Abstract

The jastip (personal shopper) business has become a popular trend in Indonesia in recent years. In the context of trade and consumption, jastip refers to a service where someone (jastip provider or personal shopper) offers to buy goods from a particular place or store at the request of another person (consumer). In return, the jastip provider will usually charge a service fee or commission on top of the price of the goods purchased. The research in this article aims to examine the factors that influence Purchase Intention on jastip, especially in generation Z, using the variables Brand Image, Service Quality, Social Media Quality, and Price Perception mediated by Trust. The study uses primary data that has been processed through the distribution of questionnaires in the form of Google Forms to the Batam City Community who have used jastip. A total of 311 respondent data that meet the criteria and are then processed using the SPSS program for respondent demographic data analysis and the SmartPLS program for hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that Brand Image, Service Quality, Social Media Quality, and Price Perception have a significant positive effect on Purchase Intention through Trust mediation. This study shows the importance of Trust as a mediator that connects all variables in influencing Purchase Intention towards Jastip among Generation Z in Batam City.

Abstract

Disclosure of ESG from companies around the world has experienced a drastic increase, this phenomenon is also accompanied by an increase in socially responsible investment. This study investigates the moderating role of gender diversity in the relationship between the individual dimensions of ESG (environmental disclosure, social disclosure, and governance disclosure) and the company’s performance (Tobin's Q) in IDX companies. The research design is causal-explanatory. Based on the theory of previous findings, hypotheses were developed and tested by applying panel data regression to 42 IDX companies in the period of 2017 to 2021. The results found that disclosure of governance had a significant negative effect on company performance as measured by Tobin's Q. Moderation of gender diversity plays a role in weakening the relationship between governance disclosure with company performance. Several managerial implications are proposed based on this research. Managers may consider other ways to address stakeholder concerns about environmental and social performance. Indonesian policymakers can authorize regulations regarding ESG disclosure requirements to boost firm performance and lead to economic stability.

Abstract

Dalam dunia bisnis baik itu perusahaan atau UMKM, tidak terlepas dari sistem manajemen keuangan. Bisnis dengan manajemen keuangan yang baik akan lebih teratur dalam kegiatan operasionalnya dan membantu dalam mengembangkan bisnis menjadi lebih baik. Obyek yang dipilih untuk kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dalam artikel ini adalah sebuah UMKM yang bergerak dibidang kuliner berdomisili Batam yang bernama Café Abang. Melalui wawancara dan observasi yang dilakukan, diketahui manajemen keuangan Café Abang masih sangat minim dimana pencatatan transaksi penjualan atau pembelian masih berupa tulis manual. Hasil dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat adalah Café Abang mendapatkan sistem keuangan yang dibuat dengan aplikasi Microsoft Word dimana dapat membantu pemilik merekap transaksi serta menyediakan laporan-laporan pendukung seperti buku besar, neraca saldo, laba rugi, dan lainnya.

Abstract

Sebagai bagian dari sistem keuangan nasional, perbankan syariah memainkan peran yang signifikan dalam aktivitas ekonomi. Baik perbankan konvensional maupun syariah memengaruhi ekonomi Indonesia. Ada perbedaan antara keduanya berdasarkan prinsip yang mendasari transaksi keuangan. Dengan mengumpulkan dana dari masyarakat dan memberikan mereka melalui pembiayaan atau kredit, perbankan syariah bertindak sebagai intermediasi. Pembiayaan mudah, musyarakah, murabahah, ijarah, dan lain-lain adalah beberapa jenis produk yang ditawarkan oleh pembiayaan bank syariah. Dalam penelitian ini, variabel dependen adalah rasio ROA, yang merupakan ukuran kinerja BUS. Di antara variabel independen yang diteliti, NPF (Non-Performing Financial) menunjukkan risiko kredit; NIM (Net Interest Margin) menunjukkan risiko kredit; ALR (Actual Liquidity Ratio) menunjukkan rasio kredit; GDP (Gross Domestic Product) menunjukkan makroekonomi; dan inflasi menunjukkan makroekonomi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah semua bank umum syariah Indonesia yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dan memiliki total 9 BUS. Data panel digunakan dari tahun 2018 hingga 2022.

