Abstract

Biaya pelayanan kesehatan, khususnya biaya obat, telah meningkat beberapa tahun terakhir, salah satunya adalah obat gastritis. Tingkat kejadian penyakit gastritis di Indonesia adalah 40, 8%, dan angka kejadian gastritis di beberapa daerah di Indonesia cukup tinggi dengan prevalensi 274.396 kasus dari 238.452.952 jiwa penduduk. Banyak masyarakat membutuhkan obat-obat yang lebih ekonomis dan efisien, sehingga dibuat suatu analisis yaitu analisis farmakoekonomi yang menggambarkan dan menganalisa biaya obat untuk sistem perawatan kesehatan. Salah satunya adalah CMA (Cost-Minimization Analysis) dimana metode ini digunakan untuk mengetahui atau membandingkan dua atau lebih terapi yang memiliki biaya paling minimal dan memiliki nilai ekonomis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pengambilan data secara retrospektif. Sampel pada penelitian ini terdapat 15 kasus pada periode 2017. Obat gastritis yang paling sering digunakan di RSUD Abdul Wahab Sjahranie yaitu ranitidine dan pantoprazol dimana 5 kasus yang menggunakan terapi ranitidine dan 10 kasus yang menggunakan terapi pantoprazole. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan obat Ranitidin memiliki biaya paling minimal yaitu sebesar Rp.5.200.079,- dibandingkan dengan Pantoprazol sebesar Rp.14.256.345,-.

Abstract

Tanaman kerokot (Lygodium microphylum) menunjukan adanya aktivitas antioksidan dengan nilai IC50 65 µ.g/ml. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terkandung dalam daun kerokot dan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian infusa daun kerokot terhadap malondialdehida (MDA) pada hewan coba yang telah dipaparkan asap rokok. Digunakan metode TBARS (Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substance) yang diukur menggunakan Spektofotometer UV-Vis untuk menganalisis kadar MDA. Hewan coba sebanyak 20 ekor dibagi 4 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol normal, paparan asap rokok selama 7 hari, kelompok paparan asap rokok 14 hari serta kelompok infusa daun kerokot. Hasil fitokimia menunjukan bahwa infusa daun kerokot mengandung flavonoid dan tanin. Pengujian kadar MDA menunjukan hasil penurunan kadar MDA setelah pemberian infusa daun kerokot dosis 600 mg/kg BB.

Abstract

Snakefruit (Salacca zalacca) is one of Indonesian native plant that the pericarp of snakefruit can be used because it has activity as an antimicrobial. This study aims to identify the metabolite content of snakefruit pericarp and to investigate the potential of snakefruit pericarp extracts in inhibiting the growth of Streptococcus mutans and Candida albicans. Snakefruit pericarp was extracted by reflux method using ethanol 96%, and an extract was tested by phytochemical qualitatively and antimicrobial activity of extract was carried out using the well method, by using concentrations are 5, 10, 15, and 20%. The results showed that the extracts contains secondary metabolites i.e. alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins and tannins. Extract of snakefruit pericarp can inhibit the growth of Streptococcus mutans and Candida albicans at 5% concentration and the inhibiting activity increased together with higher concentrations of extract.

Abstract

Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) and cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) fruit are plants that have antihypertensive activity. The active ingredient scopoletin, anthosianin, xeronin in noni and high potassium in cucumber can lower blood pressure. This study aims to determine the characteristic description, hedonic quality test and the effect of giving a combination noni and cucumber squeezed water flesh of fruit on reduction in the systolic and diastolic blood pressure of hypertension patients in Muara Jawa District, East Kalimantan. The research method used was quasi experimental and research procedures measuring pre and post test being given treatment for 7 days. The highest percentage of respondents collected data obtained are aged 36-45 years as much as 45%, women70%, junior high school education 45%, family history 60%, frequent exercise habits 55% and normal BMI 45%. The highest percentage of sample hedonic quality test collected data obtained are the flavor test was sweet by 65%, the aroma test was sharp by 75% and the texture test was soft by 75%. The results of statistical tests using the paired sample t-test method showed a significant decrease in systolic blood pressure p = 0.000 < ? (0.05) of 12.3 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure p = 0.000 < ? (0.05) of 5.4 mmHg. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that giving a combination noni and cucumber squeezed water flesh of fruit can have reduced effect on systolic and diastolic blood pressure of hypertension patients.

Abstract

Avocado and bay leaves contain flavonoids which can have an effect on lowering blood pressure. This study aims to determine the characteristics of hypertension patient respondents including age, gender, education, occupation, family history and antihypertensive drugs consumed and to determine the effect of giving a combination of avocado juice and bay leaf water boiled in Samarinda Ulu District. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design and research procedures by measuring before and after treatment. The collection of data on the characteristics of respondents obtained the highest percentage is the category of female gender as much as 67%, age 56-60 years as much as 42%, elementary education as much as 33%, work housewife 58%, having a family history of 75 % and the antihypertensive drug that was consumed by amlodipine was 100%. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by an increase in blood glucose levels, which prevalence in East Kalimantan in 2018 is the third highest in Indonesia. Kersen leaves and dragon fruit are believed to regulate blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus and can be used as a complementary therapy. This study aims to see the characteristics, determine the organoleptic assessment of the combination of dragon fruit juice with kersen leaves boiled water and its effect on blood glucose levels, blood pressure, heart rate, body weight, and the frequency of polyuria, polyphagia, and polydipsia in patients type 2 diabetes mellitus at Klinik Semoga Sehat Samarinda. The research method used was quasi experimental with pre-test and post-test procedures. The data obtained from the characteristics were 70% aged 50-59 years, 70% women, 50% diploma/bachelor, 60% housewives. For organoleptic assessment, it was found that 70% liked the taste, texture, aroma and color and 50% did not feel bitter. The combination of dragon fruit with kersen leaves boiled water had an effect on reducing blood glucose levels significantly (P 0.05) and there was a change in the frequency of polyuria, polyphagia, polydipsia by 80% did not urinate frequently and were not often thirsty and 90% were less hungry.

