Abstract

Teachers' understanding and skills in developing teaching materials are absolute requirements that teachers must have. In reality, the understanding and skills of junior high school mathematics teachers in South Lampung in developing teaching materials, especially geometry, are still low. This has implications for the low quality of learning which has an impact on students' low geometry abilities. One of the geometric materials is circles. The teacher views that circle material only contains a collection of formulas so that learning is mechanistic and dogmatic. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out training to improve the understanding and skills of junior high school mathematics teachers in South Lampung in developing circle teaching materials. This activity involved 26 junior high school mathematics teachers in South Lampung as participants. This training method takes the form of presenting material and workshops. Activities are carried out through presentation of material, discussion, group work and presentation of work results. Activity data is in the form of teacher understanding and skill scores in developing circle teaching materials obtained through pretest and posttest. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics. The results of data analysis show that as many as 80% of teachers have initial understanding and skills that are not yet good. After attending the training, as many as 96.15% of teachers had relatively high levels of understanding and skills. Thus, this training is effective in increasing teachers' understanding and skills in developing circle teaching materials.

Abstract

Children who study the Koran at the TPA often feel bored, especially when memorization activities are hampered by the lack of participants. To overcome boredom and increase their creativity, a tote bag making program was designed as an interesting and educational innovation. Tote bags, or handbags, were chosen as a simple medium to train children's art and craft skills. This Community Service Program (PkM) was implemented at the Nurul Amin Mosque TPA, Yosorejo District, with the main objective of increasing creativity, teaching the value of cooperation, and building a sense of ownership of their work. This activity involved a participatory method, with the main participants being the TPA children. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively to measure the results of the participants' skills and enthusiasm. The results of the program showed that the children succeeded in making tote bags with creative designs, reflecting their increased art skills. Participants also showed high enthusiasm, indicating reduced boredom and increased involvement. This program also encouraged good social interaction among children. The success of this activity is proof that the participatory method can be a model for other community empowerment programs.Keywords: creativity; media; totebag AbstrakAnak-anak yang mengaji di TPA sering merasa bosan, terutama saat kegiatan hafalan terkendala minimnya kehadiran peserta. Untuk mengatasi kejenuhan dan meningkatkan kreativitas mereka, program pembuatan tote bag dirancang sebagai inovasi yang menarik sekaligus mendidik. Tote bag, atau tas jinjing, dipilih sebagai media sederhana untuk melatih keterampilan seni dan kerajinan anak-anak. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan di TPA Masjid Nurul Amin, Kecamatan Yosorejo, dengan tujuan utama meningkatkan kreativitas, mengajarkan nilai kerja sama, dan membangun rasa kepemilikan terhadap karya mereka. Kegiatan ini melibatkan metode partisipatif, dengan peserta utama adalah anak-anak TPA. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengukur hasil keterampilan dan antusiasme peserta. Hasil program menunjukkan anak-anak berhasil membuat tote bag dengan desain kreatif, mencerminkan peningkatan keterampilan seni mereka. Peserta juga menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi, menandakan berkurangnya kejenuhan dan meningkatnya keterlibatan mereka. Program ini juga mendorong interaksi sosial yang baik di antara anak-anak. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini menjadi bukti bahwa metode partisipatif dapat menjadi model untuk program pemberdayaan masyarakat lainnya.Kata Kunci: kreativitas; media; totebag DOI: https://doi.org/10.23960/rp/v4i2.hal.56-65

Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi diketahui bahwa masih terdapat guru matematika yang kesulitan dalam menggunakan dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran, khususnya di Kabupaten Pringsewu, Lampung. Jadi, tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru matematika di Kabupaten Pringsewu terkait dengan pembuatan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis IT dengan menggunakan FlipaClip. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dengan 40% teori dan 60% praktik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan tahapan melakukan tes awal, melaksanakan pelatihan, dan melaksanakan tes akhir. Peserta kegiatan ini sebanyak 20 orang yang merupakan guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi. Selanjutnya teknik analisis data secara deskriptif dan menggunakan N-Gain. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu terjadi peningkatan pemahaman guru tentang media pembelajaran, bangun datar dan FlipaClip yang ditunjukkan dari hasil N-Gain di mana 45% peserta mengalami peningkatan sedang dan 55% mengalami peningkatan tinggi. Selain itu, Guru sudah mulai memiliki keterampilan dalam membuat media pembelajaran menggunakan FlipaClip yang ditunjukkan oleh praktik yang dilakukan guru serta produk akhir yang dihasilkan oleh para guru Matematika SMP di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru telah mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan memiliki keterampilan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis FlipaClip.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the guided discovery learning model on students' mathematical reflective thinking ability. The population in this study were all 8th grade students in one of the schools in Lampung in the 2024/2025 academic year as many as 287 students distributed into 9 classes. The sample in this study took two classes totaling 29 and 27 students respectively which were selected using a cluster random sampling technique. The design used was posttest only control group design. The data collection technique used was a test technique with an instrument in the form of a 4-item mathematical reflective thinking ability test question sheet. Based on the results of the normality test and homogeneity test, it was found that the posttest data from the two groups were normally distributed and homogeneous. Furthermore, the hypothesis test using the independent sample t-test test showed that the mathematical reflective thinking ability of students who followed the guided discovery learning model was higher than the mathematical reflective thinking ability of students who followed the direct instruction model. Therefore, it can be concluded that the guided discovery learning model affects students' mathematical reflective thinking ability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' creative mathematical problem-solving skills in learning with the STEM approach. The population in this study were all VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung in the 2024/2025 academic year, and as many as 352 students were distributed in eleven classes. The samples of this study were classes VIII.7 and VIII.9, which were selected using a purposive sampling technique, and the research design used was a non-equivalent control group design. The data in this study are quantitative data obtained through tests to measure mathematical creative problem-solving skills. The data on the improvement score (N-Gain) in the experimental class was not normally distributed, so the data analysis in this study used the Mann-Whitney U test and the proportion test. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney U test analysis, it was found that the increase in the mathematical creative problem-solving skills of students with the STEM approach was higher than the increase in the mathematical creative problem-solving skills of students in the conventional learning and the proportion of students who had well categorized mathematical creative problem-solving skills was more than 60% of the number of students with the STEM approach. Thus, the application of learning with the STEM approach is practical regarding the creative mathematical problem-solving skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Mathematical communication ability is the skill of conveying mathematical thinking expressed in various forms of representation such as narratives, images, diagrams, videos, sounds and other media. Alqurun Teaching Model is an innovation in education in the form of a learning model that is designed to encourage students to improve their mathematical abilities, one of which is mathematical communication ability. The study aims to measure the difference in mathematical communication skills of students taught with Alqurun Teaching Model and conventional models. This research is a quantitative research with postest only control group design. Data were collected through tests designed to measure mathematical communication skills, then the results were analyzed using independent sample t-test. The sample involved was 85 students who were divided into two research groups, namely control and experimental classes. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique where the sample was selectively chosen based on certain criteria, namely the same level of communication skills and facilitated with the same teacher and has a stable cognitive development so that it can interpret its mathematical ideas. The results showed that the mathematical communication skills of students subjected to the Alqurun Teaching Model were significantly superior to students subjected to conventional models.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze digital literacy skills on the level of curiosity and self-determination of students. This study uses a quantitative approach with statistical methods. The type of research used in this research is ex-post facto. The population in this study were students in Indonesia aged 17-22 years with a sample of 723 selected randomly. The instruments used are digital literacy measurement, the Curiosity measurement scale, and the self-determination measurement scale. Data analysis used statistical tests, namely the Mann-Whitney test and Simple Linear Regression. The main result of this research is that there are differences in digital literacy and self-determination in terms of gender, but in the aspect of Curiosity there is no difference. Furthermore, there is a positive effect of digital literacy on curiosity and self-determination. The digital literacy prediction model for Curiosity is Y=11.28+0.38X and the digital literacy prediction model for self-determination is Y=25.77+0.57X. Keywords: college student, curiosity, digital literacy, self-determination.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i3.202224

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis Prezi pada materi basis data kelas XI Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL) yang telah dikembangkan oleh Rahmatika (2022) dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Number Head Together (NHT) terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian pre- experimental bentuk one grup pretest-posttest dengan melibatkan 39 siswa kelas XI RPL di SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah 20 soal tes pilihan ganda untuk hasil belajar kognitif dan lembar penilaian ujian praktikum untuk hasil belajar psikomotorik. Hasil uji pretest dan posttest menunjukan perbandingan yang signifikan dengan nilai rata-rata nilai pretest 49,74 dan posttest 85,38 dengan rata-rata N-gain 71,62 masuk kategori tinggi. Penelitian ini menunjukan peserta didik memahami materi dan menunjukan hasil belajar pada ranah kognitif dan psikomotorik yang baik.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut guru mampu melaksanakan asesmen autentik yang mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Namun, banyak guru Matematika dan IPA masih kesulitan merancang dan melaksanakan asesmen autentik berbasis HOTS, khususnya dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru khususnya terkait penyusunan dan pengimplementasian asesmen autentik HOTS melalui aplikasi Edpuzzle. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan, praktik penyusunan instrumen asesmen, pendampingan implementasi, dan refleksi hasil. Peserta terdiri atas 30 guru Matematika serta guru IPA (Fisika, Kimia, Biologi) di Lampung Selatan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest, posttest, dan penilaian produk. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang cukup signifikan pada pemahaman dan keterampilan guru, dengan 53% mengalami peningkatan sedang dan 47% peningkatan tinggi berdasarkan nilai N-Gain. Guru mampu merancang soal kontekstual berbasis analisis, evaluasi, dan kreasi, serta mengintegrasikan Edpuzzle untuk asesmen yang lebih interaktif dan efisien. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong perubahan paradigma penilaian menjadi lebih konstruktif dan reflektif, serta memperkuat implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka melalui pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi dan teknologi digital.
