Abstract

Problem-solving is essential for individuals to face various challenges in the 21st century. Therefore, problem-solving has become a primary goal in mathematics curricula worldwide. However, despite its importance, problem-solving remains one of the most challenging aspects to grasp in mathematics education. Several studies have shown that appropriate strategies and a positive attitude toward problem-solving can help improve students' problem-solving abilities. In this study, the author will examine the implementation of Pólya's mathematical problem-solving strategy. Additionally, the study will explore students' attitudes toward problem-solving and how these attitudes influence their performance. Finally, the research will assess the combined impact of Pólya's strategy and students' attitudes on their problem-solving abilities. This study employs a qualitative approach using content analysis methods. The results show that the top ten students from one of the best schools in Siak Regency still struggle to solve simple problems. This failure is attributed to inappropriate strategies and a lack of a positive attitude toward problem-solving. The study concludes that mastering problem-solving strategies and fostering a positive attitude are crucial for students to become effective problem solvers. AbstrakPemecahan masalah adalah keterampilan penting yang dibutuhkan individu untuk menghadapi berbagai tantangan di abad ke-21, sehingga menjadi tujuan utama dalam kurikulum matematika di banyak negara. Meskipun penting, aspek ini tetap menjadi bagian yang paling sulit dipahami dalam pendidikan matematika. Penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan bahwa secara terpisah, strategi yang tepat serta sikap positif terhadap pemecahan masalah, dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan strategi Pólya dalam pemecahan masalah matematika. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga akan mengeksplorasi sikap siswa terhadap pemecahan masalah dan bagaimana sikap tersebut mempengaruhi kinerja mereka. Akhirnya, penelitian ini akan menilai dampak gabungan dari strategi Pólya dan sikap siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis konten. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa sepuluh siswa terbaik di salah satu sekolah terkemuka di Kabupaten Siak masih kesulitan menyelesaikan masalah sederhana. Kesulitan ini disebabkan oleh penggunaan strategi yang kurang tepat dan sikap positif yang rendah terhadap pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguasaan strategi pemecahan masalah dan pengembangan sikap positif secara bersamaan sangat penting agar siswa dapat menjadi pemecah masalah yang lebih efektif.Kata Kunci: heuristic pólya; pemecahan masalah matematika; sikap positif.

Abstract

Salah satu isu keluarga yang masih perlu mendapatkan perhatian adalah kekerasan yang masih terjadi pada keluarga, di mana salah satu kelompok yang paling rentan menjadi korban adalah anak. Kekerasan yang terjadi pada keluarga sangatlah beragam yaitu kekerasan fisik, kekerasan psikis, kekerasan seksual, dan kekerasan lainnya. Penelitian ini bermaksud melakukan implementasi program pelatihan pengasuhan positif dalam mencegah kekerasan terhadap anak bagi orang tua di PKBM BNC Ciamis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis metode eksperimen desain pre-experimental dalam bentuk one group pretest-posttest, yaitu penelitian dengan cara memberikan tes awal (pretest), perlakuan (treatment) dan tes akhir (posttest). Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 orang dengan sasaran orang tua yang memiliki anak usia 0-7 tahun yang berada di PKBM Bumi Nurani Camp Ciamis. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yakni menggunakan tes. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan uji-t (t-test) pengukuran berulang. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pelatihan pengasuhan positif yang dilaksanakan di PKBM BNC Ciamis efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua tentang pencegahan kekerasan terhadap anak.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to conduct a comprehensive review of research on “Micro-credentials in higher education” by doing a bibliometric analysis of 85 journal articles published between 2015 and 2023, obtained from the Scopus database. This study focuses on quantifying the number of publications and citations, as well as examining subject areas, connections, universities, countries, and identifying the most productive and prominent researchers. Apart from that, this research also identifies research topics that researchers have been working on in recent years. The findings show that publications and citations have increased in the last three years. The United States, Australia, and Canada are the most productive countries on this topic. T. J. Newby is the most productive researcher, while the most influential writer is D. -K. Mah. TechTrends and The International Journal of Information and Learning Technology are the journals that publish the most research. The university that made the top contribution was Purdue University (United States). The results of data analysis show that collaboration between authors researching “Micro-credentials in higher education” still needs improvement. This research contributes as a basis for further research in enriching and developing knowledge about micro-credentials, especially in higher education.

