Abstract

Students' mathematical problem solving ability in solving subject matter needs to be considered. This study aims to describe problem solving skills through discovery learning-based TGT learning for seventh grade students of SMP Ahmad Yani. This study used a qualitative research approach. The subjects studied were 3 students who were selected from 24 students in grade VII SMP Ahmad Yani based on the level of mathematical ability in participating in mathematics learning activities in class. Data collection techniques were observation models, written tests, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: (1) Student who had high mathematical abilities was able to solve complex problems correctly Students' mathematical problem solving ability in solving subject matter needs to be considered. This means that students who have high mathematical abilities had excellent mathematical problem solving abilities. (2) Student who had moderate mathematical skills had good math-solving skills. Student was able to answer the problem correctly even though the work process incorrect. (3) Student who had low mathematical abilities was not able to solve problems properly and correctly, even tend to answer with messy results. This means that student who had low mathematical abilities had very low mathematical problem solving ability.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology is currently increasingly advanced. Information and communication are more accessible, including in the world of education. This requires educators to do more creativity by utilizing technology as a material to support the success of goals in learning. Mathematics is no exception, which is considered a complicated subject for students. Included in the learning evaluation activities of the lessons that have been given during learning activities. This research aims to create new innovations related to learning evaluation by utilizing educational games from the woodwall platform. The type of research method in this study was Research and Development using the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The validation results from media experts and material experts showed that this woodwall game media was very good for use as a learning evaluation medium. In addition to the results of the validation of the media experts and material experts, the questionnaire that was given to the respondents also showed positive results.

Abstract

Higher-order thinking skills in 21st century learning are a requirement, so that students are able to think critically, creatively, collaboratively and communicatively. Focusing on these demands, often the learning process ignores the basic needs of students, namely happiness. Kebudiutamaan course is one of the institutional courses that must be taken by students of all study programs at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. As with other study programs, students of the Mathematics Education Study Program also take this course. Regarding the basic needs of students, namely being happy, in taking the Virtue Course, Mathematics Education students also need fun learning. The Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach is intended to create fun learning in the learning activities of the Civics course. This study used quantitative approach with survey data (primary) with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used porpusive sampling. Data collection used self-administered questionaires. The results of the non-parametric statistical test Chi-square test (χ2) with a significance level of 5%, show that there is a significant difference in the number of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program in the Kebudiutamaan subject. Students are happy with learning TPACK Plus than those who are not, and there is an increase in critical thinking skills, creative, communicative and able to work collaboratively, which is shown by the product of high-quality material content in the form of short videos.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the low self-confidence and mathematical communication skills of class VII students, especially in statistics. This is because Daarul Ukhuwwah Middle School has its own curriculum and there is no statistics material. Therefore, students do not have the courage to express their ideas or opinions. So, to increase self-confidence and mathematical communication skills of female students, researchers use cooperative learning with the time token method. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of the application of the time token type of cooperative learning to increase students' self-confidence and mathematical communication on set material in class VII SMP Daarul Ukhuwwah 2 Singosari Malang. The type of research used in this research is classroom action research (CAR). The subjects of this study were class VII-B students of SMP Daarul Ukhuwwah 2 Singosari for the 2022/2023 academic year consisting of 31 students. The data collection instruments used in this study were student observation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. This research was conducted in 1 cycle consisting of 2 meetings. The stages carried out in each cycle are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this study indicate an increase in self-confidence and students' mathematical communication skills at each meeting. The average result of the questionnaire was 47.42% before the action became 69.50% in the first cycle of the 1st meeting to 83.23% in the 2nd meeting of the first cycle and from the average results of the test, namely 52.21% to 71, 60% in the first cycle of the 1st meeting to 86.45% in the 1st cycle of the 2nd meeting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan proses ritual Sui Uwi pada upacara adat Reba Masyarakat Bosiko Kecamatan Bajawa Kabupaten Ngada (2) mengetahui nilai dan makna historis dari ritual Sui Uwi pada upacara adat Reba (3) mengetahui nilai dan makna sosial dari ritual Sui Uwi pada Upacara adat Reba Masyarakat Bosiko Kecamatan Bajawa Kabupaten Ngada.Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode interpretasi dengan jenis penelitian desktiptif kualitatif. Pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling dengan menggunakan sampel wilayah dan informan sebanyak 5 orang dari berbagai latar belakang dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pengujian data dengan menggunakan teknik trianpulasi. Data dianalisis melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verivikasi.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1). Proses ritual Sui Uwi pada upacara Reba di kampung Bosiko dimulai dari tahap pertama Kobe Ddheke yaitu malam pertama semua berkumpul di rumah induk/rumah adat. Tahap kedua Kobe Dhoi yaitu malam kedua yang ditandai dengan O Uwi sebuah tarian lantunan adat. Tahap ketiga Kobe Sui yaitu wejangan dan kisah ziarah perjalanan leluhur menuju ke tanah Ngada. (2) Terdapat nilai dan makna histori dari ritual Sui Uwi yaitu mengisahkan asal-usul orang Ngada, adanya nilai peduli sesama dan jiwa kepemimpinan dalam membangun komunitas adat dan kesatuan adat yang disebut kelompok Reba. (3) Terdapat nilai dan makna sosial dari ritual Sui Uwi diantaranya niali gotong-royong , ajaran hidup untuk saling membina hubungan dan persaudaraan.

Abstract

Tradisi Petik Pari merupakan praktik budaya agraris yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun dan masih dipertahankan oleh masyarakat Desa Petungsewu, Kecamatan Wagir, Kabupaten Malang. Tradisi ini tidak hanya berkaitan dengan aktivitas pertanian menjelang panen, tetapi juga merepresentasikan hubungan antara religi, ritual, dan sistem kepercayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pelaksanaan tradisi Petik Pari, keterkaitan religi dengan praktik tradisi, serta perubahan yang terjadi dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui tahapan pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan Petik Pari dilakukan melalui serangkaian tahapan, mulai dari menyiapkan sesajian dan tumpeng, membawanya ke sawah yang akan dipanen, hingga pelaksanaan ritual yang dipimpin oleh tokoh adat. Dimensi religius tradisi tercermin dalam kepercayaan terhadap unsur-unsur spiritual yang diwariskan dari leluhur, sementara doa dan permohonan keselamatan tetap diarahkan kepada Tuhan sesuai dengan keyakinan masyarakat. Religi dan tradisi dengan demikian saling berkaitan melalui emosi keagamaan, sistem keyakinan, kelompok keagamaan, dan praktik ritual. Penelitian juga menemukan adanya perubahan pada aspek material dan teknis pelaksanaan, terutama penggunaan peralatan serta penyediaan sesajian, sedangkan sistem keyakinan dan makna religius yang mendasari tradisi relatif tetap dipertahankan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Petik Pari merupakan ruang perjumpaan antara kepercayaan, praktik ritual, dan keberlanjutan tradisi agraris dalam kehidupan masyarakat Petungsewu.
