Abstract

Numerical ability is very help students understand the material, analyze any problems, and apply math concepts in daily life so that numerical abilities of students is a factor that can affect learning outcomes. Determine the effect of learning model Scramble and learning model with SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellegence) on the ability of numerical be the purpose of this article. The design of the research used Quasy Experimental Design, with the instrument used for the study in the form of test numerical ability. Data analysis used the T-test. Based on the results of the research concluded that the learning model Scrambler and learning model SAVI has a significant influence on numerical ability. And both of them is a model of learning which is equally effective against numerical abilities in order to improve learning outcomes is more optimal. But model pembelajaran SAVI is more effective than learning models scramble

Abstract

Objectives The ability to solve problems is to gain knowledge and motivation in the problem solving process of students. The researcher used the IMPROVE and OSBORN learning models to improve problem solving skills. The IMPROVE and OSBORN learning models emphasize the development of optimal mathematical skills and generate new ideas in the process of problem solving. This research is used to see the impact of the IMPROVE learning model and OSBORN learning model which is better in mathematical problem solving abilities. This research uses the Quasy Experimental Design method. Hypothesis testing uses an independent sample test. The conclusion of the study is the mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the IMPROVE learning model is better than the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who use the OSBORN learning model.

Abstract

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) adalah periode penting yang sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan kognitif, emosional, dan sosial anak. Pada rentang usia 0 hingga 6 tahun, perkembangan otak berlangsung dengan cepat, sehingga penting untuk memberikan stimulasi, terutama dalam aspek bahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peran komunikasi orang tua dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa anak. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dalam tiga tahap: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 85% anak memiliki kedekatan dengan orang tua, dan 100% anak bersikap terbuka serta mendapatkan perhatian yang memadai. Orang tua berkomunikasi dengan anak setiap hari meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti masalah emosional dan keterlambatan berbicara. Semua anak dapat mengucapkan lebih dari 10 kata dan memberikan respons positif saat menggunakan kalimat lengkap. Sebagai kesimpulan, komunikasi orang tua memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan bahasa anak usia 4 hingga 5 tahun di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal VIII Palu, dengan orang tua berfungsi sebagai model bahasa yang baik melalui interaksi verbal yang aktif.

Abstract

Finding out how students' levels of self-confidence relate to their FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) is the primary goal of this research. This study used two questionnaires to gather data: one measuring students' levels of self-confidence and the other measuring their fear of missing out. The data were used for both descriptive and inferential purposes, with a significance level of 95% and the product moment correlation formula. Descriptive analysis revealed the following percentages of students: 3.17% with extremely high FOMO, 59.79% with high FOMO, 36.51% with low FOMO, and 0.53% with extremely low FOMO. Additionally, 9.52% of students had extremely high self-confidence, 86.77% with high self-confidence, 3.70% with low self-confidence, and 0% with extremely low self-confidence. A coefficient value of -0.027 was also shown in the inferential test results. As the computed r value is higher than the r table value (-0.027 < 0.1428), it can be concluded that the Fear of Missing Out Syndrome variable does not correlate with students' self-confidence. ABSTRAKMencari tahu bagaimana tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa berhubungan dengan FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) mereka adalah tujuan utama dari riset ini. Riset ini menggunakan dua kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data: satu mengukur tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa dan yang lainnya mengukur rasa takut mereka akan ketinggalan. Data digunakan untuk tujuan deskriptif dan inferensial, dengan tingkat signifikansi 95% dan rumus korelasi momen produk. Analisis deskriptif mengungkapkan persentase siswa berikut: 3,17% dengan FOMO yang sangat tinggi, 59,79% dengan FOMO tinggi, 36,51% dengan FOMO rendah, dan 0,53% dengan FOMO yang sangat rendah. Selain itu, 9,52% siswa memiliki kepercayaan diri yang sangat tinggi, 86,77% dengan kepercayaan diri yang tinggi, 3,70% dengan kepercayaan diri yang rendah, dan 0% dengan kepercayaan diri yang sangat rendah. Nilai koefisien -0,027 juga ditunjukkan dalam hasil uji inferensial. Karena nilai r hitung lebih besar dari nilai r tabel (-0,027 < 0,1428), maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel Fear of Missing Out Syndrome tidak berkorelasi dengan kepercayaan diri siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of marriage on students’ motivation in completing their final project at the Education Sciences Department of Tadulako University. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The participants consisted of eight students from the Guidance and Counseling, Physical Education (PJKR), Elementary Teacher Education (PGSD), and Early Childhood Teacher Education (PG-PAUD) study programs. The findings indicate that marriage produces both positive and negative impacts on students’ academic motivation. On the positive side, marriage enhances motivation and responsibility to finish studies, supported by spouses, families, and peers. On the negative side, challenges such as time management difficulties, dual responsibilities, financial problems, and psychological stress may hinder final project completion. Key motivational factors include spousal support and a sense of responsibility, while obstacles involve household conflicts and economic burdens. The study concludes that marriage during the study period can serve as either a source of encouragement or a barrier, depending on the student’s circumstances and support system. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak pernikahan terhadap motivasi penyelesaian tugas akhir mahasiswa di Jurusan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Tadulako. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri dari delapan mahasiswa dari Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling, PJKR, PGSD, dan PG-PAUD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pernikahan memiliki dampak positif maupun negatif terhadap motivasi akademik. Dampak positif berupa meningkatnya motivasi untuk segera menyelesaikan studi, didukung oleh pasangan, keluarga, dan lingkungan sosial. Dampak negatif mencakup kesulitan manajemen waktu, beban tanggung jawab ganda, masalah ekonomi, serta tekanan psikologis yang dapat menghambat penyelesaian tugas akhir. Faktor utama yang mendorong motivasi adalah dukungan pasangan dan rasa tanggung jawab, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi konflik rumah tangga dan keterbatasan ekonomi. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pernikahan pada masa studi dapat menjadi sumber motivasi maupun hambatan, tergantung pada kondisi dan dukungan yang diperoleh mahasiswa.

