Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem that some students do not understand the material about identifying lecture texts. The purpose of this study was to describe the ability to identify lecture texts for class XI students at SMK N 3 Padang without and using the Jigsaw learning model, and to describe the effect of the Jigsaw learning model on the ability to identify lecture texts for class XI students at SMK N 3 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research. The design of this study was a posttest only control design. The population in this study were class XI students of SMK N 3 Padang who were registered in 2019/2020. The research sample consisted of 30 control classes and 30 sample classes. The data of this study is the score of the test results of the ability to identify lecture texts without and using the Jigsaw learning model. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded as follows: First, the level of Ability to Identify Lecture Texts without using the Jigsaw model, class XI students of SMK N 3 Padang obtained an average score of 71.30 with a classification of 66-75%, which is more than adequate (LdC). Second, the level of ability to identify lecture texts after using the Jigsaw model, class XI students of SMK N 3 Padang obtained an average score of 79.68 with a classification of 76-85%, which is good (B). Third, from the results of data analysis that has been carried out that the use of the Jigsaw model has a significant effect on increasing the ability to identify lecture texts, it can be seen that the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at a significant level of 95% and dk = n-2 because tcount > ttable ( 5.17 > 1.67).

Abstract

This study was inspired by the challenges faced in learning Indonesian literature within the text-based 2013 curriculum. Interviews with teachers revealed students' difficulties in understanding literature, particularly saga material, leading to a focus on knowledge acquisition rather than literary experience. Consequently, a pressing need emerged for innovative literature teaching materials, especially in high schools. To address this, an android-based literary writing e-module was developed following the ASSURE model, comprising six essential steps. The study's findings demonstrate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the Smart Apps Creator (SAC)-based learning media used in the e-module. The validity test resulted in very high scores (85% in material aspect, 88% in language aspect, and 96% in media aspect). Teachers rated the practicality aspect at 94%, while students rated it at 83%. Additionally, individual and small group trials resulted in impressive scores; 86% and 84%, respectively, and N-Gain scores indicated high effectiveness; 0.52, 0.58, and 0.53 for different schools. This research reveals that the SAC-based learning media effectively integrates with students, offering promising prospects for enhancing literature education in high schools. The study's findings hold significant implications for the development of creative and technology-driven learning materials, which can contribute to more engaging and effective literature instruction.

Abstract

Language errors are deviations from the language level which are influenced by various factors. The purpose of this research is to identify and describe the types and factors that cause language errors in student narrative texts and how to overcome language errors in student essays. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the Miles-Hubermen technique with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The object of this study are 11 narrative texts written by grade IV students with research subjects in the form of words, sentences, and spellings that contained language errors. Based on the research conducted, it is found that language errors in grade IV students that commonly occur, namely errors in diction selection, spelling in the form of capital letters and punctuation, as well as sentence irregularities are caused by internal and external factors of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Cerpen Berdasarkan Nilai Dalam Hikayat Siswa Kelas X SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah Posttest Only Control Design. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut ini. Pertama, kemampuan menulis cerpen berdasarkan nilai dalam hikayat siswa kelas X SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar tanpa menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated reading and composition (CIRC) memperoleh nilai 79,17 berada pada rentangan 76-85% dengan kualifikasi lebih dari baik. Kedua, kemampuan menulis cerpen berdasarkan nilai dalam hikayat siswa kelas x SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah datar dengan menggunakan model CIRC memperoleh nilai 84,17 berada pada rentangan 76-85% dengan kualifikasi baik. Ketiga, berdasarkan uji-t terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model CIRC terhadap kemampuan menulis cerpen berdasarkan nilai dalam hikayat siswa kelas X SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar karena karena thitung > ttabel yaitu (5,21 >1,68), maka H0 ditolak H1 diterima. Dengan demikian penggunaan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis cerpen berdasarkan nilai dalam hikayat siswa kelas X SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa yang kurang memahami struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks eksplanasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Kota Solok yang berjumlah247 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA 2 yang berjumlah 26 orang. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut ini. Pertama, keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Kota Solok sebelum menggunakan model Problem Based Instruction (PBI) memperoleh nilai 56,4 berada pada rentangan 56-65% dengan kualifikasi sedang,. Kedua, keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Kota Solok sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran  memperoleh nilai  berada pada rentangan 66-75% dengan kualifikasi cukup artinya siswa sudah mempu memahami struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan secara baik karena nilai siswa meningkat dari yang sebelum menggunakan model.Disana terlihat juga peningkatan nilai 72,04 dan rentangan nilai yaitu berkisar 66-75% diskala 10. Dengan demikian penggunaan model Problem Based Instruction (PBI) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Kota Solok.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validation of the learning module for constructing scientific papers for class XI SMA based on the assessments of content/material experts, linguists and graphic experts. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with a 4-D (Four-D) model. The 4-D model consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The instrument used is a validation sheet filled out by experts in their fields to test the feasibility of content, presentation feasibility, project based learning, language feasibility and graphic feasibility. The data analysis technique used is a Likert scale with a scale of 0-10. Based on the results of expert validation, the developed learning module is categorized as valid with a value of 90.86. Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the correlation between the learning preferences and essay writing abilities among 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 9 Padang in class XI F7 for the learning style questionnaire trial and class XI F5 for the learning style questionnaire test and essay writing skill test using a random sample with a total of 32 students. This research employs a quantitative approach utilizing the correlation method to investigate potential associations between the two variables, namely learning style variables and essay writing skills variables. The results of this study are that in the data requirements test, the data normality test and homogeneity test are carried out. The normality test for the two data obtained a value of 0.427> 0.05 for learning style and 0.068> 0.05 for essay writing skills so that the two variables are normally distributed. Furthermore, for the data homogeneity test, a value of 0.218> 0.05 was obtained so that the data was homogeneous. Then, the result of this research hypothesis is 0.002< 0.05, it can be inferred that a connection exists between the learning style and essay writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 9 Padang.

