Abstract

This study aims to: 1) provide a description of the application of experimental methods in science learning to improve early childhood thinking skills; 2) knowing  the  Supporting Factors and Inhibiting Factors in the Application of Experimental Methods in Science Learning to Improve Early Childhood Thinking Skills. The research subjects consisted of three information people, namely 2 teachers and 1 principal. The experimental method was chosen because it is considered to be able to provide direct experience that stimulates children's active involvement in learning, so that it can increase their understanding of science concepts in depth. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the application of experimental methods in science learning is able to improve the ability to think critically, logically, and creatively in early childhood. The main supporting factors for the success of this method are the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure, as well as the active involvement of teachers as facilitators. The obstacles faced include a lack of time in implementing the experiment and limited teachers' understanding of the use of this method.

Abstract

PHBS activities made for early childhood are activities to foster and develop healthy living habits and behaviours in students, which are carried out comprehensively and integrated; for that, for the activity to take place well, it is necessary to plan, implement and evaluate an activity carried out to students to achieve the desired goals. This study aims to provide an overview of implementing clean and healthy living behaviours in children. This qualitative research is descriptive, which is a type of research that describes a symptom, condition, and existing situation. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study include efforts made to habituate clean and healthy living behaviours in children by providing their activities, such as washing their hands and taking out garbage. The supporting factors for implementing clean and healthy living behaviours in early childhood are rules and regulations at school that support clean and healthy living behaviour activities, parents, and the family environment. The earliest place is the family environment for implementing clean and healthy living behaviours and peers, which is usually when there are students who do activities, other students tend to do it too.

Abstract

Image media is a medium that can increase children's interest in reading and communication. Image media can be stimulated to develop optimally. One of the developments in reading interest to children is through picture media. The importance of picture media for children is that it can increase knowledge and make it easier for children to communicate with others. The purpose of this study is to find out which Image Media can increase reading interest in children in kindergarten. This study uses qualitative descriptive research with teacher and student research subjects. The data collection tools used by the author in the research are observation, interviews, and documentation. By using this analysis, the researcher presented the results of the study that developing an interest in reading through picture media in kindergarten, in general, has developed the observation based on the 5 indicators presented by the researcher. This development has been in line with expectations. Based on the results of this analysis, in following the image media of 5-6-year-old children in kindergarten, it can be concluded that everything develops optimally.

Abstract

The Talking Stick learning model  is interpreted as a learning model for playing sticks, designed to measure the mastery of learning materials, foster learning motivation and create a fun learning atmosphere for students by using sticks. This research focuses on the Application of  the Talking Stick  Learning Model by Utilizing Used Goods to Improve Physicalmotor Skills in Early Childhood. The purpose of this study is to find out  the Application of the Talking Stick Learning Model by Utilizing Used Goods to Improve Children's Physicalmotor Skills after early childhood The type of research used is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The results of the study are as follows: 1) The Talking Stick  learning model is implemented in early childhood, where teachers provide direct guidance. The application of the talking stick learning model  is carried out in the process of activities that can improve children's oral language skills in the future As for the inhibiting factors in Talking Stick learning that "one of the disadvantages  of Talking Stick is that when students do not understand the lesson, then students will feel anxious and worried when Talking Stick in his hands. Meanwhile, the Supporting Factors are to test students' readiness in mastering the subject matter, practicing reading and understanding the subject matter quickly, according to the material that has been delivered and to be more active in learning because students never know that the stick will be their turn.

