Abstract

Abstract: The existence of pay later proves to be helping many people including college students, however there are several problems related with the usage from college students. There are 3 main determinants of pay later service which are transaction benefit, transformational advertising and discount. The research aims to gain more comprehensive understanding in which these determinants from the pay later service affecting the lifestyle of college students that utilize Gopay as part of pay later service. This study uses a quantitative method and multiple linear regression analysis as a tool to analyze the data that has been collected. The findings of this study show that transaction benefit and discount affect student’s lifestyle significantly, while transformational advertising does not significantly affect the lifestyle. Based on the result, the researcher provided several recommendations which are: adding more benefit regarding transaction for the business improvement in the future, improvement of advertisement which co-exist with the users in order to increase the number of users, and lastly improvement of discount implementation within pay later service for the betterment of the company that run pay later service. Keywords: pay later service, transaction benefit, transformational advertising, discount, lifestyle

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is the level of a person's feelings after comparing the benefits of the product that customers feel with their expectations. To create customer satisfaction, a company must be able to meet the needs and desires of customers related to the product, services, and purchases.  Perception of customer orientation and quality of service to customers are important for creating customer satisfaction. Customer orientation is a business culture where the organization is committed to be creative in creating superior value for customers sustainably, while the quality of service will help customers solve their problems in meeting their needs and expectations for the products needed. This study aims to determine (1) whether customer orientation has a significant effect on customer satisfaction, (2) whether service quality has a significant effect on customer satisfaction, and (3) whether customer orientation and service quality together have a significant effect on customer satisfaction at Matahari Department Store in Manado Town Square. Keywords: customer orientation, perception, service quality, customer satisfaction

Abstract

Food and Beverage industry right now hold the biggest share within SMEs sectors including in Manado; Food and Beverage industry as a whole is always evolving because of the trends within this industry. In the current situation; these businesses need to compete in an unprecedented condition. Not only they need to compete with each other but they also need to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic that already spread all across the world; it includes Indonesia and moreover Manado in this particular case. The purpose of this study is to find out the determinants that affect the survival of SMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative method and multiple linear regression as the tool of the research. The findings of this study show that the independent variables which are Business Resilience and Financial Technology simultaneously and independently affect the Survival of SMEs in Manado during COVID-19 Pandemic. From the results; there are several solutions offered for the problem such as Business incubator and the utilization of financial technology such as internet platform and e-commerce from leading company can act as one of the primary ways for the business to survive. Keywords: business resilience, financial technology, covid-19, survival of SMEs

Abstract

Abstract: Every company or organization needs to make sure that every aspect inside the organization is working efficiently and effectively. One of the most determining factors to a success of an organization is the Human Resource Department. That is why it is required for a company to have qualified a good human capital. Qualified human resource is related with career development of the employees inside the organization. Career development can affect the overall organizational performance. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors affecting career development of employees in PT. Bank SulutGO Manado. This study uses quantitative method using questionnaire to obtain data and use purposive sampling as sampling technique with 80 employees of PT. Bank SulutGO as respondents. This study uses factor analysis as an analysis tool. The result indicates that there are 6 new factors formed that affecting the career development, namely: Self-Evaluation, Behavior & Experience, Personal Ability, Superior Influence, Organizational Policy, and Achievements. Based on the result of the study, the recommendation to the company PT. Bank SulutGO including the employees is to really consider about these factors to create efficiency and effectiveness in the organizational process in order to achieve the goals. Keywords: career development, human resource

Abstract

Profitabilitas adalah kemampuan perusahaan dalam menghasilkan laba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh Pertumbuhan Perusahaan, Kebijakan Dividen dan Struktur Modal Terhadap Profitabilitas Perusahaan Perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu industri perbankan yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2014-2017. Metode pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling sesuai kriteria yang ditentukan. Jumlah sampel yang didapat sebanyak 8 perusahaan.  Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan menunjukkan bahwa Pertumbuhan Perusahaan tidak  berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Profitabilitas, Kebijakan Dividen tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Profitabilitas, Struktur Modal berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Secara simultan, Pertumbuhan Perusahaan , Kebijakan Dividen dan Struktur Modal berpengaruh terhadap Profitabilitas. Perusahaan maupun manajer diharapkan agar mampu memperhatikan keputusan-keputusan penting agar dapat menjadi acuan untuk menentukan strategi perusahaan dalam menghasilkan profitabilitas.Kata Kunci: Pertumbuhan Perusahaan, Kebijakan Dividen, Struktur Modal, Profitabilitas

Abstract

Abstract: Gamification is the application of game features, mainly video game elements, into non-game context for the purpose of promoting motivation and engagement in non-gaming situation. With gamification, game creators and game developers can shape user behaviour of gamers that they become addicted. This study investigates gamification and user behaviour on PUBG mobile game (PUBG gamers) in Manado. The research method is qualitative analysis with interview technique. The sample size is 15 respondent using purposive sampling technique. The results show that most gamers are between 16-32 years old because almost all the games have a high level of difficulty which is so challenging and hard indeed for people below 16 and above 32 years old and PUBG game has various techniques of gamification that influence how the gamers want to keep playing. Abstract

