Abstract

So far, there has been little research related to the impact of globalization on corporate governance,particularly the internationalization of the board of directors of international orglobal companies. Besides that, there has been little attention to the nationality compositionof top management. In connection with such a condition, this study attempts to investigatehow the Nationality Diversity in Top Management Team (TMT) affects Company Performancein big countries in Europe versus small countries in Europe. The research data weremanagement boards of companies in 111 companies: 30 in Germany, 38 in France, 25 in theNetherlands, and 18 in Belgium. The whole dataset was provided by Van Veen and Marsman(2008) and derived from this study on nationality diversity. The study provides several results.First, there is a positive relationship between the nationality diversity of TMT membersand company performance. Second, the size of the companies depends on the size of thecountry; companies in the big countries have more employees than those in the small countries.Third, the result of company performance in the big countries and the small countries isnot significant, so the performance of the companies in the big countries is not better thanthat of the companies in the small countries.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia didalam ruang lingkup organisasi sangatlah berperan penting dikarenakan menjadi sumber ide dan inovasi yang mendorong organisasi untuk terus berkembang dan beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan yang dinamis. Setiap individu membawa keahlian, pengalaman, dan sudut pandang yang berbeda sehingga jika keberagaman ini dikelola dengan baik mampu memperkuat daya saing dan produktivitas organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional, kerjasama tim dan kepuasan kerja terhadap organizational citizenship behavior (ocb) pada PT. Jasa Raharja Cabang Sulawesi Utara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 32 orang responden yaitu seluruh pegawai tetap di PT. Jasa Raharja Cabang Sulawesi Utara. Alat analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan SPSS versi 27 yang digunakan untuk menganalisis variabel independen dan variabel dependen. Teknik Pengumpulan Data dengan cara pembagian kuisioner, google form, dan perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional, kerjasama tim dan kepuasan kerja secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap ocb. Kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap ocb. Kerjasama Tim berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap ocb. Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap ocb.

Abstract

Based on ”upper echelons theory”, this paper investigates the relation between top management team composition and BPD performance. For top management team characteristics, we employ age, level of education, background of education, gender, and functional background, while for measured the BPD performance we employ return on asset (ROA), return on equity (ROE), capital adequacy ratio (CAR), net interest margin (NIM), loan to deposit ratio (LDR), non-performing loan (NPL) and operation expenses to operation income (BOPO). The results show that all characteristics have positive significant influences on BPD performance.

Abstract

Top management team composition is a big issue in international business and management research. In Indonesian context, especially for mining companies, the issue has only limited academic resource. Since most studies in this area conducted in the United States and Europe, the studies are reflecting the culture of the underlying US and Europe population. This research using a sample from 18 Indonesian Mining Companies with 174 top executives from those companies. This study utilizes a deductive method of research as a methodological approach. Each hypothesis analyzes the influence of the composition of the Top Management Team (Independent Variable) on company performance (Dependent Variable), with the relationship made by creating a direct hypothesis of Top Management Team with the value of the return of assets (ROA) and return of equity (ROE) of each company.

Abstract

This article is a conceptual and typological framework that delineates the subsidiary role and its influence on the MNC strategy. The purpose of this study is two fold. First we want to formulate proposition for testing the relationship between the network embeddedness, resource dependence and subsidiary influence on the corporate strategy. Secondly we want to suggest a typology for determination of the specific characteristics of subsidiaries that are simply implementors of HQ assigned strategy, have a global subsidiary mandates or are somewhere in between. Finally the article suggests direction for future research.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a broad impact not only on human health but also on the global economy, causing various sectors to face significant challenges, including the banking sector. This study aims to analyze the differences in financial performance before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in Regional Development Banks (BPD) throughout Indonesia for the 2018–2023 period, using financial ratios such as Return on Assets (ROA), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Net Interest Margin (NIM). This research applies a comparative approach with a quantitative method. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, and data were analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital payment systems has transformed financial transactions globally, with the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) serving as a key initiative by Bank Indonesia to unify payment methods across providers. This study analyzes the role of perceived usefulness, security, and social factors on the intention to use QRIS among 148 GenBI Sulut members. Using a quantitative approach, the data were collected via a structured questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26, following validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. Results show that perceived usefulness significantly increases intention to use, while security and social factors have no significant partial effects; however, all three variables jointly have a significant influence, explaining 65.5% of variance. The findings validate the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and suggest that QRIS adoption strategies should focus on enhancing perceived usefulness, ensuring security, and delivering positive user experiences.   Keywords: QRIS, Perceived Usefulness, Security, Social Factors, Intention to Use

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh leverage, arus kas, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap profitabilitas, yang diukur dengan Return on Assets (ROA), pada perusahaan otomotif yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui analisis regresi data panel dan Fixed Effect Model, penelitian ini mengkaji sampel sembilan perusahaan otomotif yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria seperti kelengkapan laporan keuangan dan status pendaftaran yang konsisten selama periode pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa leverage memiliki pengaruh negatif yang signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, sedangkan arus kas dan ukuran perusahaan secara individual tidak menunjukkan dampak yang signifikan. Meskipun demikian, ketika diuji secara bersamaan, ketiga variabel (leverage, arus kas, dan ukuran perusahaan) secara kolektif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Koefisien determinasi (R2) mengungkapkan bahwa 75,19% variasi dalam profitabilitas dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel-variabel independen ini, yang menggarisbawahi pentingnya manajemen utang yang strategis bagi perusahaan otomotif untuk mengoptimalkan kinerja keuangan di tengah kondisi industri yang dinamis.   Kata Kunci: Leverage, Arus Kas, Ukuran Perusahaan, Profitabilitas, Return on Assets (ROA)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Efisiensi Operasional, Kualitas Kredit, dan Likuiditas terhadap Profitabilitas pada Bank Umum Swasta Nasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan model analisis regresi linear berganda. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang sudah tersedia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Bank Umum Swasta Nasional (BUSN) pada tahun 2020-2024, yang berjumlah 68 perusahaan. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 45 perusahaan, diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Secara parsial, Efisiensi Operasional berpengaruh terhadap Profitabiltas (2) Secara parsial, Kualitas Kredit tidak berpengaruh terhadap Profitabilitas (3) Secara parsial, Likuiditas berpengaruh terhadap Profitabilitas (4) Secara simultan variabel Efisinesi Operasional, Kualitas Kredit, Likuiditas berpengaruh terhadap Profitabilitas.   Kata Kunci: Efisiensi Operasional, Kualitas Kredit, Likuiditas, Profitabilitas

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari variabel independen leverage, tingkat bunga pinjaman, financial distress, dan kebijakan deviden terhadap variabel dependen keputusan hedging dengan instrumen derivatif dan tidak menggunakan instrumen derivatif selama periode 2020-2024. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisisi deskriptif dan analisi regresi logistik dengan bantuan SPPS versi 30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan semua variabel independen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan hedging. Namun secara parsial leverage, tingkat bunga pinjaman, financial distress, dan kebijakan deviden tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan hedging.   Kata Kunci : Hedging, Leverage, Tingkat Bunga Pinjaman, Financial Distress, Kebijakan Deviden
