Abstract

Abstrak Era globalisasi memberi dampak pada berbagai aspek kehidupan, salah satunya adalah dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan. Pendidikan hendaknya mampu menghasilkan sumberdaya manusia yang memiliki kompetensi abad-21. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari model pembelajaran abad-21 dan berpikir divergen terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Experiment, desain penelitian Treatment by level 2x2 dan terdapat 71 sampel yang dipilih dengan purposive sampling. Berpikir divergen dikelompokkan menjadi berpikir divergen tinggi dan rendah bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap tingkat berpikir divergen yang berbeda. Model pembelajaran abad-21 dibatasi yaitu kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan menggunakan model Treffinger dan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan dengan model Problem Based Learning. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh hasil uji-t sebesar 0,038 dan hasil uji anava 2 arah sebesar 0,04. Kesimpulan penelitian ini sebagai berikut: 1) ada perbedaan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa yang diberi model Treffinger dan model Problem Based Learning, 2) ada pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan berpikir divergen terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Kata-kata kunci: treffinger, berpikir divergen, kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Abstract Globalization has an impact on various aspects of life, one of them is in the implementation of education. Education should be able to produce human resources that have 21st century skills. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of 21st century learning models and divergent thinking to higher order thinking skills. This research used a quasi experiment method, treatment by level 2x2 research design and there are 71 samples selected by purposive sampling. Divergent thinking is divided into high and low divergent thinking to determine the effect of learning model on various levels of divergent thinking. The 21st century learning model is consist in that the experimental class is treated using the Treffinger model and the control class is treated with the Problem Based Learning model. In this study the results of the t-test were 0.038 and the results of the 2-way anava test were 0.04. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1) there are differences in the ability of higher order thinking skills who are given the Treffinger model and the Problem Based Learning model, 2) there is an interaction effect between learning models and divergent thinking toward higher order thinking skills. Abstract

Education is one of the sectors that has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently we have entered the "New Normal" era, so it is very interesting to do more research on education. The purpose of this study was to explore student learning motivation in Computer Programming courses using the Project Based Learning model. This research involved 25 students of the Physics Education at Universitas Khairun. The instrument used for data collection was a Google Form-based questionnaire that had been validated with the Gregory Technique. The results showed that the average student learning motivation was high. Furthermore, to dig up more detailed information, interviews were conducted with several students. It should be noted that prior to the "New Normal" era, students studied online with all the limitations, and from the interview results, information was obtained that the project based learning model in the "New Normal" era helped learning activities

Abstract

Computational Thinking is a skill that plays a significant role in improving students' skills, achievements, and global competitiveness. This research aims to determine the Computational Thinking abilities of preservice physics teachers for each indicator by creating a simulation using the Scratch application. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. The respondents involved in the research were 10 pre-service physics teachers at Khairun University. The respondents are students who have taken Computer Programming courses. The saturated sampling technique was used to determine the respondents. The data collection technique for this research is a test. The instrument used is a simple project to simulate projectile motion. The results of this research show that all students were able to complete the abstraction and generalization components perfectly. Furthermore, in the decomposition and algorithmic thinking components, two students made incorrect commands in the Scratch application. However, after the interview, it was revealed that the error was not due to their lack of understanding of physics concepts, but rather due to the limitations of mathematical operations in the Scratch application. Importantly, several students explained that most of the Computational Thinking components had already been developed through their habit of solving physics phenomena cases. Therefore, it can also be concluded that Computational Thinking can train students to solve physics problems effectively.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis keterampilan proses sains fisika mahasiswa pendidikan fisika Fakultas keguruan dan Ilmu pendidikan Universitas Khairun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan proses sains  mahasiswa. Indikator keterampilan proses sains yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini  adalah keterampilan mengkomunikasikan data, keterampilan menafsirkan data dan keterampilan menerapkan konsep. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan desain penelitian one shot case study. Data yang disajikan berupa skor rata-rata, nilai tertinggi dan nilai terendah dengan menggunakan skala likert untuk pengkategorian setiap indikator. Kategori yang digunakan terdiri atas tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa rata-rata skor keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan skor 34,08 dari 64. Hal tersebut berarti bahwa mahasiswa pendidikan fisika semester 3 dapat mengkomunikasikan data dengan cara membuat tabel, grafik  atau membaca grafik, kemudian menafsirkan data seperti membuat kesimpulan dan kemudian menerapkan konsep dari data yang telah di sajikan dengan baik. Research has been conducted about the anayisis of the physics sciences process skils of the physics education students at the faculty of teacher training and education, Khairun University. Porpose of the research is to know the college students’s science process skills. Indicator of the science procces skills become objecs of this research are data comunication skills, interpreting data skills, and skills to apply consepts. research methode used is descriptive methode with one shot case study desain. appearing data are mean score, the higest score, lowest score and likert scale to categorite every indicator. categorization used consist of hight, medium, and low. the result of data analizes are obtained college students's mean score of science process skills in medium category and the score is 34,08 of 64. it's result show that college students of educational physics in 3rd semenster can data comunication skills like make a table, chart and read the chart, interpreting data skills such as make conclution and skills to apply consepts from the data with good

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' digital literacy abilities after implementing learning using PjBL model based on Digital Science Content. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. This research was carried out at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Khairun University. The selection of respondents used a saturated sampling technique with a total of 32 students taking the Basic Concepts of Physical Science course. The data sources in this research are primary data obtained from respondents and secondary data obtained from literature that supports the research results. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, questionnaires and literature study. The results of this research show that good digital literacy has been achieved with an average percentage of 85.15% after implementing the PjBL model based on digital science content. There are 6 indicators that show excellent results, namely: accessing, understanding, evaluating, distributing, producing and participating. There are 3 indicators that show good results, namely: selecting, verifying and collaborating. There is 1 indicator that shows poor results, namely: analysis.

