Abstract

This study aimed to determine the parents' parenting style during online learning during the pandemic in Plangitan Pati village. The results of this study indicated that the parents applied a democratic parenting style to educate, give attention, provide family affection, and encourage learning to their children. They provided positive things for children during online learning so that children did not feel bored. The children did not feel that they had many difficult tasks. Parents always provided a good way for children not to get bored easily in learning. Online learning made children feel like they had a daily task and many responsibilities for their tasks. As a result, children felt bored more than enthusiastic about learning. Based on this study results, only one child was delighted and faced no difficulty in online learning because it used WhatsApp, classroom, and zoom applications

Abstract

This study examined the social values contained in the film Tanah Surga Katanya. Social values refer to community beliefs about what is considered good and useful in life and are reflected in daily behavior. The purpose of this study was to foster children’s social values through the film Tanah Surga Katanya. This research employed a qualitative method, with the film itself serving as the object of study. Data were collected through observation and documentation. The data were analyzed using content analysis, which involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to find, identify, process, and analyze the documents. The results showed that the film contained eight social values: (1) love for the homeland, (2) pride in the Indonesian nation, (3) mutual assistance, (4) mutual cooperation, (5) compassion, (6) dedication, (7) responsibility, and (8) care.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the parenting styles of working parents on shaping children’s honesty. This research used a qualitative approach and the type of case study research conducted at grade V SDN 3 Mayonglor, Kecamatan Mayong, Kabupaten Jepara. The respondents were students, their parents from several different occupations, and teachers. The data were collected thorugh unstructured observation, unstructured interview, and documentation. The data analysis used was descriptive qualitative data analysis. Based on the results of research, it was found that: 1) the parenting style in families with different types of work included: democratic and authoritarian. Whereas, with the regard to students’ moral, the researcher focused on honesty. It was found that the children’s honesty still needed to be improved. Thus, it was suggested for parents to provide appropriate parenting styles for the children to shape and improve the honesty for their children.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop pantomime textbooks as an alternative source of learning performing arts for children in elementary schools and to determine its feasibility. The research method was R&D referring to Borg and Gall’s theory which was modified into 7 steps. The product of the study was a textbook entitled “Pantomim Asyik ala Kak Prop.” The score of validity test from material experts was 56, with an average of 3.5 and a percentage of 88% in very good category. Then, the score of validity test from a linguist was 27, with an average of 3.4 and a percentage of 84% in very good category. Moreover, the results of limited product trials through the teachers’ response questionnaire found a score of 572, with an average of 3.6 and a percentage of 89.4% in very feasible category. Meanwhile, the students’ response questionnaire found a score of 565, with an average of 3.5 and a percentage of 88.3% in very feasible category. It was concluded that the pantomime textbook was very suitable to be used as an alternative source of learning performing arts for children in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop literacy of illustrated story based on android e-book and find out the improvement of students’ reading interest on the theme of love plant and animals, sub-one the benefits of plants on human life, especially in the third grade of elementary school Terangmas Undaan Kudus. The final product was in form of learning media. The resarch method used was media development with a qualitative approach, Quasi Experimental Design and Nonequivalent Control Group design. This research was conducted at Terangmas Elementary School as the experimental class and Medini elementary school as the control class. The findings showed that the sig. Levene's Test for Equality of Variances of 0.206 because the significance was more than 0.05 or can be served 0.206 < 0.05. Then it can be concluded that data varians between experimental groups and control groups were equally homogeneous. Then based on the table above, it also was known that value sig.(2 tailed) t-test for Equality of Means of 0.000 < 0.005. The results concluded that H0 was rejected and Ha was received. Therefore, there were significant differences between the average reading interests of experimental class and control class.

