Abstract

In the end of 2008, Bank Indonesia reported that Islamic Banking has grown as much as 40 % over Conventional Bank which has only 14 %. Islamic Banking has to solve the problems to maintain the stability of the growth so as it can achieve the market share target as much as 5 % per year. The problems faced are human resource, technology,and networking which are all sharia based. This research attemps to discribe the growth of human resources that is considered as undefined added value which is Intellectual capital (Mouritsen,2001) and optimalized it. It is caused by the huge gap between market value and book value disclosured by Enterprises. This problem is caused by the failure of the Enterprises in reporting their hidden value in the annual report (Brennan, 2001).Based on the library research that has been done, it is inferred that there are three categories of Intellectual Capital that have to be known by the Islamic Banking Stakeholder. The categories are human capital, relational capital and structural capital. Optimalizing Intellectual capital by developing Islamic human resources who have four competencies. The Competencies are Main competency, Behaviour Competency, Funtional competency and managerial competency.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility is an obligation of a company. BRI Syariah as one of Islamic Financial Institution carries out the social responsibility program.This research aims at finding out the implementation of CSR program at BRISyariah using the perspective of Maqashidsyariah. Based on the categorization and qualification, the indicators measurement which get along with sharia principles are finally invented.The research was conducted at the unit of CSR of BRISyariah head office so that the data cover all of thr implementation of CSR BRISyariah all over Indonesia. The method used was mixed methods research. The quantitative method was used for measuring the CSR program of BRISyariah which was categorized in the component of maqoshidsyariah and qualitative method was used for processing the data from the interview, observation, and literary review proposed to the manager of CSR BRISyariah. The result of the research indicates that the implementation of CSR at BRISyariah is relevant with al maqashidasysyariah. It is proven in thefive main components of maqashid al syariah, which are 1) the protection of the Faith/religion, 2) the protection of life/human soul, 3) the protection of mind /intellect, 4) the protection of wealth, 5) The protection of lineage. While based on the measurement of maqashid al syariah to the CSR at BRISyariah it is known that the indicators of program according to maqashid syariah was the protection of human soul in 2012 with the total number of 30 activities spending 941.305.000 rupiah. The percentageof funding fistribution of CSR was 46% and in 2013 there were 52 activities with the total funding of 985.870.000, the percentage of funding distribution was 50 %.

Abstract

This study aims at finding out the effectiveness of promotion mix strategy to introduce a saving product with the intention of ?mudharabah muthiaqah? at BNI Syatiah of Bekasi branch. In this study, the problems are identified as: first, how effective the promotion mix strategy is to be used to introduce a saving product with the intention of ?mudharabah muthiaqab' and second: what kind of promotion mix method is the most effective to introduce a saving product with the intention of 'mudharabah muthiaqah  at BNI Syatiah of Bekasi branch. The study employed mixed method or a combination between qualitative and quantitative approaches using concurrent embedded method. The study aims at describing the concept and mechanism of doing the most effective promotional strategy applied by BNI Syatiah of Bekasi branch in the year of2011-2012. For the qualitative approach, the instrument used was the writer himself, while the qualitative data was gained from questionnaires. The research result shows that the use of promotion mix strategy to to introduce a saving product with the intention of ?mudharabah muthiaqah ? at BNI Syariab of Bekasi branch was effective with the increase of account number of48.64% in 2012. However, the most effective promotion was ?word of mouth" with the indication of80% gained Jwm the questionnaires

Abstract

The understanding of traditional communities about waqf is very limited, traditional paradigm only know that waqf is only in the form of fixed assets such as land and buildings. Over time cash waqf emerged. But there are still many traditional paradigm who do not know and disagree about cash waqf. Education is a very important factor to create the character of a nation. Educational Waqf is an important instrument in the development of Islamic community education. Therefore, waqf is needed for the Islamic education sector. This research seek disclosure how the management of waqf for education in Indonesia and Malaysia is able to present a perspective and model that can be used as a reference for the management of waqf in optimalizing education sector using comparative descriptive methods. The results of this study are optimization of the education sector waqf by making professional waqf management institutions, optimizing existing assets by involving stakeholders and requiring the role of government in the collection and management of waqf.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world of its 240 million people,88.2% are Muslims. Islamic banks exist because of the public's need for alternative transactions thatare interest-free. However, the growth of Islamic banks in Indonesia is still not optimal, one of thefactors is that people are still not enthusiastic about Islamic banks and the lack of intention of thepeople to become customers of Islamic banks. There are several factors that affect the intention interms of planned behavior theory, namely attitudes, subjective norms and perceptions of behaviorcontrol. So the research aims to determine the effect of attitudes, subjective norms and perceptionsof behavioral control on the intention of the people of Bekasi city to become customers in Islamicbanks. The research method uses multiple linear regression analysis. The data used are the results ofquestionnaires distributed to 12 districts in the city of Bekasi. The sample consisted of 132 people inBekasi city who were taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data were tested partially andsimultaneously. The data is processed using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) version22. The results of this study show partially that attitude variables have a positive and significant effect,subjective norm variables have a positive and significant effect, behavioral control perceptions have apositive but insignificant effect on intention to become a customer. Islamic Bank. Meanwhile, attitudes,subjective norms and perceived behavioral control simultaneously have a significant positive effect onthe intention to become a customer of Islamic banks. Future research is expected to expand the scopeof research, add variables and other factors and extend the research period.

