Abstract

Science Teacher's Perception of Digital Technology-Based Learning in the 21st Century. Objective: The research aims to identify science teachers' perceptions of digital technology-based learning in the 21st century. Method: This type of research is survey research. Perception data was collected through questionnaires and interviews of 30 science teachers in West Sumatra. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis. Findings: It was found that the main components determining the success of digital technology-based science learning are competence, effort, and teacher commitment. Teachers are greatly helped to prepare learning plans, choose teaching materials and media, carry out learning, and evaluate with digital technology. This affects the student's learning process and outcomes. Students feel interested, excited, and enthusiastic. Conclusion: 21st-century skills can be trained through learning based on digital technology. These findings can serve as a basis in determining the models and media of science learning based on digital technology in the 21st century.Keywords: perception, digital technology, 21st-century skills.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i1.202222

Abstract

The objective research is to develop reaction rate student worksheets based on PBL integrated with ethnoscience and determine the validity and practicality. Type of research used is Educational Design Research with Plomp’s development models. There are two stage: preliminary research, prototyping and assessment, but this research is limited to the prototype III stage.  Subjects of this research consist of 3 chemistry lecturers FMIPA UNP, 2 chemistry teachers, and 9 students of Phase F SMAN 2 Padang. There are two instruments used, which are validity and practicality questionnaires.  Aiken's V formula was used to analyze the validity data obtained, while the practicality data was analyzed by the percentage method. The results showed an average V value of 0.87 in the valid category. Meanwhile, the practicality of the students' response was obtained at 89% and the teacher's response was 90% with a very practical category. Results of this research are the reaction rate student worksheets based on PBL integrated with ethnoscience for critical thinking is valid and practical, so this student worksheets can to continue to determine its effectiveness.Keywords: Liveworksheets, Problem Based Learning, Reaction Rates, Ethnoscience, and Critical Thinking.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i3.32269

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan bahan ajar yang diharapkan dapat membantu proses pembelajaran pada materi ikatan kimia. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 2 prang guru kimia serta 30 orang peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 2 Padang dan 18 orang peserta didik kelas X SMAN Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dengan 2 orang guru kimia dan angket analisis kebutuhan yang diberikan kepada peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berdiferensiasi masih belum diterapkan oleh guru serta belum tersedianya bahan ajar sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik pada materi ikatan kimia menggunakan liveworksheets. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini dibutuhkan LKPD berbasis PBL menggunakan liveworksheets yang diharapkan dapat membantu guru dan peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi ikatan kimia.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v12.i3.23.14

Abstract

Penerapan pembelajaran berkelompok berbantuan LKPD dengan model pembelajaran tertentu belum mampu memaksimalkan keterlibatan dan keaktifan peserta didik selama belajar karena cenderung hanya mengandalkan teman kelompoknya. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai upaya memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran kimia dari segi keaktifan peserta didik melalui penggunaan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Game Tournament (TGT) berbantuan permainan Choose Take Answer (CTA). Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 33 peserta didik kelas X SMA pada bulan Mei selama dua siklus. Setiap siklus meliputi beberapa tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Setiap rangkaian kegiatan penelitian dilakukan secara kolaboratif bersama dosen pembimbing, guru kimia, dan rekan sejawat. Lembar observasi digunakan untuk mencatat aktivitas belajar peserta didik yang meliputi aktivitas belajar dasar (mengamati, menanya/mencoba, dan mencari) dan aktivitas belajar lanjut (berdialog, mengkomunikasikan, dan berkolaborasi) sebagai indikator keaktifan peserta didik selama tindakan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keaktifan peserta didik pada pembelajaran kimia pada siklus I sebesar 50,5% (kategori sedang) dan siklus II sebesar 72,1% (kategori sedang). Peningkatan keaktifan terjadi secara signifikan mulai dari sebelum tindakan, tindakan siklus I, hingga tindakan siklus II dengan besar kenaikan dari keadaan awal sebesar 31,8%. Hasil ini menunjukkan keaktifan belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran kimia dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif TGT berbantuan permainan CTA, sehingga dapat diterapkan pada pembelajaran di sekolah sebagai alternatif solusi untuk meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik.

