Abstract

Unmet Need for contraception is a key indicator to measure increased access to reproductive health and a key indicator to improve maternal and child health. In Indonesia, Unmet Need for contraception is the only strategic achievement of the BKKBN that has not been achieved and has an increasing trend from 2019 to 2021. Followed by an increase in unmet need for contraception for three consecutive years in Jambi Province with the highest number of unmet need for contraception in Muaro Regency. Jambi. This study aims to determine the spatial distribution pattern of the incidence of unmet need for contraception in Muaro Jambi Regency in 2019-2021. This research method is an epidemiological study using an ecological study design with a spatial approach. The sample in this study used an aggregate data analysis unit in 155 villages in Muaro Jambi Regency. This research was conducted from March to July 2022. Based on the results of spatial analysis, there is a tendency to increase the unmet need for contraception and there is a positive spatial autocorrelation between villages and there are 33 villages known as hot spot areas which are the main priority in overcoming the unmet need for contraception in Muaro Regency. Abstract

Child health problems are one of the important prospects that must be considered by a country. One of the factors that can cause health problems in children is disease transmission. This problem can be prevented by carrying out complete basic immunization activities for infants and toddlers. This study aims to determine what factors are related to the provision of basic immunization to infants in the working area of ​​the Putri Ayu Health Center, Jambi. This research method is quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was multistage cluster sampling and obtained 84 respondents. The instrument used by the child is a questionnaire. The results showed that the factors related to the provision of basic immunization to infants in the working area of ​​the Putri Ayu Jambi Public Health Center were mother's education (p-value 0.001), family support (p-value 0.007) and the role of health workers (p-value 0.004). In addition, the mother's occupation and mother's knowledge did not have a significant relationship. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between giving basic immunization to infants in the working area of ​​the Putri Ayu Jambi Public Health Center, namely education, family support and the role of health workers.

Abstract

The research "Mixed Method Research on Healthy Reproductive Practices of Young Women in Remote Indigenous Communities of the Anak Dalam Tribe (SAD) along the Trans-Sumatra Road, Jambi Province" research with the type of Quantitative + Qualitative mixed methods research on the population of SAD young women along the Sumatra Cross Road, Jambi Province. The selection of research locations was carried out using multi-take sampling. Data collection, starting with stage I, collected quantitative data, selected using total sampling and analyzed using the SEM test with the Smart PLS application. Phase II collected qualitative data using an ethnographic approach through Focus Group Discussions with youth groups and stakeholders in 9 selected regions/villages. The research results show that there is a significant relationship between economic factors and individual factors, family and socio-cultural factors. Meanwhile, in the qualitative results, young women still do not have good knowledge about the reproductive health of young women.

Abstract

Kesehatan reproduksi remaja merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang penting, masalah yang menonjol pada remaja adalah seksualitas (termasuk hubungan seks dini, kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan dan aborsi), HIV dan AIDS serta penyalahgunaan NAPZA (Narkotika, Alkohol, Psikotropika dan Zat Adiktif lainnya). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh pelaksanaan program pusat informasi dan konseling remaja (PIK-R) terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku TRIAD KRR pada siswa di SMAN 13 Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dan one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel 60 siswa Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Paired-Samples T-Test dan Independent Samples T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan dan perbedaan pengetahuan dan sikap sebelum dan sesudah intervensi materi TRIAD KRR, yaitu dengan nilai p pada variabel pengetahuan dan sikap <0,005. Berdasarkan penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap siswa SMAN 13 Kota Jambi mengenai TRIAD KRR sebelum dan sesudah intervensi diketahui mengalami peningkatan yang sangat baik. Diharapkan siswa menjadi agen perubahan untuk memperluas informasi kepada teman sebaya.

