This study used a qualitative method. The number of informants were five people. Data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interview and documentation. The conclusion is that taking selfie activity is a new trend of modern lifestyle which can be seen from how informants or perpetrators selfie consumptive of quota usage internet data packets, the purchase of support equipment for selfie, or perpetrator selfie aims at being popular at social media.Keywords: selfie, lifestyle trends, social media, self-concept

Abstract

Adaptation Strategy of Bidikmisi Students, University of Riau in Completing Study Outside of Dependent Period” has been the title of this study. Researchers are keen to discuss this topic because of the importance of education in developing high-quality human resources, but the issue of cost cannot be overlooked. This study's analysis is descriptive quantitative analysis. Related to the variables and levels of Bidikmisi students' adaption techniques at the University of Riau, which were then studied using the theory of coping strategies. In terms of the problem formulation in this study, namely(1) What are the elements that prevent Bidikmisi pupils from finishing college outside of the dependent period? (2) What is Bidikmisi students' adaption plan for finishing college outside of the dependant period?. A questionnaire will be used to gather data in this investigation. The population and samples in this study were 620 people and 86 samples, as defined by the Slovin formula, and the data analysis indicated that the inhibiting factors in terms of Economics were the most significant., Academics and internal pupils were in the top category, and the tactics utilized were both problem-solving tactics and emotional-focused tactics. Keywords: Adaptation Strategy, Bidikmisi Student, Coping Strategy

Abstract

This thesis is submitted in order to qualify holds a Bachelor of Sociology. With the title “social relationship beetween the collector with crafters bricks in RW 27 sail village tenayan raya district pekanbaru”. The issue discussed in the thesis this is social relationship between crafters bricks with a foraging tenayan raya Pekanbaru. respondents from this research is 60 crafters bricks and 3 of the collector, each a collector has about 14 crafters bricks. The samples used in this study is a proportional random sampling. This technique a sampling of each, the population by taking into account the size of sub-sub the population. The method used is the method of research quantitative descriptive because this method more emphasis on aspects of the objective of social phenomena. Instruments screening data used is an observation, a questionnaire, and documents. The use of exchange, the analysis of social relations that occurs according to its cost and reward this is one of the hallmark of the theory of exchange. The results in general, the writer can say that the high level of dependence between crafters bricks with a collector because it is based both have interest. Conflict is intended that artisans brick up in terms of marketing products if over the production of and assintance in meeting the necessities of life be review in terms of lending money to a collector. As a collector benefit from artisans of the production of bricks only in selling him even though the price of the collective agreement but sometimes there is also the price of overidden by a collector, in addiction there are of the loan in given by a compiler to artisans and traders the benefit of lending in giving it to artisans.Keyword : artisans, social realtionship, dependency

Abstract

The problem in this study is about role of institutions on the performance of badminton at Angkasa Badminton Club Pekanbaru. Angkasa Badminton Club is the largest badminton club in Sumatra has been stand for five years. Angkasa Badminton Club has create some good athlete. Angkasa Badminton club has won in regional and national level badminton championship. It is about how the institutions make badminton athlete to reach the achievement. We know all of institutions has different advantage to achieve their own goal. The institutions must give something to make an athlete become a champion, example give the athlete free equipment or scholarship. This is the way to make athlete become more spirit to reach the achievement. All of parents in Angkasa Badminton Club Pekanbaru don’t know about scholarship in there. They only know the club give discount for the equipment that sell in Angkasa Club Pekanbaru. Not only the institutions but all of people in there has responsibility for achievement. Athlete parents must work together with the institutions to reach the achievement. Good institutions must have their own structure organization and rule to achieve the goal. Abstract

Waste occupies an important role in the environmental pollution problem in big cities of the world and also Indonesia. Plastic waste is a kind of anorganic waste that generally can not rot. The purpose of this study were to know about the socio-economic conditions of the Housewife, their knowledge about the plastic waste, and their responses about the plastic waste treatment. The research was using descriptive quantitative method by displaying the results in the form of tables and contains the narrative descriptions. The study was conducted in Perumahan Cipta Lestari RT 03 RW 04 Jl. Cipta Karya, SialangMunggu, Tampan, Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The result of this study showed that most of the socio-economic conditions of respondences are work as a Housewife, their last education are senior high school, have decent house to live at, have enough salary for living expenses, and most of them are moslem. Then the result showed that the respondences have pretty good knowledge about the plastic waste and have high response either.Keyword : Plastic waste, Socio-economic condition, Housewife, Plastic waste treatment

Abstract

This study titled consumption behavior of non-medical use of braces ( the study of non medical users of braces in the sub kuantan mudik kuantan singingi). This study aims to determine the caracteristics of the social, economic, non medical users of braces. There is also an explanation of the background of the consumption behavior of non medical use of braces.To analyze the data descriptive qualitative research conducted is aimed at revealing the facts, phenomena, variables, and the state wich occurs when running and deliver research is in accordance facts on the ground.Socio-economic characteristic of non-medical users of braces that is composed of male gender and woman aged 14 to 28 years who have junior high school, senior high school, graduate or equivalent which is the subject of research work consisted of student, students treaders, salon workers, tailors, and the driver with income up to 280.000 ro Rp. 3.500.000. consumption behavior of non medical use of braces that income and knowledge about the low braces as well the desire to raise the self-image and raise the social status so called beautiful, cool, popular, confident, and raise the social status so called rich and more acceptable in society.Keywords : Consumption Behavior, use, non-medical braces

