Abstract

Teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi do not understand much about interactive media such as wordwall applications and learning media is still dominated by powerpoint media due to the lack of references in developing alternative media that can motivate students in learning. The purpose of this activity is to train the skills of SMA Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi teachers in implementing wordwall interactive media to create an innovative and creative learning environment. The wordwall interactive media implementation training activities were carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi on July 17, 2024 which was attended by 32 teachers from all subject areas. The methods used in this training include initial analysis which aims to find out the problems in partner schools, implementation, and evaluation of training activities. Based on the training activities that have been carried out, it shows that teachers are very enthusiastic in developing wordwall media. The results of the questionnaire showed that the improvement of teacher skills obtained the highest score of 4.72.

Abstract

Teachers play an important role in the quality of learning that is carried out. The limited ability of teachers to operate software or flipbook maker platforms makes learning media that is diverse cannot be developed and applied optimally. Therefore, training for SMA Negeri 15 Muaro Jambi teachers in developing skills through making flipbooks is needed. The training was held on July 18, 2024 at SMA Negeri 15 Muaro Jambi which was attended by 18 teachers from all subjects. The methods used in this training include preparation, implementation and evaluation methods. Skill development training activities through making flipbooks as an independent learning resource that have been carried out have an average achievement of 4.48 with a very good category. The training participants were very enthusiastic about the training conducted regarding making flipbooks as an independent learning resource because SMA Negeri 15 Muaro Jambi teachers experienced an increase in adequate technical skills and creativity and innovation in making flipbook teaching materials.

Abstract

Kegiatan pendampingan penulisan gagasan pada artikel bertujuan untuk mendampingi mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa, memahami konsep artikel, dan meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menuliskan gagasannya dalam bentuk artikel. Fokus kegiatan adalah memberikan pendampingan kepada mahasiswa dalam penulisan artikel dan menerbitkannya di media online. Tahapan-tahapan kegiatan pendampingan, yakni a) perencanaan, yang terdiri dari menganalisis permasalahan, menentukan tujuan/target kegiatan dan bentuk kegiatan; b) pelaksanaan, yang terdiri dari sosialisasi/penyampaian kegiatan di kelas dan diskusi interaktif terkait permasalahan yang dianalisis; dan c) evaluasi, yang dilihat berdasarkan hasil kerja mahasiswa dalam melahirkan satu artikel. Hasil kegiatan yakni mahasiswa mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan menuangkannya dalam artikel yang berhasil terbit di media online.

Abstract

The development of technology that makes everything easy has an impact on the world of education. The existence of artificial intelligence makes new challenges for lecturers and teachers in creating interesting and interactive learning. Equipping students in developing and using interactive learning media is needed as an effort to keep up with the times and create meaningful learning. The purpose of this activity is to train students in using the quizwhizzer application as an interactive evaluation media. The methods used in this activity include training preparation, training implementation, and training evaluation. Based on the evaluation results, students benefit from the activities that have been carried out. Students have the ability to develop and use the quizwhizzer application as an interactive evaluation media. This can be a provision for students in creating interactive learning in internship activities and after graduating from lecture activities. The magnitude of the impact of provision to students in the form of training activities that have been carried out, it is recommended that similar training activities be carried out using other evaluation applications.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to train data analysis and interpretation based on validation and reliability tests using the Microsoft Excel application. Data analysis and interpretation training activities using the microsoft excel application were carried out in room L-101 FKIP Jambi University which was attended by 20 students. The purpose of this training activity is to improve students' data analysis and interpretation skills using the Microsoft Excel application, so that it is expected to facilitate students in conducting research and improve the quality of student research. Data analysis and interpretation training activities using the Microsoft Excel application consist of three stages of activity, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. Based on the training activities that have been carried out, students feel happy with the training activities that have been carried out. Students know the features and benefits of Microsoft excel application more widely. The existence of Microsoft excel application training can be utilized to develop their knowledge.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran flipped classroom-PjBL (2) mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas belajar dengan penerapan model pembelajaran flipped classroom-PjBL. Sampel dalam penerapan model pembelajaran flipped classroom-PjBL adalah mahasiswa mata kuliah penilaian proses dan hasil belajar kimia kelas C tahun akademik 2022/2023 Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Jambi pada. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik angket untuk mengumpulkan data kemampuan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah penilaian proses dan hasil belajar kimia yang diberi penerapan model pembelajaran flipped classroom-PjBL. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji paired samples t test. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang signifikan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran flipped classroom-PjBL (2) adanya peningkatan aktivitas belajar yang signifikan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran flipped classroom-PjBL.

