Abstract

ABSTRAKAktifitas fisik berkontribusi terhadap stress oksidatif yang dapat mengakibatkan penurunan antioksidan sehingga mempengaruhi kebugaran fisik. Antioksidan diperlukan tubuh untuk menetralisir radikal bebas dan mencegah kerusakan stress oksidatif. Telah diketahui kandungan buah naga merah kaya antioksidan berguna untuk menetralkan stress oksidatif yang terjadi akibat aktifitas fisik. Salah satu cara menilai kebugaran fisik seseorang dengan mengukur nilai VO2 max dan denyut nadi pemulihan. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi experimental dirancang dengan pre – post control group design. Populasi dan sampel penelitian mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran UMSU sebanyak 32 orang yang memenuhi kriteria dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol selama 4 minggu. Dilakukan pengukuran VO2 max dan denyut nadi pemulihan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil yang signikan didapati nilai VO2 max sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dengan nilai p = 0.004 (p 0.05) dan denyut nadi pemulihan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dengan nilai rerata dari 80 per menit menurun menjadi 75 per menit. Kesimpulan penelitian, bahwa dengan pemberian jus buah naga merah mempunyai pengaruh terhadap peningkatan fungsi kardiorespirasi, dengan demikian tentunya dapat menunjukan tingkat kebugaran fisik lebih baik.Kata kunci: Buah Naga Merah, VO2 max, Denyut Nadi Pemulihan ABSTRACTPhysical activity contributes to oxidative stress which can result in a decrease in antioxidants that affects physical fitness. Antioxidants are needed by the body to neutralize free radicals and prevent damage to oxidative stress. It is known that the content of antioxidant-rich red dragon fruit is useful for neutralizing oxidative stress triggered by physical activity. One way to assess one's physical fitness is by measuring the VO2 max value and recovery pulse rate. This study was a quasi-experimental study with pre-post test only group design. Research subjects were 32 students, which were divided into 2 groups, the treatment and control group for 4 weeks. VO2 max and recovery pulse measurements were taken. This study showed increased found VO2 max values before and after treatment p = 0.004 (p 0.05) and the recovery rate before and after treatment with a value means of 80 per minute decreased to 75 per minute. Abstract

Kadar asam laktat yang tinggi pada atlet akan memberikan dampak negatif karena akan mempercepat kelelahan. Skala Borg digunakan untuk menilai tanggapan yang dirasakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan aerobik dapat menurunkan asam laktat dan skala borg. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimental dengan rancangan eksperimen ulang non-random. Penelitian dilakukan untuk membandingkan kadar asam laktat dan skala borg sebelum dan sesudah program latihan pada tiga kelompok, yaitu kelompok perlakuan latihan aerobik intensitas ringan (LAIR), kelompok latihan aerobik intensitas sedang (LAIS) dan kelompok kontrol. Penelitian dilaksanakan di stadion sepakbola Harapan Bangsa Banda Aceh dengansubjek atlet sepakbola PPLP Dispora Aceh. Rerata kadar asam laktat ketiga kelompok menunjukkan perbedaan. Penurunan asam laktat setelah uji latih yang bermakna terlihat pada kelompok dengan LAIS (p=0,04). Rerata skala Borg ketiga kelompok menunjukkan perbedaan. Penurunan nilai scoring skala Borg setelah uji latih yang berbeda bermakna terlihat pada kelompok dengan LAIS (p=0,012) dan LAIR (p=0,008). Latihan aerobik yang dilakukan dengan intensitas, durasi dan frekuensi yang tepat dapat meningkatkan performa dan prestasi atlet.

