Abstract

The high use of information technology carries a significant risk of cyber attacks, making it important for organisations to secure their servers to prevent intrusion and data leaks. This research focuses on the development and implementation of a CheckPoint Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) configured to mitigate cyber attacks, especially those included in the OWASP Top 10, with a Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) approach. The research results show that implementing NGFW effectively improves server security and protects against cyber attacks. These findings emphasize the importance of NGFWs in an organization's network security architecture, with the right configuration serving as a proactive mitigation tool against cyber threats.

Abstract

This study explores the application of data science to analyze and improve student learning outcomes within educational environments, responding to the increasing demand for data-driven approaches in education. The objective is to identify key performance indicators that influence learning success and to develop predictive models that support personalized academic interventions. The research applies a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative data analysis from student records and qualitative insights gathered from educational stakeholders. Machine learning algorithms and statistical models are employed to identify patterns and relationships within large datasets, helping to pinpoint factors such as attendance, engagement levels, and assessment performance that most strongly correlate with learning outcomes. Results indicate that predictive models can effectively forecast student performance, allowing educators to proactively support at risk students and tailor learning experiences to individual needs. Furthermore, the findings demonstrate that integrating data science tools into educational decision-making can improve not only academic outcomes but also institutional strategies for student success. This study concludes that data science offers substantial potential for enhancing learning environments, enabling a more responsive and personalized education system that supports each student’s unique journey towards academic achievement

Abstract

The process of creating invoices has been carried out by PT. Arwana Citramulia Tbk is currently causing delays in billing invoices to customers because it requires a long process and takes quite a long time to create invoices. Delays in billing invoices to customers will cause problems in terms of payment and repayment of purchases of products that have been sold, so that the company's receivables report will increase. The need for a Web-Based E-Approval Management System is to simplify the process of approval activities by the relevant departments for the Approval process of product invoices and to apply the paperless concept to these invoices with digital signatures. The methods used to carry out the design are Unified Modeling Language, Extreme Programming and Black-Box Testing. The results obtained show that this system can simplify the approval process for product sales invoices by division heads and managers so that signing product sales invoices can be digital and it will be easier to send invoices to customers

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in Indonesia's economy, contributing more than 60% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and creating over 97% of employment opportunities. One promising sector is the processed fish food industry, which has great potential both in domestic and international markets. However, many business players, including BUMMas Inspirasi Negeri, have yet to fully maximize this potential due to limitations in business management and a lack of innovation in product packaging and marketing. Attractive and functional packaging, along with good management, has proven to be key factors in enhancing competitiveness, extending product shelf life, and strengthening brand identity. Additionally, consumers are increasingly drawn to unique packaging innovations. In the face of challenges such as market competition and limited technology, digital marketing has become essential for promoting products. Therefore, training on business management, packaging, and marketing through digital channels is crucial. The Community Service Team (PKM) from Esa Unggul University and Ma’soem University conducted a workshop for BUMMas Inspirasi Negeri, focusing on the processed fish food industry, to help business owners enhance professionalism, creativity, and product competitiveness. The outcomes of this workshop have improved the members' understanding of business management, upgraded packaging quality, expanded market reach, facilitated transactions through digital technology, and encouraged the economic well-being of the business operators

Abstract

The development and advancement of technology today are becoming increasingly complex,with one of the significant advancements being the Internet of Things (IoT) technology. IoT hasbeen implemented in various sectors, particularly in the livestock sector. However, there are stillissues where cricket farmers continue to use conventional methods in the breeding process,resulting in suboptimal processes and leading to the death of their livestock. The aim of thisresearch is to develop a system that applies IoT technology to assist cricket farmers in managingthe breeding process within cricket enclosures. These farmers face challenges in feeding theircrickets and controlling the temperature and humidity within the enclosures.The research methodis carried out by collecting needs, designing a system in the form of a system design, andimplementing the system. The system uses Arduino uno R3 as a control center, RTC DS3231 as atimer for feed using a servo motor, DHT11 to detect temperature and humidity in the cage whichwill activate the fan and heating lamp as a solution. The system uses the NodeMCU ESP8266 wifimodule which is connected to the Blynk application to monitor temperature and humidity in thecage. With this system, it helps make it easier for cricket farmers in the cultivation process.

