Abstract

This study aims to analyze the linguistic characteristics in digital literacy enrichment books with eco green content for junior high school students. The main focus of the research is how language is used contextually, transformatively, and interactively to build environmental awareness and improve students' literacy skills. This research used a qualitative approach with content analysis method. Data collection techniques included document analysis of digital books, observation of students' interaction with interactive features, and structured interviews with teachers and linguists. The data were analysed through three stages: text identification based on environmental themes, categorization into three linguistic approaches, and evaluation of language effectiveness through source triangulation. The results showed that the selection of specific diction, imperative sentence structure, and integration of digital features such as video tutorials and interactive infographics were able to connect environmental concepts with students' real actions. Language in the book does not only function as a conveyor of information, but also as an instrument of identity formation, active participation, and transformation of learning into meaningful social practices. This research confirms the important role of language in creating holistic and sustainability-oriented digital literacy media. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik kebahasaan dalam buku pengayaan digital literasi yang bermuatan eco green untuk siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Fokus utama penelitian adalah bagaimana bahasa digunakan secara kontekstual, transformasional, dan interaktif untuk membangun kesadaran lingkungan serta meningkatkan keterampilan literasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis konten. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi analisis dokumen terhadap buku digital, observasi interaksi siswa dengan fitur interaktif, serta wawancara terstruktur dengan guru dan ahli linguistik. Data dianalisis melalui tiga tahap: identifikasi teks berdasarkan tema lingkungan, kategorisasi ke dalam tiga pendekatan kebahasaan, dan evaluasi efektivitas bahasa melalui triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan diksi spesifik, struktur kalimat imperatif, dan integrasi fitur digital seperti video tutorial dan infografis interaktif mampu menghubungkan konsep lingkungan dengan tindakan nyata siswa. Bahasa dalam buku tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai penyampai informasi, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen pembentukan identitas, partisipasi aktif, dan transformasi pembelajaran menjadi praktik sosial yang bermakna. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran bahasa dalam menciptakan media literasi digital yang holistik dan berorientasi pada keberlanjutan

Abstract

Pada abad 21 ini, guru dituntut dapat menerapkan Kurikulum 2013 revisi dan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, termasuk menyusun asesmen kompetensi berbasis kecakapan abad-21 khusus 4 C’s. Guru masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun instrumen asesmen yang mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis, keterampilan elaborasi, dan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian survey kuantitatif dengan dengan desain expost-facto, dengan tujuan mengungkap tanggapan dan kemampuan umum guru SMP/MTs dalam menyusun asesmen pembelajaran IPAS berbasis kecakapan abad ke-21. Subjek penelitian adalah 30 guru IPAS SMP/MTs di Kota Semarang teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah kuesioner, tes, dan proyek. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji N-Gain, deskriptif persentase, dan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian: 1) tanggapan responden sangat baik mencapai 99% dari peserta, dan 2) peningkatan pemahaman umum responden terhadap materi dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,67 (skala 0-1) dan 3) penguasaan membuat asesmen berbentuk proyek 82 (skala 0-100) kategori baik. Simpulan adalah peningkatan pemahaman guru cukup dan penguasaan bentuk proyek dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of persuasive language in eco-green literacy digital enrichment books for junior high school students through a rhetorical approach. By combining critical discourse analysis (CDA) and classical rhetorical theory (pathos, logos, ethos), this study identifies effective linguistic strategies in conveying environmental messages. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include: (1) document analysis of 15 eco green digital books for junior high schools, (2) in-depth interviews with 12 students and 8 teachers, (3) participatory observation during the implementation of teaching materials for 3 months, and (4) focus group discussions (FGD) with linguistics and environmental education experts. Data analysis was carried out through triangulation of methods using the Miles & Huberman model (data reduction, data display, verification) combined with Aristotle's rhetorical analysis framework and thematic coding techniques to identify linguistic persuasive patterns. The results of the study show that the combination of emotional narrative (pathos), scientific facts (logos), and source credibility (ethos) successfully builds students' ecological awareness, improves conceptual understanding, and encourages real action. Concrete examples such as the story "The Magic Switch in Class 7A", metaphors ("The Earth is our home"), and calls to action ("Turn off the lights!") have proven effective in creating emotional engagement and behavior change. These findings reinforce the theory of the Elaboration Likelihood Model (Petty & Cacioppo, 1986) and provide practical recommendations for digital teaching material developers: integration of holistic rhetorical strategies, emphasis on empirical experience, and adaptive content design for the digital native generation. This research contributes to strengthening environmental literacy through a linguistic-rhetorical approach that is relevant to the challenges of 21st century education.  AbstrakPenelitian ini menganalisis penggunaan bahasa persuasif dalam buku pengayaan digital literasi bertema eco green untuk siswa SMP melalui pendekatan retorika. Dengan menggabungkan analisis wacana kritis (CDA) dan teori retorika klasik (pathos, logos, ethos), studi ini mengidentifikasi strategi linguistik yang efektif dalam menyampaikan pesan lingkungan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi: (1) analisis dokumen terhadap 15 buku digital eco green untuk SMP, (2) wawancara mendalam dengan 12 siswa dan 8 guru, (3) observasi partisipatif selama implementasi bahan ajar selama 3 bulan, dan (4) focus group discussion (FGD) dengan ahli linguistik dan pendidikan lingkungan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui triangulasi metode menggunakan model Miles & Huberman (reduksi data, display data, verifikasi) yang dikombinasikan dengan framework analisis retorika Aristoteles dan teknik coding tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola persuasif linguistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi narasi emosional (pathos), fakta ilmiah (logos), dan kredibilitas sumber (ethos) berhasil membangun kesadaran ekologis siswa, meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual, serta mendorong aksi nyata. Contoh konkret seperti cerita "Saklar Ajaib di Kelas 7A", metafora ("Bumi adalah rumah kita"), dan call to action ("Matikan lampu!") terbukti efektif menciptakan emotional engagement dan perubahan perilaku. Temuan ini memperkuat teori Elaboration Likelihood Model (Petty & Cacioppo, 1986) sekaligus memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi pengembang bahan ajar digital: integrasi strategi retorika yang holistik, penekanan pada pengalaman empiris, dan desain konten yang adaptif bagi generasi digital native. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada penguatan literasi lingkungan melalui pendekatan linguistik-retoris yang relevan dengan tantangan pendidikan abad ke-21.