Abstract

Abstrak: Aterosklerosis adalah penyakit kronis yang dapat menyebabkan kematian diawali inflamasi pembuluh darah oleh hiperlipidemia.  Pemakaian minyak jelantah  menyebabkan peningkatan asam lemak trans, asam lemak bebas dan radikal bebas sehingga memicu terjadinya aterosklerosis. Salah satu biomarker aterosklerosis adalah CD40. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran imunohistokimia CD40 pada aorta jantung tikus Wistar jantan (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi minyak jelantah. Penelitian ini adalah true experimental dengan rancangan randomize post-test only control group design. Jumlah sampel adalah 12 ekor tikus Wistar jantan sehat, umur 3-4 bulan dan berat 150-200 gram, dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok. K0(diet normal), K1(5 kali penggorengan),  K2(10 kali penggorengan), K3(15 kali penggorengan) selama 60 hari dan menghitung score CD40. Hasil uji Kruskal-Wallis diperoleh adanya perbedaan yang bermakna antara keempat kelompok perlakuan (p0,05). Gambaran imunohistokimia CD40 pada K3(15 kali penggorengan) lebih tinggi dibandingkan K1 (5 kali penggorengan) dan K2 (10 kali penggorengan). Minyak jelantah dapat meningkatkan CD40 yang memicu aterosklerosis.Kata kunci: Aterosklerosis, minyak jelantah, CD40Abstract: Atherosclerosis is a chronic disease that cause death and begins inflammation of blood vessel by hiperlipidemia. It is associated with increased trans fatty acids, free fatty acids, and free radical compounds due consumption of deep frying oil that can trigger atherocslerosis. One of the biomarkers of atherosclerosis is CD40. The purpose of this study was to determine immunohistochemical images of CD40 in aorta of male Wistar rat (Rattus norvegicus) induced by deep frying oil. This research is true experimental with randomize post-test only control group design. The experimental animals were 12 healthy male Wistar rats age 3-4 month and weight between 150-200g. Male wistar rat were randomly divided into 4 group. Group K0 (control) was given standart diet, group K1 was given orally  deep fried oil 5 times, group K2 was given orally deep fried oil 10 times, group K3 was given orally deep fried oil 15 times for 60 day. The Imunohistochemical examination assessed score of CD40. The Kruskal-Wallis test showed that imunohistochemical of CD40 were significantly different among the four groups (p0,05). Imunohistochemical of CD40 in group K3(deep fried 15 times) is higher than group K1(deep fried 5 times) and K2(deep fried 10 times). Deep frying oil inceased that mount of CD40 and induced risk of aterosclerosis.Keywords: Atherosclerosis, deep frying oil, CD40

Abstract

Kelelahan selama berolahraga menjadi suatu masalah yang dapat mengakibatkan terpuruknya suatu prestasi. Kondisi ini menjadi permasalahan yang sering dihadapi para atlet pada saat bertanding karena kekurangan cadangan energi dan tingginya kadar asam laktat di dalam darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan aerobik intensitas ringan dan sedang dapat memperlambat kelelahan selama berolahraga pada atlet sepakbola aceh. Penelitian kuasi eksperimental dengan rancangan eksperimen ulang non-random (non randomized pretest-posttest with control group design). Penelitian dilakukan untuk membandingkan kadar asam laktat perifer , waktu uji latih sampai lelah dan skala Borg (persepsi rasa sesak dan kaki lelah) sebelum dan sesudah program latihan pada 3 kelompok, yaitu kelompok perlakuan latihan aerobik intensitas ringan (LAIR), kelompok latihan aerobik intensitas sedang (LAIS) dan kelompok kontrol. Penelitian dilaksanakan di stadion sepakbola Harapan Bangsa Banda aceh. Subjek penelitian adalah atlet sepakbola Dispora Aceh yang tergabung dalam PPLP. Penurunan asam laktat setelah uji latih yang bermakna terlihat pada kelompok dengan LAIS (p= 0,04). Rerata waktu lelah ketiga kelompok menunjukkan perbedaan. Peningkatan waktu lelah setelah uji latih yang berbeda bermakna terlihat pada kelompok dengan LAIS (p = 0.009). Rerata skala borg sesak ketiga kelompok menunjukkan perbedaan. Penurunan nilai scoring skala borg sesak setelah uji latih yang berbeda bermakna terlihat pada kelompok dengan LAIS (p = 0.000). Rerata skala borg kaki lelah ketiga kelompok menunjukkan perbedaan. Penurunan nilai scoring skala borg kaki lelah setelah uji latih yang berbeda bermakna terlihat pada kelompok dengan LAIS (p = 0.012) dan LAIR (p = 0.008). Latihan aerobik yang dilakukan dengan intensitas, durasi dan frekuensi yang tepat dapat meningkatkan performa dan prestasi atlet. Pada penelitian ini menunjukkan latihan aerobik intensitas sedang dapat berpengaruh dalam memperlambat kelelahan selama berolahraga pada atlet sepakbola Aceh.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused people to engage in social distancing, namely by staying at home and closing schools.The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on students lead to online lectures, resulting in excessive use of electronic devicesand resulting in changes to sleep homoestasis. Sleep quality is a feeling of enthusiasm and fitness after awakening fromsleep. Low sleep quality will affect academic activities, behavioral changes and emotional disturbances. A factor that canimprove sleep quality is physical activity, namely by exercising. To determine the effect of moderate intensity aerobicexercise at home on sleep quality during the COVID-19 pandemic in FK UMSU students. This study uses an experimentalmethod with a one group pre and pos test research design with a control group design. Sleep quality was measured usingthe Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire, and measurements were made twice, namely before and afteraerobic exercise intervention. Samples were taken using consecutive sampling technique with a total sample of 36 peopleusing Federer's formula. From the results of this study, all study respondents experienced disturbances in the quality of theirsleep. The results of the Wilcoxon test in the intervention group found p = 0.001, and in the control group it was found p =1,000. Where the moderate intensity aerobic exercise intervention group affected the quality of sleep of FK UMSU studentsduring the COVID-19 pandemic. In the intervention group there was an increase in the quality of sleep in UMSU FK studentsafter being given moderate intensity aerobic exercise. So that moderate intensity aerobic exercise is one of thenonpharmacological methods for people who have sleep quality disturbances.

