Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian true eksperiment dengan desain posttest only control group design. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis serta untuk menganalisis perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Majene Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 dengan sampel yaitu kelas XI MIA 1 yang berjumlah 31 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 3 sebanyak 31 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan secara acak. Pada kelas eksperimen diterapkan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan kelas kontrol diterapkan pembelajaran secara konvensional. Hasil tes uji statistik deskriptif kemampuan berpikir kritis diperoleh skor rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 14,10 dengan kategori tinggi, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol skor rata-rata yaitu 8,52 dengan kategori sedang dari skor ideal 21. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji t diperoleh bahwa HO ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan yang diajar secara konvensional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-experiment dengan menggunakan desain One Group Pretest Posttest design. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 23 orang pada kelas X MIA 9. Berdasarkan analisis skor pretest dan posttest dengan menggunakan uji n-gain maka diperoleh 39,1% termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan 60,9% termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Hasil ini menunjukkan  bahwa peningkatan keterampilan praktikum peserta didik dengan menggunakan LKPD Terbimbing termasuk dalam kategori tinggi

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan The Randomized Postest-Only Control Group Design, yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar fisika antara peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model learning cycle 5E dengan model konvensional pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Bima. Hasil analisis deskriptif memperlihatkan bahwa skor rata-rata motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model learning cycle 5E sebesar 120.48 dan standar deviasi 6,178 dan skor rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model learning cycle 5E sebesar 21,90 dan standar deviasi 3,59. Sedangkan skor rata-rata motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik yang diajar secara konvensional 116,38 dan standar deviasi 5.696 dan skor rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan metode konvensional 18,90 dan standar deviasi 3,93. Analisis inferensial menggunakan uji-t dua pihak dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dengan kesimpulan bahwa 1) Terdapat perbedaan Motivasi belajar fisika yang signifikan antara yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5E dengan model konvensional peserta didik pada kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Bima; 2) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar fisika yang signifikan antara yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5E dengan model konvensional peserta didik pada kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Bima.

Abstract

Abstract - The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in physics learning outcomes between students taught using the discovery model and problem solving models, both overall, high learning motivation, and low motivation to learn. In addition, to analyze the effect of interactions between learning models with learning motivation on student physics learning outcomes. To achieve these objectives, an experimental study using treatment by level design, 2 x 2 factorial. The population of this study were all students of grade XI MIA SMAN 9 Makassar. The research sample subjects were taken through cluster random sampling technique. Grade XI MIA 1 and MIA 3 students as an experimental class taught using the discovery model. While students of grade XI MIA 2 and XI MIA 4 as controls are taught using problem solving models. Data collection about physics learning outcomes and learning motivation using test and non-test instrument techniques. Data were then analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that overall, there were differences in physics learning outcomes between students who were taught using the discovery model and problem solving models. Furthermore, there is no effect of interaction between learning models with learning motivation on learning outcomes in physics. There is a difference in physics learning outcomes between students taught using the discovery learning model and problem solving models, both students who have high motivation to learn and those who have low learning motivation.Keywords: discovery model, problem solving, learning motivation, treatment by level design, two-way ANOVA, physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The teacher as an important figure in learning to encourage students to achieve high learning outcomes. In carrying out their activities, teachers who are members of the Physics Consultative Association (MGMP) of Physics in Pangkep Regency need to be evaluated. This research aims to plan the preparation, implementation and results of the Physics MGMP program in Pangkep Regency. To achieve these objectives, evaluative research has been conducted using the Countenance Stake’s model. The subject of this research was the High School Physics Teacher Study Program (MGMP) in Pangkep Regency. Data collection uses interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the qualitative model of Miles and Huberman. Data analysis consists of three activities: data condensation, data display and conclusions. The results of data analysis that prove the evaluation of preparation is in accordance with the guidelines used. Implementation evaluation is in accordance with the guidelines used, but it needs to be on several aspects. Program evaluation of MGMP results depends on either category. Based on the evaluation findings of this program, it can be recommended that the MGMP program in Pangkep Regency can be continued with several improvements. So that the preparation is more optimal. While on the implementation schedule, active participants need to be optimized, and need an agenda related to the needs of teachers in the field.