Abstract

Tujuan pengajaran kimia di sekolah menengah atas adalah agar membekali para siswa dengan pengetahuan serta kemampuan praktis. Namun, pelaksanaannya masih menghadapi tantangan, terutama minimnya penggunaan LKPD yang disusun dengan kontekstual serta berbasis budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat LKPD asam-basa berbasis PBL yang dikombinasikan dengan Pengajaran Responsif Budaya (CRT) untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Model PBL mendukung peserta didik memecahkan masalah nyata, sementara CRT mengaitkan pembelajaran dengan budaya lokal. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai ialah Educational Design Research (EDR) menggunakan moda pengembangan Plomp, meliputi tahapan pendahuluan, membentuk prototipe, serta penilaian. Dalam penelitian berikut hanya dibatas hingga tahapan pengembangan prototipe, yakni pada uji praktikalitas produk yang telah dikembangkan. Instrumen penelitian yang diterapkan meliputi uji validitas serta uji praktikalitas. Validitas LKPD dinilai memakai skala Aiken’s V, dengan melibatkan lima validator yang tersusun atas dosen dan guru kimia. Hasil uji validitas membuktikkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 0,86, yang termasuk dalam kategori valid. Sementara itu, praktikalitas diuji melalui angket yang melibatkan dua guru kimia serta sembilan siswa. Hasil uji membuktikkan tingkat kepraktisan sebesar 96% (sangat praktis) berlandaskan penilaian pendidik serta 83% (praktis) berdasarkan penilaian peserta didik, dengan mempertimbangkan aspek mudahnya pemakaian, daya tarik, efisiensi, dan manfaat pembelajaran. Perolehan penelitian membuktikkan bahwasannya LKPD asam-basa berbasis PBL terintegrasi CRT valid serta praktis diterapkan pada pembelajaran kimia. Penelitian berikut memberikan solusi inovatif untuk menciptakan pembelajaran kimia yang makin kontekstual, berarti, serta sesuai pada keseharian siswa, khususnya dalam materi asam-basa di SMA.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is now transforming with the independent curriculum, which emphasizes student-based, contextual, and problem-solving-oriented learning in chemistry learning, especially thermochemistry material, the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) integrated with ethnoscience is very relevant to connect the concept of energy in chemical reactions with local practices. The type of research used is educational design research (EDR) with the Plomp development model, this research is limited only to the practicality test stage, without continuing to the assessment stage. The Thermochemistry LKPD based on PBL integrated with Ethnoscience for Phase F of SMA/MA that was developed showed validation results with a V value of 0.92, which is included in the valid category. The practicality test of this LKPD received a very positive response, with assessments from teachers and students indicating that the LKPD was very practical. Based on these two assessments, an average percentage of practicality was obtained which showed that this LKPD was very practical to use in learning. ABSTRAKPendidikan di Indonesia kini bertransformasi dengan kurikulum merdeka, yang menekankan pembelajaran berbasis peserta didik, kontekstual, dan berorientasi pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran kimia, terutama materi termokimia, penerapan Problem Based Learning (PBL) terintegrasi etnosains sangat relevan untuk menghubungkan konsep energi dalam reaksi kimia dengan praktik lokal. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah educational design research (EDR) dengan model pengembangan Plomp, penelitian ini dibatasi hanya sampai tahap uji praktikalitas, tanpa melanjutkan ke tahap penilaian. LKPD Termokimia berbasis PBL terintegrasi Etnosains untuk Fase F SMA/MA yang dikembangkan menunjukkan hasil validasi dengan nilai V sebesar 0,92, yang termasuk dalam kategori valid. Uji praktikalitas LKPD ini memperoleh respons sangat positif, dengan penilaian dari guru dan peserta didik yang menunjukkan bahwa LKPD tersebut sangat praktis. Berdasarkan kedua penilaian tersebut, diperoleh rata-rata persentase praktikalitas yang menunjukkan bahwa LKPD ini sangat praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

