Abstract

Coral reefs play an important role in marine ecosystems as habitats for various species of fish and other marine organisms, as well as protecting the coast from erosion and storms. However, climate change, pollution, human activities, and bleaching have resulted in declining coral conditions. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of coral mortality and its effect on the abundance of coral fish. The study was conducted in the coastal nature reserve area of East Weh Island. Data collection was carried out at two depths using the Belt Transect method and the Underwater Visual Census technique. The results showed that the level of coral mortality in the coastal nature reserve area of East Weh Island reached 0.82 ± 0.05% at Reuteuk station. These results show that coral conditions in the protected area have a very high mortality rate. However, the high coral mortality in the area did not affect the abundance of coral fish (p-value > 0.05). This value indicates that coral fish can be found abundantly in damaged coral areas. The average results of coral mortality and abundance of coral fish at depths of 3 meters and 7 meters showed no significant difference. These results illustrate that at shallow or deep depths, coral and coral fish mortality can be found at high/abundant values.

Abstract

Keberadaan Terminal Regional Daya Makassar sangat diperlukan dalam mendukung mobilitas penduduk di dalam dan dari luar Kota Makassar dan menciptakan ketertiban lalu lintas. Disamping itu, Terminal Regional Daya Makassar pun berfungsi sebagai sarana penunjang bagi peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Daerah Kota Makassar dari sektor retribusi. Keberadaan terminal bayangan yang berada di luar Terminal Metro Makassar turut berperan dalam menurunkan efektifitas fungsi dari terminal ini. Kemudahan dalam menaikkan dan menurunkan penumpang tanpa melalui terminal merupakan hal yang paling mendasar sehingga terminal bayangan sering digunakan daripada Terminal Metro Makassar. tujuan dari penelitian ini terdiri dua yaitu yang pertama menganalisis faktor-faktor berpengaruh pada kepuasan penumpang terhadap Fungsi Transit Terminal Metro Makassar dan yang kedua adalah merumuskan alternatif solusi pada aspek Implementasi faktor berpengaruh pada fungsi Transit Terminal Metro Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang paling berpengaruh dalam penilaian kepuasan penumpang adalah faktor keamanan, faktor waktu perjalanan dan faktor dampak lingkungan

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Inkuiri Terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi Sistem Pernafasan di SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan yang berada di Gampong Blang Hasan, Kecamatan Peusangan, Kabupaten Bireuen. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Eksperimen semu (Quasi Experiment). Rancangan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan pretest posttest control group design. Adapun yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing dan kelas XI 4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat empat uji instrumen penelian yaitu uji validitas, uji realibilitas , uji Tingkat kesukaran dan uji daya beda. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu soal tes (pre-tes dan post-test), modul dan LKPD. Analisis data dilakukan secara statistik terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 22. Berdasarkan Hasil ringkasan dari uji Independent Sampel t-test diketahui bahwa nilai sig (2-tailed) adalah sebesar 0,000, Maka penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi Sistem Pernapasan di SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan.

Abstract

The main focus of implementing this community service activity is to increase the human resource capacity of Salt Farmers in Bluka Teubai Village which aimed to provide knowledge and skills in the form of training in business management, marketing, packaging and improving product quality. After the activities were carried out, it is hoped that the salt farmer group will be able to develop their business more effectively and efficiently, increase productivity and business competitiveness, and improve the economic welfare of the group and the surrounding community. Based on the results of the PKM activities that have been implemented, it can be seen that there has been an increase in the capacity and skills of the Meugahna Marine Salt Farmers Group's human resources in various aspects related to marine salt farming, such as business management, marketing and improving product quality. Apart from that, developing entrepreneurship in the salt farming sector can also help increase income, thereby encouraging local economic development and the welfare of the surrounding community.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di UPTD SD Negeri 5 Makmur dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, serta siswa kelas V sebagai peserta utama. Latar belakang kegiatan ini berangkat dari hasil wawancara dengan salah satu rekan mahasiswa yang mengungkapkan bahwa minat belajar siswa masih tergolong rendah, sementara ketertarikan mereka terhadap game sangat tinggi. Selain itu, guru-guru di sekolah tersebut diketahui belum mahir dalam mengimplementasikan game edukasi sebagai bagian dari proses pembelajaran. Kondisi ini menyebabkan siswa kurang bersemangat, cepat bosan, dan sering mengantuk saat mengikuti pelajaran di kelas. Sebagai upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mengenalkan game edukasi berbasis web kepada guru dan siswa sebagai media pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa generasi digital. Tujuan utamanya adalah meningkatkan minat belajar siswa sekaligus meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran berbasis web. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pengumpulan bahan terkait game edukasi berbasis web, penyusunan rencana kegiatan, koordinasi intensif dengan pihak sekolah, serta pelaksanaan kegiatan yang berlangsung pada hari Senin, 16 Desember 2024. Dalam kegiatan ini guru diberikan pelatihan penggunaan game edukasi, sementara siswa diperkenalkan dan diajak langsung mencoba game sebagai sarana belajar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan antusiasme dan keaktifan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Guru juga mulai memahami cara kerja game edukasi berbasis web dan mampu mengintegrasikannya ke dalam kegiatan belajar. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat memberikan dampak berkelanjutan dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dan keterampilan guru dalam pemanfaatan media pembelajaran digital.

Abstract

Pesisir Timur Pulau Weh (PTPW) is a water natural reserve conservation area located in the eastern part of Weh Island. The condition of coral substrates in PTPW has suffered a lot of damage based on bleaching cases that have hit Sabang waters in 2016. Coral conditions can be measured by looking at the abundance of fish indicators of the Chaetodontidae group. Therefore, this study aimed to measure coral conditions and the abundance of Chaetodontidae coral fish, as well as analyze the relationship between the percentage of coral cover and the abundance of Chaetodontidae coral fish. Data of coral were collected using the Point Intercept Transect method with a length of 50 meters, while the abundance of fish used the Underwater Visual Census technique and the Belt Transect method with a length of 50 meters and a total belt width of 5 meters. The results showed that the coral conditions in PTPW were in poor to fair condition with the highest cover at The Sumur Tiga site (36.83%) and the lowest at The Ujung Kareung site (11.5%). The highest abundance of Chaetodontidae fish was found at Ujung Seuke site (1253.3 ind/ha) and the lowest was found at Anoi Itam site (186.7 ind/ha). The results of the correlation analysis between the percentage of coral cover and the abundance of Chaetodontidae coral fish showed a positive relationship (r = 0.482), but it was not significant (p>0.05), and the regression equation obtained Y = 17.16x + 166.52 with a determination coefficient of 18.3%, which indicated that the correlation between the two variables was very weak.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Discovery Learning model and its impact on the development of students’ critical thinking and communication skills in the topic “Understanding Animal Life Cycles” for third-grade students at SD Negeri Kampung Besar. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through observations, interviews, and documentation. All data were systematically analyzed using NVivo software to strengthen the coding process and thematic interpretation. The findings show that Discovery Learning creates a more active and meaningful learning environment through exploration, discussion, concept discovery, and reflection. Students became more engaged in independently constructing their understanding of animal life cycle stages, resulting in better comprehension and retention. Additionally, the model enhanced students’ critical thinking skills, particularly in distinguishing types of metamorphosis and providing logical, independent reasoning. Communication skills also improved through group discussions and presentations. Overall, Discovery Learning effectively increased students’ motivation, active participation, and learning effectiveness while strengthening essential 21st-century skills in elementary school learners.