Abstract

The German vocational education system has developed steadily over centuries and is recognized as a global reference in providing vocational education. This study compares the agricultural curriculum with agronomy concentration in vocational high schools in Indonesia with the vocational education system in Germany. The study is expected to be able to offer strategic recommendations for the development of agricultural vocational education in Indonesia, provide strategic insights for the development of a more relevant agricultural vocational high school curriculum, and be able to create promising career opportunities in agriculture. This study uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis design on the documents that are the primary analysis sources. The results show that Germany excels in integrating theory, practice, technology, and industry involvement through an intensive Duale Ausbildung system. The longer duration of education and the use of advanced technologies such as smart farming make Germany more prepared to face the industrial era 4.0. In contrast, Indonesia is starting to move towards innovation with a project-based learning approach, but industry involvement and recognition of competency certification are still limited. The study's conclusion shows that although the Indonesian agronomy curriculum has approached international standards, strengthening industrial partnerships, modern technology, and global certification recognition need to be improved to increase the competitiveness of graduates in the global market.

Abstract

The base of the research are the facts that show weak character on students, it causes various problems such as violence in school, porn, drugs, free sex, student brawls and also various social problems in the community. This study aims to review the implementation of character-based curriculum to improve akhlakul karimah. This study uses qualitative approach and case study method. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interwiew, and document study. The result of the study shows the planning of character-based curriculum to improve akhlakul karimah of the students in Alam Elementary School Bandung are: program planning, planning based on KTSP planning, develop learning program based on school’s vision, mission, and goals in accordance with the philosophy of Alam Elementary School. This study uses both direct and indirect learning for its learning implementation. Classroom management which centered on students by using various approach are: contextual learning, learning by doing, inquiry and also incidental based on the students’ mood. The use of nature as the laboratory is the students learn to blend directly with the nature and the nature as the media and study resources. The implementation of learning process includes preliminary activities, main activities, and closing activities. The evaluation is done comprehensively which is provided in the report (groovy report), narrative reports, and number reports. Akhlakul karimah evaluation is done by daily monitoring. Lessons evaluation is carried out through formative evaluation and summative evaluation. Formative evaluation is carried out through exercises.

Abstract

Parents need to understand how important it is to provide proper treatment in dealing with children with autism. The effort is with an intervention approach technique, but some parents often experience difficulties in making intervention efforts. One solution to the problem that can be done is by establishing the Independent Intervention Program Online Training (PIM). This study aims to prove that the Independent Intervention Program Online Training or PIM is an effective way to empower parents in dealing with children with autism. The research was conducted through field trials involving 11 parents of children with autism from a number of cities in Indonesia. Subjects were provided PIM Online Training by platforms such as Zoom, Website, and WhatsApp. Training effectiveness data is seen from the results of the subject's self-evaluation before and after training. The results showed that after participating in the PIM Online Training, parents saw themselves better in understanding the concept of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), social skills, intervention, and individual intervention programs, as well as skills in designing intervention programs for children with disabilities. autism, compared to pre-training conditions. Based on these results, PIM Online Training is expected to be the right solution to empower parents in designing social skills intervention programs for children with autism, without limitation of time, place and cost.