Abstract

The main activity of the bank is the provision of services. Banks as financial institutions engagedin services, must be able to provide the best service (Service Excellence) in order to win competitionin increasingly competitive situations. Frontliners are officers who are in front of the banking hallthat face directly to customers. This study aims to analyze how much influence the quality of serviceFrontliner (Customer Service, Teller, Security) on the growth of third party funds. In this studyusing primary and secondary data obtained from the official website of Bank Syariah Mandiri andquestionnaires distributed to respondents. The method used is a quantitative method. The results ofthis study show partially that the quality of frontline service (Customer Service, Teller, Security) hasa positive effect on third party funds. While simultaneously the quality of Customer Service services,Teller service quality, security service quality has a significant positive effect on the growth of thirdparty funds. Future research is expected to expand the scope of research or compare variables andother factors.

Abstract

This study analyzes the comparison of people's perceptions of Islamic Banks and ConventionalBanks.This research is a qualitative research based on the philosophy of postpositivism, used toexamine natural conditions, as opposed to an experiment where the researcher is the key instrument,the data collection technique is carried out in a combination of inductive or qualitative triangulationanalysis, and the results of qualitative research emphasize the meaning. than generalizations. Throughqualitative research, the author explains and describes the comparison of people's perceptions aboutIslamic banks and conventional banks as they are based on data and facts obtained at the time of theresearch. Researchers can also analyze to find out the meaning and implications of the problem understudy, namely a comparative analysis of public perceptions about Islamic banks and conventionalbanks in Telaga Murni Housing Rt.001 Rw.005 Cikarang Barat District Bekasi Regency. Based on theresults of interview research regarding public perceptions of Islamic banks and conventional banks,of the 10 respondents, there were 9 who were considered good and understood and used Islamicbanking services and 1 respondent was considered quite good and understood Islamic banks. Thereare 10 respondents who are considered good, understand and use conventional bank services, andare familiar with conventional banks. Meanwhile, 1 respondent did not yet have an account at anIslamic bank and a conventional bank, but the respondent knew and understood Islamic banks andconventional banks.

Abstract

The Effect of Training and Human Resources Development Programs on the Improvement of theCapability and Performance of the Employees of PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri. The purpose of this studywas to analyze how much influence the variables of the training and development program on thevariable of employee capacity improvement partially or individually and which variable had the mostinfluence on PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri, to analyze how much influence the training and developmentprogram variables have on the combined ability of employees at PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri, to analyzehow much influence the training, development and capacity improvement variables have on employeeperformance variables at PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri, to analyze how much influence the trainingand development variables have on employee performance variables through capacity building atPT. Bank Syariah Mandiri. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with a two-pathequation approach. The object of research chosen in this study is PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri. The typeof data used is primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques are done by questionnaire andobservation. The instrument used in this study was the Likert scale. The research variables use theconcept of independent variables namely training and development and the concept of the dependentvariable is the increase in employee ability and performance. The results of this study indicate thatthe training and development variables partially or individually to increase ability have a significanteffect. Of the two variables, the biggest influence is the development variable. The training anddevelopment variables combined to increase ability have a significant effect. And the influence of othervariables outside the model is 0.561. On the training variable, development, combined capabilityimprovement on employee performance has a significant effect. And the influence of other variablesoutside the model is 0.258.

Abstract

Service quality is the level of excellence expected and control over that excellence is to fulfillcustomer desires. In the service industry such as Islamic banking, service has an important role ingenerating a sense of satisfaction for customers. Customer satisfaction is related to what is expressedby customers about their perceptions and expectations of the services obtained. Customer satisfactioncan also create long-term customer trust that makes customers loyal to the company. This study aimsto analyze the effect of service quality and corporate image on loyalty through customer satisfactionas an intervening variable at Bank BNI Syariah Bekasi Branch. The population used in this studyis Bank BNI Syariah Bekasi Branch. The sample in this study was taken based on the population ofcustomers who save at BNI Syariah at the Bekasi Branch Office as many as 100 respondents. Theanalysis technique in this study is path analysis, which aims to calculate the influence of one or moreindependent variables on other dependent variables. The results showed that the value of servicequality has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, company image has a positiveeffect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, service quality and company image have a positive effecton customer satisfaction simultaneously. Then customer satisfaction affects customer loyalty.

Abstract

Leadership is an inherent ability in a person who leads and depends on various factors, both internal and external factors. Currently the problem of leadership is an urgent problem so that the phenomenon of a leadership crisis that occurs as a result of a crisis of confidence has emerged. One solution that can be put forward is to create capable individuals to become leaders. The method used in carrying out this activity is to conduct training for student council in building leadership in an organization. The Leadership Management Training Program (Leadership) in Organizations that has been implemented is a training where members of the Organization, especially the Intra School Student Organization (OSIS) at SMPN 18 Bekasi City can acquire and learn attitudes, abilities, expertise, specific behavioral knowledge related to organization and management leadership. This training is a series of activities designed to increase the skills, knowledge, experience, or changes in the attitudes of members of the Organization
