Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengubah proses belajar mengajar menjadi lingkungan daring yang menantang bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris memerlukan eksposur luas, tetapi kendala infrastruktur kelas daring menyulitkan komunikasi langsung antara mahasiswa dan dosen serta sesama mahasiswa. Pembelajaran daring, meskipun dilakukan tanpa tatap muka, menggunakan platform dan jaringan internet serta bantuan gawai seperti laptop atau smartphone. Tiga faktor krusial dalam pendukung pembelajaran daring meliputi metode pengajaran, desain pembelajaran, dan ketersediaan infrastruktur. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus kualitatif yang mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang dalam pembelajaran daring. Observasi melalui Grup WhatsApp, Google Classroom, dan Zoom Meeting dari April hingga Juni 2021, didukung dengan dokumentasi tugas dan wawancara, mengungkap keterbatasan dalam pengelolaan kelas dan tantangan teknis. Hasil penelitian menyoroti keterbatasan variasi metode pengajaran, interaksi terbatas antara dosen dan mahasiswa, serta masalah infrastruktur dan ekonomi yang memengaruhi akses mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran daring. Untuk peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, perlu diperhatikan literasi digital mahasiswa, penyempurnaan platform pembelajaran daring, serta peningkatan akses infrastruktur. Kesimpulannya, pembelajaran daring, meski memberikan dampak positif bagi persiapan individu di masa mendatang, masih menghadapi berbagai masalah yang memerlukan perbaikan dalam administrasi, teknologi, dan infrastruktur agar lebih efektif, efisien, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Inggris melalui film berbahasa Inggris di platform YouTube. Dengan fokus pada sebuah sekolah vokasi di Karawang, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan instrumen berupa wawancara semi-struktural terhadap 5 partisipan dan penyebaran angket kepada 20 partisipan. Temuan penelitian ini disajikan berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan angket yang mencakup pengetahuan tentang ketersediaan film berbahasa Inggris di YouTube, kesulitan dalam memahami film tanpa terjemahan, minat terhadap pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Inggris melalui film di YouTube, gangguan teknis saat menonton film, serta persepsi terhadap strategi pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Inggris dengan memanfaatkan film di YouTube.Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa partisipan memiliki pengetahuan tentang ketersediaan film berbahasa Inggris di YouTube, tetapi mengalami kesulitan memahami isi film tanpa terjemahan ke bahasa Indonesia. Meskipun demikian, mereka menunjukkan minat yang tinggi terhadap metode pembelajaran ini. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa partisipan secara keseluruhan menyatakan bahwa menonton film berbahasa Inggris di YouTube dinilai menarik dan menghibur. Mereka juga sepakat bahwa penjelasan lebih lanjut dari pendidik tentang frasa atau idiom tertentu dalam film membantu pemahaman mereka dengan lebih cepat. Partisipan juga setuju bahwa film di YouTube memberikan wawasan tentang kebudayaan yang berbeda dan tidak melanggar norma kesopanan dan kesusilaan. Dari hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa partisipan menunjukkan respons positif terhadap pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Inggris melalui film berbahasa Inggris di YouTube.

Abstract

A good understanding can be a bridge for students to have exemplary learning achievements in their learning process. The introduction of practical learning methods in developing reading skills in English is a challenge that educators continue to face. to explore students' experiences in applying the Think-Pair-Share method in the context of learning to read in EFL classes. This research will focus on students' behavior of the Think-Pair-Share process, their responses to interactions in pairs, and the impact of using this method on their reading skills. The researcher used case study design to conduct this research. To analyze the data, the researcher adopted the thematic analysis. The participants in this study consisted of 7th-grade students at a junior high school in Karawang. The results indicated that students actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and paid attention to the teacher. This positive attitude was also evident in the improved quality of learning assignment outcomes. In learning to read English, the involvement of students in interactions and discussions illustrated the significance of this method.

Abstract

This study focused on investigate students’ attitude towards Quizizz in reading classroom. The participant took 4 students for being interviewed. The study used qualitative analysis to observe the data. The result showed students that they had positive responses to the Quizizz experience. The students indicated that they had positive attitude based on three components. In affective component, students revealed exhibit a high level of satisfaction and enthusiasm when using Quizizz in their reading classes. For behavioral, students are more willing to participate in class activities due to the interactive and enjoyable nature of Quizizz. Furthermore in cognitive Quizizz functions as a tool that aids students in understanding and engaging with the learning material more effectively

Abstract

While the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education has been widely discussed, there is little empirical evidence for student independence experiences. This study explores and collects information about the experiences students have while learning English online, their perceptions, and how their experiences shape their potential for autonomous learning. The current study uses a Narrative qualitative approach. Data was collected through an online form questionnaire, which was administered to 20 students in grades 11 and 12 of Vocational High School in Karawang. The purpose of this study is to review the use of English learning applications in increasing student autonomy and also students' perspectives in using these applications during online learning. The results showed that students participating in this study appeared to have a fairly good online English learning experience. It was highlighted that students' online learning experiences, in some ways, influenced their self-assessment potential for independent learning. They receive a variety of learning instructions and engage in various types of language learning activities. The majority of students find learning English online quite enjoyable, but many of them show considerable potential to act as independent learners.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan penelitian ini yaitu membahas pengaruh pelaksanaan kebijakan pembinaan keuangan pemerintah desa terhadap manajemen Anggran Pendapatan dan Belanja Desa (APBDes) dalam mewujudkan efektivitas pelaksanaan program kerja pembangunan desa di Kecamatan Bayongbong Kabupaten Garut. Metoda penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksplanasi dengan pendekatan teknik evaluasi, teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam pembahasan dengan teknik analisis causal effectual yang mengkaji dan menganalis hubungan rasional sebab akibat antara pelaksanaan kebijakan pembinaan keuangan pemerintah desa, manajemen APBDes dan efektivitas pelaksanaan program kerja pembangunan desa. Fokus penelitian adalah Kepala Desa di 65 desa di wilayah Kecamatan Bayongbong Kabupaten Garut dengan menggunakan sampling yaitu sensus. Hasil pembahasan menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan kebijakan pembinaan keuangn pemerintah desa berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap manajemen APBDes dan efektivitas pelaksanaan program kerja pembangunan desa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa efektivitas pelaksanaan progrm kerja pembangunan desa dapat terwujud apabila manajemen APBDes dilaksanakan secara maksimal yang didukung oleh pelaksanaan kebijakan pembinaan keuangan pemerintah desa dengan baik dan optimal