Abstract

The rules regarding the assessment carried out by teachers have been refined to match the demands of 21st-century learning, the aspect that has been improved is the cognitive aspect, specifically in the assessment of Higher Order Thinking Skills. However, prospective teachers and even teachers still have difficulty implementing this assessment. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of the ability of prospective physics teacher students in solving Higher Order Thinking Skills questions as an initial description in identifying problems that occur. This research was a descriptive study to determine the profile of postgraduate students at Makassar State University, South Sulawesi. The research data was obtained through test technique. These questions consist of 40 sets of items, with indicators of analyzing, evaluating, and creating. It has been developed by researchers and validated by experts. The percentage of the score obtained is 68, 79, and 55% for indicators of analyzing, evaluating, and creating respectively. Therefore, Prospective physics teachers can still be said to be unsatisfactory in solving Higher Order Thinking Skills questions.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of the discovery learning model in physics at SMA Negeri 6 Makassar. In addition to knowing the factors that become obstacles and supporters in applying the learning model in the physics at SMA Negeri 6 Makassar. To achieve these objectives, research has been conducted with a qualitative approach. The subject of this research is the physics teacher at SMA 6 Makassar who already has an educator certificate. Research data collection using observation techniques, interview guidelines and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique consisting of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that the implementation of the discovery learning model in physics had been implemented well. This inhibiting factor is that the application of discovery learning models requires more time allocation, students' characteristics, and teacher consistency in applying the dyscovery learning model. While the supporting factors of this research are the availability of facilities and infrastructures in implementing certain discovery learning models, such as learning media in the form of LCD projectors, internet facilities to facilitate students in gathering information, 2013 curriculum package books provided in school libraries.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study that aims to uncover the implementation of scientific approaches and assessment systems in learning physics at senior high schools in Makassar. The research subjects consisted of 8 physics class XI teachers from 4 schools in Makassar City. The research data were obtained through questionnaires, documentation, observation, and interviews. Interviews aim to synchronize data obtained through questionnaires, observations and documentation. Based on the results of the study showed that, a scientific approach in learning physics by teachers has been implemented even though it has not been maximized. Likewise, authentic assessment in learning physics in aspects of knowledge and skills has been carried out well, but not yet in the attitude aspect. The cause of the lack of optimal is insufficient time, different abilities of students, the willingness of students to ask questions and seek help, responded accordingly, the number of learners is large, and the readiness is still inadequate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of physics teacher pedagogical competencies in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at SMA Negeri 5 Maros. Besides, to find out the factors that constrain and support the physics teacher's pedagogical competence in implementing the 2013 curriculum at SMA Negeri 5 Maros. To achieve this goal, research has been conducted with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were physics teachers at Maros 5 Public High School who had educator certificates. Research data collection using observation techniques, interview guidelines, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique consisting of data reduction, data presentation, concluding, and verification. The results showed that the physics teacher's pedagogical competence at Maros 5 High School in applying the 2013 curriculum out of the seven aspects that had to be mastered, the teacher was able to master the four aspects that were by the Minister of Education Regulation No. 16 of 2007 concerning Academic Qualification Standards and Teacher Competencies. These inhibiting factors are less than optimal training on increasing competencies for teachers, and lack of time in preparing lesson plans. While the supporting factors of this research are the existence of MGMP which is a place to increase teacher professionalism and teaching materials in the form of curriculum books in 2013.

Abstract

This research is a development research that aims to describe a valid profile of STEM-based teaching material development, analyze students' responses to the development of teaching materials and analyze the effectiveness of STEM-based teaching materials to examine creative thinking skills. This research was conducted at SMAN 9 Makassar in class XI MIA 6 consisting of 32 students as respondents. STEM-based physics learning was carried out 5 times on static and dynamic fluid material. Learning activities contain four elements, namely science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and the STEM results made are making hydraulic bridges and simple mosquito sprays from used materials. The development model used was ADDIE which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The ADDIE model is a development procedure carried out by producing a STEM-based physics learning product. The intended product is to produce a STEM-based physics teaching material, step-by-step. These steps are included in the teaching material that must be validated and ready to be used by the teachers in carrying out learning so that students can think creatively. The results showed the practicality of physics teaching material based on practical STEM. It was seen from the results of the responses of students and the responses of teachers who were in the very good category. Learning using STEM-based teaching materials is effective and can make students think creatively. This is shown in the fluency thinking indicator with a percentage of 74.58%, the flexible thinking indicator 71.25%, the original thinking indicator 81.56%, and the elaborative thinking indicator 82.03%, with an average percentage of 77.36% which is in the creative category.
