Abstract

One of the factors that affect the health of the workforce in employees can be in the form of physical and psychological disorders, including work stress caused by various factors including workload, work routine, bad organizational roles, economic problems, work environment. Every person who works will receive a load of what is done. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors related to the work stress of nurses in the emergency installation room and the intensive care unit. This research uses descriptive research with a cross sectional approach, the sampling method uses stratified random sampling technique, and uses a questionnaire instrument as a measuring tool. The sample of this study used 42 respondents consisting of 21 in the emergency room and 21 nurses intensive care unit room. Based on research in the emergency room, 14 respondents (66.7%) experienced heavy workload, 12 respondents (57.1%) watched work routines, 11 respondents (52.4%) had a bad organizational role. 13 respondents (61.9%) had a heavy workload, 10 respondents (47.6%) did not support the work environment, 10 respondents (47.6%) had family problems, 10 respondents (47.6%) had economic problems. 10 respondents (47.6%). It is hoped that hospital management can motivate nurses in the emergency room and intensive care unit to minimize stress.

Abstract

Boarding school is school that has a higher demand in terms of personality development, character development, and the inculcation of life values when it compared to a non-boarding school. The many demands and activities could cause several problems for students, both physical and psychological problems. One of psychological problem that might be faced by students is stressful. This study aimed to determine the description of stress in boarding school students. The design of this research is literature review. Research article search was conducted through the electronic database Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar with keyword students stress and stress boarding school by the period of 2016- 2020. Based on 10 research articles, it was found that 2 studies showed the majority of students attending boarding school in the normal category, but 8 studies found that the majority of students had stress which shows a moderate level. Stress of students in boarding schools can be influenced by many factors. Thus, good stress management is needed to increase the value of education and decrease the impact of stress. Abstract

Sports activity is one form of intervention in an effort to prevent diseases that experienced by the elderly one of which is hypertension. This study aims to determine the relationship between exercise activity in the elderly with hypertension and the level of hypertension in the working area of the Kemalaraja Health Center, Baturaja, South Sumatra. This research is a quantitative research that uses a descriptive descriptive research design. The sample of this study was 73 elderly people who were taken based on inclusion criteria by using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were a questionnaire, a sphygmomanometer, and a stethoscope. The statistical tests used in this study were the chi-square test and the man whitney test. There were 43 elderly respondents (58.9%) which showed that sports activities carried out by the elderly were optimal. The statistical test results obtained showed that there was a significant relationship between exercise activity in hypertensive elderly and hypertension level with p value (0.001)> alpha (0.05). There is a significant relationship between exercise activity in hypertensive elderly with hypertension level. Keywords: Connection, Elderly, Hypertension, Hypertension Levels, Sports Activities

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease that causes damage to the heart, blood vessels, and kidneys. DM can be passed down from parents to children. The ways to prevent DM is a balanced diet. The fulfillment of a person's diet is influenced by attitude factors. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship attitudes and diet fulfillment in families at risk of DM in preventing type 2 DM during covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This study used analytical observational design with a cross sectional approach. The research sample was 60 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The analysis used is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using chi square test. Results: This study shows overview of respondents attitudes that 33 respondents (55%) have a negative attitude, 27 respondents (45%) have a positive attitude. Overview of the fulfillment of the respondents diet is that 32 respondents (53%) have a poor diet, 28 respondents (47%) have a good diet. Based on the chi square analysis, it was found that there a relationship between attitude and diet fulfillment in families at risk of type 2 DM with p value (0.000) < α (0.05). Conclusion: Attitude affects diet fulfillment in families at risk of Type 2 DM. Suggested to the health care is expected to provide information to the public about the importance of attitudes and diet fulfillment in preventing type 2 DM. Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada masyarakat yang ada di RW 08 Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sidomulyo Rawat Inap Pekanbaru mengenai Peran Keluarga dalam Mencegah Risiko Depresi pada Lansia melalui penyuluhan ini. Metode yang dilakukan pada penyuluhan ini di awali pembukaan oleh moderator, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tahapan memberikan materi oleh pihak BKKBN dengan ceramah menggunakan media power point yang berisi materi-materi tentang Peran Keluarga dalam Mencegah Risiko Depresi pada Lansia. Pada tahapan ini, pemateri/leader menjelaskan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai pengertian lansia, pengertian depresi, tanda dan gejala munculnya depresi, faktor resiko terjadinya depresi dan penyebab munculnya depresi, akibat dari depresi, dan bagaimana peran keluarga dalam mencegah depresi yang terjadi pada lansia. Diharapkan setelah penyuluhan ini ada perubahan sikap pada masyarakat terutama masyarakat RW 08 Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sidomulyo Rawat Inap Pekanbaru agar mereka menggetahui seberapa penting peran mereka dalam mencegah depresi pada seorang lansia.

