Abstract

Kegiatan pendampingan bagi guru SD ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang media khususnya multimedia pembelajaran IPA, meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam pembuatan multimedia pembelajaran IPA menggunakan Macromedia Flash 8 berbasis discovery learning. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah dengan observasional dan modelling dengan empat fase, yaitu: fase perhatian, fase retensi, fase reproduksi, dan fase motivasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi dan penyebaran angket. Hasil kegiatan pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan, yakni (1) pemahaman guru tentang media pembelajaran dengan rata-rata sebesar 80,91 menjadi 92,46 pada posttest; (2) pemahaman guru tentang pembuatan multimedia pembelajaran IPA menggunakan Macromedia Flash 8 berbasis discovery learning dengan rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 80,00 pada pretest menjadi 95,36; (3) keterampilan dalam pembuatan multimedia pembelajaran IPA menggunakan Macromedia Flash 8 berbasis discovery learning dengan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 72,62 menjadi 90,25 pada posttest. Simpulan kegiatan ini adalah pendampingan guru SD dalam pembuatan multimedia pembelajaran IPA menggunakan Macromedia Flash 8 dapat meningkatkan pemahaman tentang media pembelajaran serta pemahaman dan keterampilan pembuatan multimedia pembelajaran IPA menggunakan Macromedia Flash 8 berbasis discovery learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan soal berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skill HOTS yang valid secara logis, valid secara empiris, serta mengetahui profil jawaban siswa pada materi kalor dan perpindahannya yang layak untuk digunakan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII B dengan jumlah keseluruhan berjumlah 54 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan uji coba produk soal draft I, kemudian soal draft I di validasi oleh validasi ahli materi, konstruksi, dan bahasa, kemudian diuji kevalidan soal serta melihat profil jawaban siswa kemudian data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data kuantitatif. Soal-soal HOTS hasil pengembangan bahwa telah valid secara logis ditinjau dari  aspek materi, konstruksi, dan bahasa dengan kategori sangat valid. Soal-soal HOTS hasil pengembangan bahwa telah valid secara empiris ditinjau dari validitas, reliabilitas, indeks kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan fungsi pengecoh dari tinjauan itu draft soal I berjumlah 20 soal setelah di uji empiris dan dianalisis validitas, reliabilitas, indek kesukaran, daya beda, dan fungsi pengecohnya maka soal yang kualitas memenuhi ada 8 soal. Jika dilihat profil jawaban siswa berada pada soal jenjang kognitif C4 diperoleh 100%. Sedangkan jenjang kognitif soal C5 memperoleh persentase sebesar dengan 97%. Dan pada soal jenjang kognitit C6 memperoleh persentase yaitu 89%.   Kata kunci: Pengembangan soal HOTS, Kalor dan Perpindahannya. ABSTRACT   This study aims to develop questions based on HOTS Higher Order Thinking Skills that are logically valid, empirically valid, and to find out the profile of students' answers on heat and displacement material that is feasible to use. The sample in this study were students in class VII A and VII B with a total of 54 students. Sampling used data collection techniques by testing draft I product questions, then draft I questions were validated by material, construction, and language expert validation, then tested for the validity of the questions and looking at student answer profiles then the data were analyzed using quantitative data analysis techniques. The developed HOTS questions were logically valid in terms of material, construction and language aspects with very valid categories. The HOTS questions as a result of the development were empirically valid in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty index, discriminatory power, and the deceptive function of that review. The draft questions I totaled 20 questions after being empirically tested and analyzed for validity, reliability, index of difficulty, discriminatory power. , and the deceptive function, there are 8 questions that fulfill the quality. If you look at the profile of the student's answers in the question of cognitive level C4, it is obtained 100%. While the cognitive level of C5 questions obtained a percentage of 97%. And in terms of cognitive level C6, the percentage is 89%.   Keywords: Development of HOTS questions, Heat and Displacement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving elementary school students’ science literacy knowledge on the topic of earthquake disaster preparedness. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of fourth-grade students from SD Negeri 04, SD Negeri 08, and SD Negeri 11 in Bengkulu City. Samples were selected using a cluster random sampling technique, resulting in class IVB of SDN 08 as the experimental group and class IVA of SDN 11 as the control group. Data were collected using a science literacy test covering three knowledge aspects: content, procedural, and epistemic. Data analysis was conducted using an independent sample t-test, gain score calculation, and effect size (Cohen’s d), assisted by SPSS version 29. The analysis results revealed a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. The high gain score and effect size value (Cohen’s d = 1.27) indicate that the PBL model is highly effective in enhancing students’ science literacy knowledge. The implementation of this model has been proven to strengthen conceptual understanding, scientific skills, and epistemic awareness, which are essential for disaster preparedness. Therefore, the PBL model is recommended as a relevant and contextual learning approach for elementary education.

