Abstract

AbstractBackground: The production of snake fruit podoh from year to year has increased. Many processed from the fruit of snake fruit of course seeds produced only being waste.So that the seeds of snake fruit that is waste but has any nutrition are numerous and having the benefit for the body to be processed into a drink which is useful. Objective: The effect of extraction time on the quality of instant powdered snake fruit seeds and acceptance of the public against the organoleptic quality. Method: This is a research experiment , the snake fruit seeds powder in the extraction by the time the extraction of 5 minutes , 10 minutes , and 15 minutes. Product testing conducted by the organoleptic test by 30 panelists somewhat trained students test Esa Unggul University using Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Statistical tests using One Way ANOVA. Result: The time of the extraction of having significant with organoleptik to the criteria of taste and preference level with p <α (0.00 <0.05), but the extraction time has no significant to the color, consistency, and flavor. Test levels of quality and the most excellent A level is sampled to 1 with extraction time of 5 minutes, the water content of 3.76%, 7.82% ash content, ash kealkalian 1.16% and the level of preference with a mean of 4.20. Conclusion: Extraction time influence the organoleptic quality standards and instant powdered snake fruit seeds. Expected further research on snake fruit seed instant drinks that focuses on the mineral content present in the snake fruit seed.Keywords: snake fruit Seed, extraction time, spray dryingAbstrakLatar Belakang : Produksi salak podoh dari tahun ke tahun mengalami peningkatan. Banyak olahan dari buah salak tentunya biji yang dihasilkan hanya menjadi limbah. Sehingga biji salak yang merupakan limbah tetapi memiliki kandungan gizi yang banyak dan memiliki manfaat bagi tubuh akan diolah menjadi minuman yang bermanfaat. Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui pengaruh waktu ekstrasi terhadap mutu bubuk instan biji salak dan daya terima masyarakat terhadap mutu organoleptik. Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen, Bubuk biji salak di ekstraksi dengan waktu ekstraksi 5 menit, 10 menit, dan 15 menit. Pengujian produk dilakukan dengan uji organoleptik oleh 30 panelis agak terlatih mahasiwa/i Universitas Esa Unggul menggunakan uji Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Uji statistik menggunakan One Way Anova. Hasil : Waktu ekstraksi memiliki hubungan dengan organoleptik untuk kriteria rasa dan tingkat kesukaan dengan nilai p<α (0,00<0,05), tetapi waktu ekstraksi tidak memiliki hubungan terhadap warna, konsistensi, dan aroma. Uji kadar mutu dan tingkat kesukaan yang paling bagus adalah sampel ke 1 dengan waktu ekstraksi 5 menit, kadar air 3.76%, kadar abu 7.82%, kealkalian abu 1.16% dan tingkat kesukaan dengan nilai mean 4.20. Kesimpulan : Waktu ekstraksi mempengaruhi terhadap standar mutu dan organoleptik bubuk instan biji salak. Diharapkan adanya penelitian lebih lanjut pada minuman instan biji salak yang berfokus pada kandungan mineral yang ada didalam biji salak.Kata kunci     : Biji salak, waktu ekstraksi, spray drying

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of female directors, managerial ownership, female audit committee, audit committee size, independent commissioners, board size on earnings management in Indonesian Non-Financial Firms.  The sample of this study consist of 291 non-financial firms over the period 2015-2017. This study measures earnings management using discretionary accruals. The data were analyzed using multiple regression. This study found that audit committee size negatively affects earnings management. This study also found that female directors, managerial ownership, female audit committee, independent commissioners, and board size do not affect earnings management. This study contributes to the important of audit committee as corporate governance mechanisms to reduce earnings management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik dewan komisaris terhadap manajemen laba. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan hipotesis. Objek penelitian ini adalah perusahaan non-keuangan yang melakukan IPO pada periode 2017-2019. Teknik analisis data adalah regresi linier berganda. Komisaris independen diukur dengan melihat proporsi jumlah komisaris independen dari total anggota dewan komisaris. Gender juga diukur dengan melihat proporsi jumlah komisaris wanita dari total anggota dewan komisaris. Umur komisaris diukur dengan melihat rata-rata usia dewan komisaris dalam suatu perusahaan. Masa jabatan dewan komisaris diukur dengan melihat masa jabatan seorang dewan komisaris dalam suatu perusahaan. Manajemen laba diukur dengan menggunakan The Khotari Model. Dari hasil pengolahan data, diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa komiasris independen, komisaris wanita, umur komisaris, masa jabatan komisaris, dan pendidikan komisaris berpengaruh negatif terhadap manajemen laba.

