Abstract

In an organization that requires a lot of work, like a hospital, non-medical logistical management is essential. Hospital services in different sections run smoothly because to logistics management. Frequent stock shortages in storage warehouses are one example of how many hospitals fall short of logistics management standards, which eventually results in hospital losses and no additional implementation evaluation. According to the study's findings, the El Syifa Kuningan public hospital's logistics management implementation is still lacking. Starting with subpar planning, budgeting, procurement that takes too long due to lengthy procedures, storage, distribution, deletion, and monitoring that needs to be reviewed on a regular basis. In order to enhance hospital services, a logistics management evaluation was conducted based on the current issues in order to improve the logistics management procedure for non-medical commodities. Improvements to the logistics management system for non-medical commodities in line with the logistics management cycle are suggested by the research's findings in order to facilitate better implementation.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial management strategy at the Tegal City Medicall Clinic as an effort to increase profitability. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through in-depth interview, observation, and documentation techniques, which are then analyzed with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the financial management of the Medicall Clinic is still running simply without the support of detailed budget formal documents, is more reactive, and relies on predictions of stable routine needs, especially from BPJS Kesehatan cooperation revenue. The main obstacles include fluctuations in income from independent BPJS participants, time-consuming manual financial recording, and incomplete data due to some of the owner's personal funds not being recorded. The strategy of increasing profitability is carried out through improving service quality, expanding patient segments through direct marketing and home care service development, operational cost efficiency, and efforts to separate personal and clinical finances

Abstract

Background: Dental hypnosis is a behavioral management technique that holds potential but is associated with certain challenges in pediatric dentistry. Purpose: This study evaluated the practicality and acceptability of integrating the tell–show–do (TSD) technique with dental hypnosis to manage fear and pain during local anesthesia. Methods: A quasi-experimental study involving 16 children who received behavioral support through TSD and hypnosis prior was conducted. The children were matched for age and sex to form a control group that received only TSD. Fear and pain were assessed using the Facial Image Scale and the Face, Leg, Activity, Cry, Consolability scale, respectively. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann–Whitney U test. Results: The combination of TSD and dental hypnosis significantly reduced fear (p = 0.0028). However, changes in pain perception between groups were not statistically significant (p = 0.113 and p = 0.3272 for fear and pain, respectively). Conclusion: Dental hypnosis combined with TSD is a promising approach for reducing fear and pain in children.

Abstract

Patient Safety Leadership Walkrounds (PSLW) were implemented at Siloam Hospital Bangka to enhance safety culture and incident reporting. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of PSLW on safety culture, the relationship between safety culture and safety-related incident reporting, and the effect of PSLW on safety-related incident reporting. A retrospective longitudinal survey was conducted to measure safety culture at Siloam Hospital Bangka in 2022 and 2024. Data were analyzed quantitatively using the Wilcoxon Rank-Sum test. Incident reports from the same years were compared using the Chi-Square test and correlated with safety culture through descriptive analysis. Safety culture survey scores increased from a composite average of 52% in 2022 to 63% in 2024. The Wilcoxon Rank-Sum test showed significant results for 16 of 34 questions (p<0.05). An increase in incident reporting occurred alongside improvements in safety culture. The number of incident reports rose from 317 in 2022 to 1,623 in 2024. The Chi-Square test demonstrated significant results. PSLW implementation enhanced both safety culture and safety-related incident reporting. Improvements in safety culture coincided with increased incident reporting numbers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of physical and mental workload on the implementation of patient safety at Jannah Hospital, Serang City, with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as a mediator variable. The research method used was quantitative with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 89 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test and path analysis using SmartPLS software. The results showed that physical workload had a negative and significant effect on the implementation of patient safety (p = 0.002; coefficient -0.247). Conversely, mental workload did not show a significant effect on patient safety (p = 0.146; coefficient -0.135). Simultaneously, physical and mental workload influenced patient safety with an R-square value of 0.343. Furthermore, OCB was shown to significantly mediate the relationship between physical workload and patient safety (p = 0.047; coefficient –0.106), but OCB's mediation of the relationship between mental workload and patient safety was not significant (p = 0.280; coefficient –0.079). Based on these findings, the study recommends managing physical and mental workload through stress management programs, establishing a more balanced work schedule, and improving communication and collaboration between nurses. Furthermore, it is important to strengthen a work culture that supports OCB and rewards extra-role behavior. Further research with a larger sample size and additional variables such as organizational support and job satisfaction is recommended to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the influence of workload on patient safety.