Abstract

Learning will be effective if the teacher understands the needs of learning well. The purpose of this study was to explore the needs of teachers in literacy learning on reading comprehension competence in elementary schools. The method used in this research is exploratory qualitative which was conducted at the State Elementary School in Central Magelang Sub-District, Magelang City, Central Java Province, Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that there are several problems in literacy learning of reading comprehension competence so teachers need several learning innovations as solutions, namely in the learning model by combining problem-based learning models with the SQ3R model, in teaching materials by developing integrated teaching materials with innovative learning models, and on the assessment instrument by developing an assessment instrument oriented towards high order thinking skills (HOTS). The results of this needs analysis will be used to conduct further research as a form of literacy learning innovation in reading comprehension competence.

Abstract

This study aims to develop guided writing teaching materials based on High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) with the 4-D development research model approach (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The development process begins with the define stage to identify student needs and analyze the curriculum, followed by the design stage to design the initial teaching materials. At the develop stage, the teaching materials were validated by media experts and material experts, and tested on 28 students of grade VI state elementary school 01 Wates Semarang. The last stage, disseminate, was conducted to disseminate the product openly to teachers and students in the context of learning. The results showed that validation from media experts resulted in an average score of 90.5% (very feasible category), while validation from material experts resulted in an average score of 92% (very feasible category). The trial of the developed teaching materials to 28 elementary school students of grade VI state elementary school 01 Wates in Semarang City and the results of the comparison between pretest and posttest were -4.543, with a p value (Asymp. Sig.) of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with an effective category of improving students' writing skills by providing stimulation to think critically, analytically, and creatively according to HOTS characteristics. Thus, the development of HOTS-based writing teaching materials can be an effective innovation in literacy learning in elementary schools, especially to improve in-depth and meaningful guided writing skills. This study recommends wider implementation of this teaching material in other classes as well as further development based on digital technology to reach a wider audience.