Abstract

Semi-synthesis of vanillin from eugenol can be divided into two step reactions namely, isomerization of eugenol into isoeugenol, and cleavage oxidation of isomerization product into expected reaction product (vanillin). In this work isomerization of eugenol or eugenyl acetate into isoeugenol or isoeugenyl acetate has been done via the following reactions: (1) Sigmatropic hydrogen (1,3) thermalic rearrangement reaction: direct heating of eugenol or eugenyl acetate at 220o C for 8 hours can produce 52.2% of isoeugenol or 65.7% of isoeugenyl acetate (both chemical yields are measured by means nmr-spectrometer), where products are viscose yellow-brownish liquid as mixture of unseparated starting material and isomerization product. (2) Prototropic (1,3) rearrangement catalyzed by phase transfer catalyst (PTC): (18)-crown ether-6 at room temperature can be afforded 71.4% of isoeugenol as light yellow liquid (mixture of unseparated starting material and isomerization product). Without any separation of mixture between isomerization product and starting material followed by subsequent cleavage oxidation using KMnO4 as oxidator in neutral condition catalyzed by phase transfer catalyst: (18)- crown ether-6 at room temperature for 3 hours can be yielded 16.5-22.9% of vanillin (from the starting material; eugenol or eugenyl acetate). The spectroscopical data of synthetical vanillin is not rather different with the spectroscopical data of authentical natural vanillin

Abstract

This study underscores the pivotal role of applied maritime education in driving the transformation of logistics through the Automatic Identification System (AIS) in Islamic countries. By integrating AIS technology, which enables real-time vessel tracking and monitoring, this research employs a multifaceted approach encompassing literature review, surveys, data analysis, and case studies to assess the current state of maritime education and AIS implementation. The findings emphasize the significance of specialized AIS curricula within maritime education programs and the importance of modern training facilities for fostering practical expertise in AIS technology and logistics management. Collaborative efforts among Islamic countries in curriculum development and facility investments are identified as essential to enhance maritime education's role in AIS transformation. This regional cooperation can facilitate knowledge sharing, best practices, and research, ultimately elevating maritime education standards and global competitiveness while nurturing a more skilled maritime workforce. In conclusion, regional cooperation and investment in modern training facilities are key to unlocking the potential of maritime education, promoting safer and more efficient maritime operations, and driving economic growth and security in Islamic countries.

Abstract

Salicylamide belonged to the class of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) which had analgesic and antipyretic effects similar to salicylic acetyl acid but were not converted to salicylic acid in the body. When used orally, salicylamide did not cause inflammation and bleeding in the stomach. Salicylamide was a weak acid compound (pKa 8,2) whose solubility was affected by the environmental pH. On oral administration, salicylamide passed through the digestive tract in the pH range of about 1,5 - 8,0. According to the Noyes-Whitney equation, drug dissolution was affected by its solubility. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the solubility and dissolution of salicylamide in several pH dissolution media. Solubility tests were carried out in dissolution media with pH 1,2, 4,5, and 6,5 with an ionic strength (µ) of 0,2 in a water bath at 37 ± 0,5 °C until a saturated solution was formed. The dissolution test was carried out in a dissolution media solution with the same pH as the solubility test, using a paddle type stirrer at 50 rpm at 37 ± 0,5 °C for 60 minutes. The level of dissolved salicylamide in the solubility test and dissolution test was determined using a spectrophotometer at λmax for each pH of the medium. Salicylamide solubility and dissolution efficiency values in 60 minutes (ED60) were analyzed by one-way ANOVA at α 0,05. The results showed that the solubility of salicylamide increased with increasing pH. Increasing the solubility of salicylamide increased its dissolution.Keywords: Salicylamide, Ph Effect, Solubility, Dissolution, Noyes-Whitney equation

