Abstract

This study aims to analyze differences in understanding of physics concepts between students taught using the guided discovery method with varied lectures, both overall, for high learning interest and for low learning interest. In addition to knowing the interaction between learning methods and learning interest in understanding students' physics concepts. To achieve this goal, an experimental study using a 2 x 2 factorial design was conducted. The population of the study was 193 students of class XI IPA of SMAN 18 Makassar in 2018/2019 Academic Year. The sample subjects of this study were taken through cluster sampling techniques, amounting to 64 people. Two classes as an experimental group were taught using the guided discovery method and two classes as a control class were taught with a varied lecture method. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential satelistic two-way ANAVA at a significance level of 5%. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average score of understanding the physics concepts of the experimental group students was 18.57 with a standard deviation of 2.53. The average score of understanding the physics concepts of the control group students was 14.56 with a standard deviation of 2.86. The results of inferential analysis show that overall, there are differences in understanding of physical concepts between students taught using the guided discovery method and those taught with varied lectures. Further results, both for high learning interest and those with low learning interest, there are differences in understanding of physics concepts between students taught using the guided discovery method with varied lectures. Finally, the results obtained that there is no interaction between learning methods with interest in learning about understanding students' physics concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to find factual data regarding the implementation of cognitive assessments in physics learning in the Makassar 10th Middle School. To achieve this goal, research has been carried out using a qualitative paradigm. The focus of the study was on cognitive assessments conducted by subjects at the 10th high school physics teacher in Makassar. Data were collected using questionnaires, documentation, observation, and interview techniques. The four techniques were carried out back and forth throughout the study until the data was saturated. To check the validity of the data used source triangulation techniques. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique, which consisted of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of cognitive assessment in physics subjects in Makassar 10 public high schools had run but was not optimal. Assessment tools have been prepared by the teacher well. In conducting the assessment, the teacher does not appear to be fully consistent in carrying out cognitive assessments as previously prepared. Giving questions is made by the teacher spontaneously, sometimes taking questions from textbooks or the internet.

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif pada peserta didik kelas XI semester genap Tahun Akademik 2018/2019 di Kota Makassar yang berjumlah 103 orang. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik proportional-cluster random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui instrumen tes berbentuk uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam memprediksi berdasarkan data dari grafik berada pada kategori rendah. Dengan demikian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan peserta didik memprediksi dalam fisika di Kota Makassar 2018/2019 rendah. This study was descriptive quantitative which was done to XI grade student in 2018/2019 academic year. Study subject was 103 student which were chosen by proportional-cluster random sampling method. The study data were collected by using descriptive testing instrument. The study result shows that student predicting ability for data from graphics is in poor category. This study result generates a conclusion that student’s physics predicting ability in 2018/2019 is poor.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity was to providereinforcement to the Makassar City Physics Subject Teachers(MGMP) in formulating a question-making grid, constructingitems, analyzing items, calculating the validity and reliabilityof assessment instruments physics learning outcomes tomeasure Higher Order Thinking skills (HOTS). To achievethis goal, a workshop was held for Physics teachers who weremembers of the Makassar City Physics MGMP at SMAN 10Makassar as their secretariat. This workshop was held for 4weeks, every Saturday. In the first week reinforcement wasmade in the form of presentations on techniques for makinggrids, techniques for formulating items then continued with theassignment of making a grid for participants. Then in thesecond week, there was a discussion about the grid that hadbeen done by the participants, then continued with formulatingthe points which continued with the presentation of each group.All participants were asked to comment on items made byother participants. In the third week, presentations were madeby the dedicated team regarding item analysis techniqueswhich continued with the assignment of assignments toparticipants. Last week, there was a discussion about the itemsthat the participants had made to ensure that all the itemsproduced by the participants were included in the HOTScategory. The results showed that above 85% of the MGMPPhysics participants were able to produce Physics items thatwere included in the HOTS category.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide reinforcement to physics teachers who are members of the Subject Teacher (MGMP) IPA of Parepare City. In particular, the objectives of this program are: formulating the problem making grid, constructing item items, analyzing item items, calculating the validity and reliability of the assessment instruments of physics learning outcomes to measure higher-order thinking skills. To achieve this goal, a workshop was held for Physics teachers who are members of the MGMP IPA Parepare City. This workshop was held at SMAN 5 Parepare for 4 weeks. The first week was reinforced in the form of presentations on the technique of making lattices, and grain formulation techniques. Then the participants were given the task of making a grid. The second week there was a discussion about the grid, then continued with the theory of the formulation of the items. After that, they were invited to present in groups. In the third week, there was a presentation by the service team about the item analysis technique followed by assigning tasks to participants. Last week there was a discussion about the items the participants had made to ensure that all items produced by the participants were included in the HOTS category. The results of this activity indicate that, over 87% of participants in the MGMP IPA of Parepare City are able to make items about Physics that are oriented towards higher-order Thinking skills.

