Abstract

The Mining Industry is one of the pillars of national economic development. In this industry, heavy equipment plays an important role in the coal mining process in Indonesia. By using heavy equipment must be well structured, so that the project can run easily without any obstacles. This research aimed to evaluate the cause of the low-value OEE of the Excavator Hitachi EX2500-6 of EX157 and EX158 units and determine the way to repair so that the equipment performance can be improved. This research uses descriptive quantitative approach with value analysis methods Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The result of OEE values were analyzed using losses classification method so that the occurrence of loss factors can be found and root cause analysis performance using a causal diagram/fishbone diagram and then make any improvement recommendations that can be done by using 5W1H analysis. Based on the research results, the OEE values of two excavators were calculated and were compared with the benchmark values. The values of OEE were found to be 84% for EX157 units and 68% for EX158 units. The low value of OEE on EX158 caused by unscheduled maintenance time losses amounting to 1188.3 hours. The high of time loss is influenced by trouble on Machine Frame, Structure, Body, and Cab components amounted to 60.9%. The root causes of the losses derived from the availability of external mechanics, the competence of mechanics, the availability of spare parts, and the implementation of condition monitoring was not optimal. While remedial steps can be taken by giving technical training program for mechanics as maintenance practice methodology.

Abstract

This study systematically synthesizes empirical evidence on the roles of work–life balance (WLB) and skills development in shaping sustainable employee engagement in hospital settings, with particular attention to healthcare contexts in developing countries, especially Asia. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines as a reporting framework. Relevant studies were identified through comprehensive searches of major international databases, including Scopus, ScienceDirect, Springer, Wiley, Sage, IEEE, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. From an initial pool of 7,394 articles, a systematic screening and eligibility process resulted in 124 peer-reviewed empirical studies included in the final synthesis. The findings indicate that work–life balance is consistently associated with reduced stress and burnout, improved psychological well-being, and sustained employee engagement among healthcare workers. Skills development—particularly through training, upskilling, reskilling, and digital-based learning—emerges as a key mechanism for strengthening competence, motivation, and workforce adaptability. The review further reveals that studies simultaneously examining both variables remain limited, indicating a fragmented research landscape. Organizational factors such as leadership support, organizational culture, and digital readiness, together with individual resilience and intrinsic motivation, frequently moderate or mediate these relationships.Rather than estimating effect sizes, this SLR provides a conceptual synthesis that consolidates fragmented findings and highlights research gaps, including the dominance of cross-sectional designs and the need for more integrative and longitudinal studies. Practically, the results underscore the importance of aligning work–life balance initiatives with continuous skills development to foster sustainable employee engagement in healthcare organizations.

Abstract

The digital transformation in the healthcare sector, often referred to as the "virtual care revolution," has shifted the paradigm of healthcare delivery globally. Digital services such as telemedicine, health information systems, and mobile applications are no longer simply supporting infrastructure but have become strategic assets that are transforming the organizational structure and innovation models in primary healthcare facilities such as community health centers (Puskesmas). This study aims to synthesize existing literature through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to explore how digital services change work dynamics in Community Health Centers or the health sector in general, both from a managerial and operational staff perspective. This SLR method was conducted by analyzing various case studies and quantitative and qualitative research related to the adoption of health technology in various countries. The analysis focused on changes in management competencies, staff work patterns, and the psychosocial impacts of the digital workplace. The findings of the review show that digital services change work dynamics in four main aspects , namely Managerial Competence, namely Health managers now play a vital role in designing, implementing, and guiding digital services, which requires informatics competencies and digital leadership beyond traditional clinical skills. Task - shifting is the implementation of digital platforms enabling substantial task shifting, where triage nurses and non-physician staff take on a greater role in initial consultations and patient management through algorithm support, significantly reducing the workload of general practitioners . Staff Performance and Well-Being: Effective use of information systems has been found to strengthen the relationship between work-life balance and healthcare worker performance by reducing administrative burdens and speeding up documentation . However, challenges such as “techno-stress” and blurred work boundaries have also emerged as new risks. Patient-Staff Interactions: Lack of digital literacy among vulnerable groups (such as the elderly) creates new work dynamics for healthcare staff who must provide additional support or training to patients to ensure effective use of technology. The conclusion is that digital services have fundamentally changed the dynamics of healthcare work, moving from a conventional clinic-centric model to a more efficient, data-driven, and patient-centered one. Long-term success requires a systematic approach that integrates staff digital skills training with robust organizational support policies .