Abstract

Program psikoedukasi dengan topik “Mindfulness on Campus” ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa terkait penggunaan teknik mindfulness untuk menjaga kesehatan mental dan meningkatkan mental toughness. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik. Program psikoedukasi terdiri dari dua sesi. Agenda sesi pertama berupa pemaparan materi terkait permasalahan psikologis mahasiswa, konsep dasar mindfulness, kesehatan mental, dan mental toughness, serta peran teknik mindfulness untuk menjaga kesehatan mental dan meningkatkan mental toughness. Selanjutnya, agenda sesi kedua berupa pengenalan berbagai macam teknik mindfulness, dilanjutkan dengan demonstrasi dan latihan teknik mindfulness, seperti: mindful breathing, mindful chair yoga, mindful eating, mindful reading, mindful colouring, dan mindful music. Kegiatan psikoedukasi ini dilaksanakan secara daring via zoom meeting dengan melibatkan partisipan sejumlah 20 orang mahasiswa prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam UIN Datokarama Palu. Para peserta telah mengikuti program psikoedukasi ini dengan antusias dan semangat. Mereka juga siap menerapkan teknik mindfulness ini dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai upaya menjaga kesehatan mental dan meningkatkan mental toughness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat self esteem sebelu dan sesudah di berikan layanan konseling kelompok dengan teknik self instruction serta menguji efektivitas layanan tersebut dalam meningkatkan self esteem siswa kelas VIII SMP Madani Palu. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pretest-posttest control grub desain. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan hasil angket dengan Teknik purposive sampling, kemudian di bagi kedalam dua kelompok eksperimen dan kontro. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan skala self esteem yang telah di uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil pennelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan setelah diberikan layanan pada kelompok eksperimen sebelum diberikan layanan mayoritas peserta didik berada pada kategori cukup tinggi (90%) dan tinggi (10%) sedangkan setelah diberikan perlakuan meningkat ke kategori tinggi (90%) dan saangat tinggi (10%). Uji t menunjukkan nilai p-value < 0.05 (0,000) dan t-hitung > t-tabel (9,287 > 1,729), sehingga H? ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat di simpulkan bahwa konseling kelompok Teknik self instruction efektif dalam meningkatkan self esteem siswa.

Abstract

The adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in business decision-making has revolutionized operations but introduced critical ethical challenges, particularly in bias and accountability. This study investigates the sources of bias in AI-driven systems and evaluates current accountability frameworks in business contexts. A mixed-methods approach is employed, combining a comprehensive literature review with in-depth interviews with business leaders across technology, finance, and healthcare sectors. The findings reveal that algorithmic and data biases are prevalent, arising from imbalanced training datasets and opaque algorithmic processes. Existing accountability mechanisms are often insufficient, with responsibility dispersed among developers, managers, and regulators. Practical strategies, such as third-party audits and algorithmic transparency initiatives, are emerging but require further refinement. This study emphasizes the need for robust ethical frameworks, including guidelines like Fairness Accountability Transparency Ethics (FATE), to mitigate bias and ensure responsible AI usage. Key recommendations include the adoption of transparent AI models, enhanced regulatory oversight, and targeted training for stakeholders on AI ethics. These insights contribute to the ongoing discourse on ethical AI deployment and provide actionable pathways for businesses aiming to navigate the ethical complexities of AI.

Abstract

The dominance of the local realm and traditional values in Ma’had Aly has been deemed irrelevant in light of the recent need for modern education. Despite its significant potential, Ma’had Aly faces critical cultural challenges that hinder its transformation into a competitive and sustainable Islamic higher education institution. Accordingly, this article examines the cultural factors that influence governance, curriculum development, and technological integration within the context of ma’had aly, a pesantren-based model of Islamic higher education. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, this research gathered data from interviews with participants, documents, and observations. It was also supported by web scraping techniques—drawing from news outlets, websites, and social media platforms relevant to ma’had aly discourse. The findings revealed that Ma'had Aly faced cultural barriers in several key aspects. First, the dominance of conservatism is signified by the educational orientation that relies on classical texts, Islamic teachings, organisational structure, and institutional management that is not based on modernisation-administrative principles. Secondly, there is a traditional management approach that tends to be less adaptive, characterised by a centralised organisation, an alum majority in the staff structure, centralised policy, and central decision-making. Finally, this research identified curriculum decontextualization in the areas of curriculum composition, orientation, and implementation, which is considerably inflexible in the context of globalization and technological enhancement. Thus, this research highlights the need for visionary leadership that is responsive to change and for comprehensive institutional reform.