Abstract

Speech sound disorders (SSD) in early childhood hinder communicative and social aspects. Conventional, repetitive teaching methods often fail because they ignore the cultural context and emotional involvement of children. This approach places ethno literacy as the main framework of intervention which is operationalized through the unplugged coding maze media in stimulating articulation. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design on seven children aged 4-5 years with mild SSD criteria at TK Muslimat NU Nawa Kartika, Kudus Regency. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model with triangulation of sources and techniques and member checking. The results of the study showed an average increase in phoneme accuracy of 30.5%. Within the framework of ethno literacy, the use of cultural narratives operationalized through the unplugged coding maze media has been proven to reduce speaking anxiety and increase children's intrinsic motivation. In contrast to conventional speech therapy methods that emphasize repetition exercises, this approach integrates computational thinking and culturally based neurolinguistic stimulation, thereby accelerating the phonological encoding process. The novelty of this research lies in the use of ethno literacy as the main framework of intervention, with unplugged coding maze as a mediation medium in stimulating early childhood articulation. These findings provide implications in the form of a holistic and contextual language intervention model for early childhood educators.

Abstract

The difficulty of accessing visual literacy learning for people with visual sensory disabilities is a major challenge that must be addressed. This challenge presents other problems, such as a lack of ability to understand the main idea and important information in a text. Inclusive and innovative learning with appropriate learning strategies is highly necessary for visually impaired individuals. This research develops and tests the effectiveness of audio-kinesthetic-based inclusive learning media with local wisdom content. This is intended as a means of improving reading literacy skills for visually impaired individuals, implemented at the Social Service Home for the Visually Impaired (PPSDSN) Pendowo, Kudus Regency. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study research design was chosen to gain a deeper understanding of the application of audio-kinesthetic media based on local wisdom in a natural context. The research results show an 85% increase in information comprehension and the ability to retell the content of the reading among participants. The integration of local cultural elements into audio-kinesthetic media, namely folk tales, gamelan rhythms, and simple kinaesthetic movements, was able to increase attention, active engagement, and the ability to understand main ideas in visually impaired participants. These results indicate that audio-kinesthetic media loaded with local wisdom can strengthen emotional bonds, social communication, and functional literacy skills in visually impaired individuals.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of the life experiences of individuals with visual sensory disabilities in religious poetry through Roland Barthes’ semiotic framework. The research aims to identify (1) denotative meanings, (2) connotative meanings, and (3) myths embedded in the poems. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a narrative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at the Pendowo Social Service Center for Visual Sensory Disabilities (PPSDSN) in Kudus Regency. The data consist of words, symbols, and expressions found in religious poems written by individuals with visual sensory disabilities. Data analysis was conducted using heuristic and hermeneutic techniques. The findings reveal that denotative meanings reflect everyday experiences, emotional relationships, and expressions of gratitude. Connotative meanings uncover deeper symbolic interpretations related to faith, resilience, hope, and spiritual dependence. Meanwhile, the myths identified represent broader socio-cultural ideologies, including divine love as a source of strength, the acceptance of limitations, and spirituality as a means of overcoming loneliness and social marginalization. The novelty of this study lies in applying Barthes’ semiotic analysis to disability literature, particularly religious poetry, which remains underexplored. This research contributes to expanding literary studies on disability by highlighting poetry as a medium of spiritual expression and social representation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model Teams Games Tournament dengan media Unos. Penerapan model Teams Games Tournament bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dua siklus, setiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Geritan. Melalui model Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media unos dari hasil penelitian tindakan kelas telah menunjukkan bahwa penelitian tersebut dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari terpenuhinya indikator keberhasilan sebagai berikut. Peningkatan hasil belajar ranah sikap pada siklus I sebesar 66% di siklus II meningkat sebesar 77%, peningkatan hasil belajar ranah keterampilan di siklus I sebesar 67%  di siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 78%. Sedangkan peningkatan hasil belajar ranah pengetahuan pada siklus I muatan Bahasa Indonesia 74% muatan PPKn sebesar 74% pada siklus II muatan Bahasa Indonesia mencapai 85% muatan PPKn meningkat sebesar 81%

Abstract

From the observation activities of the Field Study and Community Service (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) 112 team in Jembulwunut village, they obtained data that the majority of people work as farmers, however they find it difficult to obtain fertilizer, practicing how to make Eco-enzyme organic fertilizer with Village-Owned Enterprise (Badan Usaha Milik Desa) Jembulwunut to support agricultural development, particularly reducing environmental pollution of agricultural land because of the materials used are organic waste such as vegetable and fruit waste that cannot be consumed anymore, it has high nutrient elements to maintain soil fertility and as a substitute for synthetic chemical fertilizers which are difficult to obtain and whose prices are getting higher every year.