Abstract

A portfolio learning strategy is a form of changing the mindset from teacher-centered to student-centered. This strategy is a learning innovation designed to help students understand theory in depth through practical-empirical learning experiences. A portfolio strategy can be an approach program that encourages competence, responsibility, and student participation, learns to assess and influence public policies, and dares to participate in activities between peers, between schools, and between members of the community. The results of the portfolio for the process of learning Indonesian in the writing aspect can be used in the learning process, especially in the Indonesian language subject at SMA 1 Pertiwi, Padang. This activity needs to be carried out as a follow-up service to training on developing Indonesian learning strategies for teachers because through this kind of activity teachers' insight and understanding will increase. Along with the demands of teacher professionalism, teachers must always improve their ability to manage learning. In addition, teachers also get new information related to the world of education.

Abstract

Nilai sastra dalam novel tidak bisa dilepaskan dengan fenomena sosial di masyarakat. Matrilineal di Minangkabau sebagai sebuah sistem telah ada sejak masa sastra modern di Indonesia. Minangkabau dahulunya terkenal karena kisah ironi terkait pernikahan dan adat. Sementara sastra yang hadir pada masa sekarang memperlihatkan keadaan masyarakat masa kini dengan tatanan matrilineal yang sebagian masih mempertahankan sistem masa lalu serta masih banyak dijumpai dalam realitas masyarakat sekarang walaupun hal itu hanya diungkapkan dalam bentuk karya fiksi. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana sistem matrilineal dalam novel warna lokal Minangkabau dalam novel Aku Tidak Membeli Cintamu karya Desni Intan Suri. Hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang sosial pengarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif berbentuk deskriptif analisis yang sifatnya membahas secara mendalam suatu informasi lalu ditandai dalam teks. Pendekatan yang dipakai adalah kombinasi kajian sosiologi dan antropologi sastra dilengkapi dengan pandangan dunia pengarang Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa sistem matrilineal dalam novel warna lokal Minangkabau ditemukan bahwa bentuk sistem matrilineal terbentuk dari peran bundo kandung, pertalian kekerabatan, perihal perkawinan, dan tentang pewarisan harta pusaka tinggi masih dipakai. Sementara, berdasarkan sosial budaya secara tidak langsung dikaitkan dengan pandangan dunia pengarang yang bisa berupa pengalaman masa lalu, sekarang dan pikiran maju masa depan sesuai dengan sosial, adat, dan budaya yang telah dipakai. Matrilineal in Minangkabau as a system has existed since the time of modern literature in Indonesia. The Minangkabau used to be famous for ironic stories related to marriage and customs. Meanwhile, the literature that is present today shows the condition of today's society with a matrilineal order, some of which still maintain the past system and are still commonly found in the reality of today's society, even though this is only expressed in the form of works of fiction. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to see how the matrilineal system is in the Minangkabau local color novel in Desni Intan Suri's novel Aku Tidak Membeli Cintamu. It is influenced by the author's social background. This research is qualitative research in the form of descriptive analysis which discusses information in depth and then marks it in the text. The approach used is a combination of sociological studies and literary anthropology complemented by the author's worldview. The results of this study show that the matrilineal system in Minangkabau local color novels found that the form of the matrilineal system is formed from the role of a biological mother, kinship ties, marriage matters, and inheritance of high inheritance. still used. Meanwhile, based on socio-culture, it is indirectly related to the author's world view which can be in the form of experience, present and forward-thinking in the future according to the social, customs, and culture that have been used. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kearifan lokal yang terdapat pada ungkapan kepercayaan masyarakat Lubuk Landua di Nagari Aur Kuning Kecamatan Pasaman Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Jenis penelitian iniadalah penelitian kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari masyarakat dan bahan kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, teknik rekam dan teknik catat untuk memeproleh data dari narasumber. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu dengan memasukan data yang diperoleh dalam tabel inventaris. Teknik pengabsahan data yang digunakan adalah tringulasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat tiga nilai kearifan lokal uangkapan kepercayaan masyarakat Lubuk Landau di Nagari Aur Kuning Kecamanatan Pasaman Kabupaten Pasaman Barat yaitu berkaitan dengan nilai (1) nilai religi, (2) nilai estetika, dan (3) nilai moral. Kata Kunci: kearifan lokal, folklor, ungkapan This research aims to describe the local wisdom contained in the expressions of belief of the Lubuk Landua community in Nagari Aur Kuning, Pasaman District, West Pasaman Regency. This type of research is qualitative research. Data was obtained from the community and library materials. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, recording techniques and note-taking techniques to obtain data from sources. The data analysis technique used is by entering the data obtained in the inventory table. The data validation technique used is triangulation. The results of this research show three local wisdom values as expressed by the beliefs of the Lubuk Landau community in Nagari Aur Kuning, Pasaman District, West Pasaman Regency, namely those related to (1) religious values, (2) aesthetic values, and (3) moral values.