Abstract: City branding is not only the main identity of a city, but also serves as an eye-catching advertisement to attract the tourists. Unfortunately, there was a city that created their own city branding without considering their own characteristics. For example, Tomohon city. At this moment, Tomohon is well known as a city of flowers, city of tourism, city of education, and religious city. Tomohon does not have a specific branding that can reflect the potential and values, and that can represents the expectations of the inhabitants. The purpose of this study is to explore city branding of Tomohon. The operational definitions of this research are people, place, pulse, potential, presence, and prerequisite. This research used qualitative methodology by using interview method. This research took 15 representative respondents of governments, students, entrepreneurs, religionists, cultural observers, visitors, and academicians of Tomohon city. The findings of this research show that Tomohon was a friendly city, both for human or nature, which has rapid development in the fields of education and technology, and has strong potential to become an ecotourism city. Abstract

Return saham yang berlaku di bursa efek adalah suatu harga yang selalu mengalami fluktuasi atau berubah-ubah sewaktu waktu bisa naik maupun turun. Hal ini disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi return saham tersebut. Faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi return saham dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal adalah faktor-faktor yang berasal dari dalam perusahaan dan dapat dikendalikan oleh manajemen perusahaan. Sedangkan faktor eksternal merupakan faktor-faktor yang berasal dari luar perusahaan dan tidak dapat dikendalikan oleh manajemen perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh Current Ratio (CR), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER) dan Return On Equity (ROE) terhadap Return Saham pada perusahaan Telekomunikasi. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Regresi Linier Berganda. Hasil Penelitian menyatakan secara simultan CR, DER dan ROE tidak berpengaruh terhadap Return Saham, secara parsial CR dan DER berpengaruh terhadap Return Saham dan ROE tidak berpengaruh terhadap Return Saham. Untuk Perusahaan-perusahaan telekomunikasi agar lebih meningkatkan tingkat laba yang diterima, sehingga akan menarik lebih banyak investor ke perusahaan guna meningkatkan return saham yang akan di terima oleh perusahaan.Kata Kunci: Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Return On Equity, Return Saham

Abstract

Bank merupakan bagian penting bagi perekonomian suatu negara. Bank merupakan sumber pembiayaan bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Dana Pihak Ketiga, Capital Adequacy Ratio, Non Performing Loan, dan Loan to Deposit Ratio terhadap Penyaluran Kredit. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh bank umum yang tercatat di Otoritas Jasa Keuangan Indonesia dengan periode penelitian 2011-2018. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling dan diperoleh 80 bank yang digunakan sebagai sampel. Metode analisis data menggunakan Analisis Regresi Data Panel dengan pendekatan Fixed Effect Model. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data secara parsial variabel Dana Pihak Ketiga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah penyaluran kredit dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,891257 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,00. Capital Adequacy Ratio tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah penyaluran kredit dengan nilai koefisien sebesar -4926,305 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,8029. Non Performing Loan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah penyaluran kredit dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 175202,6 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,1297. Loan to Deposit Ratio berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah penyaluran kredit dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 111333,7 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,00. Hasil dari uji F diperoleh nilai F-Statistic sebesar 826,6958 dengan nilai signfikansi 0,00. Hasil Koefisien determinasi diperoleh nilai Adjusted R Squared sebesar 0,990762 atau 99,08%, sedangkan sisanya 0,92% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam model. Kata Kunci: Dana Pihak Ketiga, Capital Adequacy Ratio, Non Performing Loan

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to see the comparison of financial performance based on capital structure at consumer goods industry that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2015-2018. The sampling method by using purposive sampling with certain criteria. The population in this research are fifty four companies and the sample used are twenty six consumer goods companies. Data analysis method that used in this research is Independent sample T-Test. The result of this research simultaneously showed that there were no significant differences financial performance between high leverage companies and low leverage companies. Meanwhile, partially showed that there were significant differences between high leverage and low leverage companies viewed by Current Ratio. While, Return on Asset, Return on Equity, Net Profit Margin, Total Asset Turnover, Earning Per Share has no significant differences between high leverage and low leverage companies. Companies should make performance improvements in order to get more optima results. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbandingan kinerja keuangan berdasarkan struktur modal pada industri barang konsumsi di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2015-2018. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan kriteria tertentu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 54 perusahaan dan Sampel yang digunakan adalah 26 perusahaan industri barang konsumsi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian uji beda secara simultan menyatakan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan kinerja keuangan yang signifikan antara perusahaan high leverage dan low leverage. Sedangkan secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kinerja keuangan yang signifikan antara perusahaan high leverage dan low leverage jika dilihat dari Current Ratio. Sedangkan Return on Asset, Return on Equity, Net Profit Margin, Total Asset Turnover, Earning Per Share menyatakan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara perusahaan high leverage dan low leverage. Perusahaan sebaiknya melakukan peningkatan kinerja agar mendapatkan hasil yang lebih optimal. Keywords: financial performance, leverage, t test
