Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of community service conducted in Laut Tador Village, Batu Bara Regency. The main objective of this program is to address issues faced by the community, particularly limited knowledge of business management and product marketing for MSMEs, as well as environmental management. Implementation methods used include observation, coordination with village officials, direct mentoring of MSMEs, outreach, and community activities such as mutual cooperation. The main outcomes of this program are: 1) Three local MSMEs (Palm Palm Sugar, Palm Palm Sugar, and Etawa Goat Milk) were successfully developed through the creation of new packaging, logos, promotional banners, and location registration on Google Maps to expand market reach. 2) Environmental awareness was increased through the installation of educational waste signs and the provision of separate trash bins at SDN 06 Laut Tador. 3) Village potential was strengthened by installing signs indicating tourist directions to Lake Laut Tador. 4) The establishment of a Family Medicine Garden (TOGA) to increase public health awareness. These activities have had a positive impact on MSME independence and village community awareness.

Abstract

Program edukasi kosmetik aman pada siswa MAN 1 Kota Jambi dilaksanakan sebagai upaya meningkatkan pemahaman remaja mengenai pemilihan dan penggunaan produk kosmetik yang memenuhi standar keamanan. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya peredaran kosmetik ilegal dan kurangnya literasi siswa terkait identifikasi kosmetik berizin edar, kandungan berbahaya, serta risiko kesehatan akibat penggunaan produk yang tidak sesuai. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pretest, penyuluhan interaktif, demonstrasi cara memeriksa izin BPOM, dan post test untuk menilai peningkatan pengetahuan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman siswa mengenai kriteria kosmetik aman (p <0,001). Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi terkait pemilihan kosmetik yang digunakan untuk sehari-hari. Program ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi yang bersifat aplikatif dan sesuai konteks remaja dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dalam memilih kosmetik yang aman dan legal. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model edukasi berkelanjutan yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah guna mendukung perilaku penggunaan produk kosmetik yang bertanggung jawab di kalangan remaja.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the management of a religious habituation program in shaping the character integrity of students at SDN Sukamanah, Bandung Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the management of the religious habituation program is carried out through the stages of planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating. In the planning stage, the school sets character building goals, analyzes students' needs and characteristics, and designs religious habituation activities integrated into school activities. Organization is carried out through a clear division of roles and responsibilities between the principal and teachers in a collaborative manner. This program is implemented routinely and continuously through various religious activities supported by teacher role models and active student participation. Monitoring and evaluation are carried out continuously through observation of student behavior with an emphasis on guidance and continuous improvement. Challenges faced include limited time, differences in student backgrounds, and a lack of continuity in the religious education program between the school and families. Efforts made by the school include strengthening teacher commitment, implementing a personal approach to students, and increasing collaboration with parents. Overall, the management of the religious habituation program provides a positive contribution in consistently forming the character and integrity of students, which is integrated into the school culture.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and increasing competition, the banking industry faces major challenges in maintaining customer loyalty. Islamic banks, as alternative financial institutions, have distinctive characteristics that differentiate them from conventional banks. In the context of increasingly intense competition in the banking industry, particularly among Islamic banks, it is essential for financial institutions to build strong and sustainable relationships with their customers. This study aims to analyze the influence of relationship marketing management on increasing customer loyalty in Islamic banks operating. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey involving 200 Islamic bank customers. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and linear regression to measure the influence of relationship marketing management variables such as communication, trust, and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between relationship marketing management and customer loyalty. Effective communication and strengthened customer trust are key factors in building loyalty. These findings provide important implications for Islamic bank management, highlighting the need to develop improved marketing strategies that focus on long-term customer relationships to enhance customer retention and satisfaction.

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria transmitted through the air. Based on World Health Organization (WHO) data in 2023, it is estimated that around 8.2 million of the world's population will suffer from TB. Based on the 2023 Indonesian health profile, the prevalence of new TB cases in Indonesia is 821,200 cases. In Jambi province, the highest TB prevalence is in Jambi City, approximately 209 per 100,000 population. This study aims to determine the clinical characteristics of TB patients at a Simpang Kawat Public Health Center, Jambi. Method: This was retrospective cross-sectional study using descriptive method at the Simpang Kawat Public Health Center in Jambi City. A total of TB patients was 60 patients. Secondary data was collected from medical records. Results: The results showed that the majority of TB patients consisted of 40-59 year (35%) age group, male (68.3%), employed (55%), married (73.3%), new cases (80%), first category treatment (100%), smokers (68.3%), and no comorbidities (73.3%). Conclusion: This study show that most of TB patients in public health center was sensitive TB patients with no comorbidities.

Abstract

Background: Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a chronic complication of diabetes mellitus (DM) and remains a significant challenge in morbidity, mortality, and disability among diabetic patients. This study aims to identify the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of hospitalized DFU patients at Raden Mattaher General Hospital, Jambi. Method: This retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted at Raden Mattaher General Hospital, Jambi, Indonesia. A total of 31 patients data were collected from the medical records of DFU patients hospitalized at Raden Mattaher General Hospital in 2022. The variables observed were age, sex, residence, comorbidities, type of DM, random blood glucose levels (RBG), amputation rate, mortality, and length of stay (LOS). Results: The mean age of DFU patients was 55.6 ± 12.6 years, with females accounting for the majority (67.7%). Most patients lived outside Jambi City (74.2%), with more than one comorbidity (48.4%). All patients had type 2 diabetes mellitus (100.0%) with RBG level of 303.8 ± 205.8 mg/dL (mean±SD), amputation rate (19.4%), mortality rate (12.9%), and the mean LOS was 10.3 ± 6.9 days. Conclusion: This study indicates that most DFU patients have multiple comorbidities and poorly controlled blood glucose levels, which contribute to a higher risk of amputation, mortality, and prolonged hospitalization.

Abstract

The declining reading interest among university students, particularly toward printed books, has become an issue that requires serious attention in the digital era characterized by various distractions. Low student engagement in reading activities negatively affects literacy skills, conceptual understanding, and the development of critical thinking. This community service activity aimed to enhance students’ reading interest, reading comprehension literacy, as well as critical thinking and communication skills through a book review activity of Atomic Habits by James Clear. The activity was conducted on December 19, 2025, involving 25 participants consisting of students from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program and volunteers from Dompet Dhuafa. The implementation method employed a dialogical approach and interactive discussions, beginning with a material presentation by the facilitator, followed by question-and-answer sessions and reflective discussions. The results indicated an increase in participants’ reading interest, as measured by high attendance rates and active participation during discussions. More than 80% of participants were actively involved in asking questions and expressing opinions. In addition, participants demonstrated improved understanding of the book’s content, enhanced ability to present logical arguments, and increased confidence in communicating in a forum. This activity also resulted in the formation of an active reading community as a follow-up effort to strengthen literacy culture. Therefore, the book review activity proved to be an effective community service strategy for sustainably improving students’ reading interest and literacy competencies
