Abstract

This research aims to enhance students' creative thinking abilities in science subjects with the topic of motion through the use of animated video media. The research method used is the Research and Development approach. The study employed data collection techniques such as expert validation of media and materials, as well as pretests and posttests. The research results indicate a significant improvement in student responses between the pretest and posttest. The average score for the pretest was 60%, while the average score for the posttest was 81.53%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the development of animated video media can enhance students' creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

The study aims to assess the company's shares before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic by comparing the market price and the company's intrinsic value. The focus of the research is the intrinsic value of the company using the Price Earning Ratio (PER) and Price to Book Value (PBV) approaches, then compared to the market price so that it can find out the stock valuation to make investment decisions. The study analyzed the shares of the airline sector listed on the IDX from 2018 to 2022. The research sample is three companies selected using the purposive sampling technique. The three companies implement environmentally friendly aviation fuel (SAF) and have developed the intelligent airport concept for AP II since 2016. Data processing shows that before the pandemic (2018 - 2,019), the condition of aviation sub-sector stocks was worth buying because the market price was smaller than the intrinsic value. However, under the COVID-19 pandemic (2020 - 2021), the aviation sub-sector stocks are not recommended to be purchased because the market price is greater than the intrinsic value. After Covid 19 (2022), several aviation sub-sector stocks are worth buying, and one is less; therefore, the COVID-19 pandemic gave rise to a recommendation that aviation sub-sector stocks are worth buying because the operations of aviation companies are back to normal. Abstract

Background: Necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (NUG) is an acute onset of gingival disease, that presents as an acute, painful, and destructive ulceration and inflammation of gingival tissue. This condition is one of the oral manifestations of leukemia in addition to gingival enlargement and spontaneous bleeding, oral ulceration, petechiae, hematoma, and pale mucosa. Case Report: We reported A 50-year-old woman presented with gum swelling, pain, and easy bleeding in the lower jaw gums. The patient often experiences fatigue, spontaneous bruising, dry skin, and hair loss. Extraoral examination revealed bruises on the hand. Intraoral examination revealed swelling, erythematous and ulcerative lesion, tartar, bleeding on probing in the lingual gingiva of lower central incisor teeth, mucosa pallor, and minor petechiae were observed at the buccal mucosa region 47-48. The provisional diagnosis was NUG with suspicion of systemic disorder. Result: A complete blood count was performed which showed anemia, leukopenia, neutropenia, lymphocytosis, and thrombocytopenia. We diagnosed NUG in acute leukemia patients. Conclusion: This case demonstrates the detection of leukemia and its oral manifestations in acute leukemia patient. The patient was referred to the hematologist oncology.

Abstract

Yayasan pondok Pesantren Nurul huda memiliki program berbahasa Inggris pada santri. Permasalahan yang dialami program sulit terlaksana karena materi pembelajaran yang diajarkan tutor bersifat tekstual dan tidak menyesuaikan Tingkat kebutuhan santri. Proses kegiatan melalui perbaikan manajemen pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal santri dengan pembelajaran menggunakan contextual learning atau pembelajaran berbasis kontekstual berdasarkan melalui zona berbahasa Inggris. Metode yang digunakan, menggunakan metode pelatihan, pendampingan dan Pendidikan berkelanjutan dengan perbedaan hasil yang signifikan antara pretest dan posttest, serta hasil 79% santri sangat setuju jika proses pembelajaran dikaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari atau contextual learning berbasis budaya lokal santri, 19% santri setuju dan tidak ada santri yang tidak setuju jika proses pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media Wordwall pada pembelajaran ekonomi di SMA Terpadu Nurul Huda Kelas X. Prosedur pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE yang memiliki lima tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Metode Reserch and Development (R&D) digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Satu orang ahli materi, satu orang ahli media, satu rang praktisi pembelajaran ekonomi, dan 31 siswa kelas X SMA Terpadu Nurul Huda sebagai subjek uji coba.Ahli materi mendapatkan skor 4,6 dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, ahli media mendapatkan skor 4,5dengan kategori“Sangat Layak”, dan praktisi pembelajaran ekonomi mendapatkan skor 4 dengan kategori “Layak”. Seluruh 31 siswa pada siswa kelas X MIPA C SMA Negeri 1 Pamekasan memberikan respon positif dengan tingkat respon 95,7%.

