Abstract

The industrial revolution has been the main driver in accelerating the use of technology. The use of technology in automation or data analytics has fundamentally changed the way of working, including at school. The research objective is to highlight the readiness of individuals to adopt new technologies, exploring the important role of psychological capital and technology readiness in this context. The main focus is on the influence of psychological capital, as well as technological readiness, on the likelihood of an individual adopting new technologies. The theories used as the basis of the research are psychological capital and technology readiness. The research was conducted on 403 teacher respondents in Indonesia using a nonprobability sampling method, namely quota sampling. Respondents were obtained by distributing online questionnaires. This research is non-experimental correlational research that is processed quantitatively. The measuring instrument used the Psychological Capital Questionnaire which has been adapted into 4 dimensions and 12 items and the Technology Readiness Index 2.0 which was adapted into 4 dimensions and 8 items. There is a positive correlational relationship between the two variables. An increase in psychological capital increases teachers' technology readiness scores, meaning teachers' positive psychological state can increase their propensity to adopt technology

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the role of ethnic identity and cultural values in the career decision-making process among early-career employees from Javanese, Sundanese, and Minang ethnic groups in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The participants in this study were three early-career employees each representing one ethnicity. Participants were selected purposely and interviewed in depth. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify relevant patterns and themes. The results of the study indicate that internal individual factors and cultural values can have a complex influence on individuals in making career decisions. The value of collectivism is found in the Javanese ethnic with the family philosophy of "mangan ora mangan sing penting ngumpul" (togetherness values). Likewise, the Sundanese ethnic group is known to prioritize the values of "luhur budi," "handap asor," and "someah hade ka semah," focusing on harmonious social relations, specifically by respecting others and choosing to avoid conflict. The Minang ethnic group found something different, namely the spirit of "merantau," where individuals prioritize proactive adaptation strategies based on high mobility to be able to seek opportunities outside their hometown. These differences indicate that cultural values can influence individuals' preferences, strategies, and ways of facing career challenges. Taken together, the dynamics of cultural values can be the basis for developing an adaptive career decision-making model. This research is expected to be the basis for designing culture-based interventions that support individuals in planning and managing their careers effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the employability of final-year students at public universities and private universities so that it can provide an overview to prospective students or the Ministry of Education on the quality of graduates as future worker generations. The research design used is non-experimental quantitative, with 92 students from public universities and 93 students from private universities as the subject. The study used a two-stage cluster random sampling data collection technique. Data were collected based on the employability theory of Dacre Pool (2007). A comparison of employability was calculated using a t-independent test for two independent samples. The results show no significant difference in employability between final-year students at public and private universities. As many as 77% of final-year students in public universities and 76% of final-year students in private universities have employability which tends to be high, which means they tend to have the knowledge, understanding, skills, and personal attributes that can make them feel satisfied and successful in his work. However, there are differences in work readiness patterns, where state university students have the lowest score on the experience dimension, while private university students get the lowest score on the degree subject knowledge dimension. This study requires further explanation on this matter in order to obtain further answers regarding the work readiness of university graduates.

Abstract

The hospital’s responsibility to provide excellent service to patients reflects the expectations of the government, society, and hospital management. Efforts to achieve this can be realized by establishing a strong Service Climate within the organization. Service Climate refers to employees’ perceptions of the procedures, actions, and behaviors expected by the organization in relation to customer service and represents an essential factor in improving service performance. This study aims to examine the role of gender in shaping perceptions of service climate in hospitals, referring to the theory of Schneider and White (2004). The research hypothesis stated that there is a difference in perceptions of service climate between male and female nurses. This study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a convenience random sampling technique. The participants consisted of 254 nurses who handled stunting cases in several hospitals across West Java. The service climate instrument comprised 22 items and demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.968). Descriptive results showed a mean score of 70,05 (SD = 8.56), indicating that the overall perception of service climate was in the moderately high category. The independent samples t-test revealed a significant difference between female nurses (M = 70.92, SD = 8.99) and male nurses (M = 68.04, SD = 7.12), t(252) = 2.493, p = 0.013, with a small-to-moderate effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.34). Further dimensional analysis found significant differences in four out of five dimensions. These findings confirm that gender plays a role in shaping perceptions of hospital service climate, although it is not the sole determining factor.

Abstract

Organizational change is company's strategic response to increase business efficiency and effectiveness. PT. X as a cellular telecommunications company is undergoing process of change by launching Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) services through the acquisition of fixed internet services from its parent company. This process requires employees to adapt quickly. This study aims to determine the effect of job demands-resources (JD-R) on adaptive performance through job crafting on PT. X employees in West Java Region. The quantitative method used is General Linear Mediation Method (GLMM) through JAMOVI application. The study sample consisted of 105 employees using simple random sampling. The results showed that job crafting did not mediate the effect of job demands on adaptive performance (Beta = -0.0406, p > .001), but fully mediated the effect of job resources on adaptive performance (Beta = 0.2804, p < .001). The novelty of this study is explaining the mechanism of JD-R on adaptive performance through job crafting in the telecommunications context that is still limited. Theoretically, this study confirms the role of job resources in encouraging self-adjustment that improves adaptive performance, while practically PT. X Regional West Java needs to optimize job resources to support change.

Abstract

Retail employee mobility is increasing in emerging labor markets. This study advances turnover theory by integrating perceived organizational support, emotional exhaustion, and job satisfaction within a single structural model to explain job hopping intention rather than general turnover intention. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data from 458 retail employees in South Sulawesi were analyzed with SEM in Jamovi. The findings reveal that emotional exhaustion significantly increases job hopping intention, while job satisfaction reduces it, whereas perceived organizational support shows no direct effect. These results indicate that psychological strain and affective evaluation of work are more decisive than formal support mechanisms in shaping mobility decisions. Managerially, retail firms should prioritize emotional well-being, workload balance, and job satisfaction to reduce excessive employee mobility and sustain workforce stability.

Abstract

Abstract: As the modern workplace undergoes systemic shifts, the literature on career decision-making (CDM) has expanded in volume but fragmented in focus. This study synthesizes 1,872 Scopus-indexed articles from 2015 to 2025 to map the field’s intellectual landscape and emerging trajectories. Utilizing performance analysis and science mapping, we identify an exponential growth in productivity, peaking in 2025, with the United States and Itamar Gati maintaining dominant citation influence. While Social Cognitive Career Theory remains the primary bedrock, keyword co-occurrence and overlay visualizations reveal a significant paradigm shift: research is pivoting from isolated individual-psychological factors toward highly contextual, adaptive, and systemic models. Furthermore, international co-authorship patterns indicate a burgeoning diversification of global perspectives beyond Western-centric frameworks. These findings provide a strategic roadmap for scholars, highlighting the transition from "symptom-based" CDM research to "context-adaptive" modeling in an era of global labor market disruption.