Abstract

In 2023, FKIP Universitas Khairun has successfully hosted the summit of the Forum Komunikasi (Forkom) FKIP Negeri se-Indonesia which was also enlivened by the implementation of 7 categories of student level competitions. One of the problems faced is the need for publication media and competition administration management. Community service activities were carried out to resolve these problems which included preliminary survey activities, designing a competition microsite that was integrated with Google Drive, mentoring and evaluation. Data on competition participants' responses was collected through a questionnaire distributed to a sample of 30 competition participants. The questionnaire was distributed using Google Forms. The results of the service show that the use of a microsite integrated with Google Drive can provide easy access to competition information and can be used as a medium for documenting competition administration documents so that competition implementation becomes more effective and efficient. In general, competition participants gave very good responses to the implementation of the competition.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide learning videos to all participants in the National Science Olympiad in Natural Sciences. This learning video is a free learning resource that can be accessed anytime and anywhere via the YouTube platform. These learning videos consist of 9 videos containing OSN Science grids and are collected into one playlist entitled KSN IPA (Fisika) SMP. The use of YouTube in supporting preparations for the science olympiads at junior high school level can be said to be effective by looking at the number of viewers, the number of likes and that no one gave a dislike. Ease of access and targeted material content can be something that attracts students participating in OSN. Even the comments column can also be used as a medium for discussion and correction of each material presented.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of the General Intelligence Test (TIU), National Insight Test (TWK), and Personal Characteristics Test (TKP) on the success of the Basic Competency Selection (SKD) for Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS). Using data from participants in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights' SKD selection in 2023, we employed univariate analysis, simple bivariate analysis, and binning methods to comprehend variable relationships. Results reveal non-normal distributions for TIU, TWK, and TKP scores, highlighting the intricate nature of distribution in CPNS selection. While a positive correlation exists between variable values and total SKD score, binning analysis emphasizes TKP competitiveness over TIU and TWK scores. These findings offer practical insights for SKD participants to prepare effectively, with a focus on TIU, TWK, and TKP. Additionally, they contribute to transparency and effectiveness in the CPNS selection process. Further studies are recommended to explore additional factors, like age and gender, for the development of more holistic and accurate selection methods. This research supports enhancements in the adaptive and efficient CPNS SKD selection system.

Abstract

Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP-K) is a scholarship given by the government to high school graduates and equivalent who excel but have economic limitations to continue their studies at university level, both at state and private universities. The Indonesian government has issued the KIP-K since 2020 as a form of educational assistance. In North Maluku Province, especially on Sula Island, there is still minimal information regarding KIP-K. This service activity aims to share information regarding the benefits of higher education and how to obtain a KIP-K scholarship for students who have financial limitations. This community service is carried out at SMAN 1 Kepulauan Sula, MAN 1 Kepulauan Sula, SMAN 7 Kepulauan Sula, SMAN 9 Kepulauan Sula and SMAN 11 Kepulauan Sula. This activity was carried out in two stages, namely socialization and mentoring. The implementation of this activity went well, smoothly and was full of enthusiasm from the participants, especially students who wanted to continue their studies at university level. The final result of this socialization and mentoring is that the participants have succeeded in creating their own accounts, filling in data and registering for KIP-K.

Abstract

Roller coaster merupakan salah satu jenis wahana permainan berupa kereta yang digerakkan dengan kecepatan tinggi pada lintasan berkelok-kelok dan memiliki ketinggian yang berbeda di atas permukaan tanah. Salah satu masalah yang sering dialami oleh roller coaster adalah terjadi kecelakaan dengan terlemparnya kereta dari lintasan ketika meluncur dengan kecepatan tinggi, seperti yang terjadi pada 14 April 2024 di Taman Kyai Langgeng Eco Park. Pada penelitian ini, kami mempelajari pemodelan gerak menggelinding pada lintasan roller coaster sederhana yang dimodelkan sebagai tiga lintasan setengah lingkaran dengan jari-jari 2R, R, dan R yang terhubung satu sama lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan syarat ketinggian awal lintasan agar kereta tidak terlempar setelah melewati ujung lintasan, menghitung total waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk berhenti, dan mensimulasikan fungsi posisi dan energi mekanik sistem roller coaster terhadap waktu. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan didapatkan bahwa syarat ketinggian awal lintasan agar kereta yang dimodelkan sebagai bola pejal tidak terlempar setelah melewati ujung lintasan adalah , dan waktu total yang diperlukan bola hingga berhenti adalah .  Berdasarkan hasil simulasi grafik energi mekanik terhadap waktu, didapatkan bahwa peristiwa dinamika gerak menggelinding bola pejal pada lintasan roller coaster sederhana memenuhi hukum kekekalan energi.