Abstract

The study authors do in Kodim 0320 dorm in Teluk Binjai village, Dumaicity. This study entitled "Socialization of Children In Family Army (CaseStudy About Family of troubled children in Army Environment) TelukBinjai village, Dumai City". Topics focus of this research are the troubledchildren of the family of Army District Military Command 0320. In thisstudy, researchers used research informants through key informan whereresearcher have understood the initial information about the object ofresearch as well as research informants using simple random sampling.Informants in this study is a troubled child, a total of 5 children and 5families. The author uses qualitative descriptive method and the data wasanalyzed qualitatively. Data instrument is observation, interview anddocumentation. From research by the author, the authors conclude that thefamily is an important role in fostering and developing the character of achild in the family environment and outside environment. Family is veryimportant in child development. The survey results revealed thatrespondents (children) do mischief caused parents are busy with theiractivities due to the demands of the job, also because parents are too givesleeway against children, arises naughtiness that done by children outside thefamily environment.Keywords: family and troubled children

Abstract

This research is in the background by the poverty of traditional fishermen in Bagan Cempedak Village. Traditional fishermen who use only canoes and paddles to search for fish are unable to compete with modern fishermen using motorized boats with sophisticated fishing gear, to meet the needs of traditional fisherman life doing side job which is done by every family member of traditional fisherman. With the formulation of the problem to know the socio-economic condition of traditional imagery at the present time and to know the strategy in the household of traditional fishermen in fulfilling their life needs. The theory used is the economic moral theory of farmer James C.Scott. This research uses descriptive Quantitative research method, where the population and samples taken in homogeneous. The sampling technique is Simple Random Sampling, the researcher gives the same right to each subject to get the chance to be selected as sample, with the number of traditional fisherman 42 respondents. From the results of research in the field that the socio-economic conditions of traditional fishermen in the Village Bagan Cempedak at the present time is very concern low their income due to technological limitations, low education and lack of capital and fishing equipment is very simple to make them have to work harder for their needs of life Fulfilled, and the traditional household fishermen's strategy is to do such as active, passive / reducing strategy and network strategy. Active is to increase or extend working hours, passive / reduces the reduced expenditure when fish miss the fish and do not save when the season is difficult at work, and network strategy is to lend to neighbors relatives or with toke, and owe to as business capital by traditional fishermen So that poverty in their household can be overcome. Then the reason for the fisherman to survive working as a traditional fisherman is due to low education, difficulty finding jobs, and old age who can not work hard.Keywords: Poverty, Traditional Fisherman, Strategy Survive

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the shift in the meaning of Rewang tradition in Tambusai village Rumbio Jaya sub-regency Kampar regency. A few years ago tradition of Rewang in Tambusai village began to experience signs of shift. This research was qualitative method. This research used theory of social change and social action theory of Weber. This research used 7 people as informants consisted of 2 key informnts and 5 informants. With technique of sampling technique purposive sampling. The results of research obtained is a shift of tradition Rewang from the past with Rewang tradition in the present. Where in the past the meaning of the Rewang tradition is to ease the burden of the owner of the party, has a high economic value, and social capital to continue social relations. While the meaning of Rewang current tradition is to increase the burden of the owner of the intent, the materialist value on the Rewang tradition, the diminished intensity of community interaction, the meaning of Rewang for the social status of the owner, the economic meaning in Rewang tradition. As for the factors behind the shifting meaning of Rewang tradition that is the presence of cooking services and packaging change of Kenduri, interest in practicality, the attitude of the teenagers who are less enthusiastic about the Rewangan tradition,the reluctance of the owners to make trouble for the neighbors, and high confidence the chef. The most important factor behind the shift in Rewang tradition is the economic factor.Keywords: Meaning, Rewang Tradition, Javanese

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kenegerian Cengar Village, Kuantan MudikSubdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency with the aim to obtain information aboutthe conflict between Farmer Group and KUD Prima Sehati. The several problemsin this research are (1) How are the forms of conflict between members of FarmerGroup and KUD Prima Sehati? (2) How is the process of resolving the conflictbetween the Farmer Group and the KUD Prima Sehati? The title of this study is": Conflicts Between Farmer Group and KUD Prima Sehati". The researchundertaken aims To find out how the forms and how the process of conflictresolution that occurs between the Farmer Group with KUD Prima Sehati inKenegerian Cengar Village, Kuantan Mudik Subdistrict, Kuantan SingingiRegency. In research, the subject of the study amounted to eight people. Thesubject are those who know how the conflict is going and involved in the conflictdirectly. The data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation.The interviews conducted were in-depth interviews. After doing this research, theforms of conflict that occurred in the village of Kenegerian Cengar KuantanMudik Sub-district Kuantan Singingi Regency are a demonstration, blocking ofroads and mass harvest, burning the field house KUD Prima Sehati, and there aredivisions within the community. The settlement efforts are done by mediating withboth parties and questioning how the management of KUD Prima Sehati for thenext and found the decision by vote caounting that administrators of KUD PrimaSehati must be replaced.Keywords: Conflict, Farmer Group, KUD Prima Sehati Management