Abstract

The health of mothers and children is of utmost importance in health development in Indonesia, with the aim of reducing rates of infant mortality (IMR) and maternal mortality (MMR). Using the Maternal and child Health Book (KIA) in Antenatal Care services is one of the government’s initiatives. Puskesmas Paal Merah II Jambi City is still low in the utilization of the MCH book 23.4%. The purpose of this study is to identify the variables linked to the utilization of the MCH book among In 2024, pregnant women at Jambi City's Paal Merah II Health Center. This study uses a cross-sectional approach and is quantitative in nature. The population in this study were 407 pregnant women a sample size of 79 respondents. The analysis test used was the chi-square test (95% CI). With a p-value of 1,000, there is no correlation between age and the use of the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) book. With a p-value of 0.337, there is no correlation between education and the use of MCH books. Knowledge and the use of the MCH book are related, as indicated by the p-value of 0.000. The availability of Human Resources (HR) and the use of MCH books are related, as indicated by the p-value of 0.025. A p-value of 1,000 indicates that there is no correlation between the use of the MCH book and individual evaluation.

Abstract

Integrated Antenatal Care (ANC) is a health service for pregnant women based on the 10T standard. The main goal is to reduce the maternal mortality rate (MMR), infant mortality rate (IMR) and the probability of mother and child. In its implementation, midwives play an important role so that the performance of midwives greatly affects the quality of Integrated ANC services. In Jambi City, the coverage of Integrated ANC services at the Puskesmas has not yet reached the minimum service standard target of 100% of KI 97.1%, K4 coverage of 94.9% and K6 of 92.3%. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the performance of midwives in integrated ANC services. This type of research is quantitative with a cros sectional approach. The location of this research was carried out at all Puskesmas in the Jambi City area in November-December 2024. The number of samples was 70 respondents, with the Porpotional random sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between motivation with a p value of 0.032 and institutional  leadership with the performance of midwives in Integrated ANC services with a p value of 0.016, while experience did not have a significant relationship with the performance of midwives in Integrated ANC services with a p value of 0.088.

Abstract

The prevalence of anemia in Indonesian teenagers is still high, namely 32%, or more than 6,000 Indonesian teenagers suffered from anemia. Long-term anemia has an impact during pregnancy, thus affecting the health of the mother and baby. The population of the Anak Dalam Tribe in Jambi Province is 200 thousand people who still live in the forests and around the TNBD forests at risk of experiencing malnutrition, including their teenage daughters, due to socio-economic status factors, limited access to health services, food security, family empowerment, and low levels of knowledge and education. . The research analyzed the effect of local food-based balanced nutrition interventions on Orang Rimbo adolescent girls. Quasi Experimental Design, totaling 70 people. The research results showed that there was significan relationship between dominan food sources consumed (p-value = 0.000) and the type of local food consumed (p-value = 0.007) with balanced nutrition (BMI), as well as the influence of interventions carried out in food processing among young women of the Orang Rimbo people in TNBD (p-value = 0.000). It was concluded that there was an influence of interventions carried out in food processing on young women of the Orang Rimbo people in Bukit Duabelas National Park.

Abstract

Background: Malnutrition in pregnant women is a global health problem that accounts for about 7% of the world's disease burden and contributes to more than 20% of maternal deaths. The WHO estimates that 35–40% of pregnant women in developing countries are at risk of mild to moderate KEK, which leads to an increase in MMR and newborn deaths. Purpose: To analyze the relationship between health services and food intake with chronic energy deficiency (CED) in pregnant women. Method: This study used an analytical observational design with a case-control approach. The sample consisted of 44 people, comprising 11 case samples and 33 control samples. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis. Result: There is a significant relationship between health services (p = 0.000) and food intake (p = 0.001) with chronic energy deficiency in pregnant women. Conclusion: This study concluded that there is a relationship between health services and food intake with chronic energy deficiency in pregnant women in the Kenali Besar Community Health Center area of Jambi City in 2025. Suggestion: Pregnant women are expected to pay more attention to fulfilling their nutritional intake during pregnancy and make optimal use of health services such as regular antenatal care (ANC) visits.
