Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to explore and synthesize empirical evidence regarding the influence of work–family conflict, work–life balance, and job satisfaction on nurses’ intention to stay in hospital settings. A narrative review approach was employed, gathering studies from Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar. From an initial pool of 267 articles, 35 met the inclusion criteria, which focused on nurses, hospital-based contexts, and methodological clarity. The findings reveal that work–family conflict negatively affects both work–life balance and job satisfaction, which in turn lowers the intention to stay. Conversely, work–life balance and job satisfaction serve as critical mediators that can buffer the negative impact of role conflict on workforce retention. The review is framed by Role Stress Theory and Social Exchange Theory to explain the dynamic relationships among variables. These findings underscore the importance of organizational support mechanisms, such as flexible work arrangements, performance recognition, and psychological well-being programs, to improve nurses’ motivation and long-term retention. In conclusion, promoting positive work–life interaction and enhancing job satisfaction are essential strategies for sustaining a stable nursing workforce in hospital environments, particularly in high-demand and resource-limited healthcare systems.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aimed to analyze the influence of store image, brand image, and advertising on consumers' purchase intentions and behaviors.Design/Methodology/Approach: Data were collected through an online survey targeting visitors of Ngarsopuro Night Market, using purposive sampling. A total of 200 respondents participated, corresponding with the sample size recommended in previous studies. Moreover, the analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, processed via SmartPLS version 3.Research findings: The results showed that brand image, store image, and advertising significantly impacted purchase intentions. Even though brand image and advertising influenced purchasing behaviors, store image did not have a significant effect. The result also showed that purchase intentions fully mediated the relationship between brand image, store image, advertising, and purchasing behaviors. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) was refined by emphasizing the importance of brand-related attributes over traditional factors like store image, which was found to be insignificant in this context.Practitioners/Policy Implications: The recommendation was to improve the competitiveness of traditional markets in the creative economy by strengthening brand image with local cultural elements, improving store aesthetics, leveraging advertising strategies, and fostering vendor innovation through training and collaborations. Research Limitations/Implications: This study had a limited sample size and used an online survey method. Therefore, it is crucial to expand the geographical scope of the study and combine online surveys with direct interviews to obtain more accurate and detailed information.

Abstract

Abstract : The local game development industry in Indonesia holds significant potential to contribute to the national creative economy. However, despite substantial increases in labor absorption and market size, the sector’s contribution to national GDP and export value remains relatively low compared to other creative sub-sectors, such as fashion. Furthermore, the discrepancy between labor force growth and declining GDP performance raises concerns about productivity and industrial efficiency. This study aims to analyze the internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats (SWOT), that influence the strategic positioning of local game developers. Drawing on qualitative data gathered from key industry informants and validated through a SWOT matrix analysis (IFAS and EFAS), this research formulates strategic recommendations to enhance competitiveness and promote sustainable growth in both domestic and international markets. The findings offer practical insights for stakeholders—including policymakers, industry players, and investors—on how to develop adaptive and proactive strategies to advance Indonesia’s game development sector as a key driver of the creative economy.Abstrak : Industri pengembangan game lokal di Indonesia memiliki potensi yang signifikan untuk berkontribusi pada ekonomi kreatif nasional. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality on patient satisfaction and loyalty, as well as the impact of the length of waiting time for patient transfer from the ER to the inpatient room on the quality of ER services at Karanganyar District Hospital. This research approach employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative aspects. From the qualitative side, data collection was carried out on informants in charge of the ER, and from the quantitative side, data collection was carried out using a purposive sampling technique that collected 93 patient respondents. The findings show that service quality and patient satisfaction have a significant positive effect on loyalty, and service quality also has a significant positive effect on patient satisfaction. The causes of the long transfer of ER patients to the inpatient room at Karanganyar District Hospital include DPJP doctors who are difficult to contact, DPJP doctors who have special requests for patient care in the ER, Bed management systems that have not been running, full inpatient rooms, laboratory results that take a long time for specific examinations, radiology reading results that take a long time because radiology specialist doctors are not on standby on day and night shifts, patient escorts or porters who are challenging to find.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction serves as a critical indicator in evaluating the quality of healthcare service delivery. This study stems from concerns regarding extended waiting times experienced by patients at the Pediatric Polyclinic of Indriati Hospital Boyolali, which are believed to contribute to diminished satisfaction and loyalty among service users. The primary objective of this research is to assess and map the influence of service waiting time and service quality on patient satisfaction, as well as to examine the subsequent impact on patient loyalty toward the healthcare institution. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method, with data analyzed through causal statistical techniques utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). Data were collected via a convenience sampling method, involving 100 respondents who were currently receiving or had recently received services at the Pediatric Polyclinic of Indriati Hospital Boyolali. The findings reveal that both service waiting time and service quality have a significant and positive impact on patient satisfaction. Furthermore, these two variables also directly affect patient loyalty. Importantly, patient satisfaction was found to act as a significant mediating variable, bridging the influence of service waiting time and service quality on loyalty. These results underscore the necessity of enhancing service process efficiency and improving the quality of service interactions as key strategies for building trust and fostering long-term loyalty among hospital service users.

Abstract

Abstract

This research examines entrepreneurial passion (EP) along with the possible outcomes on business performance among MSMEs. Entrepreneurial passion is an important factor that drives business success through the emotional strength that urges individuals to do whatever it takes to achieve their business goals, especially the food and manufacturing MSMEs in Surakarta. The objective of this research is precisely to identify entrepreneurial passion and its impact on business performance through the role of government support (GS) and financial resource availability (FRA). Based on the entrepreneurial identity approach of 180 MSMEs in the small manufacturing and food business sectors in the Surakarta Region, passion as a founder, inventor, or business developer on the impact of their business performance results was identified. The results revealed that EP and GS significantly affected MSME performance. The FRA did not significantly affect the MSME performance. In this case, GS partially mediates the influence of EP on performance, while FRA could not mediate the influence of EP on performance. This research implies that government support has an essential role in fostering an entrepreneurial passion in the context of small businesses that are still in the growth stage. In addition, MSME players need to know their character according to their passions to produce superior performance; this aligns with the personality-job fit theory

Abstract

Zakat management in Indonesia faces significant challenges in achieving efficiency, even though the potential for national zakat is very large per year. The actual collection, which remains below 10% of this potential, indicates that the performance of zakat management institutions both governmental and non-governmental has yet to be optimized. This study aims to measure the efficiency levels of zakat management institutions in Indonesia, identify the factors that influence their efficiency, and analyze the differences in efficiency based on institutional clusters: government, civil society organizations, and corporate-based institutions. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) applied to the audited financial reports of 14 zakat institutions over the period 2019–2023. Input variables included total operational costs, personnel expenses, and total assets, while output variables consisted of the amount of zakat collected and distributed. The findings reveal that not all institutions operate at optimal technical efficiency. Zakat institutions managed by civil society organizations demonstrated the highest efficiency, followed by corporate-based institutions, with government institutions showing the lowest levels of efficiency. The variation in efficiency across clusters is attributed to differences in organizational structure, decision-making flexibility, technological adoption, and community engagement. This study provide critical implications for improving zakat governance and offer strategic insights for policymakers and zakat managers to enhance institutional efficiency and maximize the potential of zakat funds in Indonesia.
