Abstract

In medical emergencies, healthcare workers play a vital role in controlling infectious diseases, despite facing serious social, legal, and occupational health risks. During such situations, they often cope with extreme stress, social isolation, and potential legal claims arising from the care they provide. Therefore, ensuring legal protection for healthcare providers is a fundamental element in maintaining the continuity of high-quality and balanced health services. The purpose of this paper is to examine the forms of legal protection for medical workers in managing infectious disease outbreaks as regulated under the Health Quarantine Law. This study, entitled Legal Protection for Healthcare Workers in the Management of Infectious Diseases Under Health Laws and Regulations, highlights the framework of rights and obligations for healthcare personnel, as well as the state’s responsibility in providing legal safeguards during quarantine-related interventions. The research adopts a normative legal research design, applying both statutory and conceptual approaches. Data were collected from primary legal sources, such as relevant health quarantine regulations and legislation governing medical personnel, as well as secondary sources including academic literature, scholarly journals, and expert commentaries, along with tertiary sources for supplementary context. The analysis was conducted qualitatively to provide a comprehensive understanding of how legal instruments protect healthcare workers during infectious disease outbreaks.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the legal protection provided to whistleblowers who know about narcotics abuse crimes in Indonesia, in accordance with the provisions of the Witness and Victim Protection Law. The method used is a normative juridical approach by analyzing related legal materials, including legislation and legal literature. The results of the study indicate that legal protection for whistleblowers is very important to encourage the public's courage in reporting narcotics crimes. This protection includes confidentiality of the reporter's identity, physical security, and legal protection from retaliation. The obstacles faced are still non-compliance by officials in implementing optimal protection procedures. It is recommended that law enforcement be more serious in providing protection and socializing the rights of whistleblowers so that their data remains safe and secure

Abstract

The drying of batik songkok raw materials in Rek Kerrek Village, Pamekasan Regency, is done by relying on sunlight. The time required is 3 days. When the weather is cloudy and rainy, the drying time is longer, namely 1 week and the batik color is dull. The batik process is still conventional with canting which is hand-drawn and motifs that rely on ancestral heritage. The process of batik with manual canting takes 2-3 days to 1 month per sheet. The problems faced are the long time for processing and drying batik so that production capacity, expensive batik prices and the competitiveness of batik products are still low. The objective of the PDB program is to provide technological innovations in the form of an infrared dry room drying machine to speed up the drying time of batik and an innovation in canting caps to speed up the batik processing time. This innovation increases production capacity, sales volume, and the competitiveness of batik products. The methods used are training, mentoring and practice of technological innovations for partners. The results of the program are: 1) the infrared dry room drying machine (partner-1) and the innovation in canting caps (partner-2) increase production capacity and quality, sales volume and the competitiveness of batik products. The infrared dry room dryer speeds up drying time to approximately 90 minutes. The batik process using a canting cap simplifies the process and reduces the completion time to 3 hours.

Abstract

Increased urban mobility requires the management of road intersections that is not only technically effective but also has a clear legal basis. The Gunggung, Jalan Raya Langsep, Jalan Dieng, and Jalan Terusan Dieng intersections in Malang City are strategic areas that require a feasibility study on alternative measures to improve intersection functionality. However, traffic management and engineering regulations still leave ambiguities in the norms, particularly regarding the legal basis, feasibility criteria, and the authority of local governments to determine improvements or changes to intersection functions. This study aims to analyze the impact of such regulatory ambiguity on legal certainty in urban traffic engineering policy-making. The method used is normative legal research with a regulatory and conceptual approach. The results of the study indicate that existing regulations have established general objectives for traffic management but have not provided operational, measurable, and binding indicators for determining the feasibility of upgrading intersection functions. In conclusion, it is necessary to strengthen regulations regarding feasibility parameters, assessment procedures, and the division of local government authority so that policies on upgrading intersection functions possess legitimacy, accountability, and legal certainty.   Keywords: regulatory ambiguity, traffic engineering, feasibility studies, intersection improvement, local government.
