Abstract

Kemampuan berbicara menjadi faktor yang sangat penting untuk dikembangkan pada anak usia dini, sebab dengan kemampuan berbicara yang baik maka dapat memudahkan anak berkomunikasi dengan orang lain. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh media boneka tangan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan serta mengetahui pengaruh media boneka tangan terhadap kemampuan berbicara anak. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pra-eksperimen desain One Group Pretest and Posttest. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis memakai uji validitas instrumen, uji reliabilitas instrumen, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, analisis stastistik deskriptif dan uji hipotesis mengunakan uji T. Subyek penelitian yaitu 9 anak usia 5-6 tahun. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa media boneka tangan dapat berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berbicara anak. Hasil analisis paired samples test menunjukkan nilai 0,00 < 0,05. Dengan ini dapat dilihat bahwa terdapat pengaruh media boneka tangan terhadap kemampuan berbicara anak usia 5-6 tahun.

Abstract

Kasus kekerasan seksual terhadap anak meningkat, salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah persepsi orang tua yang dinilai tabu akan pemberian pendidikan seks sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan guna memahami persepsi orang tua terhadap pendidikan seks pada anak usia dini di Kecamatan Waru. Penulis menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif melalui metode survei. Sampel dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling melibatkan 100 orang tua peserta didik di tiga TK. Hasil menunjukkan perolehan data orang tua yang menjawab setuju sebanyak 95,83% pada materi anggota tubuh yang boleh serta tidak diperbolehkan untuk disentuh. Materi identifikasi anggota tubuh sebanyak 94,25%. Pengenalan identitas gender sebanyak 85%, selanjutnya keterampilan dalam melindungi diri sebanyak 91,25%. Mengenali situasi yang memungkinkan eksploitasi seksual di peroleh sebanyak 73,20% dan terakhir toilet training sebanyak 87,75%. Ini berarti orang tua yang ada di Kecamatan Waru tidak memiliki pemikiran yang tabu mengenai pemberian pendidikan seks yang dimulai sedini mungkin

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan guru PAUD di Kota Samarinda dalam menerapkan permainan interaktif berbasis Hutan Tropis Lembap dan Lingkungannya (HTLL) untuk menstimulasi motorik kasar anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan, workshop, simulasi, dan praktikum, dengan melibatkan 3 lembaga PAUD mitra, 15 guru, dan 90 anak usia 3–6 tahun. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi, angket, dan wawancara, baik saat maupun pasca kegiatan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam mengintegrasikan permainan berbasis lingkungan ke dalam pembelajaran (85%), serta peningkatan kemampuan motorik kasar anak seperti keseimbangan, koordinasi, dan keberanian (80%). Program ini terbukti efektif sebagai model pembelajaran kontekstual yang memadukan aspek edukatif dan pelestarian lingkungan, serta dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain yang memiliki potensi ekosistem lokal.

Abstract

The research activity was conducted with the aim of knowing the language development of early childhood, especially children aged 7 years who have an extended family background. The case study type is very appropriate to be used in this study, in addition to the data collection method with observation techniques and interviews with Mrs. S, Mrs. Q, and Mrs. J as the biological parents of the three research subjects to obtain information related to children's language development, while the data analysis technique uses the Miles and Hubberman model through several steps of research activities, namely data collection activities, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the observation and interview activities that have been carried out previously, it can be seen that the listening, speaking, writing, reading abilities of Z, A, and R are able to achieve good language development because of the help of stimulation from the family, especially both parents, Grandma, Uncle, and Aunt. Several forms of stimulation, namely through watching videos, singing, telling stories, playing flash cards, and playing kinetic sand are considered effective in stimulating children's language abilities.

Abstract

Early mathematical skills are crucial predictors of children's future success, yet they are often insufficiently stimulated during early childhood. This study investigates the effect of the digital game ``BEKANTAN''—an acronym for Bermain Matematika di Hutan Kalimantan (Playing Math in the Kalimantan Forest)—on the early math abilities of children aged 5–6 years in early childhood education. The study focuses on number knowledge, operations, geometry, algebra, measurement, and data analysis. This quantitative study used a pre-experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. A total of 17 children were purposively selected from a population of 65, based on underdeveloped mathematical skills. Data were collected using a validated observation instrument and analyzed with SPSS 22, employing t-tests after normality and homogeneity tests. The results showed a significant increase in children's early math skills after using the ``BEKANTAN'' game, with a p-value of 0.001. This indicates the effectiveness of digital games in supporting foundational mathematical development in early learners. The study highlights the potential of integrating context-based digital learning tools into early childhood education to make abstract mathematical concepts more concrete and engaging. The findings are significant for educators and curriculum developers seeking innovative approaches to early childhood instruction. However, the study's limitations include its small sample size and lack of a control group, which may affect the generalizability of results. Future research should involve larger, randomized samples and explore the game's impact on other developmental domains. Additionally, expanding the content of digital games to include environmental and cultural elements—such as Kalimantan’s biodiversity—may enrich children's learning experiences while promoting local knowledge.