Abstract

Black Betel Leaf (Piper betle L. var Nigra) contains compounds that act as antibacterials, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, steroids and phenolic compounds. Acne or acne vulgaris is an inflammatory reaction in the sebaceous follicles, which is caused by the Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. This study aims to prove that black betel leaf (Piper betle L. var Nigra) has antibacterial activity and has a long-lasting effect on the ethanol extract of black betel leaf against propionibacterium acne. The method includes sample extraction with 70% ethanol and then followed by antibacterial testing with the well method. In addition, the extract was prepared into a test solution and stored for 7 days at room temperature. The results of antibacterial testing using well diffusion can be concluded that the ethanol extract of black betel leaves with a concentration of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% has the ability to inhibit the growth of propionibacterium acne bacteria. The effect of the extract storage time on day 7 had the largest inhibition zone.

Abstract

Red guava (Psidium guajava) fruits contain lots of vitamin C with 183,5 mg/ 100g. Vitamin C has been researched to have an antioxidant activity that can lower total cholesterol levels. This study aims to analyze meat guava juice's effect in reducing total cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemia patients in Samarinda. The research method is quasi-experimental, pre-test and post-test with control design, with purposive sampling as a sampling method. In the study research, as many as ten people were divided into two groups, group one was given a dose of 250 g once a day, and group two was given a dose of 125 g twice a day and both treatments were given 14-days. Cholesterol data is taken by strip-test method and data analysis using paired T-Test. The analysis results obtained a p-value for the treatment group one of 0.018, for treatment group two of 0,00, and the difference between groups one and two of 0,00. Abstract

Kokang Leaf (Lepisanthes amoena) as a traditional cosmetic for the Dayak Benuaq and Tunjung tribe is very important to be developed in medicine because it is contain secondary metabolites as antioxidants. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the yield of kokang leaves (Lepisanthes amoena), the profile of TLC, and knowing the fraction with the greatest antioxidants in kokang leaves (Lepisanthes amoena). The research used DPPH, KLT, and yield calculation method. The yield obtained in ethanol extract 96% = 23%; N-Hexan = 9.448%; Ethyl Acetate = 1.37%; Ethanol 70% = 9.95%. TLC test results using N.Hexan : Ethyl Acetate (2: 1) eluent and then sprayed with 10% H2SO4, in 96% ethanol extract there were 7 stains, N-Hexan Fraction 9 stains, Ethyl Acetate Fraction 5 stains, and Ethanol Fraction 70 % 1 stain. The qualitative test results after spraying DPPH on TLC, there were yellow spots on a purple background indicating antioxidant activity. The IC50 results were obtained in 96% Ethanol Extract 6.8171 ppm, N-Hexan Fraction 10.0184 ppm, Ethyl Acetate Fraction 5.0107 ppm, and Ethanol 70% Fraction 24.7343 ppm. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the ethyl acetate extract has the highest antioxidant activity with 5.0107 ppm being able to inhibit DPPH radicals.

Abstract

The kokang leaves Lepisanthes amoena (Hassk.) Leenh) is a family of Sapindaceae which has been widely used as a traditional medicine, even now there are many formulas for the preparation of kokang leaves. The purpose of this study was to determine non-specific parameters, profile of TLC and to determine the acute toxicity of ethanol extract of kokang leaves against shrimp larvae of Artemia salina leach. The ethanol extract of kokang leaves was obtained by meseration method using 70% ethanol with a yield of 20.97%. The determination of non-specific parameters includes specific gravity, drying losses, total ash content, acid insoluble ash content. The ethanol extract of kokang leaves was analyzed by TLC profile using chloroform: acetone (8: 2) as eluent. Toxicity testing using the BSLT method and data were analyzed using Reed-Muench analysis. The results of the research to determine the non-specific parameters obtained are the average density 0.81 g; shrinkage in drying an average of 1.73%; total ash content on average 18.76%; acid insoluble ash content averaged 2.31%. The results of the TLC profile analysis were observations at UV 254 nm with an Rf value of 0.8. The results of observations on UV 366 nm showed two stains with Rf values of 0.7 and 0.8. The results of the acute toxicity test showed an LC?? value of 154.170 ppm. The conclusion based on the research results obtained non-specific parameters of kokang leaves. Based on the results of the TLC profile analysis of the compounds contained in the ethanol extract of kokang leaves, it tends to be non-polar. The LC?? value obtained shows that the ethanol extract of kokang leaves is toxic with a value of 154.170 ppm