Abstract

Perancangan sistem yang terstruktur dan terdokumentasi dengan baik merupakan kunci keberhasilan pengembangan perangkat lunak. Pemodelan UML (Unified Modeling Language) menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang penting dalam merepresentasikan sistem secara visual. Penelitian ini mendemonstrasikan pemanfaatan diagram UML (Use Case, Class, Sequence, dan Activity) untuk memodelkan sistem penjualan stiker berbasis aplikasi mobile. Diagram tersebut dibuat dengan memanfaatkan library plantuml pada bahasa pemrograman Python. Kode Python berhasil menghasilkan visualisasi diagram UML yang komprehensif, menggambarkan interaksi pengguna, alur proses, dan struktur sistem. Use Case Diagram menunjukkan fungsionalitas sistem dari sudut pandang pengguna. Class Diagram memodelkan struktur data dan relasi antar entitas. Sequence Diagram mengilustrasikan interaksi antar objek, sedangkan Activity Diagram memperjelas alur aktivitas dalam sistem. Pemanfaatan plantuml pada Python memudahkan pembuatan dan pemeliharaan dokumentasi UML. Pendekatan ini meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam perancangan sistem, memfasilitasi komunikasi antar developer, dan mendukung proses pengembangan perangkat lunak yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan pilar utama dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia suatu bangsa. Penilaian akademik adalah elemen penting yang membantu mengukur pencapaian siswa dan mengevaluasi efektivitas proses pembelajaran. Namun, banyak institusi pendidikan, termasuk Sekolah Kristen Lemuel, masih menggunakan metode manual dalam pengelolaan data akademik, yang berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahan, kehilangan data, dan menghambat efisiensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem informasi berbasis web guna mengelola penilaian akademik dengan lebih terintegrasi, efisien, dan akurat. Metode prototyping digunakan dalam pengembangan sistem untuk memungkinkan iterasi berbasis masukan pengguna. Sistem ini menyediakan fitur utama, seperti rekapitulasi nilai, pembuatan rapor, dan jadwal kegiatan, serta mendukung peran admin, guru, dan murid. Pengujian dengan metode black box menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi pengelolaan data akademik. Dengan penerapan sistem ini, Sekolah Kristen Lemuel diharapkan dapat mempercepat proses administrasi akademik dan menciptakan transparansi yang lebih baik dalam proses pembelajaran. Digitalisasi sistem penilaian ini menjadi langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan pendidikan

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Green Supply Chain Initiatives (GSCI) on Corporate Performance (CP), emphasizing the mediating role of Operational Efficiency (OE). Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS, the research analyzes survey data collected from SESINDO organizations. GSCI, encompassing practices such as green procurement, eco-design, and waste management, are examined for their impact on financial, operational, and environmental performance. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between GSCI and CP, highlighting that sustainable practices enhance financial outcomes, operational efficiencies, and environmental impact reduction. Furthermore, OE is identified as a partial mediator, amplifying the benefits of GSCI on CP. This underscores the importance of optimizing resource utilization and streamlining processes to maximize the impact of sustainability initiatives. The study contributes to theory by integrating the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Institutional Theory, offering a comprehensive understanding of GSCI adoption and outcomes. Practically, it provides actionable insights for business leaders and policymakers to promote sustainability while achieving competitive advantage. Despite its contributions, the study acknowledges limitations, such as its cross-sectional design and regional focus, and suggests future research in diverse contexts. This research underscores the transformative potential of GSCI in driving sustainable corporate success.

Abstract

Batik merupakan warisan budaya asli Indonesia yang harus dilestarikan. Kesadaran dan pemahaman hak cipta harus ditingkatkan. Pekalongan ditetapkan sebagai kota kreatif dan sebagai kiblat industry Batik.  Motif batik Pekalongan masih belum banyak didaftarkan hak cipta, seringkali saling tiru antara motif satu dengan lainnya. Workshop dan sosialisasi , peserta akan diberikan pengetahuan, ketrampilan dalam mendaftarkan jenis-jenis HAKI yang berkaitan dengan industry batik. Peserta adalah UMKM Batik sekitar Pekalongan. Target peserta 40 orang pelaku UMKM batik. Disamping  prosedur pendaftaran, hak, manfaat yang diperoleh jika HAKI terdaftar. Dari pelatihan ini diharapkan para pengrajin batik dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan melindungi kekayaan intelektualnya, memajukan industry batik, meningkatkan nilai jual produk. Kata Kunci: hak cipta, HAKI, UMKM, batik, Pekalongan

Abstract

Effective workforce scheduling is crucial for enhancing productivity and maintaining service quality at PT. Cloud Hosting Indonesia. Workforce scheduling is the process of organizing and allocating labor to various tasks and responsibilities within an organization. Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is a probabilistic technique used to solve computation problems by finding the best path through a graph. Inspired by the behavior of ants, particularly how they find food, Ant Colony Optimization can optimize shift schedules, reduce conflicts, and improve employee performance. However, there are current irregularities, insufficient rest periods, and unpredictable holidays. Ant colony optimization is applied to address these problems. The result of this shows that the Ant Colony Optimization algorithm is capable of producing more optimal schedules with high efficiency, achieving a Best Cost of 100 in 1 minute and 6 seconds. This is better compared to other methods such as Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), which achieved a Best Cost of 7600 in 4 seconds, and Genetic Algorithm (GA), which achieved a Best Fitness of 8500 in 5 seconds.
