The location of this research was West Kalimantan Province Indonesia. The primary data collection technique involved in-depth interviews with 5 child victims of sexual violence as well as focus group discussions with the child protection commission, Rumah AMAN managers, literacy activist, and the parents of the child victims. Subsequently, the research results indicated an increase in cases of sexual violence against children in various forms, such as pornography, prostitution, and sex addiction. The second finding concerned efforts to prevent sexual violence by the West Kalimantan provincial government. This involved the issuance of policies and the provision of education and sensitization through social media via the Indonesian Anti-Defamation Society (MAFINDO). In order to deal with child victims of violence, the government established the Regional Child Protection Commission (KPAD) in collaboration with Rumah AMAN. The third finding discussed the impact of sex crimes on children, namely sex addiction, sexually transmitted infections, an increase in the number of abortions, and damage to mental health. The fourth finding was conducting media literacy education, fostering the blocking of pornographic sites, and providing shelter through the Penta helix strategy by the draft government, society, and community (MAFINDO). Consequently, this research can provide knowledge about the handling tactic and strategy that can be used to deal with cases of child sex crimes.lence as well as focus group discussions with the child protection commission, Rumah AMAN managers, literacy activist, and the parents of the child victims. Abstract

The incidence of sexual violence is on the rise, impacting both adults and children, posing a significant societal threat. Rooted in power dynamics, this violence extends beyond educational campuses to various societal contexts. This study endeavors to investigate the influence of power dynamics on sexual violence. Utilizing normative legal research techniques and surveys, the study aims to yield insightful conclusions. It is evident that power dynamics often culminate in violent acts. Sexual violence within educational institutions has profound repercussions for both victims and the institutions themselves. Furthermore, power imbalances exacerbate the trauma experienced by victims. Implementing stringent regulations is essential for prosecuting perpetrators of sexual violence. Ultimately, this contributes to enhancing legal awareness regarding power dynamics in the context of sexual violence, fostering a safer environment for all individuals.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Indonesia's diplomacy as a majority Muslim democratic country in responding to human rights violations in Myanmar. The conflict in Myanmar, particularly concerning the treatment of the Muslim Rohingya minority, has raised international concerns. As a country with the largest Muslim population in the world and a strong democratic tradition, Indonesia plays a crucial role in responding to this situation. The research methodology employed in this study is the analysis of Indonesia's foreign policy towards Myanmar and human rights violations in that country. Data were obtained through document studies, including official government statements, political speeches, and relevant news sources. The research findings indicate that Indonesia has taken several steps in responding to human rights violations in Myanmar. The Indonesian government consistently condemns the acts of violence and human rights abuses occurring in Myanmar, including the treatment of the Rohingya. Indonesia has also utilized international forums, such as the United Nations (UN) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to advocate for human rights in Myanmar. However, this research also reveals some challenges faced by Indonesia in conducting diplomacy related to Myanmar. The limited influence of Indonesia over the Myanmar government and disagreements among ASEAN member states pose constraints on Indonesia's efforts to respond to human rights violations in its neighboring country. In conclusion, Indonesia's diplomacy as a majority Muslim democratic country in responding to human rights violations in Myanmar has resulted in several constructive steps. However, the challenges encountered indicate that Indonesia's efforts still need improvement.
