Abstract

Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kegemaran membaca siswa SMP melalui 4 indikator antara lain sikap umum terhadap membaca IPA, preferensi membaca IPA, efek membaca terhadap kemampuan siswa, dan pandangan positif siswa terhadap membaca sehingga berguna bagi pembaca agar mengetahui bagaimana kondisi kesenangan membaca siswa SMP saat ini Metodologi: Penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 19 Kota Jambi, SMP Xaverius 2 Jambi, dan SMPN 17 Kota Jambi dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 411 orang siswa dari kelas VII, VIII, dan IX dengan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah cluster sampling. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah explanatory design. Instrumen kuantitatif berupa instrumen kesenangan membaca terdiri dari 38 butir pernyataan, sedangkan instrumen kualitatif berupa interview kepada 9 siswa dari 3 sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan survei (field research). Temuan utama: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan indikator sikap umum terhadap membaca berada pada skala netral, indikator preferensi membaca berada pada skala netral, indikator efek membaca terhadap kemampuan berada pada skala setuju, indikator pandangan negatif siswa terhadap membaca berada pada skala tidak setuju. Hasil wawancara hasil wawancara dengan siswa menunjukkan bahwa kegemaran membaca siswa sudah baik. Keterbaruan penelitian: Sikap umum terhadap membaca merupakan indikator yang menunjukkan bagaimana pandangan positif siswa tentang berbagai hal mengenai membaca secara umum. Indikator ini akan diukur oleh peneliti untuk mengetahui baik atau tidaknya membaca untuk siswa.

Abstract

Many students have a low level of reading pleasure. This will have an impact on common science learning outcomes for students. Reading fondness has been known to improve students 'cognitive domains, what about students' attitudes, namely the affective domain? The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of reading fondness on attitudes in science subjects in junior high schools. The schools studied consisted of 1 private school and 2 public schools with a total sample of 411 students. The sampling technique was cluster sampling. The research method used is quantitative with simple linear regression analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. The instrument used was a valid and reliable questionnaire for reading fondness and attitudes towards science. The results of this study indicate that students' reading pleasure is in the good category, the attitude towards science is in the good category This research implies that students' reading habit has a positive influence on science.

Abstract

Abstract The implementation of the learning process in the classroom is the spirit of education. The implementation of quality learning will produce quality education as well. However, several research results found that the learning design was not yet oriented to student-centered activities. The STEM-Approach is one of the learning approaches that orientation activates students in the learning process through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This community service aims to provide the understanding and good practice by teachers in designing STEM-Approach Learning. The training was given to teachers of SMAN 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat, Jambi Province. Thirty-six teachers from various subjects attended it. The training uses a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with in-service and on-the-job learning techniques. From the implementation of the training, 86.11% or 31 teachers understood and practiced designing a STEM-Based Approach for educational learning according to the criteria. This best-practice is carried out both individually and in collaboration. Training with the PjBL Model improved the pedagogical competence of teachers in designing learning with a STEM-Approach Abstrak Pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran di kelas merupakan ruh dari pendidikan. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang berkualitas akan melahirkan pendidikan yang berkualitas pula. Dari beberapa hasil riset menemukan, bahwa rancangan pembelajaran belum berorientasi kepada aktivitas yang berpusat kepada peserta didik. Pendekatan STEM merupakan salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang orientasinya mengaktifkan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran melalui prinsip-prinsip science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan praktik baik yang dilakukan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEM. Pelatihan diberikan kepada guru SMAN 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat, Provinsi Jambi. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 36 guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran. Pelatihan menggunakan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan teknik in service dan on the job learning. Dari pelaksanaan pelatihan yang sudah dilakukan terdapat 86,11% atau 31 orang guru yang memiliki pemahaman dan praktik merancang pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEM sesuai kriteria. Praktik baik ini dilakukan baik secara individu maupun berkolaborasi. Pelatihan dengan Model PjBL ternyata mampu meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam merancang pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEM.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the direct and indirect effect of physical working conditions, participation in decision making and anxiety on the occupational stress of teachers. This research applies survey method. Structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to analyses the relationship of variables. There are 358 respondents, included 214 teachers from state primary schools, 88 teachers from state junior high schools, and 56 teachers from state senior high schools. Results show that there are direct negative and significant effect of the physical working conditions and participation in decision making to anxiety, direct positive and significant effect of anxiety to occupational stress, and indirect negative and significant effect of physical working conditions and participation in decision making to occupational stress through anxiety. These findings have an implication on the policy maker to give counseling, and training to assist all teachers in comprehending and recognizing the cause and impact of occupational stress.