Abstract

This article discusses the presence of information technology and the demand for libraries to adapt it to their operational activities, including services for users. The purpose of this study was to find out how far the utilization of information technology in the SMAN 2 Cimahi Library, both for library operational activities, for assisting the librarians’ work, as well as to find out the availability of facilities and services related to information technology for the library users. This research was conducted based on the reasons why monitoring and evaluation activities need to be carried out so that the library is able to know how successful its program performance is and to find out the follow-up actions and decisions that need to be made. The researcher used observation and interview methods with a descriptive qualitative approach. Based on the research activities, it is known that the SMAN 2 Cimahi Library has tried to adapt various kinds of information technology well to provide maximum service to the users and help librarians in doing their work. This is portrayed by the availability and utilization of various information technology devices such as computers, internet access, barcodes, automation software, and even availability of televisions and multimedia areas.   Abstrak Artikel ini membahas tentang kehadiran teknologi informasi serta tuntutan bagi perpustakaan untuk mengadaptasinya dalam kegiatan operasional termasuk dalam pelayanan kepada pemustaka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemanfaatan teknologi informasi di Perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi, baik itu untuk kegiatan operasional perpustakaan maupun pemanfaatannya untuk membantu pekerjaan pustakawan, serta untuk mengetahui sejauh mana ketersediaan fasilitas dan layanan yang berkaitan dengan teknologi informasi untuk para pemustaka. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan alasan mengapa kegiatan monitoring dan evaluasi perlu dilaksanakan, sehingga perpustakaan dapat mengetahui sejauh mana keberhasilan pelaksanaan programnya serta mengetahui tindak lanjut serta keputusan yang perlu dibuat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi dan wawancara dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Berdasarkan kegiatan penelitian, diketahui bahwasannya Perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi sudah berupaya mengadaptasi berbagai macam teknologi informasi dengan baik untuk memberikan pelayanan yang maksimal terhadap para pemustaka serta membantu pustakawan dalam melakukan pekerjaannya. Hal tersebut tergambar dari ketersediaan dan pemanfaatan berbagai perangkat teknologi informasi seperti komputer, akses internet, barcode, perangkat lunak otomasi, bahkan ketersediaan televisi dan area multimedia. Abstract

The advancement of virtual reality technology, such as metaverse, has attracted attention as a transformative innovation. This study was motivated by the lack of in-depth understanding of the use of virtual technology by students and their perceptions of the learning experience through the Spatial.io platform. The Spatial.io platform offers new opportunities to improve the quality of online learning in higher education. The Educational Technology Study Program developed a virtual learning space using the Spatial.io 3D metaverse platform. This study aims to explore students' perceptions of virtual learning through the platform and understand how to utilize this innovative learning space for academic purposes. A quantitative descriptive approach with a survey research design was used in this study, involving 82 students. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire that measured six aspects of students' perceptions of immersive learning, namely Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Satisfaction (PS), Interactivity (INT), Virtual Environment (VE), and Learning Experience (LE). Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results showed that students positively perceived virtual learning through the Spatial.io 3D Metaverse platform. These findings underscore the technology's enormous potential in improving the quality of online learning, particularly in higher education.

Abstract

Upaya pelestarian bahasa daerah dalam kurikulum perlu mendapat perhatian serius dalam kebijakan pendidikan di berbagai negara saat ini termasuk kebijakan pendidikan di Indonesia dan India sebagai negara multikultural. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan kurikulum India dan kurikulum Indonesia dalam mendukung pelestarian bahasa daerah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Sumber data utama dengan memanfaatkan berbagai dokumen kurikulum dari kedua negara. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka analisis konten yang mencakup enam tahapan yaitu Mengidentifikasi unit analisis, pengambilan sampel, pencatatan atau pengkodean, reduksi data, menarik kesimpulan, dan menyusun narasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum India mengadopsi formula tiga bahasa yang terstruktur, sehingga berhasil meningkatkan literasi bahasa daerah melalui pendekatan yang terstandar. Sementara Kurikulum di Indonesia menawarkan fleksibilitas tinggi yang memungkinkan adaptasi lokal dalam penyusunan materi dan metode pembelajaran berbasis budaya. Namun fleksibilitas tersebut juga menjadi tantangan dalam memastikan konsistensi dan kualitas implementasi di seluruh wilayah. Kesimpulan, upaya pelestarian bahasa daerah diakomodasi dalam kurikulum India dengan kebijakan tiga bahasa yang terstruktur, sementara pada kurikulum Indonesia diakomodasi dengan mengandalkan fleksibilitas lokal yang menghadirkan peluang adaptasi sekaligus tantangan konsistensi pelaksanaan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of curriculum components that include objectives, content, learning strategies, and evaluation in the context of vocational education in Vocational High Schools (SMK), and examine their relevance to industry standards. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a collective case study method at three private vocational schools in Medan. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed interactively based on the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that there are integrative efforts from each school, but they are not yet fully aligned with industry needs. The main obstacles lie in the lack of ongoing collaboration with industry as well as limitations in adopting technology and evidence-based curriculum updates. This research emphasizes the importance of synergy between educational institutions, government, and the industry sector in designing and implementing a vocational curriculum that is contextual and responsive to changes in technology and the job market.
