Abstract

The public library is a common facility with thousands of book collections. In public libraries, visitors often encounter difficulties in finding the books they desire, and it's not uncommon for them to leave without locating their desired reads. To address this issue, the researcher proposes a system that includes book information and analytical tools to determine the most favored books in the library. In this study, the researcher applies the ROC and MOORA methods to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) for identifying the most preferred book choices, enabling the library to acquire books based on visitors' preferences. Four criteria are considered: book genre, number of book borrowings, popularity, and book availability. Testing is conducted by comparing six book data sets, with the research revealing that alternative data A1 "Katak Hendak Menjadi Lembu," is the most favored choice among library visitors, with a preference score of yi = 0.55. The results of this research can provide convenience for visitors in searching for books, thereby enhancing the quality of services and the availability of books in the library.

Abstract

In every industry or institution, there will definitely be a reward in the form of income for employees as compensation for the work they have done. Apart from giving out main income rewards to employees, each industry or institution often gives out rewards in addition to main income to encourage the productivity and abilities of its employees. The rewards given to McD Pancing employees are in additional form and will be given outside of their main income. Evaluation of employee abilities is based on benchmarks that have been established by the institution. However, currently the system of giving rewards to McD Pancing employees has various shortcomings, such as giving rewards which are being tried based on individual analysis and the assessment is still individual, not transparent, less efficient and there is little precision or accuracy in giving rewards. To help select McD Pancing employees who are competent to receive rewards appropriately and carefully and respond to problems that arise, a Decision Support System (DSS) is needed as a solution to these cases. The expertise of the system for collecting decisions uses methods that have been created so that it is hoped that the assessment method will be much more accurate, efficient and efficient using the TOPSIS and SAW methods. The TOPSIS method is based on the design that the best filtered substitute not only has the shortest distance from the positive perfect solution but also has the longest distance from the minus perfect solution. Based on the results of this research, it is proven that employees who receive rewards as the best employees according to the SAW and TOPSIS method calculations are determined by employees with SAW calculation results of 87.06 and TOPSIS calculation results of 0.679 and mixed results of 43.89.

Abstract

This research discusses the utilization of the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method to determine the quality of oil in palm fruits. The palm oil industry is an important economic sector for Indonesia, significantly contributing to national income and the welfare of farmers. The quality of oil produced from palm fruits is a crucial factor affecting palm oil production. The TOPSIS method is used in this study because of its ability to synthesize various factors influencing oil quality, including moisture content, oil content, and the percentage of loose fruits. This method allows researchers to rank and evaluate oil quality based on its proximity to the ideal solution. In this study, each quality factor is weighted and analyzed to determine the palm fruits with the best oil quality. The results of applying the TOPSIS method in this study show that the use of this method is effective in identifying the optimal quality of palm fruit oil based on relevant criteria. The information generated from this research can provide valuable insights for palm oil farmers and producers. Additionally, the application of the TOPSIS method helps stakeholders optimize harvest time to enhance oil quality optimally and provides further understanding of the correlation between the quality of palm fruit oil and the resulting palm oil quality.

Abstract

Stunting pada balita merupakan masalah kesehatan yang signifikan di Indonesia, di mana kekurangan gizi dalam jangka waktu yang lama, bahkan sejak masa kehamilan, menjadi salah satu penyebab utamanya. Menurut United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), pada tahun 2020, diperkirakan terdapat 149,2 juta anak di bawah usia lima tahun yang mengalami stunting. Data dari Badan Kesehatan Dunia menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia menempati peringkat ketiga dalam kasus stunting global, dengan prevalensi mencapai 37%, dan data terbaru menunjukkan sekitar 24% anak di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan yang tidak optimal. Dalam upaya pencegahan stunting, penelitian ini melaksanakan program pemberian makanan tambahan (PMT) berupa bubur kacang hijau kepada masyarakat Desa Baru Pasar 8. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 5 Agustus 2024 dan dihadiri oleh lebih dari 30 peserta, termasuk ibu hamil dan keluarga. Program ini terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, yaitu observasi lokasi, penyuluhan kesehatan mengenai stunting, dan pemberian makanan tambahan. Penyuluhan kesehatan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyebab dan dampak stunting, serta cara-cara pencegahannya, dengan penekanan pada pentingnya asupan gizi yang baik selama 1000 hari pertama kehidupan anak. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi aktif masyarakat sangat baik, yang tercermin dari kehadiran peserta. Kerja sama antara mahasiswa dan pihak posyandu juga memperkuat upaya kolaboratif dalam pencegahan stunting. Diharapkan, melalui program ini, tidak hanya angka stunting dapat berkurang, tetapi juga status kesehatan keluarga secara keseluruhan dapat meningkat. Program ini berpotensi memberikan manfaat ekonomi bagi masyarakat melalui peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pengelolaan gizi yang baik