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate an integrated character development model for Vocational High School (SMK) students in Banten Province, Indonesia. A sequential exploratory mixed-methods design was employed, involving 4 teachers and 22 students from four purposively selected SMKs representing different regional and program characteristics. Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, classroom observations, and document analysis. Quantitative data were collected using a validated 30-item Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 22 students. The qualitative findings identified five core character values prioritized by stakeholders: discipline, responsibility, honesty, cooperation, and hard work. However, systematic character education implementation remained limited, with only 35% of classes integrating character values explicitly. The study also identified challenges such as limited instructional time, inconsistent teacher modeling, and insufficient resources. Quantitatively, student perceptions indicated strong agreement (82.07%) toward existing character initiatives, although disparities appeared across dimensions such as personal experiences, teacher–student interactions, and developmental challenges.The resulting model consists of three components: (1) curriculum-integrated character instruction, (2) enhanced extracurricular activities with defined character outcomes, and (3) personalized student mentoring supported by family–school collaboration. Pilot implementation over four months demonstrated improvements in students’ character knowledge (23.4%), attitudes (18.7%), and behavioral indicators (15.3%). The findings suggest that character development in SMK settings requires intentional, structured, and contextually relevant strategies supported by teachers, administrators, families, and industry partners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis urgensi dan bentuk pendidikan etika serta kesadaran digital dalam konteks penggunaan media sosial di era inovasi Artificial Intelligence (AI). Fokus kajian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan etika baru yang muncul dari integrasi AI di platform media sosial dan merumuskan kerangka pendidikan yang relevan untuk membangun literasi digital yang bertanggung jawab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur sistematis dengan pendekatan kualitatif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi AI memperuncing masalah etika bermedia sosial, seperti disinformasi yang terpersonalisasi, bias algoritma, pelanggaran privasi data, dan manipulasi psikologis. Kajian ini mengonfirmasi bahwa pendidikan etika digital konvensional tidak lagi memadai. Diperlukan pendekatan pendidikan yang proaktif dan adaptif, menekankan pada pemahaman kritis terhadap cara kerja algoritma, nilai privasi, keaslian identitas digital, serta tanggung jawab moral dalam berinteraksi di ruang yang telah dimediasi AI. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi pendidikan etika dan kesadaran digital berbasis AI menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam kurikulum formal dan non-formal untuk membentuk pengguna media sosial yang cakap dan berintegritas di era disruptif ini. Untuk mewujudkan pendekatan pendidikan yang adaptif tersebut, diperlukan kolaborasi multidimensional antara pemerintah, institusi pendidikan, perusahaan teknologi, dan komunitas. Kurikulum perlu dirancang secara dinamis, tidak hanya menyajikan teori tetapi juga simulasi interaksi dengan lingkungan digital berbasis AI, seperti praktik mengidentifikasi deepfake, menganalisis bias algoritma rekomendasi, atau menilai implikasi etis dari penyebaran data pribadi.

Abstract

Speaking activities in English classrooms often remain teacher-centered and lack opportunities for students to develop critical thinking. This study aims to analyze how debate activities facilitate teachers in implementing Project-Based Learning (PBL) in speaking instruction and to identify the challenges encountered during its application. Using a qualitative method with a case study design, the research was conducted at a senior high school in Bekasi. Data were collected through classroom observations and interviews with an English teacher and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results revealed that integrating debate into PBL effectively enhanced students’ speaking skills, particularly in fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and confidence. The teacher’s role shifted from instructor to facilitator, creating a more active and student-centered learning environment. Despite challenges such as limited time, varying student abilities, and inadequate school facilities, the debate-based PBL approach proved to promote communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. In conclusion, debate integration within PBL serves as an effective model to improve both linguistic competence and 21st-century learning skills.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays a strategic role in shaping the mindset, attitudes, and behavior of society based on Islamic values, including in terms of maintaining health and treatment. One important aspect that is often overlooked in IRE studies is the introduction to the concept of Thibbun Nabawi or the Prophet's medicine. This study aims to analyze how Islamic religious education contributes to increasing public awareness and understanding of the values of medicine taught by the Prophet Muhammad SAW, as well as how it is implemented in everyday life. The research method used is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach, which examines various Islamic literature, hadith, and relevant scientific works. The results of the study show that Islamic religious education not only plays a role in shaping spiritual piety, but also serves as an important instrument in fostering holistic awareness of the importance of physical and spiritual health. Through the integration of Thibbun Nabawi material into the curriculum, lectures, and da'wah activities, the community has gained a better understanding that maintaining health is part of worship and a divine mandate. Values such as balance, cleanliness, consumption of halal and thayyib food, as well as prayer-based and herbal medicine, can strengthen the community's paradigm of the Prophet's medicine as a solution. Thus, Islamic religious education plays a significant role in internalizing the Prophet's teachings on health into the culture of Muslims in a sustainable manner.