Abstract

Background : SARS CoV-2 is the virus that causes Covid-19. Therefore of the Covid-19 vaccination could be preventive way of transmission of Covid-19 to the elderly. And it is affaceted by self-efficacy. This is also one of the important factors in improving health behavior in elderly. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the elderly’s self efficacy against the COVID-19 vaccine with the elderly’s efforts to follow the Covid-19 vaccination Methods : This research design uses a descriptive correlation design. The sample used was 99 respondents in the working area of the Puskesmas Rejosari, which were taken based on inclusion criteria with purposive sampling technique. The analysis used was bivariate and univariate analysis using the chi-square test. Results: The majority of nursing students were female as many as 109 students. Results : the majority of respondents were in the late elderly age stage (56-65 years) as many as 69 respondents (69,7%), female sex as many as 53 respondents (53,5%), the last education was high school as many as 38 respondents (38,4%), 45 respondents (45,5) marital status, namely married as many as 85 respondents (85,9%), and the most comorbid disease was hypertension as many as 43 respondents (43,3%). The description of the elderly,s self-efficacy for the Covid-19 vaccine is high as many as 54 elderly (54,5%), the description of the elderly efforts to follow the COVID-19 vaccination is good as many as 60 elderly (60,6%), and the results of chi square test ρ value < α (0,000 < 0,05). Conclusion : it can be concluded that H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a relationship between the elderly’s self-efficacy against the Covid-19 vaccine and the elderly’s participation in the Covid-19 vaccination. Abstract

Elderly is someone who has entered the age of 60 and over which is very vulnerable to experiencing anxiety which is influenced by various factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and elderly visits to health services during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a cross sectional approach. The number of samples used in this study were 73 people who were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data collection was taken using the GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7) questionnaire and the elderly visit questionnaire to health services where the anxiety questionnaire has been modified and has been tested for validity and reliability. Analysis of the data used is univariate and bivariate using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the description of the level of anxiety in the elderly was mostly mild (63.0%). The majority of elderly visits to health services choose to keep visiting during the Covid-19 pandemic (90.4%). Bivariate analysis showed that p-value (0.224) > (0.05) where there was no significant relationship between anxiety levels and elderly visits to health services during the Covid-19 pandemic in the work area of the Sidomulyo Outpatient Health Center. The results of this study found that the level of anxiety experienced by the elderly due to the current pandemic did not affect the elderly to visit or not visit health services.Keywords : Covid-19; anxiety; visits to health service; elderly.

Abstract

This study aims to see an increase in family knowledge, attitudes, and actions in the prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) after socialization of family empowerment on the prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in RW 12, Sri Meranti Village and training and education on mosquito eradication by examining larvae and spreading abate powder. The research design used a quasi-experimental pre- and post-test design on 50 respondents in the RW 12 area of Sri Meranti Village. This study used a questionnaire instrument. Test analysis using dependent T test analysis. The results showed a significant difference between family knowledge before and after being given counseling related to Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever with a p Value of 0.00. It is hoped that families will apply the knowledge they have gained in socialization, with the hope that dengue cases will decrease or even disappear.