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance biology students’ critical thinking skills through the development of STEM-based instructional materials for the Invertebrate Zoology course. Employing a design and development research approach using the ADDIE model, the study involved needs analysis, module development, expert validation, practicality testing, and effectiveness evaluation. The materials integrated STEM elements including ecological measurement tools, technological media, specimen preparation, and data analysis. Validation by experts yielded a 98% score, indicating high validity. Practicality tests showed increasing student satisfaction across individual (83.47%), small group (85.66%), and full-class trials (94.30%). The effectiveness was assessed using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test revealed a statistically significant improvement in students’ critical thinking skills (p = 0.000). Posttest results showed that 66.67% of students reached the “very good” category and 33.33% were in the “good” category, with a mean score of 84%. Among Ennis' critical thinking indicators, “defining terms” had the highest score (95.24%), while “generalizing from evidence” scored the lowest (72.38%). These findings indicate that STEM-integrated teaching materials can effectively foster students’ higher-order thinking in biology education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a thematic E-module utilizing the Project-based Learning (PjBL) model based on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) and to assess its effectiveness in improving science literacy and higher-order thinking skills among fourth-grade elementary school students. The development method utilized the Borg & Gall model. Research instruments included document analysis sheets, needs analysis sheets, and validation sheets. Data collection techniques involved document analysis, observation, questionnaires, and tests. Data obtained from product assessment sheets, test results, and questionnaires were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results indicate that the developed E-Module has demonstrated high levels of validity and effectiveness in enhancing science literacy and higher-order thinking skills among fourth-grade elementary students. Material validity was evaluated using Aiken’s V, with an average score of 0.90 (very valid), and a validator agreement rate of 0.92% (almost perfect). Language and design validity were also found to be high, with Aiken’s V scores of 0.91 (very valid) and 0.88 (very valid) respectively, and validator agreement rates of 0.80% (almost perfect) and 0.73% (strong) respectively. Based on the calculation of gain scores, the experimental group achieved 0.47 (moderate) compared to the control group's score of 0.25 (low). Additionally, an independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (sig <0.05) between the control and experimental groups, confirming the effectiveness of using this E-Module. This research provides a significant contribution to the development of innovative and effective learning materials aimed at enhancing science literacy and higher-order thinking skills among fourth-grade elementary students.

Abstract

The low cognitive learning outcomes of students on the subject of force and the limited availability of interactive learning media are the background of this research. Learning that does not involve students actively causes low motivation and understanding of concepts. This research aims to develop learning media in the form of a Science Board Game based on the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students. The approach used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques include documentation, observation, questionnaires, validation, and cognitive tests. The trial was conducted on students in grades IV A and IV B. Data analysis was carried out with qualitative data obtained from observations, interviews, and expert validation questionnaires analyzed descriptively qualitatively to evaluate the feasibility of the media and quantitative data regarding students' cognitive learning outcomes were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study show that the media that has been developed is in the valid, practical, and effective categories, with an increase in learning outcomes in the medium to high categories. The implication is that game-based media can be an innovative solution to improve the science learning outcomes of elementary school students. The implications of this research show that interactive and competitive learning media innovations can be an effective alternative in increasing student involvement and understanding of science material.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD Biologi berbasis creative problem solving pada materi pencemaran lingkungan dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas X SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Metode penelitian mengadopsi model Dick and Carey terdiri dari 8 tahapan, kemudian akan diuji kelayakan dan efektifitasnya menggunakan penelitian desain R&D menurut (Borg and Gall,1998) terdiri dari 4 tahapan. Subjek penelitian adalah 27 orang peserta didik kelas X MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Tengah. Terdapat 2 variabel yaitu variabel bebas adalah LKPD berbasis creative problem solving, dan variabel terikat adalah kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kreatif berupa tes tertulis. Hasil dari pengembangan LKPD berbasis creative problem solving terdiri 5 unsur kerangka umum dan 8 unsur kerangka inti. Hasil penilaian validasi keseluruhan aspek bahan ajar LKPD yang dikembangkan memiliki kelayakan sangat baik dengan persentase 89,50%. Hasil posttest peserta didik setelah belajar menggunakan semua LKPD menunjukkan keberhasilan ditunjukkan  oleh nilai rata-rata yaitu 81,25 dan telah mencapai KKM, dan perolehan ketuntasan kelas sebesar 85,18%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD biologi berbasis creative problem solving layak dan efektif untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran di kelas X SMA.Kata Kunci : LKPD, berpikir kreatif, creative problem solving.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of extracurricular scouting integrated standby earthquake disaster response skill alert for elementary school students in the city of Bengkulu. This research is a quantitative research. The research design used is The Matching Only Pretest-posttest Control Group Design, the population in this study all the scout participants in SD Negeri Kota Bengkulu. The selected research sample is SD Negeri 02 Kota Bengkulu as Experiment and SD Negeri 19 Kota Bengkulu as the control. The research instruments used are observation sheets given through pretest (before activity) and posttest (after activity). Data of this research are analyzed by using descriptive and inferential analysis that is t-test. From the research results it is known that the average value of experimental group posttest is 80 control group equal to 57.2. The result of t-test with tcount is 9,785 and ttabel 2,306. So thitung>ttable, so it can be concluded that there is an extracurricular influence of integrated scouting education on earthquake disaster preparedness to disaster response preparedness skills of elementary school students in BengkuluCity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the education of environmental-care characters through the Mahira Garbage-Free Program at SD Alam Mahira Kota Bengkulu consisting of planning, implementing, and evaluating. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were elementary school students of Alam Mahira Kota Bengkulu. Techniques Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is done by data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Testing the validity of data using, persistence, triangulation technique, source triangulation and member check. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) Planning phase of Mahira Garbage free program includes preparation of work program of Mahira Bebas Sampah, scheduling activity schedule, and budget funding and activity fund source. (2) The implementation of the Mahira Garbage free program uses a strategy of habituation through conditioning, routine, programmed, spontaneous and exemplary. Implemented programs include socialization of the importance of maintaining cleanliness, daily and monthly cleanliness, provision of hygiene facilities, separating organic and inorganic waste, and utilizing waste into more useful items. (3) Evaluation of Mahira-Free Program for the students of Alam Mahira elementary school that is integrated in attitude assessment in each student progress report card. The conclusion is that the education of the environment-care character of the Mahira-Free Garbage program through the stages of planning, implementation, and Assessment.
