Abstract

Abstract. One important component in supporting children with special needs (ABK) in improving their Activity of Daily Living (ADL) skills is assistive technology. Teachers' skills in designing and modifying assistive technology must be improved so that teachers can use assistive technology according to the needs of ABK.  The purpose of this activity is to equip the principals of SLB Limapuluh Kota Regency in selecting and choosing assistive technology for children with special needs. The activity is packaged in the form of a workshop held in July 2024. The workshop implementation activities will be held in July 2024. The target audience for the service activities of the workshop on selecting assistive technology to improve the ADL skills of children with special needs are school principals throughout the Limapuluh Kota Regency. The problem found is that SLBN teachers in Limapuluh Kota Regency do not yet have the skills to select or sort assistive technology that suits the characteristics of children with special needs. The activity scenario consists of three steps. The first step, the participants are introduced to assistive technology at various levels. Second, participants work independently to conduct needs assessments and create follow-up plans related to the use of assistive technology in their respective schools. And the third step is presenting the results of assistive technology designs for ADL skills. Through this workshop, participants have the skills to conduct needs assessments and create follow-up plans related to assistive technology according to the characteristics of ABK.   Abstrak. Salah satu komponen penting dalam mendukung anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan Activity of Daily Living (ADL) adalah teknologi asistif. Keterampilan guru untuk merancang dan memodifikasi teknologi asistif harus ditingkatkan agar guru-guru bisa menggunakan teknologi asistif sesuai dengan kebutuhan ABK. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk membekali kepala sekolah SLB Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota dalam memilih dan memiliah teknologi asistif bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus. Kegiatan dikemas dalam bentuk workshop yang diselenggarakan pada bulan Juli 2024. Sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian workshop pemilihan dan pemilahan teknologi asistif bagi peningkatan keterampilan activity of daily living (ADL) anak berkebutuhan khusus adalah kepala sekolah se Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Permasalahan yang ditemukan bahwa guru-guru SLBN Se Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota belum memiliki keterampilan dalam  memilih atau memilah teknologi asistif yang sesuai dengan karakteristik anak berkebutuhan khusus. Skenario kegiatan terdiri dari tiga langkah. Langkah pertama peserta dikenalkan dengan teknologi asistif dari beragam level. Tahap kedua peserta bekerja mandiri melakukan need assessment dan membuat rancangan tindak lanjut terkait penggunaan teknologi asistif di sekolah masing-masing. mengumpulkan materi. Disini peserta diberikan waktu untuk mengumpulkan materi yang dibutuhkan berdasarkan kegiatan pelatihan yang diikuti pada pertemuan pertama, sekaligus membuat rancangan teknologi asistif. Dan langkah ketiga menyampaikan simulasi hasil rancangan teknologi asistif bagi keterampilan activity of daily living (ADL). Melalui workshop ini, peserta mempunyai keterampilan untuk melakukan need assessment dan membuat rancangan tindak lanjut terkait teknologi asistif sesuai dengan karakteristik ABK. Berdsarkan hasil penilaian, 80% peserta sudah berhasil mempbuat rancangan kebutuhan Teknonologi ADL dengan baik.

Abstract

The community service promotes tourism potentials in Kabupaten Bener Meriah, particularly the waterfall in Desa Pulo Intan, Dusun Emun Berkune. This service activity inspired ecotourism in two ways: 1). help the community manage and develop the Pulo Intan waterfall eco-tourism area, 2) help people and communities identify assets, monitor, and evaluate waterfall ecotourism development. The Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach—discovery (find), dream (dream), design (design), define (determine), destiny—is used in this service activity. The University Community Engagement (UCE) theory underpins this service by emphasizing community participation in higher education concepts and practice design. The capacity-building theory is in favor of this service. This service includes 1) AI (Appreciative Inquiry) and asset mapping. 2) ABCD method sharing and core team FGD. 3). Sharing ABCD methods with assisted communities. 4). Workshop on improving tourism village marketing, management, and entrepreneurial motivation to strengthen human resources. 5). A productive and sustainable economic empowerment workshop. 6). Focus group discussion (FGD), evaluation, and community service output recommendations. Tourism will grow and progress if it is managed properly and sustainably. To develop the Pulo Intan waterfall eco-tourism area, 1) the regional government of Bener Meriah Regency should develop human resources for the village community. 2). Creating a tourist attraction requires collaboration with many parties, especially the local government.Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mengangkat potensi pariwisata di Kabupaten Bener Meriah, khususnya air terjun di Desa Pulo Intan, Dusun Emun Berkune. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menginspirasi ekowisata dalam dua hal: 1). membantu masyarakat mengelola dan mengembangkan kawasan ekowisata air terjun Pulo Intan, 2) membantu masyarakat dan komunitas mengidentifikasi aset, memantau, dan mengevaluasi pengembangan ekowisata air terjun. Pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD)—menemukan, mengimpikan, merancang, mendefinisikan, takdir—digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini. Teori University Community Engagement (UCE) mendasari kegiatan ini dengan menekankan partisipasi masyarakat dalam konsep dan desain praktik pendidikan tinggi. Didukung dengan teori peningkatan kapasitas, kegiatan ini mencakup 1) AI (Appreciative Inquiry) dan pemetaan aset. 2) Sharing metode ABCD dan FGD tim inti. 3). Berbagi metode ABCD dengan masyarakat binaan. 4). Lokakarya peningkatan pemasaran, pengelolaan, dan motivasi kewirausahaan desa wisata untuk penguatan sumber daya manusia. 5). Lokakarya pemberdayaan ekonomi yang produktif dan berkelanjutan. 6). Focus Group Discussion (FGD), evaluasi, dan rekomendasi keluaran pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pariwisata akan tumbuh dan maju jika dikelola dengan baik dan berkelanjutan. Untuk mengembangkan kawasan ekowisata air terjun Pulo Intan, 1). pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Bener Meriah harus mengembangkan sumber daya manusia bagi masyarakat desa. 2). Membuat suatu objek wisata memerlukan kerjasama dengan banyak pihak terutama pemerintah daerah.