Abstract

CV. Greanteashop Mozayoo Group is a business engaged in the distribution of frozen food.CV. Geanteashop Mozayoo Group also plans to create a website for customers so that people can shop without fear of contracting the Covid-19 disease and don't have to bother coming to the store. This study aims to optimize the website by utilizing the UCD method. SUS is a method of calculating tools to measure the usability of the created website or success. Testing the sales website on CV. Greentea Shop uses a usage system scale with 10 questions. The User Experience Questionnaire method itself has 26 questions. The results of collection techniques from observations and interviews from data collection results from user or user needs, namely the display must be as attractive as possible for the convenience of the user or user, the display must have images so that users do not feel bored, the system must be easy to understand. The results of the test using SUS obtained an average score of 86, where the score has a result of 86 percent and is graded A based on the SUS score. aspects obtained: 1.98 attractiveness, 1.08 clarity, 2.08 efficiency, 1.79 accuracy, 2.19 stimulation. and novelty 1.88. All aspects get a positive score.

Abstract

Edukasi pengelolaan keuangan menjadi hal yang sangat mendesak pada saat ini. Pemberian dasar pengetahuan terkait pengelolaan keuangan pribadi sejak dini akan bermanfaat bagi siswa SMA untuk mengambil keputusan yang bijak, khususnya investasi. Hal ini disebabkan banyak penawaran investasi bodong dan pengambilan keputusan investasi yang hanya sekedar mengikuti orang atau pihak tertentu. Investasi yang kurang tepat bagi anak muda akan mengakibatkan kerugian investor dan rasa trauma untuk mengelola keuangan, sehingga anak SMA memerlukan edukasi pengelolaan keuangan dan investasi secara bijak. Kegiatan abdimas dilaksanakan dengan metode pemberian edukasi kepada anak SMA Katolik Frateran Surabaya dengan jumlah 330 peserta didik dan wali murid dari kelas 10, 11, dan 12 sejak 28 November 2022 hingga 16 Januari 2023 dengan metode memberi penyuluhan edukasi. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan abdimas melalui kuesioner dapat ditunjukkan dengan rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam pengelolaan keuangan dan investasi yang sebelumnya adalah 75% menjadi 96%. Selain itu, orang tua dan wali murid dari siswa juga mengalami rata-rata peningkatan yakni dari 68% hingga menjadi 93%. Para siswa dan orang tua wali murid telah lebih mengetahui tentang nilai waktu dari uang, mengelola keuangan dengan baik, investasi, cara berinvestasi, dan produk-produk investasi dengan baik dan benar. Dengan demikian, peluang investor dari generasi SMA akan tercipta lebih banyak dan lebih dapat bersikap bijak untuk mencari informasi dan menganalisa sebelum berinvestasi saham.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of agency costs on financial performance and women on the board of commissioners on the influence of agency costs on financial performance. The sample in this study is a non-financial company listed on the Indonesian stock exchange in 2014-2018. Data analysis was performed using panel data regression. This study indicates that agency costs negatively influence financial performance, and the existence of women on the board of commissioners can reduce the negative influence of agency costs on financial performance. It is indicated that women on the board of commissioners increase the alignment of principals and management. Women in the board of commissioners increase the board's ability to monitor the agent when making the decision, and women have characteristics such as risk-averse, conservatism, and ethics.JEL: G23, G32, J16

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of gender diversity on the board of commissioners and the board of directors on the company's cash holdings. A non-financial firm with 1305 observations that was listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2015 and 2019 serves as the study’s sample. The data in this study were analyzed using multiple regression. The ratios of cash holdings to net assets and total assets are used to calculate the amount of cash held. According to this study, the company’s cash holdings are negatively impacted by the diversity of the board of commissioners, and positively by the diversity of the board of directors
