Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of paper dolls as a storytelling medium on literacy skills in elementary school students. Students consider that literacy is not essential, resulting in low interest in reading students and the impact of online learning; parents do not support student literacy, so students' literacy skills still need to be improved. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental research design with the One Group Pretest Posttest Design type. The population of this research is elementary school students in Pati, Central Java. Data collection techniques using test techniques. The research data was examined through the normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis testing, and n-gain test. The results showed that the effect of paper dolls as a storytelling medium on elementary school students' literacy skills was significant change. This can be seen from the increase in value after being given treatment in the form of using paper doll media as a storytelling medium which has increased. The lowest score in the pretest data was 40, and in the posttest data, it increased to 47, while the highest score in the pretest data was 67, and in the posttest, it increased to 97. The results of the data normality test obtained the sig value data in the pretest value of 0.102, and the sig value in the posttest value is 0.130 or greater than 0.05. So the data has a normal distribution. The paired sample mean difference test results showed an equal variance assumed value of 0.000. The decision was made based on the significance value; the result was a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so Ho was rejected, meaning there was a difference in the average score between the pretest and posttest. Suggestions in this study are that students are expected to be able to optimize their literacy abilities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan kesalahan penggunaan ejaan dalam karangan narasi serta (2) mengetahui penyebab kesalahan penggunaan ejaan dalam karangan narasi siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus dimana data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara dengan subjek guru dan siswa kelas VI SDN Ngijo 02 dan objek penelitian dari hasil analisis teks narasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen pengumpulan data berupa peneliti sendiri, peserta didik, serta wali kelas SDN Ngijo 02 untuk mendapatkan data melalui dokumentasi serta wawancara Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data berupa melakukan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, menyajikan data serta menarik kesimpulan dan juga menggunakan kebasahan data berupa triangulasi data dan sumber, diskusi dengan teman sejawat serta menggunakan teknik pembacaan berulang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesalahan dalam penggunaan ejaan pada kesalahan penggunaan huruf sebanyak 86%, kesalahan dalam penulisan kata sebanyak 86%, kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca sebanyak 86%, serta kesalahan penggunaan unsur serapan sebanyak 13% dan juga penelitian ini menemukan faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab siswa salah dalam menggunakan ejaan saat menulis. Disimpulkan bahwa masih terdapat siswa yang kesulitan menulis dengan memperhatikan ejaan dan juga terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhinya yakni faktor internal dan faktor eksternal, serta terdapat cara untuk memperbaiki tulisan siswa seperti menggunakan strategi SAMT yang dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengembangkan materi pembelajaran khususnya dalam menulis dengan memperhatikan kaidah kebahasaan dan ejaan yang berlaku.

Abstract

This community service aims to strengthen security and support to prevent and reduce the number of violence incidents in schools. The service was carried out with a group intervention method in the form of psychoeducation both training and non-training for the TPPK Task Force, teachers and staff, parents, and students of SDN 1 Cawas. The methods used were FGDs by developing regulations through School SMART GOALS; training psychoeducation to improve knowledge and skills and increase the self-efficacy of the TPPK Task Force; and non-training psychoeducation to increase knowledge and awareness of parents, teachers, and students regarding the prevention and handling of violence in schools. The results of the service showed an increase in knowledge, and self-efficacy of teachers and parents, as well as increased empathy and knowledge about understanding violence in schools and efforts to prevent violence. The psychoeducation activities were able to increase knowledge, skills, and awareness for all elements involved in the school, namely the TPPK Task Force, teachers, parents, and students at SDN 1 Cawas regarding the prevention and handling of violence in schools.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPAS sering dianggap susah dipelajari dikarenakan banyak materi, membutuhkan penalaran dan pemahaman yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar. Peserta didik cenderung tidak focus pada saat proses pembelajaran di kelas yang menimbulkan keefektifan peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran rendah dan kurang semangat untuk memahami materi yang memicu hasil belajar peserta didik rendah, maka butuh penelitian mengenai implementasi penggunaan media puzzle teka-teki silang berbasis web untuk menunjang hasil belajar peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu pengembangan produk yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran IPAS peserta didik. Media puzzle teka-teki silang berbasis web adalah suatu alat bantu yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggabungkan antara puzzle dan teka-teki menjadi satu yang berbasis web dengan didalamnya terdapat materi mengenai sistem pernapasan manusia, soal latihan yang dikemas dalam suatu permainan yang bisa dipelajari dimanapun dan kapanpun. Tahapan desain penelitian sebagai berikuti: 1) identifikasi kemampuan dan persoalan, 2) akumulasi data, 3) rancangan produk, 4) validasi rancangan, 5) perbaikan rancangan, 6) pengujian produk, 7) evaluasi produk. Hasil validitas dari dua validator menunjukkan persentase yang tinggi yakni; 1) 95,8 % dari ahli materi, 2) 97,5% dari ahli media. Sehingga pembuatan media puzzle teka-teki silang berbasis web dianggap selaras dan sanggup dipakai secara efektif dalam kegiatan belajar.

