Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam membuat karya tulis ilmiah melalui aplikasi mendeley reference manager. Kegiatan pelatihan dihadiri oleh 26 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Jambi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini meliputi persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan persiapan merupakan kegiatan untuk menganalisis masalah dan mempersiapkan materi yang akan disampaikan pada kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi mendeley reference manager. Kegiatan pelaksanaan meliputi penyampaian materi, demonstrasi penggunaan aplikasi mendeley reference manager, praktik menggunakan aplikasi mendeley reference manager oleh mahasiswa, dan diskusi. Kegiatan evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur tingkat ketercapaian pelaksanaan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi mendeley reference manager yang telah dilakukan. Berdasarkan evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan aplikasi mendeley reference manager setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Kriteria ketercapaian kegiatan pelatihan adalah sangat baik dengan nilai 4,52.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the application of the discovery learning model in practicum learning to improve student communication and collaboration skills. The samples used in this study were students who attended inorganic chemistry practicum lectures in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research with class R-002 as the experimental class and R-004 as the control class. Data on communication and collaboration skills were obtained using questionnaire techniques which were then processed with the manova test. The results obtained show that the application of the discovery learning model in practicum learning is effective for improving student communication and collaboration skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) menguji efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL dalam meningkatkan self efficacy (2) menguji efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Jambi yang mengikuti mata kuliah penilaian proses dan hasil belajar kimia kelas B tahun akademik 2022/2023. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Data penelitian ini diperoleh menggunakan teknik angket dan soal hasil belajar. Teknik angket digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai self efficacy, sedangkan teknik soal digunakan untuk memperoleh hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji paired samples t test. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat peningkatan self efficacy yang signifikan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL, (2) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang signifikan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL. Saran untuk penelitian berikutnya adalah yaitu diterapkan model pembelajaran yang lain dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran yang bermakna untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

Memorization activities in learning make students' critical thinking skills and creativity unable to develop. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the discovery learning model in practicum activities in improving students' critical thinking skills and creativity. The research design is a quasi-experimental model. The sample used in this study were students of the Chemistry Education Study Program at Jambi University who took the inorganic chemistry practicum course in the 2022/2023 academic year, class R-002, the experimental class, and class R-004, the control class. The questionnaire instrument obtained data on critical thinking skills and creativity. Data analysis techniques to determine the increase in critical thinking skills and creativity after applying the discovery learning model using the Manova test. The results of this study indicate that practicum learning with the discovery learning model effectively increases students' critical thinking and creativity, especially for Chemistry Education students at Jambi University who are conducting Inorganic Chemistry practicum in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the correlation of critical thinking skills with learning activities after the application of the flipped classroom-PjBL learning model. The sample used in this study were students who took the assessment of the process and learning outcomes of chemistry class C in the 2022/2023 academic year of the Jambi University Chemical Education Study Program. The research method used is the correlation method with a quantitative approach. Research data were obtained using a questionnaire before and after the application of the flipped classroom-PjBL learning model to data on critical thinking skills and student learning activities. The questionnaire on critical thinking consists of 5 statements, while the questionnaire on learning activity consists of 10 statements. Data regarding critical thinking skills and learning activities were carried out Pearson correlation test to determine the relationship between the dependent variables, the correlation level of critical thinking skills and learning activities was carried out product-moment correlation test. The results of this study are that there is a very good correlation between students' critical thinking skills and learning activities after the application of the flipped classroom-PjBL learning model, the correlation level of critical thinking skills to learning activities is very high with a value of 0.813.

