Abstract

Anemia is a serious health problem in pregnant women because red blood cells play an important role in distributing supplements and oxygen for fetal development. Based on WHO data (2019), the number of people in the world who suffer from anemia is more than 2 billion people or 30% of the total population. Pregnant women who experience anemia worldwide reach 41.8%. The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women at the Bungus Community Health Center in 2021 is 36% and is the highest incidence of anemia among all community health centers in Padang City. Among the risk factors that cause iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women are age and parity. This research uses quantitative methods through a cross sectional approach with a sample of 67 pregnant women in the Bungus Community Health Center working area. Random sampling technique proportional simple random sampling and data analysis using tests Chi-Square. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between maternal age (p=0,046) with the incidence of anemia, while parity showed no significant relationship (p=0,119). It is hoped that Bungus Community Health Center officers can increase intensive outreach strategies so that the incidence of anemia in pregnant women can be prevented from an early age.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia is still working hard to overcome the stunting problem. Even though there has been a decline, further efforts are still needed to achieve the national target of 14% in 2024. Prospective brides are one of the target groups in implementing the acceleration of stunting reduction.Pre marital screening or pre-marital examination is a preventive measure that must be taken to prevent health problems for oneself, one's partner, or one's offspring in the future. This research uses quantitative methods with a cross-sectional approach. Random samplingproportional simple random sampling from 11 sub-districts in Jambi City, there were 81 prospective brides and grooms. There is a significant relationship between education (p-value=0.016), knowledge (p-value=0.009), and attitude (p-value=0.026) on the implementation of Pre Marital Screening. While the age variable (p-value=0.279) does not show a significant relationship with the implementation of Pre Marital Screening. Therefore, there needs to be a collaborative effort to improve services to bride and groom, so that implementation Pre Marital Screening is not only considered as one of the pre-marital administrative documents. Keywords: Premarital Screening, Catin, Stunting  ABSTRAK Indonesia hingga kini masih bekerja keras untuk mengatasi masalah stunting.

Abstract

Indonesia was still facing the problem of malnutrition, namely Stunting as a disorder of child growth and development characterized by short stature for their age which impacts the quality of human resources. The causes of stunting are multifactorial and mostly originate from family factors, so efforts to reduce stunting must focus on family empowerment, one of which is the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS). This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to improve clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in the community, namely mothers of toddlers in Kota Karang Village, Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency as part of the implementation of good practices of the Quality Family Village (KB Village). PkM activities were carried out 6 (six) times by providing GERMAS education on PHBS including physical activity, healthy nutritious food, smoking behavior and alcohol consumption, health checks, environmental cleanliness, personal hygiene, and use of family toilets. The analysis results obtained an increase in the average PHBS behavior score of mothers of toddlers before and after the intervention. The highest average value difference is the behavior of healthy nutritious food (5.76) followed by family toilets (4.17), personal hygiene (2.52), environmental cleanliness (1.35), smoking and alcohol consumption behavior (0.94), regular health checks = 0.77 and physical activity = 0.76. These results indicate the influence of GERMAS education intervention on the PHBS behavior of mothers of toddlers
