Abstract

This study examines how female representation in vocational high school leadership contributes to organizational productivity in gender-associated school environments in West Java, Indonesia. Grounded in the argument that leadership diversity is not only an equality concern but also an institutional resource, the study employed a qualitative narrative approach. Data were collected through semi-structured narrative interviews with six female principals from vocational high schools whose organizational settings were marked by gendered assumptions in fields such as mechanics, automotive, and patisserie. The findings reveal three central themes: leadership legitimacy as a condition for institutional productivity, adaptive relational leadership as a mechanism of organizational coordination, and female leadership as a contributor to school productivity through trust, discipline, communication, and program continuity. The study concludes that female representation in school leadership should be understood not merely as symbolic inclusion, but as a productive pathway toward more responsive, coordinated, and effective educational organizations in contemporary Indonesia.

Abstract

Science learning in Indonesian schools continues to face structural and instructional challenges, particularly in laboratory management, inquiry-based implementation, science literacy development, and supervision of science instruction. Effective principal leadership plays a crucial role in ensuring that science learning is systematically planned, implemented, and evaluated. This study examines how Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s Among System can be integrated into science learning management to strengthen principals’ instructional leadership. Using a qualitative literature review approach, this study analyzes empirical research on science education leadership and Dewantara’s educational philosophy. The findings indicate that Dewantara’s leadership trilogy ing ngarsa sung tuladha, ing madya mangun karsa, and tut wuri handayani, supports science learning management through strategic laboratory planning, participative supervision of science teachers, collaborative curriculum development, and the promotion of inquiry-based learning. The Among System encourages structured autonomy in scientific exploration while maintaining professional accountability. However, institutional rigidity, limited laboratory facilities, and administrative constraints remain significant challenges. Integrating Dewantara’s philosophy into science learning management provides a culturally grounded and humanistic leadership framework that enhances instructional quality, scientific literacy, and sustainable school improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategic role of educational planning in supporting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the fourth goal on quality education (SDG 4). Using a literature review method, this study integrates findings from various international and national studies over the past five years that highlight the relationship between education policy, sustainable development governance, and the effectiveness of data-driven and participatory planning. The analysis shows that educational planning plays a crucial role not only as an administrative tool but also as an instrument of social transformation that directs policies, resources, and programs toward achieving the SDGs. Implementation in Indonesia has been integrated into the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and regional development plans, but its effectiveness is still influenced by regional disparities, institutional capacity, and limited human resources. Recent studies confirm that the success of educational planning in supporting SDG 4 depends heavily on systematic, participatory, data-driven, and cross-sectoral planning mechanisms that synergize education with other sectors such as health, employment, and technology. Thus, inclusive and adaptive educational planning is the foundation for realizing quality education and achieving sustainable development goals in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the role of innovation and entrepreneurship education in enhancing graduate employability in vocational higher education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis. In the context of rapid technological change and increasing labor market demands, vocational higher education institutions are expected to produce graduates who are not only technically competent but also innovative, entrepreneurial, and adaptable. This study analyzed 41 Scopus-indexed publications published between 2021 and 2026, with data processed using VOSviewer to identify research trends, keyword relationships, thematic clusters, and the knowledge structure of the field. The findings reveal that employability is the dominant and central theme, strongly associated with innovation, entrepreneurship education, digital skills, soft skills, and work-based learning. The keyword co- occurrence analysis indicates a shift from a traditional skills-based orientation toward a more integrated and multidimensional understanding of employability, emphasizing not only technical competencies but also creativity, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and lifelong learning capacity. In addition, the distribution of authors, institutions, and countries demonstrates that this topic has attracted global scholarly attention, particularly in developing and transitional economies, although the field remains fragmented and continuously evolving. The study concludes that enhancing graduate employability requires a holistic ecosystem that integrates curriculum innovation, entrepreneurial learning, digital capability development, and strong collaboration between educational institutions and industry. It is recommended that future research develop integrative frameworks and explore context-specific strategies to strengthen the alignment between vocational education and labor market needs. Keywords: employability, entrepreneurship education, innovation education, vocational higher education.