The application will be made as attractive and interactive as possible for its users. The application is designed to be mobile based and uses the Android operating system. Abstract

Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara (UINSU) is one of the growing higher education institutions in Tuntungan, Medan. As a university that continues to improve the quality of education and facilities for its students. Inefficient use of fuel can lead to waste of resources, increased operational costs, as well as a negative impact on the environment. This research aims to develop and implement greedy algorithm in determining efficient travel routes for students, lecturers, and administrative staff to UINSU Tuntungan campus. The results showed that the Greedy algorithm proved effective in determining the shortest route between several points, the test results showed that this application was able to generate the optimal route quickly. Users can easily determine the shortest path and estimate fuel requirements for travel to campus so that this application is very helpful in efficient travel planning.

Abstract

In the market, there are many different brands and types of modified vlegs, making vehicle owners often confused in making the optimal decision. Therefore, it is very important to have a decision-making system that can help vehicle owners in choosing the best modified wheels based on relevant criteria). In this study, researchers will develop a decision-making system that uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis (MOORA) methods to help vehicle owners in choosing the best modified wheels that best suit racing needs. In applying the AHP and MOORA algorithms to the SPK for selecting car tire wheels, 4 criteria are used, namely suitability, price, durability and design. Suggestions for further research can be used to add other relevant criteria in the selection of car tire wheels.

Abstract

Batik is one of the cultural heritages that must be preserved and developed. every business actor must experience very tight competition conditions, namely in the batik clothing business. Customer satisfaction is a very important aspect to pay attention to in order to increase business profits. The purpose of this research is to make it easier for Batik Berjaya Labuhanbatu Utara to find out what are the factors that affect customer satisfaction for the future development of Batik Berjaya Labuhanbatu Utara's business, and to find out the rediction results by looking at the accuracy of Naïve Bayes so that Batik Berjaya Labuhanbatu Utara can meet customer satisfaction. This research uses the Naive Bayes Algorithm Method whose results can later facilitate batik business managers in making decisions and improving the quality of products and services provided to customers. By calculating the classification results using the Naive Bayes algorithm with a total of 132 data, as a manual calculation, 30 data are used, namely, 80% of the training data totaling 24, 20% of the test data totaling 6 obtained accuracy 83.33%, precision 100%, recall 75%, specifity 100% and f1-score 85.71. Using the Naive Bayes algorithm helps classification, data in the form of attributes and labels are held training data and test data, where training data labeling must be determined at the beginning in the form of categorical information, namely satisfied and dissatisfied, then predictions are made based on the highest data to get satisfied and dissatisfied labels from test data.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and apply the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method in the context of determining motor oil brands, collect and process data on motor oil alternatives available on the market and evaluate the results of motor oil selection using the SAW method. This research identifies research variables adopted based on motorcycle engine oil criteria using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. There are four variables that form the basis of evaluation to determine the most popular shockbreaker brand: Size (C1), Type (C2), Viscosity (C3), Price (C4). The results of the study concluded that through the integration of the SAW method, researchers succeeded in building a comprehensive framework for evaluating relevant criteria in oil selection. The test results show that SAW is able to provide relative weights for each criterion used in this study and successfully rank oil alternatives based on the normalized value of each criterion. Based on the calculation results shown in the decision support system application, the first recommendation is Enduro Matic V followed by Yamalube Engine Oil Super Matic with a value of 1 and Shell Advance AX7 Scooter at rank 2 with a value of 0.96 and rank 3 AHM Oil Matic SPXX2 with a value of 0.863. The application that has been designed has a fairly good page display so that it provides convenience to users.
