Abstract

Purpose: To conceptualise a sustainable defence financing model by embedding green finance principles into maritime security frameworks in the Indo-Pacific, where ecological vulnerability and geopolitical pressures are intensifying. Study Design/Methodology/Approach: A descriptive qualitative approach is adopted to explore secondary sources comprising policy documents, multilateral reports, and scholarly literature. Institutional Theory and Resource-Based Theory guide the analytical lens to examine how legitimacy, regulatory adaptation, and internal capacities shape green-oriented defence mechanisms. Findings: Defence financing strategies that align with ESG principles offer a pragmatic response to regional instability and environmental threats. Key mechanisms identified include the issuance of green bonds, development of low-emission technologies, ESG-based procurement criteria, and collaborative financing through regional platforms. Successful integration depends on institutional coherence and innovation capacity across defence and financial sectors. Originality/Value: Introduces a novel intersection between green finance and defence strategy within Indo-Pacific policy discourse. Provides an interdisciplinary model that reframes defence financing as both a geopolitical instrument and a sustainability lever, offering actionable insights for national governments, financial institutions, and multilateral bodies.

Abstract

Purpose: This study proposes an integrative strategic model that aligns corporate vision, mission, and long-term goals with digital transformation, cybersecurity, and sustainability in response to disruption and geopolitical complexity in the Indo-Pacific region. Study Design/Methodology/Approach: Using a descriptive qualitative method, the study draws on Absorptive Capacity Theory and Actor-Network Theory. Secondary data are analysed through literature and document review to assess how organisations absorb external knowledge and coordinate across sectors to develop resilient strategies. Findings: The study identifies a strategic gap between corporate objectives and the implementation of digital and sustainability initiatives. It highlights the urgency of embedding ESG principles, digital security, and adaptive planning into strategic frameworks. The proposed model promotes a learning-oriented and networked organisation capable of aligning operational resilience with long-term goals. Originality/Value: This study introduces a novel interdisciplinary framework that integrates strategic management, ESG transformation, and cybersecurity. Unlike conventional models, it places equal emphasis on innovation, risk governance, and sustainability. The model offers practical insights for corporate leaders and informs policymakers in designing integrated digital governance and ESG metrics to strengthen national resilience.

Abstract

In the information age like today, we are presented with a lot of news, both from within the country and abroad. Now, in the information age, we get news not only from the media but also through the internet. In producing news broadcasts, it is necessary to first understand what news value is. Because the viewers should not be treated to news that is not at all useful as information. This is necessary to find out what information they need. The bottom line: we must first examine and examine what events or incidents should be made as news. Indonesia is a maritime country, which means it has many islands. This causes Indonesia to be rich in natural resources. One of the interesting destinations to be covered as news material is Sawarna. From the results of the training, participants need ongoing training to create positive news content by promoting interesting tourism in Sawarna on social media through citizen journalism, but many participants are satisfied with what the presenters are presenting and get a basic overview of the practice process of producing news content in Sawarna on social media. through citizen journalism. In addition to doing role playing, the presenters provide games or games by asking questions about the material that has been presented. The implementation of this service aims to determine the impact of promotional strategies in increasing tourist visits and to find out the most effective promotional strategies in increasing tourist visits to tourism. This research uses two methods, namely the Troubleshooting Framework method and the Activity Method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, direct observation of documentation, and workshop activities, which were attended by 18 participants. The results of this research show that 1. Overall, the participants stated that this workshop was interesting; many new things were obtained and learned during the activity. The training material is very useful in "guiding" participants to better understand Citizen Journalism, which is currently developing rapidly. 2. With the many beaches in the Sawarna area, Banten, it allows participants to choose an ideal and attractive location according to where they live.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe development of higher education in Malaysia is multiplying based on the increasing numbers of Public Higher Learning Institutions (IPTA) and Private Higher Learning Institutions (IPTS). This increase has encouraged various parties to collaborate to create a solid foundation and strategy to create IPT to become more competitive. However, the funding factor is still one restraint that IPTs must face. To overcome this problem, one example of IPT is taking the initiative by implementing waqf for higher education in limited institutions. Based on this scenario, the present paper was written to achieve two objectives:The first isto examine the precise development of higher education waqf that has been implemented in IPT in Malaysia. Thesecond isto precisely examine the variety of waqf that can be implemented for higher education. This study is an exploration in which the data used were derived from library research. The findings of this study will develop a theory on the diversification of waqf implementations for higher education in Malaysia. Keywords: Diversity, Economic, Instrument of Waqf, Waqf of Higher Education

Abstract

Growing pressures from stakeholders for transparency is driving the need for financial sector firms to enhance the Sustainability Reporting Disclosure (SRD). Although differences in disclosure continue to coexist within the context of identical regulation, this issue implies some research questions and gaps: what are the determinants of these differences in the two countries? This is the premise upon which this work seeks to explore the impact of board size, gender diversity, Green Financing, and Return on Assets (ROA) on SRD, and the moderation effect of company size. Applying quantitative method, this research analyses secondary data collected from financial sector companies which were listed in the BEI during 2019–2023. The direct and interaction effects are estimated using moderation regression. The results indicated that board size, gender diversity, and Green Financing have significant positive influence on SRD, however, ROA to SRD is positive but insignificant. Finally, firm size moderated the effect of board size, gender diversity, and Green Financing on SRD, while it did not moderate the effect of ROA and SRD. The results of this study support the stakeholder theory that environmental governance and performance are expected to improve the quality of sustainability disclosure in organization when scaled up. The originality of the paper lies in the simultaneous combination with respect to controls, Green Financing, profitability and the moderation of company size in the distinctive context of regulated industries.

Abstract

Increasing demands for transparency from stakeholders encourage financial sector companies to strengthen Sustainability Reporting Disclosure (SRD). However, variations in the level of disclosure despite uniform regulations create research gaps related to the factors that influence them. This study aims to examine the influence of board size, gender diversity, Green Financing, and Return on Assets (ROA) on SRD, as well as the role of company size as a moderator. Using a quantitative approach, this study analyzes secondary data from financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019–2023. Moderation regression is used to test the direct influence and interaction of variables. The results showed that board size, gender diversity, and Green Financing had a significant positive effect on SRD, while ROA had a positive but insignificant effect. Additionally, company size moderates the influence of board size, gender diversity, and Green Financing; however, it does not moderate the relationship between ROA and SRD. These findings reinforce the stakeholder theory that environmental governance and performance factors, when scaled up by the company, enhance the quality of sustainability disclosure. The novelty of the study lies in the simultaneous integration of governance, Green Financing, profitability, and the moderation of company size in industries with strict regulations.