Abstract

This article aims to assess and examine the disobedient attitude of a child in a short story Anak Panah by Harris Effendi Thahar. Researchers are interested in studying this short story Anak Panah by Harris Effendi Thahar because there are relevant social problems that occur in the social reality of society. The theory used in this research is the sociology of literature using the mimetic approach. The method used in the process of providing data in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data collection method in this research includes reading, identifying, recording, and interpreting data with descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques in the form of literature studies. The results of this analysis can reveal the social reality of society. This research was conducted to find out the social criticism contained in the short story Anak Panah by Harris Effendi Thahar in the form of a child's disobedient attitude towards his parents. This research also aims to give appreciation to this short story. Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menilai dan mengkaji mengenai sikap durhaka seorang anak dalam sebuah cerpen Anak Panah karya Harris Effendi Thahar. Peneliti tertarik mengkaji cerpen Anak Panah karya Harris Effendi Thahar ini karena terdapat permasalahan sosial yang relevan terjadi dalam realita sosial masyarakat. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sosiologi sastra dengan menggunakan pendekatan mimetik. Dalam melakukan proses penyediaan data dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data padapada penelitian ini yaitu berupa kegiatan membaca, mengidentifikasi, mencatat, dan menafsirkan data dengan menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif deskriptif berupa studi pustaka. Hasil analisis ini mampu mengungkapkan realitas sosial masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui kritik sosial yang terdapat di dalam cerpen Anak Panah karya Harris Effendi Thahar yaitu berupa sikap durhaka seorang anak pada orang tuanya. Penelitian ini sekaligus bertujuan untuk memberikan apresiasi terhadap cerpen ini.

Abstract

The background of this research is because of processing in evaluation at Junior High School 16 Padang which still used the old method or conventional. This evaluation is still have problem to determine the students ability directly in other word, this method needed the long time for getting students’ score. It this because of teacher must search students’ score manually. Based on the problem above appears the purpouse of this research is to make Computer Based Testing (CBT) product in TI&K Teaching Learning process at eighth grade of Junior High School. This research used Research and Development (R & D) method. Which concist in 10 Steps. Although, these steps is more minimilize to be 5 (five) steps, such as; (a) planning, (b) developing the first product, (c) validation (material and product), (d) hypoteses for determining of practical CBT, and (e) the last result of product, is created a tool to evaluate in learning process. Based on the result of data analysis pointed that CBT product is can be categoriezed to use. To result of part all answers can be categorized to use. And to the practical CBT also can be categorized is good or can be used in learning. From the result of this research can be concluded that CBT product is can be used as a tool in evaluation on learning process.

Abstract

Learning informatics sub-material algorithms and programming in the driving school curriculum has a change from visual programming to textual language in class IX, and in programming learning in class X students will learn the concepts of coding and procedural programming. In learning infomatics is still monotonous because the explanation of the material still uses e-books and books that have been provided by the government about Algorithms and Programming. Therefore, the author is interested in designing interactive multimedia, so that students better understand the learning material that is packaged interactively.This type of research is research and development or what is known as Research and Development (R&D). Based on the results of the material assessment from teachers of informatics subjects of SMA N 2 Padang and media experts lecturers of the Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology of UNP, there is a procurement of validation with the suitability of the material calculated from the average validator of 4.79 with the criteria of "very valid". There are two validators with the criteria of "very appropriate" with the value obtained from validator I of 4.62 and validator II of 4.87. For practicality analysis, it was taken through a questionnaire of responses from class X SMA N 2 Padang students related to the use of multimedia which was calculated to reach an average score of 4.62, so that the results of the practice could be known with the criteria of "very practical".