The independent curriculum demands discovery-based learning, so the use of teaching materials must be adjusted based on the curriculum and the needs of students. In chemistry learning, the integration of ethnoscience can improve conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills by connecting knowledge theory with real-life phenomena, such as culture in society. This study aims to determine the level of validity and practicality of the salt hydrolysis LKPD based on guided discovery learning integrated with ethnoscience that was developed. The research was conducted using the 4D research model (define, design, develop, and disseminate), the limitations in this study were carried out until the development stage of the validity test and practicality test. The validity test was carried out on experts and then tested on 32 students in phase F of SMA N 1 Batang Anai. The results of the study obtained an Aiken's V value of 0.85 (valid) and the level of practicality of teacher and student responses was 93% and 86% (very practical), respectively. These results indicate that the salt hydrolysis LKPD based on guided discovery learning integrated with ethnoscience for phase F of SMA is valid and very practical to use in learning after being tested for its effectiveness. ABSTRAKKurikulum merdeka menuntut pembelajaran berbasis penemuan, maka penggunaan bahan ajar harus disesuaikan berdasarkan kurikulum serta kebutuhan peserta didik. Dalam pembelajaran kimia, pengintegrasian etnosains dapat meningkatkan pemahan konsep serta keterampilan pemecahan masalah dengan menghubungkan teori pengetahuan dengan  fenomena kehidupan nyata, seperti kebudayaan dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas dan praktikalitas LKPD hidrolisis garam berbasis guided discovery learning terintegrasi etnosains yang dikembangkan. Penelitian diakukan menggunakan model penelitian 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate), pembatasan pada penelitian ini dilakukan hingga tahap develop uji validitas dan uji praktikalitas. Uji validitas dilakukan kepada para ahli kemudian diuji cobakan kepada 32 peserta didik fase F SMA N 1 Batang Anai. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai Aiken’s V sebesar 0,85 (valid) serta tingkat praktikalitas respon guru dan peserta didik masing-masing sebesar 93% dan 86% (sangat praktis). Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa LKPD hidrolisis garam berbasis guided discovery learning terintegrasi etnosains untuk fase F SMA valid dan sangat praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran setelah diuji efektivitasnya.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Chemistry learning in thermochemistry material has not been able to guide students to find concepts by themselves. Because of this, teaching materials are needed modules that apply the model-guided inquiry integrated experiment. Metode penelitian: This research aims to determine the effectiveness of uses a thermochemistry module based on guided inquiry integrated experiments with student learning outcomes. The type of this research was Randomized Pretest-poss test Control Group Design. The population was students of class XI MIPA SMAN 3 Padang, consist of 8 classes. The samples were chosen using a purposive-cluster random sampling technique, obtained XI MIPA 7 as experiment class and XI MIPA 4 as control class. Data analysis in this research was students learning outcomes in the cognitive domain. Hasil penelitian: The average value of the control class was 80,42 and the experiment class was 84,58. From the results statistic, both two sample classes had normal and homogenous. Based on the hypothesis using t-test with a significance level of 0,05 was found count was 3,32 and ttable was 1,66., which means H1 was accepted. In addition, to know the effectiveness of the thermochemistry module based on guided inquiry integrated experiment it can be seen using the N-Gain score. Kesimpulan: So it can be concluded that the module is effective in improving student learning outcomes in the XI MIPA at SMAN 3 Padang.

Abstract

Carrying out duties as a nurse for patients with mental illness causes work stress that could affect caring abilities. Good-quality caring is very necessary to support patients’ recovery. The phenomenon of nurses with low-quality caring can be caused by a lack of ability to regulate emotions. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of REF-BY training to improve caring by controlling work stress and neuroticism personality variables. The method used in this study is an experiment employing a one group pretest-posttest design and the Mann Whitney U test as data analysis technique. This study involved 6 nurses working in one psychiatric  rehabilitation center. The results of the data analysis showed that based on the pretest and posttest and follow-up scores, REF-BY training could help improve caring skills significantly.

Abstract

This research is part of a Research and Development (R&D) program using the 4-D development model, which has previously been proven valid and practical. However, no specific effectiveness test has been conducted on the use of the e-module on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions based on STEAM-integrated problem-based learning on student learning outcomes. The method used was a nonequivalent control group design approach selected by purposive sampling. The research subjects consisted of two eleventh grade classes at SMAN 10 Padang: class XI F2 for the experimental class and class XI F6 for the control class. The instrument used in this study included a cognitive learning achievement test for students. Therefore, the data obtained were analyzed using a t-test to test the research hypothesis. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the calculated t value of 4.395 was greater than the t table of 2.028 at a significance level of 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the e-module on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions based on STEAM-integrated problem-based learning is significantly effective on high school student learning outcomes. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan bagian dari Pengembangan dengan jenis Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang sebelumnya telah terbukti valid dan praktis, namun belum dilakukan uji efektivitas secara khusus pada penggunaan e-modul larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit berbasis problem based learning terintegrasi STEAM terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan ialah dengan pendekatan nonequivalent control group design yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas XI di SMAN 10 Padang, yaitu pada kelas XI F 2 untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI F 6 untuk kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tes hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Dengan demikian, data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis menggunakan uji-t unutk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung sebesar 4,395 lebih besar dari ttabel sebesar 2,028 pada taraf signifikansi =0,05. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan e-modul larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit berbasis problem based learning terintegrasi STEAM efektif secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik SMA.