Abstract

The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic is still ongoing today. Health protocols are in place and students are advisedto stay at home. The limitation of activities due to this pandemic has a negative impact on health due to physical inactivityand secondary behaviour. Cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) is one of the vital indicators that describes an individual's overallhealth. Aerobic exercise has previously been shown to increase CRF. This study was a pre-test and post-test control groupdesign. The subjects in this study used consecutive sampling as many as 32 FK UMSU students. The intervention groupperformed moderate intensity aerobic exercise at home for 4 weeks, while the control group was not given any intervention.The research instrument used the Astrand-ryhming Step Test method to measure the VO2max value. Statistical analysisused the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney test. There was an average CRF increase of 2.4% after moderate intensityaerobic exercise at home and a decrease in mean CRF of 18.9% in the control group. Statistically, the increase in CRF in theintervention group was not significant (p> 0.05). The Mann-Whitney test also showed insignificant results (p> 0.05). There isno effect of moderate intensity aerobic exercise at home on cardiorespiratory fitness during the COVID-19 pandemic amongFK UMSU students.

Abstract

Health protocol in covid-19 pandemic had impacted the daily live of the society drastically, students are no exception.Students are constantly faced with stressors that could potentially manifest into mental health problem if it were toaccumulate without relaxation period. One of the stress coping strategy is to exercise routinely, but the options are limiteddue to the health protocols. The type of exercise that could decrease perceived stress level is moderate intensity aerobicexercise. 32 samples with moderate perceived stress level are allocated into two groups which are intervention group andcontrol group. The samples in intervention group were instructed to follow the intervention prescription of moderate intensityaerobic exercise at home for 4 weeks and monitored online, whereas the samples in control group were not doing anyexercise. Stress level of all samples were measured before and after the period of intervention using PSS-10 questionnaire.Mann Whitney test result shows significant realtion between moderate intensity aerobic exercise at home and the studentsstress level with P value = 0.002 (p<0.05). Spearman’s rho shows the relation between variables are significant, with strongand positive correlation with correlation coefficient = 0.564. The result of this study has shown that moderate intensityaerobic exercise at home could be an option as an attempt to cope with stress in time of covid-19 pandemy.

Abstract

Sleep affects the ability to concentrate, speak, understand what we are reading, and conclude what we are hearing. If the sleep is disturbed, then it also disturbed mood, body functions and social relationships with people around. The concentration and understanding of a person are influenced by serotonin neurotransmitters whose concentration will decrease if lack of sleep. Therefore, to obtain adequate and balanced serotonin concentrations, an adequate quantity of sleep is required. Objective: the purpose of study is to determine the relationship of quantity of sleep with the level of concentration at student class of 2014. Method: analytical descriptive with the cross sectional design. A total of 96 respondents were selected with total sampling technique. Sleep quantity data were taken using the Pittsburgh quality sleep index (PSQI) and the concentration level of the Stroop test. At the end of the research, Gamma statistical test was done to find out the relationship between the two variables.Results:statistic analysis using spearman test, n =96, p = 0,001 (p <0,05), and r =0944.Conclusion: in this research, there is a correlation between quantity of sleep with the level of concentration at student class of 2014, in Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

The elderly population is expected to increase over time. based on project's data, the prediction of increasing population in2020 reached 11.34% (27.08 million) people. the high number of Indonesian elderly not only has a positive impact in thefuture, but also negative impact. the elderly's problem are the aging process. aging is a process of physiological changesthat make body become weaker. the changes that shown in the body is physical functions, physical, cognitive, and even sosocial emotional. according to the centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), moderate intensity exercise that beingcarried out regularly 3-5 times over 30 minutes that can provide benefit in emotional change. based on the introduction of theresearcher have described before, the researcher is interested to knowing the effect of moderate intensity exercise on theemotional change of elderly at the Pimpinan Ranting Aisyiyah Cabang Melati. To find out the influence between moderateexercise towards emotional change in elderly at Pimpinan Ranting Aisyiyah Cabang Melati. This study is experimental usingquasi experiment pre-test post-test control group design. Data are collected by ERQ quesionairre. Results of this researchused paired sample t test. Using paired sample t test analysis obtained the value P, p=0.001 in the group of respondentswho were given the intervention which means there is an effect between moderate intensity exercise towards emotional.There is an effect between moderate intensity exercise towards emotional change in Elderly at Pimpinan Ranting AisyiyahCabang Melati.