Abstract

Abstrak:.Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran praktikum dengan model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan kolaborasi dan kreativitas mahasiswa. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Jambi dengan yang mengikuti mata kuliah praktikum kimia anorganik pada tahun akademik 2022/2023 kelas R-002 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas R-004 sebagai kelas kontrol. Jenis penelitian yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini merupakan model penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Teknik angket digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian kemampuan kolaborasi dan kreativitas mahasiswa. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya diuji analisis dengan uji manova. Kemampuan kolaborasi mahasiswa setelah penerapan model discovery learning adalah 86,8, sedangkan kreativitas mahasiswa setelah penerapan model discovery learning adalah 88,3, Berdasarkan uji manova yang telah dilakukan diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,00 atau kurang dari 0,05, sehingga hasil dari pada penelitian ini yaitu model pembelajaran praktikum dengan model discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kolaborasi dan kreativitas mahasiswa.Abstract:  The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of practicum learning models with discovery learning models in improving student collaboration and creativity. The samples used in this study were students of the Jambi University, Chemistry Education Study Program who took the inorganic chemistry practicum course in the 2022/2023 academic year, class R-002 as the experimental class and class R-004 as the control class. The type of research applied in this study is a quasi-experimental research model. The questionnaire technique was used to collect research data on collaborative abilities and student creativity. The data obtained were then analyzed by manova test. The collaboration ability of students after the application of the discovery learning model is 86.8, while student creativity after the application of the discovery learning model is 88.3, Based on the manova test that has been carried out, the significance value is 0.00 or less than 0.05, so the results of this study are practicum learning models with discovery learning models effective in improving students' collaboration and creativity.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru SMA Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran khususnya laboratorium virtual berbasis aplikasi construct. Kegiatan pelatihan diikuti oleh 18 guru SMA Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi dari seluruh mata pelajaran. Kegiatan pelatihan terdiri dari tiga tahap kegiatan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan persiapan terdiri dari kegiatan analisis permasalahan di lapangan dan persiapan materi pelatihan. Kegiatan pelaksanaan pelatihan terdiri dari penyampaian materi pelatihan, demonstrasi pengembangan media laboratorium virtual berbasis aplikasi construct, dan kegiatan diskusi. Kegiatan evaluasi pelatihan bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat ketercapaian pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan di SMA Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi. Berdasarkan evaluasi mengenai pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan guru SMA Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi dalam mengembangkan media laboratorium virtual menggunakan aplikasi construct. Nilai ketercapaian pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan adalah 4,37 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Guru dituntut untuk selalu belajar dan mampu menjadikan pembelajaran bermakna dan menarik bagi peserta didik. Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi dapat menjadikan motivasi dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik menjadi kurang. Sarana dan prasarana pendukung pembelajaran seperti laboratorium yang tidak maksimal menjadikan kompetensi yang dimiliki peserta didik menjadi rendah, Berdasarkan kondisi nyata di lapangan, tim civitas akademika FKIP Universitas Jambi memberikan alternatif berupa pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMA Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi dalam bidang ICT sebagai akses sumber belajar praktikum menggunakan aplikasi PhET Simulation. Kegiatan persiapan meliputi tahap analisis masalah di SMA Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi dan mempersiapan materi pelatihan. Kegiatan pelaksanaan meliputi dari penyampaian materi, cara menggunakan aplikasi PhET Simulation, dan diskusi. Kegiatan evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui ketercapaian dan kebermafaatan pelatihan. Berdasarkan pelatihan yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi PhET Simulation. Ketercapaian pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan berdasarkan isian angket adalah 4,52 dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' 4C skills by applying a chemistry learning model assisted by chemo entrepreneurship media. 4C skills or 21st century skills include communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. The subjects of this study were students of the Jambi University Chemical Education Research Program in the psychology of learner development course class B in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data on 4C skills were collected using a questionnaire before and after the application of a project-based learning model supported by chemo entrepreneurship media. Data related to 4C skills were then tested using paired sample t-test. The significance test results with paired sample t-test showed a value of 0.00. These results are less than 0.05 so that this study shows the application of project-based learning models assisted by chemo enterpreneurship media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of implementing a project-based learning model by utilizing natural materials to improve students' 4C skills. 4C skills include critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity skills. The sample used in this study were students who attended the R-001 class of natural material chemistry lectures in the 2023/2024 academic year of the Jambi University Chemistry Education Study Program. This research is a quasi-experimental type research with a one group pretest-posttest scheme design. Data on 4C skills were obtained using a questionnaire before and after the application of the project-based learning model by utilizing natural chemistry. Data on 4C skills were then subjected to paired samples t test. The results of the paired samples t test significance test showed a value of 0.00. These results are smaller than 0.05, so this study shows that the application of the project-based learning model by utilizing natural materials can improve students' 4C skills.
