Abstract

The social construction of celebrities in the world of politics has become a phenomenon that attracts attention, especially in relation to educational empowerment and media influence. Celebrity-driven voter campaigns often elicit positive responses from younger audiences, who may previously be less interested in political issues. Thus, collaboration between education and media not only increases political awareness but also encourages active community involvement. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature study approach, analyzing previous research to understand the role of celebrities in influencing involvement in the realm of political society. The research results show that celebrities play an important role in increasing people's political awareness. Education contributes to the political understanding of celebrities, who often use their platforms to spread information about political issues. Media, especially social media, amplifies these messages and allows direct interaction with fans, encouraging political participation, especially among the younger generation. Voter campaigns promoted by celebrities often attract the attention of audiences previously less interested in politics. This research confirms that celebrities are not only entertainment figures, but also agents of social change who have the potential to influence political dynamics through education and the media.

Abstract

This research aims to identify patterns of social media usage, evaluate the effectiveness of social media campaigns, and explore the role of social media in voter education. This research discusses the influence of social media on public participation in the 2024 elections in Indonesia. Social media has become one of the main tools in political communication, both for candidates, political parties, and voters. This study uses a mixed-methods approach with surveys of 500 respondents from various regions in Indonesia, complemented by content analysis of political campaigns on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The level of voter participation who are actively engaged in online political discussions is also proven to be higher compared to those who are less active on social media. The issues found in the field include: 1. What are the social media platforms most commonly used by the public in the context of elections? 2. How is social media used to educate voters about political issues, candidates, and the electoral process? 3. What are the main challenges faced in using social media for electoral participation? The research method used is the quantitative method. This method involves the collection of data that can be measured and statistically analyzed. The research results show that social media plays a significant role in increasing political awareness among the public, especially among young voters. However, the research also found that information disseminated through social media is often unverified, which can negatively influence public opinion.

Abstract

The ornamental flower industry in Indonesia has shown a significant growth trend and is increasingly gaining popularity among the public. Numerous flower shops have emerged in various cities, offering a wide range of cut flowers. This sector holds promising potential for continuous development. Cut flowers of various types also possess high economic value, making them an attractive and profitable business opportunity. This study aims to examine the influence of service quality, product quality, and price perception on customer satisfaction at Shanum Florist Fresh Flower Shop in Tuban City. This study employed a quantitative research approach using a survey method by distributing online questionnaires to respondents selected through a convenience sampling technique, involving a total of 112 participants. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of the SmartPLS software. The study results reveal that service quality positively and significantly influences customer satisfaction, while product quality shows a positive yet insignificant impact. Additionally, price perception demonstrates a positive and significant relationship with customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This development research is motivated by the critical need to foster writing skills, a foundational literacy mandate outlined in the Independent Curriculum and Law No. 20 of 2003 on the National Education System. Descriptive text writing, in particular, is a fundamental competency in elementary-level Indonesian language learning that often presents challenges for students. Addressing these challenges requires innovative learning media that not only meets cognitive objectives but also creates interactive, engaging, and contextually relevant learning experiences for students in the digital age. In response, this study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a Barcode-Based Dice Card Game, named GARDU, in improving students' descriptive writing skills. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, following the Borg & Gall model, combined with a Quasi-Experimental design. The population consisted of third-grade students from SDN Songgokerto 01 and SDN Songgokerto 03 in Batu city, with a sample of 52 students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using validation sheets, observation sheets, user response questionnaires, and descriptive writing performance tests (pre-test and post-test). The results from material and media experts validated the GARDU media as "Highly Suitable," with an average score above 90%. Responses from both students and teachers were also overwhelmingly positive, indicating the media's practicality and appeal. Quantitatively, the data analysis revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group's writing skills, with a classical learning completeness increase of 35.7%. A paired sample t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the Barcode-Based Dice Card Game (GARDU) is a valid, practical, and effective learning medium. It not only significantly enhances descriptive writing skills but also promotes active student engagement, stimulates critical thinking, and accommodates the learning styles of the digital generation by leveraging familiar technology.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model combined with serialized picture screen media, known as Lagari, on the literacy and communication skills of third-grade students in an Indonesian elementary school. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the research involved a specific sample of primary school learners to measure the impact of this integrated method. The findings from statistical analyses, including the independent sample t-test and linear regression, were decisive. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), clearly indicating that the TTW model with Lagari media (X) had a significant positive effect on both students' reading and writing literacy skills (Y1) and their communication abilities (Y2). The rationale for this success is rooted in the model's structured yet interactive nature. The TTW framework actively engages students by first requiring them to process information individually (Think), then articulate and debate their ideas within a group setting (Talk), and finally construct and solidify their understanding through written expression (Write). This entire process is effectively scaffolded by the Lagari media, which provides a coherent visual narrative that stimulates discussion and guides narrative construction. The implications of these findings are substantial for educational practice. They confirm that the TTW model, when enhanced with visual aids like Lagari, is a highly effective pedagogical strategy. It is therefore strongly recommended for application in primary education to simultaneously cultivate the critical and interconnected competencies of literacy and verbal communication, which are fundamental to academic success and lifelong learning