Abstract

This research has a background of the gap between the need for learning resources and the availability of additional learning resources in schools. Where interesting learning resources are one way to help students achieve an understanding of the material. Plantae materials have quite a lot of material content and make students bored if they only learn using printed books and lead to lower interest and learning outcomes compared to other materials. The purpose of this study was to describe the planning, procedures for developing the encyclopedia plantae based on the local potential of the Musi Banyuasin district and the perceptions of teachers and students towards the developed encyclopedia product. This research includes the type of research and development or R&D that will produce a product. This encyclopedia research uses the ADDIE model where there are several processes, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. This encyclopedia is based on validation by material experts and learning media design experts with a "very valid" validity result. The subjects of this study were students in class X SMA Negeri 1 Bayung Lencir/ UPT SMAN 6 Musi Banyuasin and Biology teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Bayung Lencir/ UPT SMAN 6 Musi Banyuasin. Based on the results of the validation and trials as well as the responses given, it can be concluded that the Encyclopedia of Plantae Based on Local Potential in Musi Banyuasin Regency is feasible to use

Abstract

This research explored the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on the ability of self-innovation and adjustment of learning models for students. It focused on the internship program at one education program, in a public university in Jambi. Based on the research problems and objectives, this research used a generic qualitative approach. It explored the structure of consciousness as experienced from the first-person point of view. The central system of an experience is its intentionality, which is directed at something because it is an experience or about some object. An experience is required for an object based on its content or meaning (representing the object) along with the appropriate enabling conditions.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to produce a learning video based on local wisdom in the learning model in early childhood education teacher education in the form of a center model, area model, and group model whose final result was a learning video. The type of this research was development research, namely Research and Development (R&D). The development model used refers to the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The ADDIE model was chosen in this development research based on several reasons, namely, this model is a procedural model, namely a descriptive model, showing clear and careful steps to produce a product. This study resulted, Material Experts stated that the results of this learning video were in the appropriate category, namely the center model obtained a percentage of 87.5%, Area obtained a percentage of 81.25%, and the group obtained a percentage of 82.5%. Meanwhile, media experts also revealed that the results of this learning video were worthy, namely the learning model. The percentage of the center was 86.12%, the area was 88.88%, the group learning model was 94.4% thus all of them was categorized in to the “very good” criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of self-efficacy, self-actualisation, and the learning environment both individually and collectively on achievement motives in class XII students at SMA Adhyaksa 1 Jambi. This research is classified as research with the type of expost-facto using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all XII grade students at Adhyaksa 1 Jambi High School totalling 134 people, and the sampling technique used was total sampling. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire instrument. The data obtained were analysed using descriptive statistical methods using simple regression and multiple regression techniques. The results of this study prove that self-efficacy has a significant effect on student achievement motives with a magnitude of influence of 49.1%. Self-actualisation variables have a significant effect on student achievement motives with a large influence of 49.9%. The learning environment variable has a significant effect on the motive for achievement in students with a magnitude of influence given of 34.2%. The results of multiple regression analysis prove that together the variables of self-efficacy, self-actualisation and learning environment have a significant effect on students' achievement motives with a value of the influence given of 60.4%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media busy book yang layak sebagai media pembelajaran pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan pada anak usia 5-6 tahun dan mengetahui respon guru mengenai media busy book sebagai media pembelajaran pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian research and development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 10 guru dari dua sekolah. Kuantitatif digunakan dalam analisis data pada penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase kelayakan materi busy book sebesar 100%. Kemudian data hasil hasil kelayakan media diperoleh skor 97,9% dengan kategori sangat baik dan dinyatakan layak tanpa revisi. Berdasarkan hasil uji kepraktisan kelompok kecil, media busy book dinyatakan praktis dengan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 95 % yang ditentukan oleh pengisian lembar instrumen oleh guru. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa media busy book yang dihasilkan tersebut layak dan praktis sebagai media pembelajaran pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampai tahap uji kelompok kecil belum sampai tahap uji coba kelompok besar dan uji efektivitas.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of a literacy program based on predetermined indicators, with the expectation that the findings will benefit future policy formulation. The research used a qualitative approach, specifically the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation. Data collection involved interviews and observations. The School Literacy Movement is a government initiative aimed at improving literacy levels in Indonesia. In the Muaro Jambi District, a primary school serving as an implementer of the School Literacy Movement experienced a decline in literacy education based on educational report card scores. After conducting the research, it was found that the school already had clear goals in the context, but it required additional inputs such as integrating the vision and mission to motivate teachers and students, establishing a School Literacy Team (TLS), implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and optimizing the use of facilities and resources. In the process, academic supervision and creativity in finding appropriate learning media were still needed, along with personalized guidance for students to identify their learning styles to ensure that the outcomes aligned with the intended goals. The research highlights the importance of various factors in implementing the literacy program, and the findings can contribute to improving future literacy policies in schools.
