Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth how the relationship between organizational structure, Islamic values, and leadership can shape organizational behavior in Islamic educational institutions. This study is motivated by the fact that many Islamic educational institutions are still struggling to balance professionalism in institutional management with the application of spiritual values. The research was conducted through a literature study method by examining various scientific sources such as books, journals, and previous research results. All data were then analyzed descriptively to find patterns of correlation and influence between the three elements in the context of Islamic education management. The results of the study show that organizational structure acts as a system that regulates the division of tasks and responsibilities, Islamic values become the moral foundation that guides behavior, while leadership acts as a driving force that unites the two so that they run in harmony. When these three elements are harmoniously intertwined, the organizational behavior that emerges is not only efficient but also reflects Islam through attitudes of trustworthiness, fairness, and responsibility. Thus, the balance between structure, values, and leadership becomes the main foundation in building an ethical, productive organizational culture that has spiritual strength in the Islamic education environment.

Abstract

Rapid social transformation in the modern era poses new challenges for Islamic educational organizations. Islamic education is required to preserve its religious identity while simultaneously adapting to contemporary developments. The need to integrate tradition, modernity, and spirituality renders the study of organizational behavior in Islamic education both conceptually and practically significant. This study aims to critically examine the characteristics, the roles of tradition, modernity, and spirituality, as well as the ideal model of organizational behavior in Islamic educational institutions. The research employs a qualitative method using a library research approach to analyze relevant theoretical frameworks and empirical findings. The results indicate that: (1) the characteristics of organizational behavior in Islamic education include work motivation as an act of worship, the implementation of an Islamic organizational culture, adherence to the principle of maslahah (public benefit), and the perception of leadership as a trust (amanah); (2) tradition plays a crucial role in shaping organizational identity and maintaining value stability, modernity drives transformation and innovation, while spirituality provides meaning and direction for organizational practices; and (3) consequently, the ideal model of organizational behavior in Islamic education is one that is rooted in traditional values, adaptive to contemporary changes, and oriented toward spiritual principles. his study is expected to contribute to the advancement of scholarly discourse on organizational behavior in Islamic education, particularly in integrating tradition, modernity, and spirituality as a foundational framework for developing adaptive and value-based Islamic organizational cultures.

Abstract

Prestasi siswa di lembaga pendidikan menengah atas Islam tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pengajaran, tetapi juga oleh manajemen kesiswaan yang efektif. Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi manajemen Wakil Kepala Madrasah Bidang Kesiswaan dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik dan non-akademik siswa di MAN Kotawaringin Timur. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian lapangan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan prestasi didukung oleh perencanaan sistematis berdasarkan pemetaan minat dan bakat siswa, pelaksanaan terkoordinasi program pengembangan prestasi, serta evaluasi berkelanjutan yang melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan. Perencanaan berfokus pada identifikasi dini potensi siswa dan target prestasi tahunan. Pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui bimbingan rutin dan intensif yang didukung oleh kebijakan dan fasilitas institusi. Evaluasi melibatkan pemantauan berkelanjutan, tinjauan pasca-kompetisi, dan perbaikan program lanjutan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kesiswaan yang terstruktur memainkan peran penting dalam memajukan prestasi siswa di sekolah menengah Islam.