Abstract

This research was a development research that aims to: describe feasibility, practitioner assessment, effectiveness in learning, then produce a problem-based physics e-module. The subjects of this research were 33 students of class XI IPA MA DDI Alliritengae. This research used the ADDIE model development. The instruments that were used in this research were e-module validation sheets, practitioner response questionnaires (educators/teachers), and students' conceptual understanding test instruments. The eligibility criteria for e-modules can be seen from the aspect of validity. The practical criteria can be seen from the practitioner's assessment of the e-module, and the effectiveness criteria can be seen from the increasing students' concept understanding test results. Based on the results, it can be concluded: The developing problem-based physics e-module, based on expert judgment used the Aiken V index analysis, was declared valid and suitable for use with minor revisions; The problem-based physics e-module in terms of the response of physics teachers was in “very good” category; The students’ conceptual understanding ability analyzed with N-gain obtained an average value of 0.42 that was in the medium category which means that there was an increasing in students' conceptual understanding abilities so that it can be concluded that The problem-based physics e-module developed was effective in improving students' conceptual understanding skills

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas peserta didik dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar pada pokok bahasan Elastisitas zat padat setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masalah kurangnya aktivitas peserta didik selama guru mengajar karena proses pembelajaran hanya berfokus pada guru. Pembelajaran Fisika dirasa tidak bermakna sehingga peserta didik pasif saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA 6 MA Unggulan Amanatul Ummah Surabaya yang berjumlah 27 peserta didik perempuan. Langkah-langkah yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini antara lain perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni dengan merekam kejadian selama pembelajaran serta lembar observasi oleh observer selanjutnya data dianalisis secara kualitatif. Penelitian dianggap berhasil jika lebih dari 70 % peserta didik terlibat dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan bahwa pada siklus pertama aktivitas peserta didik masih belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan. Oleh karena itu pada tindakan siklus dua peneliti merefleksi dengan cara lebih menekankan pentingnya solusi dari masalah yang disajikan serta menjelaskan secara detail komponen-komponen pada langkah-langkah pembelajaran. Pada siklus kedua didapatkan hasil bahwa keterlibatan aktivitas peserta didik sebanyak lebih dari 70% sehingga dapat dikatakan mencapai keberhasilan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah disertai metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar fisika siswa. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI Sains MA Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata yang berjumlah 16 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 pada materi fluida. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi selama dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan diperoleh skor klasikal persentase aktivitas belajar fisika siswa pada siklus I sebesar 57,36% dengan kriteria sedang, siklus II 67,79% dengan kriteria aktif dan pada siklus III 73,57% dengan kriteria aktif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah disertai metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar fisika siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan korelasi antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar pada tingkatan C1 (pengetahuan), C2 (pemahaman), C3 (aplikasi), dan C4 (analisis) peserta didik dalam pembelajaran fisika secara daring di Kelas XI MIPA SMAN 10 Luwu pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah motivasi belajar sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah hasil belajar fisika. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 10 Luwu tahun ajaran 2021/2022 sedangkan sampelnya adalah 134 peserta didik yang dipilih secara acak. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan kuesioner motivasi belajar dan tes hasil belajar pada materi fluida statis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik dalam pembelajaran daring. Motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar fisika pada penelitian ini berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei yang bertujuan untukmendeskripsikan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas X MIPAdi SMAN 10 Makassar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 10Makassar pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Indikatorketerampilan berpikir kritis yang diteliti meliputi interpretasi, analisis,evaluasi dan inferensi. Adapun variabel dalam penelitian ini yaituketerampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Sampel penelitian yaitu pesertadidik kelas X MIPA sebanyak 5 kelas dan berjumlah 171 orang. Data hasilpenelitian diperoleh dengan cara memberikan tes keterampilan berpikirkritis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistikdeskritif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpilirkritis pada indikator interpretasi sebesar 36,36 % peserta didik beradapada kategori sangat rendah, pada indikator analisis sebesar 37,43%peserta didik berada pada kategori rendah, pada indikator evaluasi sebesar32,16 % peserta didik berada pada kategori sangat rendah dan padaindikator inferensi sebesar 59,06% peserta didik berada pada kategorisangat rendah. Dengan demikian keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didiksecara keseluruhan didominasi oleh kategori sedang dengan persentasesebesar 40,94 % . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian indikator analisis memilikipersentase skor rata-rata tertinggi sebesar 30,91% peserta didik beradapada kategori rendah sedangkan indikator yang memiliki presentase skorrata-rata terendah yaitu indikator inferensi sebesar 23,98 % peserta didikberada pada kategori rendah. Penyebab rendahnya keterampilan berpikirkritis peserta didik karena peserta didik tidak terbiasa menggunakan soalberbasis keterampilan berpikir kritisKata Kunci :Analisis, Berpikir Kritis, Evaluasi, Inferensi, InterpretasiAbstract – This research is survey research aims to describe the criticalthinking skills of senior high school students in class X MIPA in seniorhigh school 10 makassar. This research was conducted in 2019/2020academic year. The indicators of critical thinking skills are studiedinclude interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. The researchvariables are students’ critical thinking skills .The research sample isstudents of class X MIPA with a total 171 students. The data werecollecting by providing critical thinking skills test. The data analysistechnique used descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed thatcritical thinking skill in the interpretation indicators were 36,36 % of theparticipants sitting in the very low category, on the analysis indicatorswere 37,43 % of the participants sitting in the low category, on theevaluation indicators were 32,16 % of the participants sitting in the verylow category, and on the inference indicators 59,06 % of the participantssitting in the very low category. Thus, the critical thinking skill of studensas a whole are dominated by the medium category with a percentage of59,06 %. Based on the results of the research, the rvaluation indicatorshave the highest percentage average score of 30,91% of students are inthe low category while the indicator that has the lowest percentageaverage score is the inference indicator of 23,98 % of students are in thevery low category. The course of the low critical thinking skill of studentsbecause students are note accustomed to using questions based on criticalthinking skills.Keywords :Analysis, Critical Thinking, Evaluation, Inference,Interpretation