Abstract

One of the receptive language abilities that must be developed in early childhood before progressing to more advanced stages is the capacity for early reading. Language development in twins tends to be slower compared to that of children in general. Difficulties commonly observed include challenges in word pronunciation and verbal reading. Cryptophasia is a unique phenomenon in the language development of twins; crypto'' means secret, and phasia'' refers to a speech disorder. The purpose of this research is to collect data from a representative sample to draw broader conclusions about early reading abilities in twins. This survey-based study employs a quantitative methodology, focusing on 66 twins in Samarinda. Data were collected using a research instrument checklist comprising nine basic items. Each item is scored on a scale from zero to five. Survey results, with a maximum score of one, reveal the following average abilities: recognizing vowel letters (3.64); recognizing consonant letters (2.71); spelling consonant-vowel patterns (1.68); spelling open syllables V-C-V (1.70); spelling identical open syllables C-V-C-V (1.68); spelling varied open syllables C-V-C-V (1.67); spelling closed syllables C-V-C-V-C (1.59); spelling syllables with diphthongs (1.59); and spelling syllables with double consonants (1.47). The overall average early reading ability score among young twins is 1.85. The findings indicate that the reading ability of twins is lower than that of children in general. Strong vowel recognition and moderate consonant recognition serve as the foundation for reading development. However, the low ability to spell syllables highlights the need for targeted intervention, particularly due to the influence of cryptophasia. Although this study was conducted in Kalimantan Timur, it offers valuable insights into early reading abilities in twins. Future research is recommended to further explore twin language development in diverse contexts.

Abstract

Kemampuan menempel menjadi suatu faktor yang penting untuk menstimulasi perkembangan motorik halus anak. Tujuan dilangsungkannya studi ini yakni untuk mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan kolase dengan bahan loose part terhadap kemampuan menempel anak. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui jenis studi pra-eksperimen yang menerapkan desain one grup pre-test and post-test dan menerapkan sampel yakni sejumlah 19 anak di TK Al Raudah Samarinda. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas instrumen, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, analisis statistik deskriptif, dan uji hipotesis mengunakan uji T. merujuk pada temuan studi ini, kemampuan menempel sebelum diberi perlakuan pre-test adalah 21.16 dan sesudah perlakuan post-test 58,53 sehingga kemampuan menempel anak meningkat 37,37 dan berpengaruh signifikan terbukti bahwa skor Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05. Dengan ini dapat dilihat bahwa ada pengaruh kegiatan kolase dengan bahan loose part terhadap kemampuan menempel anak usia 5-6 tahun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan sikap sopan santun pada anak yang berhubungan dengan lingkungan sosial terdekat anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak dapat menunjukkan sikap menghormati orang yang lebih tua, mengucapkan kata-kata seperti maaf, tolong, dan permisi, serta memberikan salam saat bertemu dengan guru. Hal ini terkait dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif, seperti video animasi serta keterlibatan guru sebagai pemberi kegiatan edukatif dapat membangun sikap menghormati orang tua dan berkata santun.

Abstract

Menumbuhkan sikap toleransi harus diajarkan sejak dini untuk membangun karakter yang kuat pada anak untuk menghargai keberagaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi pendidik  dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi seperti sosial dan budaya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik obervasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari pendidik dan peserta didik. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menjukkan bahwa strategi seperti program “Piring Berbagi” yang berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kepedulian sosial anak, “SAYANG/Sahabat Anti Bullying” mencegah terjadinya bullying, pengenalan budaya melalui perayaan hari besar nasional, workshop membatik, dan pengenalan makanan tradisional menjadi sarana efektif dalam memahami keberagaman, serta media visual seperti poster dan video meningkatkan minat belajar anak. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan strategi yang kreatif terbukti efektid dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan sikap toleransi dan membentuk karakter anak sesuai dengan tahap perkembangannya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical abilities of 5-6-year-old children in kindergartens across Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict. The 2018 and 2022 PISA results indicate that Indonesia's mathematical abilities are still below the global average (around 500) (L. Sulistyo & Dwidayati, 2021). This problem is also found in several kindergartens in Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict, with some teachers reporting difficulties in students' ability to sequence numbers 1 through 20. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey research design. Data were collected through questionnaires given to kindergarten teachers who teach 5-6-year-old children (Group B) in Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict. The number of participants in this study was 100 children. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 22.0. The results showed that the early mathematical abilities of 5-6-year-old children in Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict still need to be improved. The average score of children's abilities on the 22 items observed was 2.01, which indicates that children's abilities are still in the "Beginning to Develop" stage. Specifically, children's abilities in mentioning numbers 1-20 (average score: 2.03), counting the number of objects in the picture (average score: 1.85), and showing numbers (average score: 2.1) are also still in the "Beginning to Develop" stage. This questionnaire includes questions about number recognition, simple addition, and other basic math concepts. This study has limitations, including a relatively small sample size and reliance on teacher reports. The implication of this research is the need for early intervention to improve the mathematical abilities of children in Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict, especially in arithmetic and number recognition skills.