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak alih fungsi lahan pertanian menjadi industri tambak udang di Desa Sangiang, Kecamatan Wera, Kabupaten Bima, dengan fokus pada aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara dan observasi, serta menganalisis dampak secara mendalam. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa perubahan penggunaan lahan ini memberikan dampak ekonomi yang positif, seperti peningkatan pendapatan rata-rata keluarga petani tambak sebesar 81% dan penciptaan lapangan kerja baru di sektor terkait. Namun, perubahan ini juga mempengaruhi struktur sosial masyarakat, dengan ketegangan antara petani tradisional dan pekerja tambak, serta pengurangan keterlibatan masyarakat lokal akibat ketergantungan pada tenaga kerja luar. Dari segi lingkungan, konversi lahan menyebabkan penurunan kualitas tanah dan pencemaran air, mempengaruhi ekosistem lokal dan kesehatan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menekankan perlunya pendekatan holistik dalam mengelola alih fungsi lahan untuk menyeimbangkan manfaat ekonomi dengan keberlanjutan sosial dan lingkungan. Hasil ini diharapkan memberikan informasi berguna bagi pembuat kebijakan dan masyarakat dalam menghadapi perubahan yang terjadi.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity is one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities that must be carried out by a lecturer. This activity was held thanks to collaboration between the Banjarmasin City Regional Government, the Creative Economy Committee and the Indonesia Creative Cities Network (ICCN) as an organizational forum for creative cities. The implementation method used is a Seminar, Workshop and Tour Guide to Banjaarmasin City tourist attractions. Participants in this activity came from various cities throughout Indonesia which are members of the Creative Cities network and are also creative economy players. It is hoped that this Community Service activity will have a positive impact on the development of the creative economy and also economic growth in the City of Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Becoming an entrepreneur is not a choice for many Indonesians.  Most Indonesians prefer to become a civil servant or private employee as their main priority.  This is inseparable from the mindset and upbringing of most Indonesians who see that an employee has no risks, whereas entrepreneurship is full of risks and financial uncertainty.  Very few people dare to take the risk of becoming an entrepreneur because there is no certainty of income and business success.  In the midst of increasingly difficult competition to obtain employee status, the way out is to become an entrepreneur.  To become an entrepreneur, the government and the world of education are trying to educate their students with various business knowledge so that they become entrepreneurs after graduating.  This activity is a form of Community Service that must be carried out by lecturers in fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Teaching, Service and Research.  The methods used in this service are presentations, discussions, competitions and activity evaluation. It is hoped that the results of this activity will stimulate students' desire to become entrepreneurs when they graduate

Abstract

This research aims to determine and test students' interest in entrepreneurship after learning about Introduction to Business, Entrepreneurship and Business Feasibility Studies at college. Data were collected using a questionnaire using Google Form which was distributed via the WhatsUp Group belonging to the research lecturer and used a descriptive quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods, T Test and F Test (SPSS). The population was taken from a number of WhatUp Groups owned by research lecturers from students from various universities. The sample obtained was 122 students from universities in Banjarmasin and Timika Papua. The research results show that learning Introduction to Business and Business Feasibility Studies partially has a significant and positive effect on students' interest in becoming independent entrepreneurs, while the Entrepreneurship variable has no significant effect. Simultaneous test results show that the variables Introduction to Business, Entrepreneurship and Business Feasibility Study have a significant and positive effect on students' interest in becoming independent entrepreneurs. The results of this research can be used as a reference for further research and government policy making in the fields of education and entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The introduction of New Student Admission Patterns (PMB) through Past Learning (RPL) is an innovative approach in the higher education system to improve the quality of student admissions. RPL recognizes the experience and knowledge gained from non-formal and informal education, thereby providing opportunities for individuals with diverse backgrounds to continue their studies. This activity was carried out by the Socialization Team of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Indragiri Islamic University (UNISI). The socialization was carried out at PP Nur Darissalam, Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The methods used are presentations, interactive discussions, and question and answer sessions. This service aims to analyze the effectiveness of RPL in the PMB process, as well as its impact on student academic success. The methods used include socialization and analysis of student admissions data. The results show that implementing RPL can increase the accessibility of higher education and encourage diversity among new students. In addition, RPL contributes to the development of students' soft skills and learning readiness. This research provides recommendations for educational institutions in optimizing student admissions through RPL so that they can create an inclusive and competitive learning environment.
