Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the key factors driving international students to choose China as a study destination. The rapid increase in the number of international students in China in recent years indicates that the country holds strong appeal, academically, economically, and culturally. This research adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, examines leadership and management strategies in Chinese higher education institutions (HEIs) to attract international students, focusing on key frameworks, policies, and practices. Using a systematic search methodology, eight empirical articles from reputable journals were analyzed to identify recurring themes and insights. Key findings reveal that Chinese HEIs leverage centralized, top-down management approaches to implement large-scale internationalization strategies while integrating service-oriented practices to enhance student experiences. Factors such as cultural diplomacy, reputation building, and the provision of scholarships and high-quality academic programs emerge as critical in attracting international students. This review also identifies challenges, including the need to balance academic quality and rapid enrollment growth, address cultural integration, and adapt to diverse student expectations. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of how leadership and management strategies shape the internationalization of Chinese higher education and provide insights for future research, including the role of technology and comparative studies across regions. This study serves as a valuable resource for policymakers and institutional leaders seeking to enhance global engagement and competitiveness in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of corporate risk preferences on company value and stock prices by reviewing existing literature. Company value and stock prices are important indicators of a company's financial health, influenced by various internal and external factors, including the company's approach to risk. Corporate risk preferences refer to the company's strategies and decisions in dealing with uncertainty and potential losses, which are reflected in its investment choices, capital structure, and financing policies. The literature suggests that companies with higher risk preferences tend to make more aggressive investments, which can boost growth but also increase stock price volatility. In contrast, companies with lower risk preferences prioritize stability and conservatism, leading to more consistent valuations. Understanding the relationship between corporate risk preferences, company value, and stock prices is crucial for providing valuable insights to investors, managers, and other stakeholders in making informed financial decisions.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system to optimize photovoltaic (PV) system performance and ensure uninterrupted power supply for critical medical equipment, specifically ventilators and monitors, in the ICU room of RSI Siti Khadijah Palembang. Methodology/approach: This current study used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology to investigate related literature published between 2010 and 2024, identifying relevant publications through research in academic databases such as Dimensions AI. Results/findings: The results showed that TL, JS, and OC positively influence OCB, which in turn enhances SLB. Nevertheless, this study also revealed deficiencies in earlier studies, particularly concerning the function of OCB as a mediator. Conclusion: This study indicates that TL, JS, and OC can positively affect OCB, which then exerts a favorable influence on KSB. Limitations: The availability of research in specific circumstances presents a limitation to the study. Contribution: This study significantly enhances the understanding of how Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) mediates the relationship between Transformational Leadership (TL), Job Satisfaction (JS), and Organizational Commitment (OC) concerning Knowledge Sharing Behavior (KSB), while also creating opportunities for the development of a more comprehensive model.

Abstract

Employee engagement has emerged as a critical determinant of organizational performance, yet its relationship with training and development remains fragmented across literature. This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA framework to synthesize evidence from the past decade (2015–2025). A structured search of the Scopus database yielded 137 documents, which were narrowed to 88 after applying filters and further screened to a final sample of 10 highly relevant peer-reviewed articles. The findings confirm that training and development initiatives directly foster engagement by signaling organizational support and enhancing employee competencies. Engagement often acts as a mediating mechanism linking training to outcomes such as performance, commitment, and retention, while factors such as leadership quality, digital transformation, and cultural context moderate these effects. The synthesis also underscores that the training–engagement nexus is strongest when development initiatives align with national priorities and socio-cultural expectations. This review contributes to the HRD literature by consolidating fragmented evidence and integrating theoretical perspectives, including social exchange theory, the Job Demands-Resources model, and institutional theory. Practical implications suggest that organizations must treat training as a strategic lever, embedding digital tools and contextual sensitivity to cultivate sustainable employee engagement.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the development of tourist villages in Bogor Regency in a comprehensive and integrated manner. The research data are in the form of articles related to the development of tourist areas. From the keyword search, 380 articles were obtained related to social participation in the development of tourist areas in Indonesia. The analysis of the research data used the systematic literature review (SLR) method. This study shows that tourist villages in Indonesia describe the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in reducing poverty, maintaining a sustainable environment and increasing income. By adapting strategies such as those implemented in Nglanggeran Village in Yogyakarta, Bogor Regency is likely to develop into a sustainable tourist village. Villages in Bogor Regency such as Sukajadi Village, Tugu Utara, and other surrounding villages are very attractive in terms of nature and culture. This also shows that tourism in these villages combines nature with the culture of the community. Through the distribution of agricultural crops, geological conditions and cultural tourism, they have the opportunity to improve the livelihoods of their own villagers, create new jobs and produce a better lifestyle for the surrounding population.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan desa wisata di Kabupaten Bogor secara komprehensif dan terpadu. Data penelitian berupa artikel-artikel terkait dengan pengembangan kawasan wisata. Dari pencarian kata kunci diperoleh 380 artikel terkait partisipasi sosial dalam pengembangan kawasan pariwisata di Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to identify the synergy between competence and leadership in improving employee commitment, motivation, and performance for organizational development. The methodology used in this study is meta-analysis with a focus on quality data from international journals indexed by Scopus. The tools used include VOSviewer software for article review and WordStat for descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study show that competence and leadership have an important role in improving employee commitment, motivation, and performance. This study reveals that improvements in both variables can overcome various obstacles in organizational development. Effective leadership and strong competencies are able to increase employee commitment, develop creative abilities, provide leadership training, and motivate employees through the right organizational strategy. This research has several important implications. First, organizations that want to improve employee performance must focus on strengthening leadership and developing competencies. Good management of intervening variables will help in designing more effective strategies, which in turn will improve the overall performance of the organization. Second, the results of the study show that organizations not only need to rely on leadership and competence alone, but also must consider the context and conditions of other variables that can affect the final result. A more comprehensive and holistic approach is needed to face the challenges and dynamic changes in organizational development. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that organizations implement training and development programs that focus on improving competence and leadership.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study aimed to analyze the organizational capabilities of the Jasinga District, Bogor Regency, in fostering the administration of village government with a broader scope of tasks and extensive budget management. The method is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and literature studies. The analytical knife used is the concept of organizational capability put forward by Neo and Chan. The study's results stated that there were obstacles in the aspects of able people and agile processes, including limited staff, barriers to competency development, team member recruitment that could have used the merit system, substandard educational qualifications, and limited resources. This condition results in flawed thinking ahead, thinking again, and thinking across, which must be developed within the organization. The recommendations proposed are improving able people and agile processes by increasing educational qualifications, competency development programs, and merit system-based recruitment. Districts must also apply thinking ahead, thinking again, and thinking across in building dynamic organizational capabilities. Meanwhile, in the context of optimizing the development of village government administration, it is necessary to develop competence in the field of village administration for sub-district officials.