Abstract

Penalaran adalah proses berpikir yang sistematik dan logis untuk memperoleh sebuah simpulan. Tujuan penelitian ini dalah untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan pola argumen dalam karangan argumentasi siswa tahap operasi formal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan model analisis dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pola penalaran argumen siswa tahap operasi formal terdiri atas lima pola penalaran argumen dengan beberapa variasi bentukan. Pola yang digunakan siswa tahap operasi formal tidak terpaku pada jenjang sekolah. Pola yang paling sederhana, yakni pola (C-G) ternyata masih digunakan oleh siswa tahap operasi formal jenjang SMA. Begitu pula pada pola yang paling kompleks, yakni pola (C-G-W-B-MQ-PR) ternyata sudah mulai digunakan oleh siswa tahap operasi formal awal yaitu jenjang SMP. Hasil temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap operasi formal, daya pikir siswa sudah sangat kreatif dan variatif. Reasoning is a systematic and logical process of thinking to derive a conclusion. The purpose of this study is to find and describe the pattern of arguments in the student's argumentation of the formal operation phase. This research is a qualitative research with analysis model from Miles and Huberman. The result of this research is the reasoning pattern of students' argument of formal operation stage consists of five argument reasoning pattern with some formation variation. The pattern used by students in the formal operation phase is glued to the school level. The simplest pattern, while the pattern (C-G) was still used by students of the formal operation stage of senior high school. Similarly, in the most complex pattern, the pattern (C-G-W-B-MQ-PR) was already started to be used by the students of the formal operation phase of junior high school. These findings indicate that in the formal operation phase, students' thinking power has been very creative and varied.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the form of direct speech acts and the function of explicit humanist directive speech acts. The data source in this research is the film “Anak Negeri Kisah Masa Kecil Ganjar Pranowo” by the director Mirwan Arfah. The data were collected using the observation method, basic tapping techniques, advanced technique of listening to the free to speak competently, and the advanced technique of note-taking. The validity of the data used triangulation: source, technique, and time. Data were analyzed using the practical matching method with the basic technique of sorting the determinants. Based on the mode, it includes: declarative, interrogative, and imperative. The function of direct humanist directive speech acts includes: asking, begging, inviting, asking, ordering, prohibiting, forgiving, and advising.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bentuk tindak tutur langsung dan fungsi tindak tutur direktif humanis langsung. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah film “Anak Negeri Kisah Masa Kecil Ganjar Pranowo” Sutradara Mirwan Arfah. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode simak, teknik dasar sadap, teknik lanjutan simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC), dan teknik lanjutan catat.Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi: sumber, teknik, dan waktu. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode padan pragmatis dengan teknik dasar pilah unsur penentu (PUP). Berdasarkan modusnya, meliputi: deklaratif, interogatif, dan imperatif. Fungsi tindak tutur direktif humanis langsung, meliputi: meminta, memohon, mengajak, bertanya, memerintah, melarang, memaafkan, dan menasihati.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop BIPA teaching materials for business communication purposes with animated video content. This study is a development research using the Analysis, design, development, implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) model. The results of this study indicate (1) The results of the analysis of the needs of BIPA teachers and learners for business communication purposes require teaching materials that contain themes and materials that contain business elements. In addition, teachers and learners need digital teaching materials that contain images, illustrations, and videos. (2) The design of BIPA teaching materials for business communication purposes containing animated videos includes the themes of Self-Introduction, Indonesian Work Culture, Let's Send Letters, Negotiation, Job Interviews, Business Reports, and Company Organizational Structure. In each unit there are materials for four language skills (3) Based on the validation results from material experts and media experts, it shows that BIPA digital teaching materials for business communication purposes containing animated videos are very valid. This can be seen from the average validation value of material experts and media experts, namely 87.58, this value indicates that the teaching materials are very valid and suitable for use. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar BIPA tujuan komunikasi bisnis dengan muatan video animasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Analysis, design, develovement, implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE). Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan denggunakan angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan (1) Hasil analisis kebutuhan pengajar dan pemelajar BIPA tujuan komunikasi bisnis membutuhkan bahan ajar yang memuat tema dan materi yang mengandung unsur bisnis. Selain itu, pengajar dan pembelajar membutuhakan bahan ajar digital yang memuat gambar, ilustrasi, dan video. (2) Berdasarkan hasil validasi dari para ahli materi dan ahli media menunjukan bahwa bahan ajar digital BIPA tujuan komunikasi bisnis bermuatan video animasi sangat valid. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil rata-rata nilai validasi ahli materi yaitu 87,88, rata-rata nilai validasi ahli media 92,5. Berdasarkan hasil validasi tersebut rata-rata nilai validasi dari ahli materi dan media yaitu 90,19 nilai tersebut menunjukan bahwa bahan ajar tersebut sangat valid. (3) Berdasarkan hasil implementasi bahan ajar digital BIPA tujuan komunikasi bisnis bermuatan video animasi didapat nilai respons pengajar dan pemelajar BIPA tujuan komunikasi bisnis sebesar 87 nilai tersebut menunjukan bahwa bahan ajar tersebut sangat valid. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi, media, dan pengguna didapat rata-rata nilai validasi sebesar 82. Nilai tersebut menunjukan bahwa bahan ajar tersebut sangat valid dan layak untuk dipergunakan.