Abstract

Background: Acanthus ilicifolius L. has antifungal potential and makes it possible to be a candidate for denture cleanser. This study aims to evaluate the effect of effervescent Acanthus ilicifolius L. extract on antifungal properties and flexural strength acrylic after immersion for three duration times.Method: Extracts were made by maceration method with ethanol. For the antifungal test, effervescent Acanthus ilicifolius L extract was prepared by combining the Acanthus ilicifolius L extract 4% and sodium perborate with two ratios, 1:7 and 1:14. The microdilution method was carried out. Effervescent Acanthus ilicifolius L extract 4% with ratio 1:7 was prepared for the flexural strength test. The fifty-four heat-cured acrylic resin (20x10x2.5mm) were fabricated and divided into 3 groups. Group 1 was immersed in aquadest (control); Group 2 was immersed in sodium perborate; Group 3 was immersed in effervescent Acanthous ilicifolius L. extract. Each group was immersed for 15 min, 8, and 56 hours (n=6). The flexural strength test was performed using Universal Testing Machine.Result: Effervescent Acanthus ilicifolius L. extract exhibited antifungal activity which increased in an effervescent Acanthus ilicifolius L extract-dependent manner significantly (0.57 to 0.50 OD). There were no significant differences between sodium perborate, effervescent_AI1 (1:7) and effervescent_AI2 (1:14). The flexural strength was found to be within the range of 66.1 - 68.3 MPa. There were no significant differences between groups (p < 0.05).Conclusion: Effervescent Acanthus ilicifolius L extract with the ratios 1:7 had a good antifungal effect and appropriate flexural strength after immersion for 15 min, 8, and 56 hours.

Abstract

Background: Liver is an organ that performs a role in metabolism and detoxification of chemical substances. The use of immunosuppressive drugs excessively not only become predisposing factor for oral candidiasis, but also can cause damage and affect liver’s function. Hyperbaric oxygen treatment was known to preserve hepatocytes and prevent liver damage. This study was aimed to investigate the effect of hyperbaric oxygen treatment on liver hepatocyte damage in oral candidiasis immunosuppressed rats.Method: We divided fifteen Wistar rats randomly into three groups: G1 (healthy rats), G2 (immunosuppressed rats with oral candidiasis), and G3 (immunosuppressed rats with oral candidiasis given hyperbaric oxygen). The immunosuppressed condition was made by giving dexamethasone and tetracycline orally for 14 days. Induction of Candida albicans 0.1 cc was conducted on the fourth day. Hyperbaric oxygen treatment was given for five days continuously. The histopathological changes in the liver were measured by counting the amount of normal hepatocytes, pycnotic, karyolysis, karyorrhexis, and score of necrosis area using light microscope with 400x magnification.Result: The amount of pycnotic, karyolysis, and karyorrhexis hepatocytes increased in G2 and decreased significantly in G3, likewise the score of necrosis area. The statistical test using oneway Anova and LSD test showed significant differences (p<0,05) in pycnotic, karyolysis, and karyorrhexis hepatocytes between G1, G2, and G3.Conclusion: The hyperbaric oxygen treatment effect on liver hepatocyte damage in oral candidiasis immunosuppressed rats.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Independent Curriculum across various subjects in SMK Terpadu Takwa Belitang, with a focus on the alignment of teaching modules with specified phases. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method, the research captures real-world data through observations and descriptive analyses. The findings indicate that the Independent Curriculum has been effectively implemented at tenth grade English subjects, incorporating differentiated learning and the use of digital resources. Teachers adapt teaching materials based on student data, facilitate student potential development, and actively communicate with parents. Evaluation methods include formative assessments and reinforcement for material mastery. Challenges faced include teacher preparedness and student engagement, addressed through preparatory measures and creating a conducive learning environment.
