Abstract

Electrical energy is distributed using copper cables as an intermediary, from high to low voltage systems, until it is ready for use. Copper cables were chosen to transfer electrical energy because the material is able to conduct electrons that can move freely. In this research the author used a research methodology type of method. This research used the ADDIE type Research and Development (R&D) method. Addie consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Several test subjects were carried out on light bulbs, 18 W and 36 W AC TL lamps, 60 W AC incandescent lamps, and 8 W AC LED lamps. It was obtained that lamps that could emit light efficiently were TL lamps because TL lamps can operate at high frequencies. Generated by Tesla Coil. From the calculation of the ship's generator fuel, if all the lights use Tesla coils in MT. Long ship, fuel cost savings to Rp. 3,528,263 which should be Rp. 16,691,589 to Rp. 13,163,325. The research results stated that it had not reached the expected value because the ones that could work efficiently were TL lamps because the Tesla coil was only able to work on lamps that had winding components.

Abstract

The shipping industry is closely related to economic growth in various countries. This transportation is very dependent on export and import activities. As the country's economy improves, especially in Asia, the maritime transportation business in Indonesia will also develop. The pattern of sending goods via sea transportation has changed, especially in terms of bulk transportation. which demands modern technology such as automation and intelligent control systems. This research aims to design and develop Android-based spreader control using Arduino Mega 2560 on a floating ship. This project is designed to increase efficiency and ease of operation in the loading and unloading process on ships, which previously still used manual control with a remote control or joystick which had limitations such as limited visibility. In this research, the spreader control system is connected to an Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller via the HC-05 Bluetooth module, allowing the operator to control the spreader via an Android device. Test results show that data is obtained at a distance of 1 to 13 meters, the Android-based spreader control system shows a response time ranging from 1 to 9 seconds, which shows that the system is functioning properly. At a distance of 14 to 19 meters, the response time increases to 18 seconds, indicating quite good system performance. This shows that there is quite significant latency in data transmission. However, the system still managed to carry out spreader control well. At 20 meters, the system failed to respond to the spreader control. This shows that the effective range of this Bluetooth module is below 15 meters. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of automatic control technology in the shipping industry, especially in the use of intelligent control systems integrated with mobile devices.

Abstract

Inside the equipment there are many electronic components such as resistors, transistors, capacitors and so on. When used in the production of electronic equipment, PCBs are very influential in the manufacture of these electronic devices, for example, when there are only a few broken or damaged PCB paths, the electronic device cannot be operated properly. So it is very important in the PCB Quality Check process to check whether there is damage to the PCB or not. Usually in PCB inspection only direct checking is used in the conventional way. Therefore, in this study, the author tries to create and analyze a PCB flaw checking tool with the help of a camera that has a high revolution to replace human vision to make it easier and save costs. The application of this PCB checking tool uses a technology called a laptop and a camera. With these two technologies, Image Processing can be used to detect objects using the OpenCv and Tensorflow libraries. Abstract

Arduino is an electronic kit or open source electronic circuit board which contains the main component, namely a microcontroller chip with the AVR (Alf and Vegard's Risc Processor) type from the Atmel company (Lulu F., et al, 2018 and Setyowinoto et al, 2017). From this research it can be seen how to prevent potential fires on ship box panels, by using an ATMEGA328 microcontroller which can be commanded by a fire sensor or fire sensor and DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor to monitor the ship box panel, which if a fire occurs will be detected directly by The two sensors will send a command to the buzzer and then sound, and the LCD will display information about whether a fire has been detected. In this research, researchers used qualitative research and R&D to understand phenomena in a natural social context. In qualitative research, the researcher analyzes and after that reports the phenomenon in the results of the analysis in the research. Qualitative methods are research to describe and analyze phenomena, events, beliefs, attitudes and social activities individually and in groups. Research and Development (R&D) research method is a research method used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products. From the results of this research, it was found that the temperature and humidity sensor, namely DHT22, can experience changes in temperature and humidity when placed close to a hot tool or medium, with an initial humidity temperature of 61.10% - 62.50% and an initial temperature of 31.90 degrees Celsius, experiencing a drastic change. the humidity temperature figure from the initial 62.50% decreased to 36.80% and the temperature which was initially estimated at 31.90 degrees Celsius rose to 43 degrees Celsius when the soldering tool was very close. Then the fire sensor or Flame Sensor, which if there is no fire, will appear on the LCD screen with the statement "No Fire", but when the fire is lit it will immediately be detected by the fire sensor and send a signal to the buzzer then the buzzer sounds suddenly , Then sends a signal to the LCD which will change the display screen which initially said "No Fire" to "Fire Detected". Based on the results of these tests, this tool is said to be able to work well and accurately.