Abstract

Investment is one of the activities that influences the growth of the Indonesian economy. Investment not only helps in economic development in Indonesia but also helps companies optimize their growth and provide a good response to investors. Investors have the main goal, namely achieving high returns or stock returns. However, high returns can also carry high risks, because shares have no certainty that they will rise or fall quickly and suddenly. Sudden changes in stock prices play an important role in determining stock prices and returns which can rise or fall very sharply so that they can create uncertainty for investors in making decisions to invest in a stock. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of PBV, ROE, NPM, EPS, DER, COVID on stock returns. To find out what factors cause what, this research uses a comparative causal research strategy. Companies in the Financial sector (consisting of 106 shares) which are included in the Composite Stock Price Index (also called IHSG) are the focus of this research. Data is taken from the application (Stockbit), in obtaining financial data. that researchers will use (idx.co.id). PBV has a positive effect on stock returns. Meanwhile, ROE, NPM, EPS, DER, COVID have no effect on stock returns

Abstract

Purpose – This study intends to scrutinize the relationship between oil and gold prices on Indonesia’s Islamic stock market before and during the war between Russia and Ukraine, and compare the nature of sharia and conventional stock during the period of study.Methodology – This study uses daily price data of oil price, gold, Islamic index, and LQ45 index. The period spans from 2020 to 2022, which is split into two sub-periods: pre-war and during the war period. Structural vector autoregression (SVAR) was used for data analysis.Findings – This study provided three main findings. First, the Islamic index was found to be more exogenous than conventional stock, implying the safe haven properties of Islamic stock. Second, oil prices have a negative and significant impact on both conventional and Islamic stocks. However, Islamic stocks are less affected by oil price shocks than conventional stocks. Lastly, Gold is a safe haven asset for both Islamic and conventional stocks.Implications – This study is expected to be beneficial for Islamic investors making investment decisions, particularly in the war period, which is still ongoing and more specific for taking advantage of diversification opportunities.Originality – Despite a huge number of studies that investigate the Islamic stock – oil price nexus, this study uncovers the impact of the most recent geopolitical tension during the Russia-Ukraine War.

Abstract

In the current era of digitalization and globalization, the role of managers is growing in managing the increasing information technology risks in modern banking. In addition, managers also play an important role in internal and external communication. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the role of managers in improving company performance is multifaceted by adopting a qualitative descriptive method. Through a qualitative descriptive methodological approach based on literature review, content analysis, triangulation, and synthesis, the researcher was able to extract relevant information from the literature, organize the findings in a coherent framework, and provide meaningful interpretations for the academic community and business practitioners. The results of the research reveal that the role of managers in improving company performance is very significant. Abstract

Kimia Farma is a company engaged in pharmaceutical health in Indonesia with subsidiaries PT Kimia Farma Apotek, PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika, PT Kimia Farma Plant, and PT Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution. Initially, in 1817, Kimia Farma company was named NV Chemicalien Handle Rathkamp & Co.. This company provides decision-making support tools as well as multi-currency and multilingual system support tools that are useful for supporting the progress of the company on an international scale. The type of research that is conducted to analyze this company is by using descriptive research. Descriptive research is a research conducted by providing a description of an event that is currently happening by giving a detailed explanation. The scope of the ERP implementation done by Kimia Farma includes license acquisition, hardware/servicer acquisition, ERP implementation service acquisition, and managed service acquisition. By increasing the services provided and adding more facilities, customers who visit or seek for treatments at Kimia Farma could get maximum service and feel more comfortable.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors influencing the intention to purchase electric vehicles (EVs) following the implementation of financial incentives. It integrates the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), the Technological Acceptance Model (TAM), and extensions of TPB, including consumer knowledge, perceived risk, and financial incentives. Data were collected from 384 respondents, comprising both EV users and non-users in Batam City. The findings reveal that attitude has an insignificant effect on the intention to buy EVs, while perceived usefulness also shows an insignificant effect on attitude. In contrast, consumer knowledge and financial incentives significantly influence both attitude and purchase intention. Perceived risk negatively affects attitude and intention to buy EVs. The study highlights the need for policies providing financial incentives to consider long-term benefits for consumers to ensure sustainable adoption of EVs.

Abstract

Over the course of time, the enterprise as a social institution, not only plays a role in promoting economic development, but also has a certain negative impact on the ecological environment and has an indispensable responsibility for the sustainable development of resources and the environment. If an enterprise fulfills its social responsibilities, and through technological innovation, it can not only reduce energy consumption, but also save resources, reduce enterprise production costs, and thereby enhance enterprise competitiveness. Moreover, the global challenges from COVID-19 directly impacted 82.9% of small, medium, and micro businesses. Therefore, this study will examine the impact of Sustainability Performance to increase product competitiveness. by using 3 aspects that influence Sustainability Performance, namely Green Human Capital, Green Structural Capital, and Green Relational Capital.