Abstract

Communication skills are the ability of a person who is able to convey all information through his mind in the form of meaningful, logical, and systematic expressions possessed by early children. In simple terms, language skills can be interpreted as the ability of children to talk and interact with their friends and environment. Thus, children's communication skills can develop. Based on the results of the researcher's observations, there are still some children who experience delays in terms of communication, such as children who cannot use Indonesian properly and correctly, can only use English and children still look sloppy in expressing words. The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the role of parents as guides in developing early childhood communication skills in RA and (2) to describe the role of parents as educators in developing early childhood communication skills in RA group B in RA Tathmainnul qulub. This study uses a qualitative approach with a special type of study research. Data collection was carried out by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data validity technique is carried out by triangulation of methods, time and sources. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman model analysis with steps: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. providing basic education, basic skills, affection, a sense of security, and instilling good habits in children, providing child assistance, support or motivation, and information on how to learn well and appropriately.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of constructive play with block media on the creativity of children aged 5-6 years at Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kindergarten. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with the type of research Quasi Experiment Design with Non Equivalent Control Group Design research design. The population in this study amounted to 48 group B students at Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kindergarten. Sampling in this study was purposive sampling' The sample in this study was 16 children with 8 children as the experimental group and 8 children as the control group. Data collection techniques used are observation and checklist techniques. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and non-parametric statistical analysis, namely the difference test (Wilcoxon signad rank test). Referring to the results of the study, there were changes in children's creativity seen from the average before and after being treated. From the results of the study it can be concluded that constructive play with block media has a significant influence on the creativity ability of children aged 5-6 years at Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kindergarten.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran media kartu kata bergambar terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia dini KB Gembira Ria Bonto-Bonto sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan dan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak pengaruh pembelajaran media kartu kata terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan anak kelompok B di KB Gembira Ria, variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran media kartu kata bergambar serta variabel terikat dalam penelitian ini adalah kemapuan membaca permulaan anak. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah anak didik di KB Gembira Ria Bonto-Bonto yang berjumlah 20 orang anak. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 10 orang anak dengan pembagian 5 anak sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 5 anak sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistic deskriptif dan analisis non parametrik. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh Asym (2-tailed) H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak artinya kemampuan memba permulaan pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol, ini membuktikan pembelajaran media kartu kata bergambar memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia dini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan agar mengetahui “Pengaruh Metode Pembelajaran Kata Lembaga dengan Dadu Kata terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Anak Usia 5-6 tahun di TK Telkom Makassar”. Metode yang dipakai ialah pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini ialah anak didik kelompok B TK Telkom Makassar. Teknik penyajian data statistik analisis deskriptif dan non parametrik. Hasilnya terlihat kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan rata rata 11,00. Sehingga memiliki kesimpulan yakni “Kegiatan metode pembelajaran kata lembaga dengan dadu kata memiliki dampak yang signifikan pada kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Telkom Makassar”.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan anak dalam mengenal huruf antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, serta untuk menilai pengaruh aktivitas bermain menggunakan media kartu sensa terhadap kemampuan mengenal huruf anak usia 4–5 tahun di PAUD Rezky Syafaat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Ekperiment Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok A di PAUD Rezky Syafaat. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 12 anak, yang terdiri dari 6 anak sebagai kelompok eksperiman dan 6 anak sebagai kelompok patokan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis parametrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengenal huruf anak pada kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan aktivitas bermain dengan media kartu sensa lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata skor kelompok eksperimen adalah 21,33, sedangkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 13,88. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 α = 0,05, sehingga H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan mengenal huruf anak melalui aktivitas bermain media kartu sensa.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a teaching module based on local wisdom that can enhance cultural literacy in early childhood education at Al-Azzam Islamic Kindergarten in Makassar. Cultural literacy in early childhood is crucial for shaping children’s character and cultural identity; however, many early childhood education (ECE) teachers have not fully integrated local wisdom into their teaching. This research uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to develop a teaching module that combines elements of local culture and technology to enhance children's engagement. The findings indicate that the developed teaching module based on local wisdom is effective in improving children's cultural literacy, with significant improvements in the recognition of cultural symbols, participation in cultural activities, and appreciation for cultural diversity. This study also emphasizes the importance of integrating local culture into the ECE curriculum as a way to enrich children's learning experiences and strengthen their character. These findings make a significant contribution to the development of a more contextually relevant ECE curriculum that aligns with the cultural background of children in Indonesia