Abstract

The service activity is motivated by the fact that the political participation of the younger generation is still lacking and this needs to be remembered considering the very large number of segments in the 2024 election. This activity aims to provide insight into political education to the younger generation to increase awareness and increase the political participation of the younger generation and so that it is not easy influencing hoax news that developed in the year leading up to the election. Activities were carried out in the form of offline and dare public lectures via YouTube and Zoommeeting on September 18 2023. Activities were carried out in two stages, namely planning and implementation. Activities can broaden students' insight as young millennials and new voters regarding politics are increasing, thus increasing their awareness in politics. Public lectures also strengthen the political understanding of the younger generation so that they are not easily influenced by hoax news related to certain issues by first checking information about the issue. Through this activity, it is hoped that it can increase the political understanding and awareness of the younger generation. Kegiatan pengabdian dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa partisipasi politik generasi muda masih kurang dan perlu ditingkatkan mengingat jumlah segmentasi ini yang sangat besar pada pemilu 2024. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan pendidikan politik kepada generasi muda untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan meningkatkan partisipasi politik generasi muda serta agar tidak mudah terpengaruh berita hoaks yang berkembang pada tahun menjelang pemilu. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk kuliah umum secara luring dan daring melalui Youtube dan Zoommeeting pada 18 September 2023. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan dua tahap yakni perencanaan dan pelaksanaan. Kegiatan dapat menambah wawasan mahasiswa sebagai generasi muda milenial dan pemilih pemula terkait politik bertambah sehingga meningkatkan kesadaran mereka dalam berpolitik. Kuliah umum juga memperkuat pemahaman politik generasi muda agar tidak mudah terpengaruh berita hoaks terkait isu-isu tertentu dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan pengecekkan informasi tentang isu tersebut. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran politik generasi muda.

Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan dapat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya penggunaan media dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Kegiatan pembelajaran sering berjalan tidak menarik dan interaktif karena tidak adanya media yang dapat meningkatkan semangat belajar peserta didik, seperti media wordwall yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran. Tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi wordwall. Kegiatan pelatihan meliputi kegiatan persiapan pelatihan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan evaluasi pelatihan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di ruang L.107 FKIP Universitas Jambi yang diikuti oleh 21 mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi kegiatan, menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa merasa senang dapat mengembangkan media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi wordwall. Peningkatan pengetahuan yang terjadi setelah kegiatan pelatihan, dapat dijadikan bekal dalam penyusunan tugas akhir maupun dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada kegiatan latihan praktik mengajar dan saat menjadi guru nantinya. Kegiatan pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan sangat bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa, sehingga disarankan kegiatan serupa dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi pembelajaran yang lain.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to apply the learning module flipbook with the STEAM approach in the philosophy of education course to improve students' scientific attitudes and collaboration skills. This study is experimental in nature and only uses one sample class. The subjects used in this study were Chemistry Education students at Jambi University who were taking chemical philosophy lectures. The utilization of the STEAM method in the learning module flipbook serves as the independent variable in this study, while the students' scientific mindset and teamwork abilities serve as the dependent variables. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire to obtain information about students' scientific attitudes and collaboration skills. The results showed that the application of the learning module flipbook with the STEAM approach in the philosophy of education course was effective in improving students' scientific attitudes and collaboration skills with a significance value of 0.00.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate how well whimsical applications with a project-based learning approach combined with a flipped classroom can raise student self-efficacy in educational digital psychology courses. This research is an experimental research with two sample groups, namely the experimental class which is given the effectiveness of applying the whimsical application using the project-based learning model integrated with the flipped classroom and the control class by applying project-based learning without using the whimsical application. A questionnaire was utilized in this study's data collection method to get information regarding students' self-efficacy both before and after the project-based learning model integrated flipped classroom was applied with whimsical apps. Hypothesis testing conducted in the study using independent-samples t test. The study's conclusion is that raising student self-efficacy in the educational digital psychology course can be achieved by the wacky use of the project-based learning model linked with the flipped classroom.