Abstract

This reserch aims to find out the correlation of parenting to reading interest g. In this study the researcher uses a simple paradigm research model which only has one independent variable / parental parenting pattern and one dependent variable or dependent yaituminat read students. The indicators used in reading interest in this study were attention, feelings of pleasure, teacher motivation and parents' motivation. This type of research correlates with a quantitative approach that analyzes data with the help of statistical tools in the form of numbers.This research is a correlation research. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach that analyzes data with the aid of statistical tools in the form of numbers. Samples used students as many as 86 students using simple random sampling method. The sample of this study was tested with SPSS version 23 using correlation regression analysis getting sig results 0.270 indicates that there is a significant relationship in parenting parenting of reading interest but the level of correlation of variable X to variable Y is fairly low. This conclusion is obtained from the interpretation scale table that sig range from 0.200 to sig 0.399 is low, sig <0.199 is classified is lower.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menguji efektivitas penggunaan metode Struktural Analitik Sintetik (SAS) terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa, dan (2) menganalisis dampak penggunaan metode SAS berbantuan buku cerita bergambar terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SDN Purwoyoso 02. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimental tipe Nonequivalent Control Group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IA (22 siswa, kelompok eksperimen) dan kelas IB (22 siswa, kelompok kontrol). Data dikumpulkan melalui tes (pretest dan posttest), observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas dan homogenitas sebagai prasyarat, kemudian uji hipotesis menggunakan Paired Sample t-Test dan Independent Sample t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode SAS efektif terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan, ditunjukkan dengan skor rata-rata pretest 59,73 menjadi 83,73 pada posttest di kelas eksperimen (sig. 0,000 < 0,05). Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol (sig. 0,002 < 0,05). Dengan demikian, penerapan metode SAS berbantuan buku cerita bergambar berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa.

Abstract

The key to students' early literacy success lies in effective learning strategies. Improving narrative writing skills in elementary school students is a crucial benchmark in developing their thinking and expressive abilities. Therefore, this article aims to examine the impact of the Classroom Reading Program (CRP) on the narrative writing skills of elementary school students. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative literature review. Data was obtained through the compilation and content analysis of various relevant literature. To ensure the accuracy of the study and prevent misinformation in data analysis, triangulation was performed among literary sources. This research found that the consistent use of CRP has a proven positive and significant influence on enhancing the narrative writing skills of elementary school students. This improvement is evident in students' ability to construct coherent story plots, use varied sentence structures, and select appropriate diction. In other words, CRP offers a conception of an effective integrated learning model as an effort to optimize the provision of early writing literacy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Despite the growing focus on digital literacy training, there is still little empirical research combining ethnolinguistics with interactive digital storytelling in elementary school. To improve students' cultural literacy, this study proposes and assesses an innovative teaching strategy that integrates ethnolinguistic aspects of farming culture into interactive digital storytelling. Before being used in elementary classrooms, the digital media were created based on the needs analysis and verified by specialists using the design-based research framework ADDIE. Pre- and post-tests and instructor evaluations were used to gauge students' cultural literacy, and the results were analysed quantitatively using normality tests and the Wilcoxon test. The data reveal that the ethnolinguistic-based interactive storytelling greatly increased students’ grasp of local farming culture and their awareness of linguistic diversity, demonstrating meaningful learning gains following the intervention. Student and teacher responses also showed that the video is practical for elementary school students. These results add empirical evidence for the effectiveness of culturally grounded digital storytelling in primary school and show its potential for enhancing ethnolinguistics-informed literacy pedagogy and culturally responsive learning in multilingual contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teacher strategies in developing critical thinking skills of fifth grade students at SDN Wonolopo 02, Semarang. This study was motivated by the results of initial observations which showed that learning was still carried out conventionally and centered on the teacher, resulting in low student engagement and learning outcomes. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and interviews involving students, class teachers, and principals. Data validity was obtained through source triangulation to obtain comprehensive and credible results. The results showed that teachers had implemented various strategies, such as managing learning time, sequencing learning activities, selecting media, and implementing student-based learning methods such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PJBL). This strategy supports the development of critical thinking indicators such as interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. Although there are still some obstacles in its implementation, the results of the interview showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills. In conclusion, the implementation of PBL and PJBL with the right strategy can improve students' critical thinking skills, especially with collaborative support between teachers and schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dampak metode inkuiri yang didukung media gambar berseri terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas IV SD Wonosari 03 dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain kuasi-eksperimental kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Data diperoleh melalui pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen (Sig. 0,000 < 0,05) serta perbedaan signifikan dibandingkan kelompok kontrol, dengan rata-rata N-Gain kelompok eksperimen (0,6148) lebih tinggi daripada kontrol (0,3184).. Secara sosial, metode ini mendorong kreativitas, keaktifan, serta kemampuan ekspresi siswa di sekolah. Secara praktis, metode inkuiri berbantuan gambar berseri dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif bagi guru dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi. Oleh karena itu, metode inkuiri yang dibantu media gambar berseri terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa SD.
